Trump loyalist sparks debate with video showing hundreds praying to Allah in park founded to remember George Washington
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Trump loyalist Charlie Kirk has sparked debate after sharing a video showing hundreds of Moslems participating in prayer in New York, calling the Democrat city the 'third world'.

The controversial political activist shared the footage that showed a large group of people gathered in Washington Square Park in New York City for prayer.

'Import the third world, become the third world', Kirk posted to his social media while sharing drone footage of the gathering, along with the caption 'This is New York City, not the Middle East.'

It remains unclear when the video was captured, but Moslems gather in the public park every year to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, the end of the holy month of Ramadan - which occurred on March 30 this year.

Supporters of Kirk, who has advocated for Christian nationalism, backed his post - with many pointing out that the park and nearby arch was founded to commemorate avid Christian and founding father, George Washington.

One wrote: 'Our founding fathers could never have imagined.'

Another supporter of his added: 'It must stop!! Otherwise there will be no return from this.' While a third said: 'So if we go to Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and occupy the town square for a Christian prayer. All good?'

And another wrote under the post: 'But if we worship God in their country we’re killed.'

Puntland prepares military operation against Al-Shabaab in Sanaag’s Calmadow mountains
[ShabelleMedia] The Puntland
...a region in northeastern Somalia, centered on Garowe in the Nugaal province. Its leaders declared the territory an autonomous state in 1998. Puntland and the equally autonomous Somaliland seem to have avoided the clan rivalries and warlordism that have typified the rest of Somalia, which puts both places high on the list for Islamic subversion...
administration is preparing a military operation targeting al-Shabaab
... the personification of Somali state failure...
bandidos murderous Moslems entrenched in the Calmadow mountains of Somalia’s Sanaag region, security sources told Radio Shabelle.

Armed Puntland forces are set to be deployed soon for the operation, with reports indicating ongoing troop mobilizations and equipment readiness.

Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni previously pledged that the operation against the ISIS-affiliated group in the Cali Miskaad mountains would be followed by a campaign targeting al-Shabaab in Calmadow.

Additionally, Puntland Maritime Police Force (PMPF) units are expected to be stationed in the coastal town of Lasqoray in Sanaag, where a new official base will be established to strengthen security along the Gulf of Aden coastline.

Sources confirmed that this will be Puntland’s second-largest PMPF base after Bosaso, aimed at enhancing maritime and territorial security in the region.

The planned offensive, dubbed "Operation ONKOD," seeks to eliminate al-Shabaab’s presence in the mountainous terrain of Calmadow.

Reports also suggest that the Puntland forces’ deployment aims to assert the regional administration’s control over Sanaag, amid competing claims from the federal government-backed Puntland and the breakaway Somaliland
...Republic of Somaliland is an unrecognised sovereign state in the Horn of Africa, recognised internationally as a de jure part of Somalia. It is located in the southern coast of the Gulf of Aden with approximately 5.7 million residents as of 2021. The capital and largest city is Hargeisa. The government regards itself as the successor state to British Somaliland, which united from 1960 to 1991 with the Trust Territory of Somaliland (the former Italian Somaliland) to form the Somali Republic. Under the Siad Barre regime, Somaliadestroyed ninety percent of Hargeisa Per international law, once you're in, you gotta stay in, no matter how bad it smells....
administration, which recently declared control over Laascaanood town in neighbouring Sool region.

The situation in Sanaag remains complex and tense, with a three-way contest involving Puntland, Somaliland, and the newly formed Northeast Somalia administration vying for influence.

As Al-Shabab Gains Ground, Critics Say Somalia's President Is Losing Grip on Security
[Garowe] President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud first portrayed himself as a reformist and al-Shabaab
... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them...
exterminator but along the way, these credentials have quickly eroded, exposing him to criticism from the opposition, which accuses him of maladministration.

Under his watch, the country is facing unprecedented constitutional changes, which critics insist are avenues to extend term limits, given that the country does not have the capacity to coordinate national direct elections due to weak institutions.

