Illegal immigrants accused of trying to run over ICE officers
[JUSTTHENEWS] Local and federal law enforcement searched for two illegal immigrants colonists who allegedly tried to ram their vehicle into U.S. Immigration and Custom Enforcement officers near Colorado Springs.

The search was started in the Black Forest area, where ICE said the immigrants colonists Thursday morning tried to run over officers from the agency's Denver office with a vehicle during an ICE operation at a construction site. ICE said one of its officers fired at the immigrants colonists' vehicle in self-defense.

''Two criminal aliens attempted to ram their vehicle into ICE officers during a targeted enforcement operation in Colorado Springs, Colorado, July 31,'' an ICE spokesperson said in a statement. ''As a result of their violent mostly peaceful actions and to protect the officers and agents onsite, an officer fired three shots into the vehicle."

The runaways, who ICE said fled and abandoned their vehicle, have not been identified.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office assisted the Department of Homeland Security and ICE after the incident and set up a containment area to preserve the scene of the crime, the sheriff's office said Friday in a news release.

At least two dozen unmarked vehicles and deputies blocked off the area, The Gazette, a Colorado Springs newspaper and website, reported.

A shelter-in-place order was placed at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the 9900 block of Burgess Road and was lifted around 6 p.m.

The sheriff's office said it used deputies assigned to its patrol division, school resource officers, drones and community service specialists. Deputies also went door to door to check on residents' safety.

Somali forces target Al-Shabaab militants in HirShabelle State operation
[ShabelleMedia] Somali government forces carried out a planned security operation Sunday in several villages of the Middle Shabelle region, targeting al-Shabaab
... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them...
fighters who had recently infiltrated the area, military officials said.

Troops from the Somali National Army (SNA) launched the operation in the settlements of Deegaanleey, Muryaale, and Ceelka Waranle, where the hard boyz were reportedly engaged in extortion and intimidation of local residents.

"Our forces successfully cleared the areas of al-Shabaab elements and arrested several individuals suspected of having ties to the group," a military commander involved in the operation told Radio Shabelle on condition of anonymity.

The arrests came amid increased security patrols in the region, with soldiers combing rural hideouts used by the al-Qaeda-linked group. No casualties were reported among the troops, and the military said no civilian harm occurred during the operation.

Residents confirmed that troops arrived early in the morning and conducted searches throughout the day.

"They moved in quietly and told us to remain indoors. Later, we heard they arrested people linked to the krazed killers," one resident in Muryaale said.

The Somali government has intensified its military campaign against al-Shabaab in recent months, aiming to dismantle the group’s network across central and southern Somalia.

bad boyz were potted in a joint military operation with the Somali army in the town of Bariire in the Lower Shabelle region.

During the operation, many Al-Shabaab forces of Evil sustained serious injuries, according to a statement by the AU mission in Somalia on Sunday.

"AUSSOM and SNAF troops are determined to recapture Bariire town and other territories still under Al-Shabaab control to ensure lasting peace and security for the people of Somalia," said El Hadji Ibrahima Diene, the special representative of the African Union Commission Chairperson (SRCC) for Somalia, in the statement.

The mission also rejected media reports suggesting heavy casualties among its soldiers during the operation.

Bariire is a strategic agricultural town located 73 kilometers (45 miles) southwest of the capital, Mogadishu.

RSF gives control of Darfur camp to Colombian mercenaries, spokesman says
[SUDANTRIBUNE] The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have handed over control of the massive Zamzam camp for displaced people to Colombian mercenaries, a camp front man alleged on Sunday, months after the RSF seized the area.

The allegation follows the broadcast of video clips by the Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
ese army, purportedly recovered from a dead fighter's phone, which appear to show Spanish-speaking mercenaries inside Zamzam camp. The army claimed the men were Colombian nationals killed in recent battles for El Fasher.

''We have witnessed with our own eyes a dual crime: the displacement of our people last April at the hands of the RSF militia, and now the occupation of the camp by foreign mercenaries,'' said Zamzam front man Mohammed Khamis Douda in a statement.

