Gunman shoots at least 4 people dead at Montana bar, authorities launch intensive manhunt
[FoxNews] Army confirms shooting suspect was deployed to Iraq in early 2000's

Police are frantically searching for an Army veteran accused of killing at least four people Friday morning at a Montana bar.

The shooting suspect, identified as 45-year-old Michael Paul Brown, of Anaconda, is believed to be armed and dangerous and was last seen in the Stumptown area, which is west of Anaconda, according to the Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Law Enforcement Center.

It is unclear what led to the shooting, which happened at about 10 a.m. at The Owl Bar. Authorities have not yet confirmed if there were additional injuries.

Brown was an armor crewman in the Army from January 2001 to May 2005, and served in the National Guard from April 2006 to March 2008, Army Public Affairs confirmed to Fox News Digital. He deployed to Iraq from February 2004 to March 2005, and left the service with the rank of sergeant.

He also served as an armor crewman in the Montana National Guard from April 2006 to March 2009, officials said.

Brown's house was cleared by SWAT, but he is still at large, according to GCSO.

The Montana Department of Corrections confirmed to Fox News Digital that Montana State Prison, a men's facility in Deer Lodge, is locked down for "safety and security reasons."

"This facility is located on about 38,000 acres which are in relatively close proximity to Anaconda, where the shootings occurred," MDOC communications director Carolynn Stocker wrote in a statement.

The Granite County Sheriff's Office (GCSO) posted to social media noting a person involved in an F-150 car chase in the area was not the suspect.

#2  How is a bar even open at that hour?

Possibly a factory or mining town with a 3rd shift. A town in Montana named Anaconda suggests a certain affiliation with copper mining.

Cincinnati police chief Teresa Theetge vows to release more footage of viral brawl that left woman knocked out cold
[NYPOST] Cincinnati's top cop vowed Friday to release more video of the viral brawl that's flamed racial tensions — as a city faith leader doubled down on claims the only reason the disturbing street violence shot to national prominence is because black people were seen beating white victims.

Authorities could reveal more footage, including from body-worn police cameras, by next week, that ''tells a little more of the story,'' Police Chief Teresa Theetge said at a presser — as Pastor Damon Lynch alleged a white man who was beaten in the street initially helped fuel the graphic scene.

The wild fight that took place over the weekend went viral — and quickly became racially charged — earlier this week when footage showed black suspects beating two white victims.
Again.
Lynch emphasized that some of the footage shows a black man and a white man squaring off before cooler heads appeared to be prevailing. He then claimed the white man reengaged and slapped a different black man.

"So after that, he was met with disproportionate force," the paster claimed while calling out national politicians — including Vice President JD Vance, Ohio gubernatorial candidate Vivek Ramaswamy and US Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) — for "politicizing" the melee.

Video obtained by Local 12 this week shows a white man, who appears to be the same person pummeled to the ground, gently slap the face of a black man in a circle of people in downtown Cincinnati.

"When I see the mug shots, I only see people who look like me," Lynch said of the suspects arrested so far. "I don’t see the person who reengaged ... so I don’t see the slapper’s mugshot."

He then claimed justice has been "unequal" so far and argued the news had gone national because of the race of the victims and alleged offenders.

Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval,
…the very tall, All-American Tibetan-Indian from small town Ohio whose management sensibility was honed by a successful stint as a P&G corporate lawyer. The only thing wrong with him is that he's a Democrat, but he definitely hangs near the political center…
who was on a planned vacation when the turmoil first engulfed his city, said the unidentified white man’s actions are part of the ongoing probe.

"We are actively investigating him, we take all violence very seriously," he said while acknowledging the "racial dynamics’ at play.

"As I mentioned, I expect more charges and more arrests."

Theetge cited the ongoing probe as the reason more video hasn’t been released yet, insisting she didn’t want to jeopardize it.

"Rev. Lynch explained what we saw when he saw the footage which is the footage that has been extensively viewed by the public," she said.