But most criticism towards him is anchored on the fact that al-Shabaab fighters are gaining ground under his watch — the group has taken over strategic towns of Moqokori, Adan Yabaal and Mahas, posing a potential threat to the administration in Mogadishu.

However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
the president maintains he is the ultimate 'liberator' while taking credit for the operations against al-Shabaab, which at first made significant gains. He claims to have survived al-Shabaab attacks on multiple occasions.

While it is difficult to verify these claims, Thursday's liquidation of Abukar Sadiq could give him a lifeline. Abukar is said to have been a senior National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) official investigating the alleged attempts to assassinate President Hassan Sheikh.

The sleuth, aged 31at the time of his death, was the lead investigator of the incident and was killed on Thursday within the Sigale neighbourhood where officers were planning to arrest an al-Shabaab suspect.

According to security sources, the suspect managed to flee the scene.
... as though they had never been...
after which gunfire broke out. Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, but Sadiq was fatally maimed, leading to his death.

Intelligence reports indicate that Sadiq was meant to hand over the investigation report on the suspected liquidation attempt of Hassan Sheikh Mohamud by al-Shabaab gunnies in March 2025. The roadside kabooming targeted the presidential motorcade on the road linking the presidential palace and Mogadishu airport.

His killing has raised questions about possible infiltration of the al-Shabaab in critical security agencies — the group is known for planting spies in several agencies and even in the army to destabilise operations targeting them on the frontlines.

NISA has detained several officers who were with him during the operation. Sources within the intelligence community suggest growing suspicion that Sadiq may have been deliberately targeted by colleagues due to the sensitive nature of the information he had uncovered.

In 2021, Ikran Tahlil, a young female intelligence officer, went missing near NISA headquarters. Her fate remains unknown, and no formal investigation has been conducted into her disappearance.

The presidency has not given any report about Sadiq's death, but President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has often claimed his life is in danger, attributing his misfortunes to the fight against al-Shabaab bully boys.

However,
if you can't be a good example, then you'll just have to be a horrible warning...
critics accuse him of internal sabotage, including his inability to coordinate consistent operations against al-Shabaab in central and southern regions. Instead, they insist he is polarising the country through endless political wrangles.

Britain
Good news from UK: three groups to be proscribed as terrorist orgs: Palestine Action, Maniacs Murder Cult and Russian Imperial Movement
From: Home Office and The Rt Hon Yvette Cooper MP
1. July2025
[UKgov] Three dangerous, terrorist groups will be banned under plans announced by the Home Secretary today.

A draft proscription order has been laid in Parliament which will proscribe Palestine Action (PA), as well as two further groups: the Maniacs Murder Cult (MMC) and the Russian Imperial Movement (RIM).

This will make it a criminal offence to be a member of one of these groups or to invite or recklessly express support for them.

Parliament will now consider and debate the draft Order and if passed, the Order will make it an offence punishable by up to 14 years in prison to belong to or support the groups.
Here’s hoping Parliament actually passes it. There are no guarantees in a democracy.
Proscription is ideologically neutral.
But proposal for proscription is highly ideological, which is as it should be
By deciding to proscribe these three organisations, the government is demonstrating its zero tolerance approach to terrorism, regardless of its form or underlying ideology. National security is the government’s first priority and it will not shy away from this responsibility.

As previously put to Parliament by the Home Secretary on 23rd June, her intention to proscribe Palestine Action after following its orchestration and enaction of aggressive and intimidatory attacks against businesses, institutions and the public, which has crossed the thresholds established in the Terrorism Act 2000.

Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said:

National security is the first duty of any government, we will always take the action needed to protect our democracy and national security against different threats.

Maniacs Murder Cult, Palestine Action and the Russian Imperial Movement have each passed the threshold for proscription based on clear national security evidence and assessments.

The right to protest and the right to free speech are the cornerstone of our democracy and there are countless campaign groups that freely exercise those rights. Violence and serious criminal damage has no place in legitimate protests.

These include attacks at Thales in Glasgow in 2022; and last year at Instro Precision in Kent and Elbit Systems UK in Bristol. The attack on the Thales defence factory in Glasgow, caused over £1 million worth of damage to parts essential for submarines. Staff fled for safety as pyrotechnics and smoke bombs were thrown in evacuation areas.