He described seeing armed, Spanish-speaking groups moving freely ''among the rubble of homes and the unburied bodies of victims,'' calling it a war crime and part of a conspiracy to hide a massacre.

Douda argued the mercenaries' presence refutes RSF claims that its attacks only targeted military sites. ''It is a war of annihilation against unarmed civilians, followed by a systematic occupation with the help of foreign mercenaries,'' he said.

The claims build on earlier reports. Military sources previously told Sudan Tribune that after seizing the camp, the RSF converted it into a military barracks, installing Howitzer cannons used to shell El Fasher from the site.

Sudanese court charges RSF leader with genocide over governor's murder
[SUDANTRIBUNE] A Sudan
...a Moslem country located in the Horn of Africa. It is noted for its affinity for rule by ex- or current generals, its holy men, and for the oppression of the native Afro population by its Arab conquerors. South Sudan, populated mostly by the natives, split off from Sudan proper, which left North and South Darfur to be oppressed by the guys with turbans...
ese counter-terrorism court on Monday charged the leader of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), his two brothers, and 13 others with genocide and crimes against humanity over the killing of West Darfur's former governor, Khamis Abdallah Abkar.

Abkar was killed on June 14, 2023, shortly after being taken into custody by the RSF. Videos later circulated showing the governor with RSF fighters, followed by graphic images of the desecration of his body.

In a statement, the Public Prosecution said the court in Port Sudan, presided over by Judge Mamoun al-Khawad, formally charged RSF leader Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo, known as Hemetti, and his brothers Abdel Rahim Dagalo and al-Quni Dagalo, with genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes, and looting.

Prosecutors said the charges relate to an attack on the city of El Geneina on April 15, 2023, which was led by Hemetti and targeted the Masalit tribe. The assault resulted in thousands of deaths, the displacement of hundreds of thousands to Chad, and the ''brutal killing and desecration of the body'' of the former governor.

Hemetti's brother Abdel Rahim, the RSF's second-in-command, and his other brother al-Quni, who manages the force's finances, were charged with criminal complicity in planning and executing the attack, prosecutors said.

The court named the RSF's West Darfur sector commander, Abdel Rahman Juma, as a fourth defendant, accusing him of leading the direct assault on El Geneina and overseeing the governor's killing. He is also charged with committing acts of genocide against the Masalit people, including the killing of 15,000 citizens, some of whom were allegedly buried alive.

Arabia
At Least 54 Dead as Migrant Boat Carrying 150 Sinks Off Southern Yemen
[KhaamaPress] A boat carrying 150 migrants colonists sank off southern Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
, killing at least 54. Dozens are missing as search operations continue amid harsh weather and growing concern.

International media outlets have reported a devastating maritime tragedy off the southern coast of Yemen, where a boat carrying approximately 150 migrants colonists capsized due to severe weather conditions. At least 54 people have been confirmed dead.

According to a Rooters report, the incident occurred on Sunday, August 3, near the Ahwar region in Yemen’s Abyan
...a governorate of Yemen. The region was a base to the Aden-Abyan Islamic Army terrorist group until it dropped the name and joined al-Qaeda. Its capital is Zinjibar. In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues...
province, along the Arabian Sea. Local health official Abdul Qadir Bajameel told Rooters that only 10 individuals survived—nine Æthiopians and one Yemeni.

Dozens more remain unaccounted for, and search-and-rescue operations are ongoing despite the difficult weather conditions. Two humanitarian responders stated that rescue efforts continue under extremely challenging circumstances.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) noted that Yemen continues to be a primary transit point for irregular migration from Africa, particularly from Æthiopia and Somalia. Migrants often brave the perilous Bab al-Mandeb Strait in hopes of reaching Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat rational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start...
and other Gulf nations in search of work and stability.

The maritime route between the Horn of Africa and Yemen is considered one of the most trafficked—and deadliest—migration corridors in the world. In 2024 alone, over 60,000 migrants colonists arrived in Yemen, a decline from the 97,200 recorded in 2023.

Since 2014, more than 2,082 migrants colonists have either drowned or gone missing along this route, according to IOM data.