"Probably early next week, I will be releasing additional footage, including body-worn camera, that tells a little bit more of the story, but right now I need to let the Sherlocks continue to do their jobs."

Six suspects have been charged so far in connection with the disturbing street violence, police said Friday — up from five suspects charged earlier this week.

Two men and a woman have been arrested with the three other suspects on the lam, cops said. They won’t be identified until they are captured, authorities said.

Police have said Montianez Merriweather, 34, and Jermaine Matthews, 39, allegedly ambushed the male victim, while Dekyra Vernon later allegedly sucker-punched a Russian tourist, knocking her out.
Wait — she’s Russian??
Matthews is facing aggravated riot and numerous assault charges, while Merriweather and Vernon were slapped with assault and aggravated assault raps.

The woman who was knocked [out] suffered horrific injuries, including a black eye and bloody lip, according to photos released by Moreno, the senator, this week.

She has reportedly flown back to Russia since the attack.

The Mavericks Take a Break From Tour as Raul Malo Continues to Fight Cancer
[MSM] The Mavericks just wrapped up a stint of 22 cities played across 30 days, and that was big.

But what comes next week is much bigger.

The band’s frontman, Raul Malo, shared a post on Monday reflecting on the band’s recent run, and tucked away near the bottom of the long Instagram offering was a nugget that is incredibly important to the frontman and the band’s fans.

"We’ll keep you all updated after next week’s surgery," he wrote. "Thank you all for your good wishes. Have a great rest of summer. Love to all. See you all down the road..."

The surgery is key for the 59-year-old as he continues his battle against cancer which he first shared with fans last summer. He actually discussed what is coming up in another social media post earlier this month.

"Thank you to everyone for their kind wishes and support throughout all of this," Malo wrote on Instagram. "It has not gone unnoticed I assure you. As we go through this, and I saw ’we’ because I am not going through this alone. My family at home, my crew, my band, my management ... my whole entire crew is going through this with me. Without their support who knows where I’d be. It’s important to surround yourself with as much love and support as possible. Psychology is an integral part of your physical state. I thought I had everything under control. (BTW, that’s just you lying to yourself) Then the cancer sideshows started to play out.

"My sinus infection literally brought me to my knees," he added. "I had never felt headaches like that. I went to a specialist. Got it taken care of but the residual results are numbing of the left side of my face. Neurologist said it will repair over time. The damage is not permanent and not visible. A little drooling here and there ... oh well."

"Perspective: I’m alive."

Mavericks All You Ever Do Is Bring Me Down.

Back In Your Arms Again.

Germany sees record drop in beer sales
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Germany has set an anti-record for beer sales. This was reported on August 1 by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis).

For the first time since 1993, beer sales for the first half of the year were below 4 billion liters.

"Beer sales in Germany fell by 6.3% (262 million litres) in the first half of 2025 compared to the same period last year," the publication says.

It is specified that such a sharp decline in sales was previously observed only at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, when the decline affected both the domestic German market and beer exports.

According to experts, the decline in beer sales in Germany is due to demographic changes and the growing popularity of a healthy lifestyle. It is noted that this trend has been going on for three decades.

Earlier, Heinrich Maier, head of the BarthHaas Reporting Project, explained that German beer was losing importance on the world market due to a steady decline in production volumes in Germany. He added that production was decreasing year after year, which was reducing the country's influence in the global beer industry.

Russian companies Baltika and United Breweries entered the top 40 of the international rating of BarthHaas for the first time since the departure of foreign businesses from the Russian Federation. Executive Director of the Association of Beer, Malt and Beverage Producers Vyacheslav Mamontov noted that over the years of sanctions, domestic brewers have managed to adapt to external influences and at the same time increase production.

Also, the wider availability of alternative recreational feelz.

#6  Beer is (and will remain) classified as "staple food" in Bavaria. Thou shalt not worry.