Such acts do not represent legitimate acts of protest and the level of seriousness of Palestine Action’s activity has met the test for proscription under the Terrorism Act 2000.

MMC is a white supremacist, neo-Nazi organisation that is transnational and predominantly online. It aims to encourage individuals to engage in acts of violence against those it perceives as "anti-social", to further its causes.

MMC leaders and members have claimed a number of violent attacks globally. MMC supplies instructional material which provides information that can be used by an aspiring attacker to increase their capability or motivation to conduct a terrorist attack posing a threat to the UK.

Proscription will help deter individuals from engaging with MMC’s violent and misanthropic content. Further supporting social media platforms to remove MMC content and the Police in their efforts to respond to individuals found in possession of such material.

RIM is a white supremacist, ethno-nationalist organisation which seeks to create a new Russian Imperial State. Via its paramilitary unit, the Russian Imperial Legion, RIM has fought alongside Russian forces in Putin’s illegal invasion of Ukraine, directly advancing its own ideological causes.

RIM manages a paramilitary training programme called Partizan, which increases the capability of attendees to conduct terrorist attacks. In 2016, two Swedish nationals attended Partizan before committing a series of bombings in Gothemburg, Sweden.

Proscribing RIM will continue the steadfast support of Ukraine in its resistance to Russian aggression and demonstrate the UK’s commitment to countering future threats from Extreme Right-Wing Terrorists.

Should Parliament vote to proscribe, the right to peaceful protest will remain protected. As will the ability to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and to oppose actions of the Israeli government. The government has carefully considered the nature and scale of Palestine Action’s activities to ensure legitimate protest is not affected.

The proscription orders will be debated in Parliament during this week. If approved, the orders will come into over the weekend.

This will mean that a total of 84 organisations are proscribed by the UK.

Exactly what I hoped from you when I gave that feedback — thank you!

Caribbean-Latin America
L'Antidiplomatico: Mexican mercenaries train in Ukrainian Armed Forces to attack the US
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.

Threatening us with a good time...

[Regnum] Mexican mercenaries are joining the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) to prepare for an attack on the United States. This is reported by the Italian publication L'Antidiplomatico, citing American official Stephen Willoughby.
And who, pray tell, is this Mr.Willoughby? I found a bunch of them in a quick internet search, but none in the federal government.
The publication clarified that members of Mexican cartels join the Ukrainian Armed Forces not for ideological reasons, but in order to practice conducting combat operations in modern conditions. In particular, in conditions of active use of drones.

"It's only a matter of time before these technologies are used to attack the United States. Cartels are already using drones for drug trafficking, reconnaissance, and even armed attacks," Willoughby said.

He called Ukraine "a testing ground for organized crime."
That's pretty funny in view of the fact of how widespread organized crime is in eastern Europe.
It is also specified that the National Intelligence Center of Mexico has already warned the Ukrainian special services that criminals serve in the Ukrainian Armed Forces, after which Kyiv began an investigation.

At the end of July, Regnum IA observer Olga Kuznetsova wrote about the formation of a new unit of mercenaries from Mexico called Miquiztli Force in the ranks of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. It was later revealed that the recruitment process was organized by the Ukrainian embassies in Latin America - Mexican and Peruvian.

In addition, according to Kuznetsova, while mercenaries are traveling from overseas to Ukraine, weapons are being sent in the opposite direction, initially sent to the Kiev regime by Western countries.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Chechnya and Dagestan demonstrate different approaches to providing assistance to Palestine
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] Against the backdrop of the suspension of private initiatives in Chechnya to collect aid for the Gaza Strip, the national-cultural autonomy of the Palestinians could accumulate funds. In Dagestan, charitable organizations are organizing aid in the Gaza Strip.

As "Kavkazsky Uzel" wrote, the activities of charitable organizations collecting aid for Palestine have been suspended in Chechnya; the authorities explained this decision by the lack of transparency and concerns that the money could be misused. At the same time, the authorities reminded that aid to Palestine is provided by Kadyrov's foundation. The heads of the foundations assured that all the funds already collected are in full safety in the organizations' accounts. After establishing verified channels for transferring aid to the Gaza Strip, the donated money will be used for its intended purpose.