68 Ethiopian migrants killed after boat capsized off Yemen coast, says UN
[IsraelTimes] A boat capsized in waters off Yemen’s coast, leaving 68 African migrants dead and 74 others missing, the UN’s migration agency says.

The tragedy was the latest in a series of shipwrecks off Yemen that have killed hundreds of African migrants fleeing conflict and poverty in hopes of reaching the wealthy Gulf Arab countries.
They would rather live in slavery than a state of self-determination?
The vessel, with 154 Ethiopian migrants on board, sank in the Gulf of Aden off the southern Yemeni province of Abyan early this morning, Abdusattor Esoev, head of the International Organization for Migration in Yemen tells The Associated Press.

He says the bodies of 54 migrants washed ashore in the district of Khanfar, and 14 others were found dead and taken to a hospital morgue in Zinjibar, the provincial capital of Abyan on Yemen’s southern coast.

Only 12 migrants survived the shipwreck, and the rest were missing and presumed dead, Esoev says.

Tajikistan Reports Surge in Border Clashes with Afghanistan’s Drug Traffickers
So much for Talib promises to end narcotics production in Afghanistan.
[KhaamaPress] Tajikistan recorded ten armed festivities with Afghanistan narcos this year, mostly near Badakhshan. Over three tons of narcotics were seized amid rising cross-border tensions.

Tajikistan authorities have reported ten armed confrontations with narcos along the Afghanistan border during the first half of this year, marking a significant increase compared to the same period last year.

According to Tajik media on Monday, August 4, Zafar Samad, head of the country’s Drug Control Agency, stated that most of these incidents occurred near Afghanistan’s Badakhshan province. In the most recent clash, four Afghanistan nationals were killed.

Afghanistan remains the main source of narcotics smuggled through Tajikistan. The Akipress agency reported that a total of 3,107 kilograms of narcotics have been seized so far this year, over one ton of which was intercepted near the border.

Tajikistan officials have stressed that drug trafficking has risen compared to last year. The Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
has not commented on these developments.

Authorities in Tajikistan have consistently expressed concern about the presence of terrorist groups and drug trafficking networks operating from Afghanistan territory. These ongoing confrontations highlight the deepening security risks along the border.

Court extends arrest of defendants in Crocus terrorist attack case for six months
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The Second Western District Military Court extended the arrest period of the perpetrators and accomplices of the terrorist attack at the Crocus City Hall concert hall in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, by six months. This was reported on August 4 by the representative of 127 victims, lawyer Lyudmila Aivar.

“The court ruled to extend the defendants’ detention for six months, until 01/07/2026,” REN TV quotes her as saying.

The prosecutor requested an extension of the arrest period.

Earlier, on August 4, a criminal case began in Moscow against the perpetrators and accomplices of the terrorist attack in Crocus. More than 50 victims and their representatives participated in the process, which was held behind closed doors.

The perpetrators of the terrorist attack in Crocus, Dalerdzhon Mirzoyev, Shamsiddin Fariduni and Muhammadsobir Faizov (individuals included in the Russian Federation list of terrorists and extremists) fully admitted their guilt.

The accomplices in the case of the terrorist attack in Crocus refused to fully admit guilt. And Isroil, Dilovar, Aminchon Islomov and Alisher Kasimov (individuals included in the list of terrorists and extremists in the Russian Federation) declared their innocence.

ICE crackdown imperils Afghans who aided U.S. war effort, lawyers say
[WashingtonPost] One former interpreter for U.S. forces in Afghanistan was detained by immigration agents in Connecticut last month after he showed up for a routine green card appointment. A second was arrested in June, just minutes after attending his first asylum hearing in San Diego.

As the administration seeks to fulfill President Donald Trump
...dictatorial for repealing some (but not all) of the diktats of his predecessor, misogynistic because he likes pretty girls, homophobic because he doesn't think gender bending should be mandatory, truly a man for all seasons...
’s pledge to carry out the largest deportation operation in U.S. history, attorneys for the men say their clients — Afghans who fear retribution from the Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
for their work assisting the United States in its 20-year war in Afghanistan — have found themselves in the crosshairs of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The attorneys provided The Washington Post with military contracts and certificates, asylum and visa applications, recommendation letters and other records that described both men’s work on behalf of U.S. forces during the war.

