[Korrespondent] Ukrainian military attacked the Russian airfield Marinovka: two Su-34s were destroyed, two more were damaged.
The Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine conducted a joint special operation, as a result of which they destroyed two Su-34 fighter-bombers at the Marinovka airfield in the Volgograd region of the Russian Federation and damaged two more. This was reported by the press service of the SBU on Friday, June 27.
"The enemy actively uses these multifunctional fighters on the front line for bombing, including for dropping UABs," the report says.
It is noted that the Russian fighters were targeted using long-range drones. The attack also caused a fire in the technical and operational part of the airfield, which is a critical infrastructure of the military facility. This is where the Russians prepare aircraft for flights, carry out their ongoing maintenance and repair work.