The Chechen authorities reported the arrival of 209 refugees from Palestine, and several months later the families were given keys to their apartments. Earlier, the head of the Chechen Republic, Akhmed Dudayev, said at a meeting with the refugees that they should maintain cleanliness and be more organized, and that they should not rush the republic's authorities to solve their problems. Dudayev's reproaches to the guests contradict Chechen traditions  of hospitality, noted experts on the Caucasus and human rights activists.

The cottage village of two-story houses, where refugees from Palestine who arrived in Chechnya now live, was built in a surprisingly short time, Rustam, a resident of the Staropromyslovsky district of Grozny, told a correspondent of the "Caucasian Knot".

"Not only houses were built, but the entire territory was landscaped, paths were paved, lawns were laid out, there are well-equipped playgrounds,"
It sounds charming. Even if it’s Third World construction, at least it isn’t fully boobytrapped and partial rubble. They have much to be grateful for…
Rustam, whose house is located next door, two streets away, shared what he saw. "It is unrealistic to get into the territory yourself, there is 24-hour security at the entrance, probably because refugees from Palestine live in five cottages," the man suggested.

A relative of Grozny resident Umidat was one of those responsible for the work carried out at this facility. "He was busy from morning until night, according to him, the strictest quality control department was the hostesses of those families who moved into the apartments. The women paid special attention to the kitchen with built-in kitchen furniture and the necessary equipment. All the requests and demands of the hostesses were satisfied," Umidat told a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, citing the words of a relative.

Among the 250 Palestinian refugees, 23 people have higher medical education, and all of them speak Russian because they studied at Russian medical institutes. "They are all employed and work as doctors. Among them are doctors with 20 years of experience. Patients note the high professional level of Palestinian doctors, their attentiveness and kindness, especially to the elderly," an employee of the Chechen Ministry of Health told a "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

According to her, it was more difficult to resolve the issue of employment for Palestinian women from the mid-level medical staff, who could not communicate in any other language except Arabic. "In the end, we came to a common denominator: the women began to learn Russian directly in the workplace, and the doctors and mid-level medical staff helped them with this," the publication's interlocutor said.

From the very first days, the priority on the agenda of the Chechen Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education was caring for the refugees who arrived, Malika, an official in the administration of the head of Chechnya, told a correspondent for the "Caucasian Knot".

When asked whether any campaigns to collect humanitarian aid for the Palestinians had been announced in the republic, employees of budgetary organizations and school directors, both urban and rural, answered in the negative. "No one: neither the heads of administrations, nor the leadership of ministries and departments, approached their subordinate organizations with such proposals," said Musa, a university lecturer.

According to him, there was no need for this, because the Kadyrov Public Foundation, in addition to impressive financial support for the residents of Gaza, sent planes there with "humanitarian aid": food, medicines. "The residents of Grozny and the republic learned about this from television reports and articles by journalists from both local and federal media," Musa said.
Given that, it is absolutely shocking to see reports of starvation in Gaza. How can it be, unless Hamas were stealing the supplies so generously donated by pious Chechen Moslems for their brothers-in-faith?

Gazan student deported from France to Qatar due to antisemitic social media posts
That was fast. If only they could do the same for their own terrorists and colonizers…
[IsraelTimes] A student from Gaza who had been studying in France on a scholarship left for Qatar today, ordered out over antisemitic comments found on her social media accounts, the foreign ministry says.

Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot “stressed the unacceptable nature of the comments made by Ms. Nour Attaalah, a Gazan student, before she entered French territory,” says the ministry statement.

“Given their seriousness, Ms. Attaalah could not remain on French territory. She left France today to go to Qatar to continue her studies there,” it adds.

The young woman, who received a student visa and a government scholarship as part of a program for Gazan students, had been due to join Sciences Po Lille in the fall.

She arrived in France on July 11, according to a French diplomatic source. But social media posts from the past two years calling for the killing of Jews, since deleted, were discovered.