After Kabul fell to the Taliban in August 2021, President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity....
’s administration moved to resettle Afghans who had worked for the U.S. government through the Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) program, which grants lawful permanent resident status and a pathway to U.S. citizenship. As of April, about 25,000 Afghans had received an SIV, and another 160,000 had pending applications, said Adam Bates, an attorney with the International Refugee Assistance Program who analyzed State Department data.

But the Trump administration is rolling back programs created to assist more than 250,000 Afghans — including the allies who worked for U.S. forces and other refugees who fled after the Taliban takeover. And while administration officials say SIV processing will continue, advocates for Afghans who served with U.S. troops fear the curtailment of programs they depend on, along with Trump’s ambitious deportation plan, jeopardizes those still vying for SIV protection.

They point to the arrests of Zia, 36, and Sayed Naser, 33, whose attorneys argue they followed proper immigration processes. The Post agreed to withhold the last names of both men because of the ongoing threats to their lives from the Taliban.

"Zia is not an outlier," his attorney Lauren Cundick Petersen said during a news conference last month. "We’re witnessing the deliberate redefinition of legal entry as illegal for the purpose of meeting enforcement quotas."

Matt Zeller, an Army veteran whose Afghan interpreter saved his life in a 2008 firefight, co-founded the nonprofit No One Left Behind to help resettle Afghans. He said he fears the immigration crackdown will unwind that effort.

"The Trump administration knows what’s going to happen to these folks. They’re not stupid. They understand that the Taliban is going to kill them when they get back to Afghanistan," Zeller said. "They just don’t care."

In response to questions from The Post, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said the administration’s top immigration enforcement priority is "arresting and removing the dangerous violent mostly peaceful, illegal criminal aliens that Joe Biden let flood across our Southern Border — of which there are many."

"America is safer because of President Trump’s immigration policies," she said.

Zia worked as an interpreter and cultural adviser at Camp Mike Spann in Mazar-e Sharif, Afghanistan, from about 2005 until 2009, Petersen, his attorney, told The Post.

Because of his work, Zia "suffered and continues to suffer threats to the life and property of himself and his family members by enemy forces and criminal elements," says a recommendation letter from a supervisor who oversaw Zia’s interpreter work.

The father of five fled to Pakistain with his family in 2021. There, Zia applied for an SIV, while his youngest brother — already a U.S. citizen — applied for humanitarian parole on Zia’s behalf.

In April 2024, the State Department approved Zia’s SIV application, according to a letter from the U.S. Embassy in Kabul. He also received humanitarian parole that year, which temporarily granted him and his family entry into the United States. Zia and his family flew to New York in October, eventually resettling in Connecticut, and was in the process of applying for a green card, Petersen said.

"He rented a home, he’d settled his kids into school, he’d found full-time employment," Petersen said.

Zia was detained by ICE outside an immigration office in East Hartford on July 16 and given an expedited-removal order, Petersen said. The Department of Homeland Security has said Zia is under investigation for a "serious criminal allegation," but Petersen said during the news conference that her client does not have a criminal record.

Zia, who as of July 31 was being held at Plymouth County Correctional Facility in Massachusetts, has filed a habeas petition seeking his release from detention. On July 17, a federal judge temporarily blocked Zia’s removal from the country.

In a court filing, DHS argued that Zia is a "risk to the national security of the United States." DHS declined to comment further on the allegations against Zia.

Sayed Naser is in a similar situation.

According to his asylum declaration, Sayed Naser worked as an interpreter for U.S. troops at a training center in Kabul from 2011 until 2013, before co-founding a logistics company that contracted with the U.S. military to provide transportation, support demining missions and lease heavy machinery.

Sayed Naser said he faced "numerous threats and attacks" for his work: "over seven of our vehicles were burned by the Taliban," he wrote in the asylum declaration. "To them, anyone or any company working with foreign forces is considered an infidel and a legitimate target."

