Wikileaks: Our Site's Been Hit By Weeklong Attack

The secret-busting organization WikiLeaks says it's been the victim of a sustained denial-of-service attack which has left its website sluggish or inaccessible for more than a week.

In a statement released late Saturday the group said the assault intensified around the beginning of August and has since expanded to include attacks against affiliated sites.Denial-of-service attacks work by overwhelming websites with requests for information.

IIUC Wikileaks thinks it was hacked after the above Artic came out, i.e. in retaliation???

CCTV is sssssoooooo-o-o late 1990's + Bush 43 - methinks the Artic is behind the times, as covert surveilllance has gone way beyond just CCTV.

#1  would call it a 'feel good' story but the operators of the site still seem to have credit scores and have not had their saving accounts emptied or seen loved ones killed (like the people whose info they 'leaked')
