Feds' California Home Depot raid nabs 11 illegal migrants, one with 67 prior jail bookings
[FoxNews] Despite pushback from Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, officials to federal immigration enforcement, Border Patrol in Sacramento arrested 11 illegal migrants colonists during a tense raid at a Home Depot parking lot on Thursday — including one man with 67 prior jail bookings in California since 1986 and a prior fentanyl trafficking conviction.

Fox News was on scene as the migrants colonists scattered in all directions when federal agents moved in to make arrests in the sanctuary city.

That triggered multiple foot chases and several physical encounters between masked agents and fleeing migrants colonists.

In one foot pursuit, agents chased a man who they say slashed the tire of a law enforcement vehicle. The man claimed to be a U.S. citizen.

Agents eventually maced the man in the face before arresting him and taking him into custody. His wife shouted at agents throughout the incident, insisting he is a U.S. citizen.

Border Patrol agents were forced to drive the damaged vehicle away on its rims.

Gregory Bovino, U.S. Border Patrol chief for the El Centro Sector, said his agency will continue prioritizing the removal of criminal illegal immigrants colonists.

"There is no sanctuary city, Sacramento is not a sanctuary city, the state of California is not a sanctuary state, there is no sanctuary anywhere," Bovino said. "We’ll be here, you’ll probably see us in many other locations as well. We’re here to stay, we’re not going anywhere. We’re going to effect this mission and secure the homeland."

The migrant with 67 prior jail bookings is Mexican national Javier Dimas-Alcantara, who is an aggravated felon with convictions and charges spanning decades.

His criminal history includes multiple instances of transporting and selling narcotics or controlled substances, felony burglary, possession of a controlled narcotic with intent to sell, carrying a loaded firearm in public and multiple felony-level marijuana possession charges for sale.

He's also been arrested for illegal entry, revocation of probation due to reoffending, multiple instances of providing false identification to law enforcement, multiple cases of narcotic possession and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Suicide Bombing in Somalia Targets Ugandan Troops
[Garowe] Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF) troops bore the brunt of al-Shabaab
... Somalia's version of the Taliban, functioning as an arm of al-Qaeda...
's reckless targets within Somalia yet again, following the latest suicide kaboom within the Horn of Africa nation, instigated by the bully boys.

According to reports, the Lions of Islam targeted Sabid and Anole with the bomber managing to detonate a vehicle that struck a convoy of UPDF soldiers serving in the African Union
...a union consisting of 53 African states, most run by dictators of one flavor or another. The only all-African state not in the AU is Morocco. Established in 2002, the AU is the successor to the Organisation of African Unity (OAU), which was even less successful...
Support and Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) within Lower Shabelle.

The Lions of Islam grabbed credit for the attack via affiliated media outlets, adding that 20 Ugandan soldiers were killed, with over 43 others injured. There was no independent information to verify the claims by the al-Qaeda-affiliated bully boys.

The group also claimed that nine Somali soldiers were killed and eight maimed, with at least three armored vehicles destroyed in the blast. In most cases, the group amplifies propaganda to support its cause, a strategy it uses so frequently.

According to the krazed killer-affiliated media, the bombing was carried out by a jacket wallah driving a vehicle laden with explosives, targeting the joint convoy. But there is no communication either from the Somali National Army or the AUSSOM concerning the alleged attack.

Last month, a similar incident targeted Ugandan troops near Sabid and Anole, killing many peacekeepers. There is a heavy presence of Uganda People's Defence Forces soldiers stationed within Lower Shabelle.

Ugandan military officials later confirmed that incident as the deadliest attack on their peacekeepers in Somalia in the past two years. Almost 3,000 Ugandan peacekeepers are serving in AUSSOM, with the number reducing following a drawdown.

Jubaland Forces Launch Operations in Lower Juba to Counter Al-Shabaab Land Mines
[ShabelleMedia] Jubaland’s Darwish forces have carried out large-scale security operations in parts of the Lower Juba region aimed at disrupting al-Shabaab
... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
activity and preventing the murderous Moslem group from planting land mines along key roadways, officials said.

The operations targeted areas believed to be under the influence of al-Shabaab, a group waging an insurgency against Somalia’s federal government and its regional states. Military officials say the campaign is part of a broader effort to restore safe passage for civilians and commercial traffic in the region.