He and his family went into hiding in 2021, after Taliban fighters stormed a relative’s wedding in Kabul looking for him, according to his attorney, Brian McGoldrick. Unable to find the man, the Taliban instead killed Sayed Naser’s brother and took his father into custody, Sayed Naser wrote in his asylum declaration.

After obtaining a visa to enter Iran, Sayed Naser flew to Brazil and then traveled to Mexico. He was allowed to enter the United States in July 2024 after receiving humanitarian parole. He has a pending SIV application and has separately applied for asylum.

In June, Sayed Naser was detained by ICE in a San Diego courthouse just minutes after attending his first asylum hearing. Attorneys for DHS had moved to dismiss Sayed Naser’s asylum claim, with the agency saying on social media there is no record he assisted the U.S. government in any capacity.

An asylum officer determined in July that Sayed Naser faces a credible fear of persecution or torture if deported, according to McGoldrick, and made him eligible to reapply for asylum. He remains in ICE custody at the Otay Mesa Detention Center in San Diego.

"To the American government: I believed in you. I worked with you. I helped you for years, side by side. I trusted your words and followed your rules," Sayed Naser said in a June 29 statement to media. "Now, I sit in detention — treated like a criminal for doing exactly what I was told to do."

#2  The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan was not an ally.

It was a passive aggressive, murderously intolerant theocratic abomination that did not even recognize the fundamental sovereignty of Western nations on the basis of peaceful coexistence.

Letting Afghans immigrate into Western nations is an act of suicidal empathy.

Good deeds of this kind have been amd will be punished.

Lawyers seeking Palestinian American businessman accused of aiding Hamas cannot find him
[IsraelTimes] Lawyers who are suing Bashar Masri, a leading Palestinian American businessman accused of aiding Hamas, say they are unable to locate him.

Victims of the October 2023 Hamas attack on Israel sued Masri in April. The lawsuit argued that Hamas deceived Israel ahead of the invasion by feigning an interest in developing Gaza, and that Masri and his companies were “an integral part of that grand deception.”

Some of Masri’s development projects appeared to be legitimate, but were also used to build and hide Hamas tunnels, store rockets, host Hamas leaders, train Hamas operatives, and produce electricity for Hamas tunnels, the case said.

Masri served on the dean’s council at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and resigned after the lawsuit was filed.

Lawyers in the case, filed in the federal US District Court for the District of Columbia, say they are unable to locate Masri to serve him a legal summons.

They asked the court on Friday to allow “alternative means” to reach Masri, including by publishing the complaint and summons in the Israeli newspaper Yediot Ahronot. Masri gave the newspaper a statement about the lawsuit, indicating he is aware of the case and likely follows the outlet.

The lawyers say Masri is believed to be in Palestinian-controlled territory, but they are unable to find an address and their efforts to serve him in the US have been unsuccessful. Masri has a residence in Washington, DC.

Masri’s office has denied the allegations, saying he “unequivocally opposes violence of any kind.”

Military source: Wanted Palestinian killed, another arrested in IDF raid near Jenin
[IsraelTimes] A wanted Palestinian was killed and another was arrested by Israeli forces during a raid in the West Bank town of Qabatiya, near Jenin, this morning, according to a military source.

The raid was carried out by officers of the police’s elite Yamam unit and troops of the IDF’s Duvdevan commando unit.

The Yamam officers opened fire on the wanted Palestinian they sought to arrest after he tried to flee the area, the source says.

The Palestinian Authority health ministry names him as Youssef al-Amer, 33. The ministry says it was informed of his death by the PA’s General Authority of Civil Affairs, indicating that the body is being held by Israeli authorities.

Simultaneously, the Duvdevan commandos detained another Palestinian suspected of terror activity, the source adds.

Given the Open Borders the DEM's blessed us with, who knows what was brought in, and the given generally already overloaded skies.

What's to keep a hostile, from having already smuggled in mass destruction weapon parts, and later assembling them, renting a commercial cargo plane, shipping it to, or in close proximity of a targeted location.

Or use CCP non-stop flights to NYC, STL & SF with HEMP's.
It could just ship it in mixed with TEMU or Alibaba goods.

