Ukrainian forces will go on the offensive, so they are now creating and expanding assault units.
The ZSU combines defensive actions with active offensive operations in various directions of the front. For this purpose, assault units are being created and scaled up, Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky said at a meeting with journalists on June 22.
"We are not going to sit in a deep defense," he emphasized, noting the importance of creating combat-ready reserves for active counteroffensive actions.
Earlier, Syrsky said where he would get forces for the offensive, and also announced control of the territory in Kursk region. According to him, the Defense Forces still control the territory of about 90 square kilometers in Kursk region.