The initiative follows a deadly incident in which a civilian vehicle struck a roadside kaboom near Buula Xaaji, killing four people, including two sisters. The attack sparked renewed fears among local residents who frequently use the region’s critical road networks.

Security officials said the recent operations led to the killing of several al-Shabaab members, including local commanders believed to be behind the region’s ongoing security threats. Forces also dismantled checkpoints previously operated by the group, which had been used to extort civilians and inspect vehicles.

In recent months, Jubaland forces have intensified their offensive against al-Shabaab, reclaiming several strategic areas and disrupting the group’s ability to lay improvised bombs (IEDs) on public roads.

Authorities warn, however, that al-Shabaab has increasingly doubled down on mining roads to hinder military and civilian movement.

"The threat posed by these roadside kabooms is growing, and we’re determined to stop hard boyz from planting them and endangering innocent lives," a Jubaland military spokesperson said.

Civilians have borne the brunt of the violence, with multiple incidents in recent months involving IEDs striking passenger vehicles across various regions of Somalia.

Officials have called for continued vigilance and stronger cooperation between communities and security forces to root out the threat.

Ethiopia Arrests 82 Suspected ISIS Militants in Major Anti-Terror Operation
[Garowe] At least 82 suspected ISIS militants have been arrested in Ethiopia, the National Intelligence and Security Service (NISS) announced, Wednesday, following a crackdown initiated in different parts of the country, in a bid to bolster counterterrorism efforts.

The militants are said to have crossed over from Somalia following an operation which was initiated in December 2024 and which has spread across the Cal-Miskaad mountains — the former strongholds of the group, which had started spreading wings in Somalia.

The suspects were arrested in Addis Ababa, Amhara, Harari, Central Ethiopia, and the Somali region as part of a “coordinated operation” conducted with federal police and regional security forces, NISS said.

Cities and towns targeted in the sweep include Adama, Shashemene, Haromaya, Jimma, Sheger, Bale, Jigjiga, and Harar, among others. The militants are said to have run away from Somalia after Puntland initiated Operation Lightning.

“EXTENSIVE SURVEILLANCE OPERATION”
According to the NISS statement, the arrests followed “an extended surveillance and intelligence operation” that uncovered efforts by ISIS’s Puntland branch to “expand its terror network into Ethiopia and establish sleeper cells.”

“The suspects were attempting to set up logistical and operational cells to coordinate terror attacks, disseminate extremist propaganda, and provide material support to ISIS’s global network,” the agency said.

Some of those arrested had received training in Puntland and were allegedly tasked with radicalizing vulnerable groups and infiltrating Ethiopian religious institutions to serve as platforms for recruitment and indoctrination.

“Some of the detainees had direct links to ISIS’s international media and financial arms and were actively involved in financing and logistical facilitation,” NISS said, adding that efforts to dismantle the broader network remain ongoing.

In April, Field Marshall Birhanu Jula, the head of the Ethiopian National Defense Forces (ENDF), hinted that there were Ethiopian “traitors” collaborating with terrorist organizations, “enemies of Ethiopia,” including ISIS and al-Shabaab. However, the Army Chief was reserved from providing further details.

The announcement coincided with the designation by the U.S.-led Terrorist Financing Targeting Center (TFTC) of three ISIS facilitators operating in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Somalia, and South Africa, Addis Standard reports.

“Today’s joint action underscores our shared commitment to disrupting the ability of ISIS and other terrorist groups to access the international financial system wherever they seek to operate,” said Bradley T. Smith, Acting Under Secretary of the U.S. Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence.

ISIS militants in Somalia have been significantly degraded after the operation, and most of them are fleeing Puntland, security officials in Garowe had said. Foreign documents were recovered in Cal-Miskaad during the initial phases of the operation.

In February, President Donald Trump announced a US Africa Command precision strike targeting ISIS terrorists, noting that a senior official was killed. Since then, the US, in collaboration with the Puntland regional forces, has carried out multiple airstrikes in the Bari region.

In June this year, Puntland’s regional government admitted the presence of an ISIS operative in the region. Puntland President Said Abdullahi Deni has claimed that ISIS-linked militants sought to transform the Cal-Miskaad Mountain range in northeastern Somalia into a global coordination center for terrorism, but said the plot was thwarted by Puntland’s security forces.