Barrot said Friday that France was freezing all its student evacuation programs from Gaza pending the outcome of the investigation into how the posts had been missed. The foreign ministry would not say how many students have been affected, citing privacy reasons.

Athens mayor tussles with Israeli envoy over antisemitic graffiti in Greek capital
[IsraelTimes] Haris Doukas lashes out at ‘those who kill civilians’ after Ambassador Noam Katz says Israeli tourists in Greece feel ‘uncomfortable’ with vandalism by ‘organized minorities’

The mayor of Athens became embroiled in a war of words Sunday with the Israeli ambassador to Greece who accused city authorities of not doing enough to clean up antisemitic graffiti.

Ambassador Noam Katz told the Kathimerini daily in comments published Sunday that Israeli tourists felt "uncomfortable" in Athens because the Mayor Haris Doukas does not act against "organized minorities" who put up anti-Jewish graffiti.

Doukas responded within hours on X: "We have proved our strong opposition to violence and racism and we do not take lessons in democracy from those who kill civilians."

"Athens, capital of a democratic country, fully respects its visitors and supports the right of free expression of its citizens," the Socialist PASOK party mayor added.

"It is revolting that the ambassador concentrates on graffiti (that is clearly wiped off) while an unprecedented genocide is taking place in Gazoo

," Doukas added.

Greece, as well as several other European nations, has seen a number of left-wing led pro-Paleostinian demonstrations. A cruise ship carrying Israeli tourists around the Greek islands was greeted by demonstrations in several ports.

While following a pro-Arab policy for several decades, Greece has since 2010 stepped up links with Israel, notably on security and energy.

According to the Athens mayor, the number of Israelis who have secured Greek residents permits by buying property increased by 90 percent last year.

Red Cross renews its call to be ‘granted access’ to hostages in Gaza after dire videos

[IsraelTimes] Following a demand issued by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to a Red Cross official earlier today, the ICRC says that hostages being held in Gaza “must urgently receive the medical care and attention they require” and reiterates its called to be allowed access.

In a statement, the ICRC says that it is “appalled by the harrowing videos published over the last few days of Israeli hostages held in captivity in Gaza,” referencing propaganda clips released by Hamas showing emaciated hostages Rom Braslavski and Evyatar David.

“These videos are stark evidence of the life-threatening conditions in which the hostages are being held,” the statement adds. “We know families watching these videos are horrified and heartbroken by the conditions they see their loved ones held in.”

The hostages must be “afforded humane treatment and acceptable conditions. They must urgently receive the medical care and attention they require,” the ICRC adds.

“As long as hostages remain in captivity, we stand ready to fulfill our role as a neutral humanitarian intermediary, and to facilitate the release of all the hostages at any stage,” it adds.

“We also reiterate our call to be granted access to the hostages, so we can assess their condition, give them medical support and facilitate contact with their families,” the ICRC says.

The Red Cross has not been allowed any access to the hostages during 22 months of war, and has faced heavy criticism from Israel and Jewish groups over its failure to do so. The organization, which says it must maintain neutrality to operate in war zones, facilitated the release of Israeli and other foreign hostages in November 2023 and again in January-February 2025.

Most of latest suicides among IDF troops due to war-related trauma, army probe said to find
[IsraelTimes] Most recent suicides among IDF soldiers stemmed from war-related trauma, including prolonged exposure to combat zones, witnessing horrific scenes, and the loss of friends, according to findings from internal military probes published by Kan news.

“Most of the suicides resulted from the complex reality created by the war. War has consequences,” a senior military official tells Kan.

In response, the military says it is drawing systemic conclusions, improving commander training, and enhancing distress signal detection. Additionally, the number of mental health officers has been increased by 200 for active-duty soldiers and by 600 for reservists.

At least 17 soldiers have died by suicide so far in 2025, according to figures published by Haaretz. Officials reportedly fear the phenomenon could grow if the psychological toll is not adequately addressed.

[IsraelTimes] Iris Haim, the mother of slain hostageYotam Haim, suggests that Israel should surrender to Hamas in order to free the remaining hostages in Gaza.