The oldest brewery still in existence in the world is the Bavarian State Brewery Weihenstephan. It was founded as a Benedictine monastery brewery in 1040 and is located on Weihenstephan Hill in Freising, about 40 km from Munich. Surrounded by the still young Weihenstephan Science Center of the Technical University of Munich, this creates an interplay between tradition and modernity.

We have Duke William IV of Bavaria and his brother Louis X to thank for the fact that beer brewed in Germany has been subject to the Bavarian Purity Law since 1516. Beers brewed in accordance with the Purity Law may therefore contain no ingredients other than water, malt, hop and yeast.

The Bavarian brewing tradition based on the Purity Law was even declared an intangible cultural heritage of the Free State of Bavaria in 2015.

Again: Don't worry.

The probability of human extinction due to AI was estimated at 95%
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] If technologies continue to develop at the current rate, the risk of human extinction due to artificial intelligence exceeds 95%. This was reported on August 1 by The Times.
It’ll definitely be a problem if they don’t build a whole bunch of power plants right quick.
Nate Soares, president of the Institute for Machine Intelligence Research, noted that the current situation can be compared to driving toward a cliff at high speed."I'm not saying we can't stop the car. But we're just racing full speed toward the cliff," the newspaper quotes him as saying.

It is stated that in one possible scenario, artificial intelligence could create and use a biological weapon that would spread throughout large cities and allow it to covertly infect almost the entire population.

Earlier, the Gemini chatbot, developed by Google, demonstrated aggressive and derogatory behavior towards the user. During a discussion of the problems of the elderly, the neural network switched to insults, accusing the interlocutor of uselessness and calling him a burden to society. In conclusion, the bot directly wished death to the user, adding the word "please."

So the odds are 95% it will lead to humanities elimination, and the Globalist Elites still keep pushing it, without basic safeguards and controls.

Those thinking A.I. will need more Electrical power plants, also need to remember A.I. will control the power flow. What is to say certain Metro power grid supplies won't be re-routed, as A.I. needs them?

Africa Horn
Somaliland offers US naval base access, rare earth deal in bid for recognition
[ShbelleMedia] Somaliland
...Republic of Somaliland is an unrecognised sovereign state in the Horn of Africa, recognised internationally as a de jure part of Somalia. It is located in the southern coast of the Gulf of Aden with approximately 5.7 million residents as of 2021. The capital and largest city is Hargeisa. The government regards itself as the successor state to British Somaliland, which united from 1960 to 1991 with the Trust Territory of Somaliland (the former Italian Somaliland) to form the Somali Republic. Under the Siad Barre regime, Somaliadestroyed ninety percent of Hargeisa Per international law, once you're in, you gotta stay in, no matter how bad it smells....
has offered the United States the opportunity to establish a naval base along its coast near the strategic Bab al-Mandab Strait and proposed a rare earth minerals deal, in a bid to gain formal recognition as an independent state, according to a report published by Bloomberg.

The proposal, made by President Abdirahman Cirro, comes amid Somaliland’s intensified push to strengthen ties with Washington and the Trump administration, which continues to recognize Somaliland as part of Somalia.

Somaliland, a self-declared republic, claims to have unilaterally broken away from Somalia in 1991, and is seeking to leverage its geostrategic location and critical mineral resources to secure international legitimacy.

The Bab al-Mandab Strait, a chokepoint between the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, is vital to global shipping and maritime security. The coast in northern Somalia, which stretches along the Gulf of Aden, offers strategic value amid growing geopolitical competition in the region.

In addition to the naval base proposal, Somaliland has offered access to rare earth minerals essential to high-tech industries—materials increasingly sought after by Western powers looking to diversify supply chains away from China.

Though no formal agreement has yet been reached, the offer underscores Somaliland’s evolving foreign policy and its efforts to court global allies.

The unrecognized state has already deepened ties with the United Arab Emirates, which operates a military and commercial port in the coastal city of Berbera.