Zagazola Makama report that the recovery followed a distress report received by the hunters from farmers who sighted armed turbans moving cattle through the bush near the Ruga settlement.

One of the hunters said that the team immediately mobilised and intercepted the holy warriors on July 16.

He said ''On sighting the turbans with the rustled cattle, we engaged them in a fierce shootout. While they fled with some of the cows, we were able to recover 10 at the scene,'' he said.

The recovered cows were taken for safekeeping, while efforts are ongoing to trace the fleeing turbans and recover the remaining livestock.

Police say the recovered cows will be handed over to the Borno State Livestock Management Agency (BORLMA) committee upon conclusion of the investigation.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Four airport rioters convicted in Dagestan
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The court sentenced the defendants in the case of the pogrom at the Makhachkala airport to terms of 11 to 11 years and 6 months in prison. Among those convicted is the only woman among all the defendants, Patimat Sharudinova.

As the "Caucasian Knot" wrote, the first hearing in the Stavropol Regional Court on the case against four natives of Dagestan took place on December 3, 2024.

Today, the Stavropol Regional Court announced the verdict for four more residents of Dagestan in the case of the pogrom at the Makhachkala airport. Devletkhan Ramazanov, Gadzhi Imanmurzaev, Asker Budaykhanov and Patimat Sharudinova were found guilty of organizing mass riots and violating transport security. They received sentences ranging from 11 to 11.5 years, the Stavropol Regional Prosecutor's Office reported on its Telegram channel.

According to the investigation, on October 29, 2023, all four came to the Makhachkala airport, where riots were taking place "based on national and religious hatred and hostility towards Israeli citizens" due to the arrival of a flight from Tel Aviv. There they "refused to comply with the lawful demands of law enforcement officers, took part in mass riots accompanied by violence and destruction of property," but their specific actions are not named.

A RIA Novosti source in law enforcement agencies reported that Sharudinova is the only woman involved in the cases of unrest at Uytash airport.

This trial can be called the most important, since in the dock there are natives of Dagestan, who are accused not just of participating, but of organizing the riots, the chairman of the Dagestan POC Shamil Khadulaev said earlier. "It seems that they want to make these people the main culprits, although many questions arise in general about this case. One of such episodes is the accusation against Gadzhi Imanmurzaev. There is a video in which you can hear him calling on people to calm down, trying to stop what is happening. But the investigation believes that he is the organizer and did not want to stop, but, on the contrary, provoked the riots," Khadulaev told the "Caucasian Knot".

"(Sharudinova) waved a flag and did nothing else. Putting her in jail for these actions is a very big mistake. Especially since she is a woman, disabled and the mother of a minor child," said former member of the Public Chamber of Dagestan Arsen Magomedov.

, which had begun a few weeks earlier when the terror group launched the October 7 massacre.

Investigators said they completed probes into the participation of 139 in the events.

Three additional people, whom they say had organized the riots via posts on a Telegram channel, were put on Russia’s wanted list.

The 135 convicted people were given prison terms ranging from six and a half to 15 years for participating in mass riots and other crimes. Investigators did not name the people or say how they pleaded.

In January, four members of the mob were sentenced to a decade in a penal colony. In August, five rioters were sentenced to jail terms ranging from six to nine years.

Video footage at the time showed the protesters, mostly young men, waving Paleostinian flags, breaking down glass doors and running through the airport shouting "Allahu Akbar" (God is great).

More than 20 people were maimed before security forces could contain the unrest. No passengers on the plane were hurt.

Pilot with 'ideological motive' steals small aircraft and disrupts major international airport operations
[FoxNews] Police apprehended 39-year-old Shaheer Cassim after he safely landed the aircraft following tense air traffic suspension

A stolen plane triggered a major security incident at Vancouver International Airport (YVR) on Tuesday afternoon, temporarily halting operations and forcing multiple flights to reroute.

Just before 1:30 p.m. local time on July 15, a "security incident" involving a small private plane led to a temporary halt in airport operations, according to a statement from YVR. The plane, flying within YVR’s airspace, forced nine incoming flights to reroute to different airports.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., following a 39-minute air traffic suspension, the Cessna 172, operated by a single individual, safely landed. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) then apprehended the pilot.

