Text: Tracking US Navy and US 5th Fleet activity was observed off the coast of Oman in the northern Arabian Sea, including what appeared to be two P-8 Poseidon aircraft conducting ISR missions over the area. During the tracking period, one of the two aircraft reportedly departed toward Saudi Arabia after several hours of operations, while the second aircraft remained active over the northern Arabian Sea. The area is known to have U.S. naval presence that reportedly included a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier believed to be either USS George H. W. Bush or USS Abraham Lincoln, alongside the San Antonio-class amphibious transport dock USS New Orleans (LPD-18), an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, and two Independence-class Littoral Combat Ship. |
