[Regnum] At the beginning of next week, Moscow will get colder and start to rain. This was warned on June 28 by leading specialist of the Phobos weather center Mikhail Leus.
The weather forecaster said that the weather in the capital will start to deteriorate on Sunday evening, June 29. This will happen due to a cyclone approaching from the northwest.
"On Monday, its center will reach the Upper Volga region, covering the sky above the capital with dense clouds and causing heavy rains. At the same time, it will be windy during the day and only +15…+17 degrees," Leus wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to the forecast, the weather on July 1 in Moscow will be one of the coldest on this date since the beginning of the 21st century, the air temperature will be +16…+18 degrees. Summer warmth will return to the capital on July 3.
As reported by the Regnum news agency, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Russian Hydrometeorological Center, reported on June 28 that no sustained warming is expected in Moscow in the coming days. On June 3–4, the temperature will rise to +22…+25 degrees, which corresponds to the climate norm, but then it will drop to +18…+23 degrees. Heavy rain is expected in the metropolis on July 6.
The weather in Central Russia, including Moscow and St. Petersburg, is expected to be mostly cloudy and rainy in July. At the same time, the southern regions may experience the driest summer in decades.