In an air traffic control recording obtained by the Vancouver Sun via LiveATC.net, a controller alerted other pilots: "We do have an aircraft that has been hijacked and is in the vicinity of the airport ... just in case anything starts heading toward [you], you have the ability to move at your discretion."

"They are currently flying overhead," a voice from air traffic control can be heard saying. "At this time, I have no further updates. We have the aircraft in visual range—please stand by for further instructions."

Later, air traffic controllers instructed grounded aircraft to remain on standby during the ongoing situation:

"We’re not certain what will happen next. The aircraft continues to circle above, and its intentions remain unknown. For now, we are holding position."

RCMP later confirmed that the aircraft had been taken from Victoria International Airport and had flown around 40 miles into Vancouver’s airspace.

A spokesperson for Vancouver Airport Authority said in a statement to Fox News Digital that the issue involving a plane from the Victoria Flying Club had been resolved without injury.

"Safety and security are our top priorities, and we continually review our processes and procedures in service of our operation, our passengers, and our airline customers," the statement read. "Following any significant situation or emergency operations activation and as part of our standard procedures, we debrief on what took place and make recommendations for changes or improvements where necessary."

One eyewitness, speaking to CBC, described seeing the low-flying aircraft and suspected something was wrong.

"A few minutes later, the plane made a second pass, circling in a wide clockwise turn," eyewitness Paul Heeny told CBC.

On July 16, RCMP revealed the identity of the pilot as 39-year-old Shaheer Cassim, who now faces a hijacking charge. Authorities allege he threatened a flight instructor at YYJ before taking control of the aircraft.

RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Tammy Lobb said in a press release that the suspect appeared to have an "ideological motive" aimed at disrupting air traffic. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Police noted that the investigation is still in its early stages and remains active.

Suspect charged with hijacking in YVR incident used to be a pilot

[GlobalNews] The suspect charged with hijacking in connection with an incident at Vancouver International Airport on Tuesday was a pilot more than a decade ago.

Shaheer Cassim, 39, has been charged with hijacking after being accused of stealing a small plane from the Victoria Flying Club, flying it over the Salish Sea and eventually landing it at YVR.

Cassim made a brief court appearance on Wednesday afternoon and remains in custody.

A Facebook page of someone with the same name and image describes himself as a “messenger of Allah.”

“I am the messiah sent to save humanity from climate change and usher in an era of world peace.”

This person also writes about climate change, saying the sea ice is going to disappear within two years and humans will eventually go extinct.

The Facebook profile says he was employed from 2008 to 2010 by now-defunct KD Air, a small airline based on Vancouver Island.

The airline’s former owners, Diana and Lars Banke, said in an interview that Cassim was one of the smartest and best pilots they ever worked with, calling him a fast learner who was highly intelligent.

But Lars Banke said Cassim left the airline after getting “bored” and then went to medical school. He also said Cassim believed the world was coming to an end.

Cassim has been involved in climate activism in the past and in 2012 he held a news conference in Victoria at the start of a cross-country bicycle trek to raise awareness about global warming.

Under the Criminal Code of Canada, a charge of hijacking could mean a sentence of life in prison. The Prosecution Service of Canada has also indicated this charge could come with terrorism implications.

An order has been made to determine if Cassim is fit to stand trial.

[Rudaw] Two bomb-laden drones crashed in northern and southwestern Erbil on Thursday morning, causing no casualties or material damage, according to the Kurdistan Region’s counterterrorism forces.

In a statement posted to Facebook, the Erbil-based Directorate General of Counter Terrorism (CTD), also known as Kurdistan CT, reported that "at 10:50 am [local time], a bomb-laden drone crashed" near the village of Surezha in Shamamk subdistrict southwest of Erbil. The statement confirmed that "no human casualties or material damage" were caused.

The CTD reported a similar incident earlier the same day in Erbil’s northern Bahrka subdistrict near Jizhnikani village.

These incidents follow a string of dronezaps that have targeted key oil and energy infrastructure across the Kurdistan Region since Monday.

On Wednesday, the CTD reported drone attacks on two different oil fields in the northern Duhok province on Wednesday.

"Between 6:00 and 6:15 am, the DNO oil field in Peshkhabur...was targeted by two explosive-laden drones," the Kurdish counterterrorism forces said, adding that "a third drone targeted the DNO oil field in Tawke at 7:00 am," causing material damage but no injuries.