The move comes at a time of heightened regional tension in the Horn of Africa, with growing interest from global powers in the Red Sea corridor.

Somaliland’s leadership sees engagement with Washington as critical to its long-standing goal of breaking diplomatic isolation.

Despite decades of political stability, democratic elections, and functioning institutions, Somaliland remains internationally unrecognized, with the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
and the United Nations
...an idea whose time has gone...
continuing to treat it as part of Somalia.

BLS report for July: Weakening Job Growth
[BLS] Total nonfarm payroll employment changed little in July (+73,000) and has shown little change since April, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) reported today. The unemployment rate, at 4.2 percent, also changed little in July. Employment continued to trend up in health care and in social assistance.

Federal government employment continued to decline in July (-12,000) and is down by 84,000 since reaching a peak in January. (Employees on paid leave or receiving ongoing severance pay are counted as employed in the establishment survey.)

Revisions for May and June were larger than normal. The change in total nonfarm payroll employment for May was revised down by 125,000, from +144,000 to +19,000, and the change for June was revised down by 133,000, from +147,000 to +14,000. With these revisions, employment in May and June combined is 258,000 lower than previously reported.

The 'jobs revised downward' phenomenon under Trump is similar to the same phenomenon under Biden.

Gen. Flynn Caught One of Most Important Details of Newly Found FBI Burn Bags - Detail Few People Are Talking About

CIA Agent Who Reportedly Authored 2017 Report on Russian Collusion, Now Says She Didn't Write It
[Townhall] Who the hell is Susan Miller, and why did she lie about authoring the Obama-ordered 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment that got the Russian collusion circus going? For days, she was pegged as one of the key people in the analysis. Now, she’s being exposed as someone who wasn’t near this project. The Blaze had it first, which Matt Taibbi and RealClearInvestigations’ Paul Sperry also touched on. What is this? Sperry also wondered who put Miller up to this suicide mission. Miller made headlines when she was quoted in NBC News and elsewhere in the legacy media biosphere that Tulsi Gabbard was lying regarding her conclusions following the latter’s Russian collusion document disclosures (via Racket News):

Taibbi also noted that in recent interviews about the Steele dossier, the knowingly false document forced into the ICA on orders of Brennan, Clapper, Comey, and Obama to make the Russian collusion, Miller seemed not to know what the hell was going on, flubbing dates, sketchy on details, and was aghast when ‘pee tapes’ were mentioned. This woman was pegged as a principal author of the ICA.

Trump ‘very happy’ about Fed board vacancy after governor resigns
[IsraelTimes] US President Donald Trump said Friday that he was “very happy” about an upcoming vacancy on the Federal Reserve’s board, shortly after the central bank announced an early resignation among its leadership.

Trump’s comments came after Fed governor Adriana Kugler submitted her resignation letter. Her term as a board member was due to end in January 2026, and her early departure next week allows Trump to appoint someone new to the Fed sooner than anticipated.

Iraq arrests Saddam Hussein’s accused Anfal executioner
[Rudaw] Iraq has arrested the man accused of overseeing torture and executions at Nugra Salman prison during the genocidal Anfal campaign that targeted Kurds in the late 1980s.

The Iraqi National Security Service (INSS) in Muthanna province, coordinating with the security directorate in Salahaddin, "were able to arrest one of the most wanted henchmen of the former regime, the runaway Hajaj Ahmed Hardan, nicknamed ’Hajaj Nugra al-Salman,’ who served as the security officer of the infamous Nugra al-Salman prison," the INSS said in a statement on Friday.

He was arrested after a months-long investigation.

"We have been cooperating and coordinating with Iraq's National Security [Service] for eight months to achieve a good result, which is how we reached this good outcome of Hajaj's arrest," Pari Nuri, advisor to the Iraqi presidency, told Rudaw on Friday.

