[Korrespondent] The Ukrainian Armed Forces are engaged in heavy fighting in the east and south of Ukraine.
The enemy's greatest activity was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction. There, the Ukrainian Armed Forces stopped almost 20 assaults near 14 populated areas.
Since the beginning of the current day, 76 combat clashes with Russian aggressors have occurred on the front. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in an operational report as of 16:00 on Wednesday, July 2.
Thus, in the Severo-Slobodskoy and Kursk directions our defenders repelled eight enemy attacks. At present, another battle is ongoing.
In the Yuzhno-Slobodskoy direction, the occupiers attacked 12 times near Glubokoe, Volchansk, Milovoye, Ambarnoye and in the direction of Mitrofanovka. Six clashes continue.
In the Kupyansk direction, the enemy attacked six times in the areas of the settlements of Stepovaya Novoselovka, Kolesnikovka, Zagrizovo, Zelenyi Gai and in the direction of Petrovpavlika.
In the Liman direction, the Russians carried out eight attacks near the settlements of Redkodub, Torskoye, Grigoryevka and in the directions of Cherneshchyna and Novy Mir. Two clashes are still ongoing.
In the Seversky direction, the enemy is conducting one offensive operation towards Fyodorovka. The battle continues there.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy has stormed the positions of the Defense Forces five times in the direction of Bondarnoye, Markovoye and in the area of ​​Chasovy Yar. Our defenders have already stopped two assaults
In the Toretsk direction, five armed clashes occurred in the areas of the settlements of Toretsk, Petrovka, Rusin Yar and in the direction of Pleshchievka. One battle continues.
In the Pokrovsky direction, Russian invaders carried out 21 assaults near the settlements of Popov Yar, Poltavka, Mirnoye, Novoekonomichnoe, Mirolyubovka, Promen, Lisovka, Udachnoye, Novosergeevka, Dachnoye, Alekseyevka and in the directions of Vladimirivka, Razinoye, Molodetskoye. The defense forces repelled 19 attacks. Two clashes continue.
In the Novopavlovsk direction, eight battles took place in the areas of the settlements of Zaporizhia, Poddubnoye and Shevchenko. Two clashes are ongoing.
In the Orekhov direction, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding back an attack in the Kamyanskoye area.
Earlier on Wednesday, the General Staff refuted Russian propaganda claims about the seizure of a "bridgehead in the Dnipropetrovsk region ." The Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed the Russians who were able to enter the village of Dachnoye.