Norwegian energy company DNO confirmed in a statement that operations at both fields have been "temporarily suspended" due to the attacks.

Gulf Keystone Petroleum (GKP), which operates the Sheikhan oil field in southern Duhok, also announced it had temporarily shut down operations on Wednesday as a precautionary measure.

A day earlier, a drone attack targeted the Sarsang oil field northwest of Duhok city, operated by the US-based HKN Energy, also prompting a suspension of operations at the facility "until it is secured and a full evaluation is completed."

In a Wednesday statement on X, Aziz Ahmad, Deputy Chief of Staff to Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, said the Region has lost nearly 200,000 barrels of oil production due to a "spate of drone attacks by criminal militias on the Iraqi government payroll."

He added that five oil fields, including two operated by US companies, have been targeted so far.

The Kurdistan Region’s Presidency, cabinet and natural resources ministry strongly condemned the drone attacks, describing them as attempts to cripple the Region’s vital oil infrastructure. They called on Iraq’s federal government in Baghdad to take urgent action to prevent further attacks and hold those responsible accountable.

Responding to a question from Rudaw during a Wednesday press briefing, US State Department spokesperson Tammy Bruce censured "these kinds of attacks" as "unacceptable, adding, "We've expressed our dismay and our problem with them."

Iraq’s presidency, premiership, and parliament also condemned the attacks on Tuesday.

Drone strikes in the Kurdistan Region have increased since the outbreak of a 12-day conflict between Israel and Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. that began on June 13 and ended with a US-brokered ceasefire.

While no group has grabbed credit for the latest attacks, the Kurdistan Region’s interior ministry in early July accused the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) of involvement - a charge dismissed by Baghdad as "unacceptable."d

Iraq launches security operation after drone attacks

[Rudaw] Iraqi security forces on Friday announced an operation in western Nineveh and Salahaddin provinces to track down those responsible for a spate of drone attacks on oil, military, and civilian sites in the Kurdistan Region.

“The recent attacks on oil installations and fields, along with attempts to target military bases and camps, are considered sinful and dangerous acts that undermine all efforts toward Iraq’s stability, reconstruction, and development campaigns,” the military’s Security Media Cell said in a post on X.

“Security forces have launched a wide-scale search operation” in response to these attacks, it added.

The operation spans the Hatra desert, targeting warehouses, valleys, and caves.

“This operation comes in response to critical intelligence aimed at thwarting intentions and attempts to target security units and vital infrastructure in the country,” it said.

In the month of July, there have been at least 18 drone attacks in the Kurdistan Region, including on oil fields, Peshmerga bases, a camp for internally displaced persons, and critical infrastructure like airports.

The Iraqi operation is being carried out with the coordination of several forces, including the Joint Operations Command, counter-terrorism, and the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has blamed the attacks on the PMF, a charge Baghdad has denied.

Stuff happens in the West Bank
Army says homes of 3 Palestinian attackers in West Bank razed
[IsraelTimes] Overnight, the IDF says it demolished the homes of three Palestinian terrorists who carried out deadly shooting attacks.

The homes in the West Bank town of Qabatiya belonged to Muhammad Zakarna, Mohammed Nazal, and Wael Lahlouh.

Zakarna and Nazal carried out a deadly terror shooting attack in the West Bank village of al-Funduq in January, along with a third gunman, Qutaiba al-Shalabi.

The attack on January 6 killed off-duty police officer Master Sgt. Elad Yaakov Winkelstein and civilians Rachel Cohen and Aliza Raiz. All three terrorists, who according to the IDF were affiliated with Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and the Islamic State jihadist movement, were later killed by Israeli forces.

Lahlouh, a member of Hamas, carried out a deadly shooting attack in the Jordan Valley on August 11, 2024, killing civilian Yonatan Deutsch and wounding another man. Lahlouh was also later killed in a drone strike in Jenin.

Suspected Palestinian arms dealer killed during attempted arrest in West Bank — police
[IsraelTimes] Undercover Border Police officers killed a wanted Palestinian during an overnight raid in the West Bank, a police spokesperson says.

Police say the officers had sought to arrest the Palestinian, who was suspected of terror activity and weapons dealing in the village of Wadi al-Far’a near Tubas.

“The undercover force covertly approached the wanted man, who tried to escape from the troops, who in response fired shots at his lower body and then arrested him,” the spokesperson says.