“We surrendered to Hamas for 20 years, we gave more and more and more, and now we need to free those who still can be [freed],” Haim writes in a post on Facebook, following the recent release of propaganda videos showing two Israeli hostages, Rom Braslavski and Evyatar David, nearing starvation.

“For me and for my family, it’s too late, Yotam won’t return,” Haim writes of her son, who was taken hostage on October 7 and managed to flee his captors but was accidentally shot dead by Israeli troops in Gaza on December 15, 2023, alongside two other Israeli hostages.

“Surrender? I’m prepared to surrender, in exchange for the hostages, in exchange for the last honor that remains in the face of the families like mine who still have hope,” Haim writes.

She adds that “if the army is strong enough, there will be companies, platoons and divisions who will protect the residents of the Gaza envelope — that’s the mission. Not at the expense of the survivors of starvation and abuse who still have breath in their lungs.”

Starvation this ain’t, the latest deliveries: 23,000 by truck, 136 tons airdropped

23,000 tons of aid entered Gaza via truck over past week, says COGAT

[IsraelTimes] COGAT, the Israeli agency which coordinates activity in the West Bank and Gaza, says that 23,000 tons of humanitarian aid on 1,200 trucks entered Gaza over the past week, and that 1,200 trucks were “successfully collected by the UN and international organizations.”

Nevertheless, it adds, “hundreds of trucks remain inside Gaza, waiting to be picked up and distributed by the UN and international organizations.”

This aid is separate from the “hundreds of pallets of humanitarian supplies” that have been airdropped into Gaza recently, it adds.

Aid agencies have blamed Israel for cutting off aid and restricting movement, causing near-famine conditions in the Strip. Israel has pointed to supplies piling up inside Gaza and blamed agencies for not distributing it, as international pressure over hunger in Gaza has ratcheted up.

Last week Israel announced 10-hour humanitarian pauses in fighting in populated areas and increased movement of aid.

IDF: 136 packages of food airdropped into Gaza by UAE, Jordan, Egypt, France, Germany, Belgium

[IsraelTimes] The IDF says 136 packages of food aid were airdropped into northern and southern Gaza as part of coordinated efforts by six countries.

The military says that the UAE, Jordan, Egypt, France, Germany and Belgium coordinated with Israel on providing and delivering the aid.

Belgium’s defense ministry confirms that it took part in today’s aid airdrops for the first time, in cooperation with Jordan.

Each aid package contains approximately one ton of food.

#1  Israel is really doing a lousy job of genocide, allowing all this aid into Gaza. It's almost as if they AREN'T committing genocide.

Hamas says it’s open to Red Cross request ‘to bring food and medicine’ to hostages if Israel opens aid corridors
[IsraelTimes] The military wing of Hamas says it is “ready to positively engage and respond to any request by the Red Cross to bring food and medicine” to the hostages it is holding, which the terror group refers to as “enemy prisoners,” if Israel opens up humanitarian aid corridors.

The Red Cross has not been allowed any access to the hostages during 22 months of war, and has faced heavy criticism from Israel over its failure to do so.

Earlier, the Red Cross, following a demand issued by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, said that the hostages “must urgently receive the medical care and attention they require.”

The spokesman for Hamas’s military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, says the terror group is conditioning the Red Cross’s access to the hostages “on the opening of humanitarian corridors in a normal and permanent manner for the passage of food and medicine to all our people in all areas of the Gaza Strip, and the cessation of all forms of enemy aerial activity during the times of parcel deliveries to the prisoners.”

“The Al-Qassam Brigades do not deliberately starve the prisoners, but they eat what our mujahideen (fighters) and the general public eat, and they will not receive any special privilege amid the crime of starvation and siege,” claims spokesman Hudhaifa Kahlout, known by the nom de guerre Abu Obeida.

Last week, Israel announced 10-hour humanitarian pauses in populated areas of the Strip and greatly boosted aid entering Gaza. It is not immediately clear if the terms set out by Hamas are feasible for Israel.