Civilian killed in ‘terrorist cell’ attack on Kurdish forces in Rojava
[Rudaw] A civilian was killed on Sunday when a “terrorist cell” opened fire on a checkpoint manned by the Kurdish-led internal security forces (Asayish) in northeast Syria (Rojava), the force confirmed in a statement.

According to the Asayish, a “terrorist cell blocked the road ahead of civilians near one of our checkpoints in the town of Darnaj in eastern Deir ez-Zor countryside.” The assailants then “opened direct fire on our personnel while they were carrying out their security duties.”

“A civilian who was near the scene was injured and subsequently died,” the Kurdish-led forces noted, adding that their forces returned fire, prompting the attackers to flee. The statement further relayed that investigations are ongoing “to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and to pursue and hold the perpetrators accountable.”

The latest incident follows a recent uptick in attacks targeting Kurdish-led forces in Rojava and surrounding regions.

On Saturday, suspected Islamic State (ISIS) militants killed a school principal in a hit-and-run attack in Deir ez-Zor province. Earlier in the week, unidentified gunmen carried out two separate assaults on Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) positions, killing one fighter and injuring two others.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) recently reported that since the beginning of 2025, it has documented 126 ISIS operations in areas governed by the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES). These attacks included armed assaults, targeted killings, and bombings, resulting in 51 deaths - including 34 SDF fighters, nine civilians, and eight ISIS members.

Serving as the de facto army in Rojava, the US-backed SDF was instrumental in defeating ISIS in 2019 and capturing thousands of the group’s fighters.

Both the Asayish and the SDF are also primarily responsible for securing the Roj and al-Hol camps in Rojava, which house thousands of individuals suspected of ISIS ties.

Since its defeat in 2019, ISIS has been trying to regain its strength, however, the group ramped up efforts after a coalition of opposition groups led by the now-dissolved Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) on December 8 toppled the regime of Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.

SDF chief Mazloum Abdi has repeatedly warned of the growing threat posed by ISIS. In mid-January, he urged the “need to intensify efforts to continue the fight against ISIS if we don’t want to see it make a comeback.”

State-affiliated factions, Kurdish-led forces clash again in northern Syria
[Rudaw] Clashes broke out again early Monday between the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and Syrian government forces in northern Syria, the SDF said, blaming Damascus for the aggression. The US special envoy for the country called for calm and dialogue.

The US-backed SDF said in a statement that factions affiliated with the Syrian interim government "launched an attack on four of our positions" in Deir Hafer in Aleppo province. "Our forces confronted the attack and responded as necessary in defense of our positions and fighters. Clashes ensued and continued for 20 uninterrupted minutes."

It held Damascus "fully responsible" for the attack, stressing that they reserve the right to respond "with full force and determination."

The festivities come a day after both sides exchanged blame for an attack in northern Syria’s Manbij city. The festivities injured four Syrian government troops and three civilians, according to the state-run SANA news agency.

The renewed attacks are placing a landmark integration deal between Damascus and the Kurdish-led northeast Syria (Rojava) administration at risk.

Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa and SDF chief Mazloum Abdi signed a deal in March to integrate the SDF into the Syrian state apparatus and recognize the Kurds as an integral part of Syria.

The deal, which has largely stalled in recent months, also includes a countrywide ceasefire and stipulates the return of displaced Syrians to their hometowns.

The SDF is insisting on integrating as a unit while Damascus wants individual integrations.

US Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barrack said on X that the recent festivities between the SDF and Damascus forces are "disturbing" and called on both sides to "uphold calm and resolve differences through dialogue, not bloodshed. Syria deserves stability. Syrians deserve peace."

The state-affiliated forces were also engaged in festivities with Druze Death Eaters in the southern province of Suwayda on Sunday, days after a US-brokered fragile ceasefire.

Barrack said diplomacy should be sought for resolving both issues.

"Disturbing violence erupted like lava from a volcano yesterday in Suwayda, and in Manbij. Diplomacy is the best way to stop violence and build a peaceful, lasting solution. The US is proud to have helped mediate a solution in Suwayda and to be co-mediating with La Belle France the reintegration of the northeast into a unified Syria," he said on Monday.