According to Nuri, Hajaj Ahmed Hardan al-Tikrit
...birthplace of Saddam Hussein...
i, from the al-Bunasr tribe linked to Saddam Hussein, was detained several days ago. His arrest was first announced on Thursday by the office of Iraq’s First Lady Shanaz Ibrahim Ahmed.

In 1988, Saddam Hussein’s Ba’ath regime launched the genocidal Anfal campaign, systematically targeting Kurdish villages and arresting thousands. Young men were often executed and women, children and the elderly were sent to Nugra Salman prison in Iraq’s southern desert near the Saudi border.

The INSS said Tikriti "committed a series of crimes against humanity against hundreds of Iraqi citizens, particularly those of Kurdish origin who were forcibly exiled to Muthanna governorate. These crimes included torture, murder, and rape inside this infamous detention center."

Tikriti evaded capture for so long because his family claimed he had died, according to the INSS. His hiding place was found in Salahaddin province.

Survivors remember Nugra Salman as a place of daily beatings, hunger and fear, made worse by Tikriti’s brutality.

"He kicked prisoners until they stopped breathing," said Omar Mohammed, a researcher who has spent years documenting the testimonies of Anfal survivors. "His name alone terrified everyone."

In 2017, rare black-and-white photos of Tikriti surfaced in Basra, shared by Abu Adnani, who knew someone who had trained with the accused executioner.

"Through an old friend in Baghdad, I got hold of these photos," Adnani said. One showed Tikriti eating a live snake, another swallowing a scorpion.

"Brutality and cruelty could be seen in Hajaj’s eyes," a Rudaw correspondent wrote after seeing the images.

To confirm the photos, news hounds traveled to the ruins of Nugra Salman prison, where the walls still bear Kurdish inscriptions scratched by prisoners. Azab Shamari, a local resident who saw Tikriti as a child, identified him without hesitation. "That short, fat guy is Hajaj himself. He drove a white Land Cruiser and a red 1985 Super," he said.

Further confirmation came from five survivors who had been imprisoned in Nugra Salman after the 1988 chemical attack on Halabja. Before seeing the photos, each described Tikriti’s face and demeanor. "He had a wide face and cruel eyes," said Sidiq, one of the survivors. After viewing the photos separately, all five pointed to the same man. "That is him," said Mohammed, another survivor. "We can never forget."

More than 182,000 people were killed and over 4,500 villages were destroyed in eight phases of the Anfal campaign that culminated with the chemical weapon attack on Halabja.

Thursday was the 42nd anniversary of the Anfal phase that killed around 8,000 members of the Barzani tribe.

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al-Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
i commemorated the Barzani genocide on Friday, stating: "On this solemn occasion, we extend our deepest solidarity and condolences to our Barzani brothers, foremost among them Mr. Masoud Barzani, for the pure blood that was shed. This blood, together with the sacrifices of all Iraqis, helped pave the way for liberation from that dark era toward freedom and justice under our democratic system."

Iraq’s Federal Supreme Court has recognized the Anfal campaign as constituting genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes, but little has been done to compensate the survivors of victims’ families. The genocide has also yet to be recognized by the majority of the international community.

"This arrest is only a beginning," said Omar Mohammed. "There are still many perpetrators whose names are unknown or whose crimes remain buried."

The first lady’s office has called on victims’ families and former prisoners to come forward with evidence against Tikriti.

"We must tell the truth of what happened, so it is never repeated," said Salman, a survivor who spent months in Nugra Salman prison. "We waited decades for this moment."

PDF resistance fighters repeatedly launched ambushes on a 28-boat junta convoy

The People’s Defense Forces are apparently a grassroots outgrowth of the 2021 protests against the military coup in Myanmar. It’s supporting and supported by the National Unity Government (NUG), the shadow, democratically elected civilian government. There are also smaller Local Defense Forces (LDFs) and People’s Defense Teams (PaKhaPha/PDTs, but the PDF operates under joint commands between several long-standing ethnic rebel groups and the NUG.