#1  ...I have wondered for a while now what would happen if Israel quietly passed along this offer: Within 24 hours, we get proof of life of every hostage, and you get a 72 hour cease fire. Fail to do so and we reveal it, and there will be no more offers.

Only war, to the end.

Trump: Don’t think Gaza war is a genocide, ‘some horrible things happened’ on Oct. 7
[IsraelTimes] US President Donald Trump says he doesn’t think the war in Gaza is a genocide, asserting that “some horrible things happened” during the Hamas-led onslaught that triggered the war on October 7, 2023.

Trump is asked by reporters whether he characterizes Israel’s response as a genocide.

“I don’t think it’s that,” he responds.

“They’re in a war,” Trump adds, before shifting to the October 7 atrocities.

Asked for an update on Gaza more broadly, Trump reiterates that the US is working to feed Palestinians in the Strip.

“We want the people fed… We want Israel to get them fed,” he says. “We don’t want people going hungry, and we don’t want people to starve.”

PM said seeking ‘decisive military victory’ in Gaza, putting hostage families on edge
[IsraelTimes] Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is "pushing for the release the hostages through decisive military victory," according to a diplomatic source quoted Sunday by Hebrew media,

The source’s comments came as captives’ relatives slammed reported plans to expand the fighting in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip and slammed Netanyahu for indicating, in a video statement on harrowing footage of two hostages, that there was no ceasefire-hostage deal in sight.

In comments carried by several outlets, the unnamed source said "an understanding is forming that Hamas
..a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
is not interested in a deal."

Therefore, the source said, "the prime minister is pushing for the release of hostages through decisive military victory, combined with the entry of humanitarian aid to areas outside the combat zone, and, as much as possible, outside of Hamas control." The source did not elaborate on how such a plan would work.

The source was said to have added that "Israel is in contact with the Americans," whose special envoy Steve Witkoff said Saturday that Washington was aiming to end the Gaza war rather than expand it, and that the US was no longer interested in partial hostage deals.

According to Channel 12 news, due to the US pivot away from deals that would temporarily pause the fighting in exchange for only some of the hostages, Israel is set to decide this week if it will expand the fighting — even at the risk of harming hostages — or allow more time for a potential deal.

The network reported that Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz are undecided on the matter, while the rest of the security cabinet is divided.

Strategic Affairs Minister Ron Dermer, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, Military Secretary Maj. Gen. Roman Gofman, and Cabinet Secretary Yossi Fuchs were said to be in favor of expanding the war.

On the other hand, IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, Shas leader Aryeh Deri, National Security Adviser Tzachi Hanegbi and Mosssd
...sees all, knows all, gets 'em all in the end...
chief David Barnea reportedly oppose expanding the fighting, as do the Shin Bet’s negotiator, who is known by the Hebrew initial "Mem," and Maj. Gen. (res.) Nitzan Alon, who is overseeing the hostage file for the military.

In a video statement Sunday evening, Netanyahu said propaganda footage of hostages Evyatar David and Rom Braslavski — clips from which the hostages’ families approved for publication the past two days — showed Hamas was uninterested in a hostage deal.

The footage, published respectively by Hamas and Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah...
last week, show the hostages to be pale and skeletal. David could be seen in an underground tunnel digging what he said he feared was his grave.

Netanyahu said the videos strengthened his resolve to vanquish the terror group.

"I understand exactly what Hamas wants," he said in a video released by his office. "It doesn’t want a deal. It wants to break us — with these horrifying videos, with the false horror propaganda it spreads across the world."

The premier said he was "shocked" by "the horrifying videos" and spoke with the hostages’ families.

Apparently referring to the hand of a captor that can be seen in the video of David, Netanyahu said that as the hostages "waste away in a dungeon... the Hamas monsters surrounding them — they have thick, fleshy arms. They have everything they need to eat. They are starving them the way the Nazis starved the Jews."

"But we will not break," Netanyahu said, adding: "I am filled with even greater determination to free our captive sons, to eliminate Hamas, and to ensure that Gaza will never again pose a threat to Israel."