The wanted man was later declared dead by medical officials who were treating him, according to police.

Police say the officers found a hunting rifle and other military equipment at the building where the suspect had been.

In a separate overnight raid, police say undercover officers detained a terror suspect in Jericho and took him to the Shin Bet for questioning.

Army excavator thought stolen from Gaza border found in West Bank town — police
[IsraelTimes] An army excavator suspected of having been stolen from mustering grounds on the Gaza border was found in the Palestinian West Bank City of Huwara yesterday, police say.

The piece of heavy machinery was spotted by Border Police officers returning to their base after take part in operations along the Syria border, who stopped to investigate and found it had seemingly been taken from southern Israel, a police statement says.

A resident of Huwara in his 50s was arrested as a suspect.

There is no comments from the Israel Defense Forces, which has struggled for years to crack down on theft of military equipment, though usually of more diminutive items.

The border cops had been one of several units scrambled to the Golan Heights yesterday to deal with chaos as Druze spurred by fighting in southern Syria tore through the border fence, with some entering Syria, and others crossing from Syria into Israel.

More deaths reported near aid sites; Mossad chief, Witkoff said to discuss relocating Gazans
[IsraelTimes] Hamas-run agency reports 10 killed, IDF says unaware of any fatal incidents; Barnea reportedly tells Trump envoy Ethiopia, Indonesia, and Libya could take in Gazans if incentified

The Hamas
..a regional Iranian catspaw,...
-run civil defense agency in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
said Israeli fire killed 10 Paleostinians seeking aid on Friday at distribution sites run by the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, as Israel announced the targeting of senior terror operatives in Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
Civil defense front man Mahmud Bassal said that Israeli fire killed nine people "near the US aid center in the al-Shakoush area, northwest of Rafah city in southern Gaza." Media outlets in the Gaza Strip reported that six people were killed in the incident.

In response to an inquiry from The Times of Israel, the IDF said it was unaware of any such incidents having occurred on Friday morning.

Bassal also said there was "one martyr and eight injuries as a result of Israeli gunfire at civilians gathered near an aid distribution point close to the Netzarim corridor, south of Gaza City."

Separately, al-Awda Hospital said it received four people who were maimed by gunfire at another distribution center along the Netzarim corridor in central Gaza.

Gazooks have reported near-daily incidents in which groups trying to reach GHF facilities are shot at by Israeli forces, leading to mass casualties.

Israel, which accuses Hamas of hoarding aid, has also accused the terror group of attacking Gazook aid seekers near GHF sites and falsifying corpse counts. However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
Israel has also acknowledged that "several" Paleostinian civilians have been killed near GHF aid distribution sites.

IDF KILLS HAMAS OFFICIALS
The IDF and Shin Bet said on Friday that the commander of Hamas’ Daraj-Tuffah Battalion, Muhamad Ghaseen, who invaded Israel during the October 7 onslaught, was killed in a strike last week in the area of Gaza City’s eastern Daraj and Tuffah neighborhoods.

The IDF said Ghaseen carried out numerous attacks on troops during the war and that his killing "constitutes a significant blow to the functioning of the battalion he commanded and will diminish the battalion’s ability to carry out terror operations against IDF troops operating in the area."

In a separate announcement, the IDF and Shin Bet said a strike last week killed Barhoum Shaheen, the head of Hamas’s general security apparatus in western Gaza; Hashem Sarsour, head of Hamas’s emergency committee in eastern Gaza; and Faraj al-Aoul, the head of Hamas’s legal bureau and a member of the group’s legislative council.

The military said that Shaheen and Sarsour "were involved in Hamas’s security and governance activities in Gaza against the Gazook population, and assisted murderous Moslems of Hamas’s military wing, while employing methods of repression and violence against the civilians of the Gaza Strip."

The security apparatus, according to the military, is a clandestine Hamas body responsible for uncovering "collaborators" with Israel; security for top Hamas officials and assets in Gaza and outside of the Strip; and oppression of opponents to Hamas’s rule.

The emergency committee is a Hamas body tasked with maintaining public order and civil control in the Strip’s municipalities.

The IDF and Shin Bet also announced that an Israeli airstrike on Sunday killed Raed Khaled Hassan Jabin, a prominent Paleostinian Islamic Jihad
...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. in Israel between 2006 and 2015 for his involvement in Islamic Jihad terror activity, the IDF said.

