A Hamas official said Wednesday that Israeli forces were making "aggressive" incursions into Gaza City, after the military approved the framework for a new offensive in the territory.
"The Israeli occupation forces continue to carry out aggressive incursions in Gaza City," Ismail Al-Thawabta, director general of the Hamas government media office in Gaza, told AFP.
"These assaults represent a dangerous escalation aimed at imposing a new reality on the ground by force, through a scorched earth policy and the complete destruction of civilian property."

At least 98 Paleostinians have been killed in Israeli attacks across Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... since dawn, Al Jazeera reported, citing medical sources, adding that Israel intensified strikes on the northern parts of the besieged enclave, killing 61 people in Gaza City alone.
Israeli air strikes on groups trying to secure the distribution of aid north of Gaza City killed at least 12 people on Wednesday.
At least 37 people desperately seeking any food for their families were killed by Israeli fire, including 16 killed near an aid point north of Rafah, according to the Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza and another 14 killed and 113 maimed by Israeli forces waiting for aid in the north, according to the Gaza Emergency and Ambulance Service.
In the last 24-hour reporting period, at least eight people, including three children, died from Israeli-imposed starvation and malnutrition, bringing the total number of hunger-related deaths since the war began in October 2023 to 235, among them 106 children, the Health Ministry said on Wednesday.

[IsraelTimes] Police and Border Police officers last night arrested 42 Gazans who had been illegally residing in Israel, law enforcement officials say.
They were arrested in three separate hideout apartments in Nazareth by Northern District forces, as part of an operation aimed at “preventing illegal residency offenses.”
Officers first came upon an apartment with 28 illegal residents, which led them to two additional apartments–one with 11 residents and another with three. The Gazans were detained and transferred for questioning to the Nazareth police station.
Forces also confiscated a “commercial quantity” of goods whose ownership is unknown, police say, without specifying the nature of the seized property.