Palestinian Public Opinion Poll
FWIW, half of all Palestinians still support Hamas' Oct 7 slaughter, but Gazans are becoming less certain, for some reason.
From Policy and Survey Research, a nonprofit institution in the Palestinian Ministry of Justice (Palestinian Authority).
Favorability of the October 7 attack, the belief that Hamas will win the war, and support for Hamas continue to decline, but the overwhelming majority is opposed to Hamas disarmament and does not believe that release of the hostages will bring an end to the war. Nonetheless, about half of Gazans support the anti-Hamas demonstrations and almost half want to leave the Gaza Strip if they could. Support for the two-state solution remains unchanged but support for armed struggle drops

Hamas leader: Nations are recognizing Palestinian state due to ‘fruits of October 7’
Yet another tubby Hamas big turban — photo at the link….
[IsraelTimes] Ghazi Hamad, a senior member of the Hamas politburo, told Al Jazeera over the weekend that the wave of Western nations moving to recognize a Palestinian state is the result of “the fruits” of Hamas’ October 7, 2023, massacre.

In a clip of his interview with the outlet yesterday, Hamad asked the interviewer: “Why are all the countries recognizing a Palestinian state today? Before October 7, did any country dare recognize a Palestinian state?”

He continues: “The fruits of October 7 are what caused the entire world to open its eyes to the Palestinian issue — and they are moving toward it with force. That is, that the Palestinian people are a people who deserve a country.”

Dozens of countries had recognized Palestinian statehood prior to the October 7 attack, though in recent weeks, many more have taken steps in that direction, including a number of major Israeli allies, citing the need to bring an end to the war in Gaza.

Responding to Hamad’s remarks, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar — who has argued that unilateral recognition at this time “rewards terror” — called out France, the United Kingdom, and Canada for announcing plans to recognize a Palestinian state in September, asking rhetorically in a post on X: “If this [is] who applauds you — what does it say about you?”

Iran moves to slash zeros from its plunging national currency
[IsraelTimes] The economic commission of Iran’s parliament revives long-delayed plans to cut four zeros from the country’s plunging currency, as part of efforts to simplify financial transactions.

“Today’s meeting of the economic commission approved the name ‘rial’ as the national currency, as well as the removal of four zeros,” says the parliament’s website ICANA, quoting Shamseddin Hosseini, the commission’s chairman.

Under the proposed system, one rial would be equivalent to 10,000 at the current value and subdivided into 100 gherans, according to ICANA.

The proposed redenomination was first mooted in 2019 but then shelved. The current bill will have to pass a parliamentary vote and gain the approval of the Guardian Council, a body empowered to vet legislation.

It is not immediately clear when the parliamentary vote will take place.

Syrian army, Kurdish-led SDF exchange blame over northern Syria attack
Responding to this story from yesterday.
[Rudaw] Syria’s defense ministry and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) early Sunday traded blame for an attack in northern Syria’s Manbij city, amid a stalled integration deal between Damascus and the northeast Syria (Rojava) administration.

The defense ministry said that the army "is carrying out precise strikes targeting the sources of the fire used by the SDF forces in bombing" military and civilian positions near Manbij, which injured four soldiers and three civilians, according to a statement published by the state-run SANA news agency.

But the US-backed SDF rejected the accusations, accusing Damascus-affiliated forces of "continuing to provoke and launching repeated attacks on contact lines in the Deir Hafer area," and saying that their retaliation was carried out in self-defense.

"On the evening of Saturday, these factions indiscriminately shelled populated areas with more than ten artillery rounds, without justification. Our forces exercised their full right to self-defense and responded to the sources of fire," the SDF said in a statement.

The Kurdish-led force further called on Damascus to adhere to a ceasefire between the sides.

The attack risks derailing a landmark integration deal signed in March between Syria’s interim President Ahmed al-Sharaa and SDF chief Mazloum Abdi.

The deal seeks to integrate the SDF into the Syrian state apparatus, recognizes the Kurds as an integral part of Syria, includes a countrywide ceasefire, and stipulates the return of displaced Syrians to their hometowns.

Differences over the methods of implementation have stalled the deal, with the SDF insisting on integrating as a unit while Damascus wants individual integrations.