In footage released Friday of airstrikes carried out in the Gaza Strip throughout the week, the IDF said hundreds of targets were hit by fighter jets, helicopters and drones, including cells of operatives, weapons caches, booby traps, and anti-tank and sniper posts.

Also Friday, a rocket was launched at southern Israel from the northern Gaza Strip. The rocket was intercepted, and there were no reports of injuries or damage.

SPY CHIEF SAID TO SPEAK WITH WITKOFF ABOUT TRANSFERRING GAZANS
Meanwhile,
...back at the revival hall, Buford bit the snake and Eloise began speaking in tongues...
Mosssd
...sees all, knows all, gets 'em all in the end...
spy agency head David Barnea visited Washington this week as part of an Israeli effort to seek the Trump administration’s help in moving Paleostinians out of Gaza, Axios reported, citing two sources with knowledge of the matter.

The two sources said Barnea told US Special Envoy Steve Witkoff that Æthiopia, Indonesia, and Libya have shown willingness to take Paleostinian refugees from Gaza, and that Washington should offer "incentives" to those countries to agree to the relocation.

However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
Witkoff was non-committal on the issue, a source said.

US officials also said that the White House is not keen on transferring Paleostinians out of Gaza amid opposition from Arab countries.

Barnea’s visit came months after US President Donald Trump
...The man who was so stupid he beat fourteen professional politicians, a former tech CEO, and a brain surgeon for the Republican nomination in 2016, then beat The Smartest Woman in the World in the general election. Then he beat Kamala while dodging bullets...
proposed that all of Gaza’s residents be moved indefinitely while the Strip is rebuilt. Arab countries and much of the Western world strongly opposed the idea, while Netanyahu and his coalition enthusiastically supported it.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Israel says it’s allowing Syrian forces to enter Sweida for 48 hours amid renewed clashes; 321 or 500 dead
[IsraelTimes] Violence between Druze and Bedouin has renewed in the southern Syrian province despite Thursday’s announced ceasefire; Israel sending humanitarian aid over the border

Israel said Friday it was allowing Syrian security forces to enter the Sweida Governorate for 48 hours, citing the ongoing unrest in southern Syria.

"In light of the ongoing instability in southwest Syria, Israel has agreed to allow limited entry of the [Syrian] internal security forces into Sweida district for the next 48 hours," an official who declined to be named told news hounds.

Deadly violence has plagued Sweida province since Sunday, as Druze fighters clashed with Sunni Bedouin tribes, who were later joined by government forces. The Syrian Network for Human Rights monitoring group said it had documented 254 dead in four days of fighting, among them medical personnel, women, and children.
If fighting started on Sunday, the fourth day would be Wednesday, right? I went back and checked yesterday’s post, which reported 500.
Israel’s own Druze community demanded that Jerusalem act to protect their brethren across the border, as reports emerged from Sweida of regime forces killing women and boys, looting homes, and shaving Druze holy mans’ mustaches. Videos also showed Druze fighters beating captured government forces and posing by their bodies.

Syrian troops withdrew from Sweida after a truce was announced on Wednesday, but festivities resumed late on Thursday between fighters from Bedouin tribes and the Druze, who are part of a religious minority in Syria that has followers in Leb
...home of the original Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade....
and Israel. The festivities in parts of Sweida province continued into Friday, according to residents of Sweida and Ryan Marouf, the head of local news outlet Sweida24.

Jerusalem has said it would not allow regime military forces south of Damascus following the violence, which could be the reason the Prime Minister’s Office referred to "internal" security in its statement.

Seemingly contradicting the PMO’s comments, Syria’s interior ministry spokesperson said government forces were not preparing to deploy to Sweida, the state news agency reported. Noureddin al-Baba denied an earlier Rooters report citing an interior ministry media officer as saying security forces were preparing to redeploy there to quell the fresh fighting involving Bedouin tribes and the Druze, part of a religious minority in Syria that has followers in Lebanon and Israel.

Earlier on Friday, the Israeli army denied reports on the Syrian state news agency, SANA, that it had conducted additional strikes near Sweida on Thursday night.

Describing Syria’s new rulers as barely disguised jihadists, Israel has vowed to shield the area’s Druze community from attack, prodded by calls from Israel’s own Druze minority.

Its deep distrust of Syria’s new Islamist-led leadership appears to be at odds with the United States, which said it did not support recent Israeli strikes on Syria.

The US intervened to help secure the truce between government forces and Druze fighters.

Syrian leader Ahmed al-Sharaa, who has worked to establish warmer ties with the US, accused Israel of trying to fracture Syria and promised to protect its Druze minority.

Israel said Friday it was sending humanitarian aid to Sweida province.

"In light of the recent attacks targeting the Druze community in Sweida and the severe humanitarian situation in the area, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar has ordered the urgent transfer of humanitarian aid to the Druze population in the region," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The NIS 2 million ($600,000) package includes food parcels and medical supplies, the ministry said, noting it had previously sent humanitarian aid to the Druze in Syria in March.

The head of the UN human rights
One man's rights are another man's existential threat.
office on Friday urged Syria’s interim authorities to ensure accountability and justice for what it said were credible reports of widespread rights violations during the fighting, including summary executions and kidnappings, the office said in a statement.

At least 13 people were unlawfully killed in one recorded incident on July 15 when affiliates of the interim authorities shot up a family gathering, the OHCHR said. Six men were summarily executed near their homes the same day.

The UN refugee agency on Friday urged all sides to allow humanitarian access, which it said had been curtailed by the violence.

In a presser Thursday evening, Israel Defense Forces Spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin acknowledged that the IDF had been unprepared to handle the chaos on the Syrian border in recent days during the Sweida conflict.

Around 1,000 Druze crossed from Israel into Syria, and dozens of Syrian Druze entered Israel, at the time of the fighting — leading several Druze Israeli politicians to themselves enter Syria to call on Israeli Druze to return to Israel.

Defrin said the IDF "were not prepared for thousands of Israeli citizens who reached the border and tried to pass it," adding, "We are learning lessons."

Police said they arrested two Druze Israelis at the Syrian border on Thursday morning, as they tried to reenter Israeli territory with a Kalashnikov rifle. The two young men — ages 18 and 20, from the villages of Kisra and Beit Jann — crossed into Syria on Wednesday.

Police said that they patched up breaches on the Israel-Syria border and are currently working with local Druze leaders to facilitate the return of Israelis who crossed into Syria, and vice versa.

Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa’s interim government has had troubled relations with ethnic and religious minority groups since it came to power in December.

March saw massacres of more than 1,700 mostly Alawite civilians in their hub on the Mediterranean coast, with government-affiliated groups blamed for most of the killings.

Government forces also battled Druze fighters in Sweida province and near Damascus in April and May, leaving more than 100 people dead.

Israel, which is home to around 150,000 Druze, many of whom serve in the IDF, has repeatedly stated its intention to defend Syria’s Druze community.
Overnight, Israel Time, from the Times of Israel:
The Syrian presidency said late on Friday that authorities would deploy a force in the south dedicated to ending the clashes, in coordination with political and security measures to restore stability and prevent the return of violence.

In Israel, meanwhile, a group of Israeli Druze crossed the border into Syria early Saturday morning.

The dozens who entered Syrian territory were part of a larger group of Druze who arrived at the border near the northern Golan Heights town of Majdal Shams, where the Ynet news site reported some of them shoved Israeli troops stationed in the area to prevent mass breaches of the frontier such as those earlier in the week.

IDF troops were working to return the Druze back to Israeli territory, the army told the Kan public broadcaster.

Reuters reporters saw a convoy of units from Syria’s interior ministry stopped on a road in Daraa province, which lies directly east of Sweida. A security source told Reuters that forces were awaiting a final green light to enter Sweida.

But thousands of Bedouin fighters were still streaming into Sweida on Friday, the Reuters reporters said, prompting fears among residents that violence would continue unabated.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights said it had documented 321 deaths in fighting since Sunday,
… a number more than the 254 reported earlier Friday, but less than the 500 reported yesterday…
among them medical personnel, women and children. It said they included field executions by all sides.

Syria’s minister for emergencies said more than 500 wounded had been treated and hundreds of families had been evacuated out of the city.

‘NOTHING AT ALL’
Clashes continued in the north and west of Sweida province, according to residents and Ryan Marouf, the head of local news outlet Sweida24.

Residents said they had little food and water, and that electricity had been cut to the city for several days.
