Somalia: U.S.-trained Elite forces launch operations against Al-Shabaab
[Garowe] The U.S.-trained elite Danab Special Forces have launched aggressive operations against the al-Shabaab
... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them...
forces of Evil in southern regions around Leego areas, with the team now targeting to dismantle the group’s hideouts in strategic areas.

Lower Shabelle and Middle Jubba regions have borne the brunt of al-Shabaab raids, leading to the death of thousands of innocent civilians, security personnel, and senior government officials.

However,
you can observe a lot just by watching...
the key target remains securing supply routes connecting Lower Shabelle and the Bay region, which are frequently used by forces of Evil undetected. The group has an interrupted supply of food and other necessities within the area.

The operation, which includes vehicle searches and road checks, aims to disrupt murderous Moslem movements and restore safe access for civilians and humanitarian operations, military officials said.

Al-Shabaab Intensifies Taxation on Businesses in Southern Somalia Amid Territorial Gains
[ShabelleMedia] al-Shabaab
... the personification of Somali state failure...
intensified a campaign of taxation on businesses in southern Somalia, particularly in the area between the towns of Afgoye and Wanlaweyn in the Lower Shabelle region, local sources said Saturday.

According to residents who spoke on condition of anonymity due to security concerns, al-Shabaab is pressuring local traders to pay "zakat". No video or audio evidence, as the volatile security situation has restricted access to the affected areas.

The group has also reportedly tightened its grip on several strategic locations along the Shabelle River, including the towns of Sabiid, Caanoole, Moryaanle, Owdheegle, and Mubarak, as well as surrounding villages.

Attacks by al-Shabaab in the Lower and Middle Shabelle regions have surged in recent months, with security analysts and local officials confirming that the frequency of operations has nearly doubled over the past two months, fueling fear among civilians and business owners.

Security sources and analysts say the stepped-up taxation and renewed assaults reflect a broader effort by the group to reclaim territory lost in recent years during offensives by Somali government forces and allied militias.

Meanwhile,
...back at the barn, Bossy had come up with a new idea, one that didn't involve kerosene...
joint government and local security forces are continuing operations aimed at recapturing areas under al-Shabaab control, amid growing concern over the group’s resurgence in key regions of southern Somalia.

Troops launch manhunt as bandits abduct two farmers in Sokoto - Daily Post Nigeria
[DAILYPOST.NG] Troops of Operation Fansan Yanma have launched a manhunt for suspected bandidos who kidnapped two farmers in Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

According to a post on Friday by counter-insurgency expert Zagazola Makama via X, the victims, Halilu Nuhu of Gidan Bawa village and Mamuda Aliyu of Bagarera village, were kidnapped around noon on Thursday, July 31, while working on their farms.

The armed assailants, numbering about six and riding on three cycle of violences, reportedly stormed the farms and whisked the victims away into a nearby forest.

Following the incident, troops swiftly mobilised to block possible escape routes and are currently combing suspected hideouts, including forested areas stretching toward the border with the Niger Republic.

Security sources said efforts are ongoing to locate and rescue the kidnapped farmers, while the military continues to intensify operations to apprehend the perpetrators.

Troops crush terror cells, nab 578, rescue 134 in July
[GUARDIAN.NG] In an intensified onslaught against insecurity, Nigeria's Armed Forces have recorded decisive victories across multiple theatres of operation in July 2025, neutralising notorious terrorist commanders, arresting hundreds of Death Eaters, rescuing kidnapped victims, and foiling oil theft worth over %u20A61.3 billion.

Presenting a comprehensive press briefing in Abuja on Thursday, Major General Markus Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations, revealed that 578 suspected terrorists, kidnappers, and other criminal elements were arrested across the country, with 134 kidnapped victims rescued.

The month's operations witnessed the surrender of terrorist commander Ibn Ali along with 151 fighters and family members. Among those eliminated were infamous warlords such as Yellow Danbokolo, Amir Dunkei, Kachalla Nagomma, Gurmu and Ali Yar Daribiyar.

''Our forces remain fully engaged in tackling insurgency, banditry, oil theft, and communal violence with discipline, transparency, and integrity,'' Major General Kangye stated. ''We act in full compliance with international humanitarian law and respect for human rights

's West Africa Provincem or ISWAP.

Ali - not his real name - was a commander in ISWAP for almost a decade. Two years ago, he left the group in an amnesty deal offered by the Nigerian government.

But now he says he's ready to take up arms again:

"The government promised us jobs. That was the agreement. I don't have anything: no food, no job. When we go back, we are going to attack, fight a war so we can eat and feed our families."

Ali is from Maiduguri, Borno's capital city in Nigeria's northeast. After a few years of relative calm in the region, there has been a renewed spate of attacks.

At least 12 people were killed and many injured outside of Maiduguri in June when a suspectedjacket wallah'> exploding trollop female suicide bomber
detonated her explosives at a market. All indications point to either Boko Haram or ISWAP as being behind the attack.

While no group grabbed credit for the bombing, there's been a wave of recent Islamist attacks in Nigeria's northeast, particularly in Borno state, including attacks on military outposts and civilians.

/ISWAP sect have been killed by troops of Sector 2, Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK).

The operation against the gunnies was carried out by the troops in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force during a long-range clearance patrol in Borno State.

A counter-security expert, Zagazola Makama in a post on X said the trioops launched an offensive which stretched deep into the Bulabulin forest axis towards Magumeri against the terrorists.

Makama said the attack led to a heavy gun duel between the gunnies and the security operatives around the Borno Yesu general area.

He added that a source privy to the incident confirmed that the air component of OPHK provided close air support and surveillance for the ground troops.

In addition, the air team coordination during the engagement enabled the troops to overrun the terrorists' position.

''At the end of the encounter, three gunnies were neutralised. Troops recovered three AK-47 rifles, four fully loaded magazines, 120 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, grenades, two bandoliers, combat packs, and two brand new cycle of violences.

''The Special Forces Tactical Team continues to dominate the general area while projecting force further to make additional contact, disrupt terrorist logistics, and rob them of freedom of action,'' the source said.

The source also noted that the troops' morale and fighting efficiency remained high as the clearance operations continued.

He said the military has also intensified operations in the Northeast to restore normality and facilitate the safe return of displaced communities.

[NYP] Hamas forced emaciated Israeli hostage Evyatar David to dig his own grave in a sick new propaganda video, as the twisted terror group continued to stall negotiations to release the remaining living captives.

In the nearly 5-minute clip released Friday, the 24-year-old David is seen in a tunnel with a ceiling roughly as high as he is tall, crossing off dates on a calendar and digging a grave.

"I haven’t eaten for a few days in a row," David says in the footage.

Palestinian ‘neutralized’ during suspected terror stabbing attempt at kibbutz
[IsraelTimes] 24-year-old from Tulkarem pulls out knife after blocking car exiting Kibbutz Metzer, is shot by community’s security coordinator and then arrested

A suspected terrorist was "neutralized" on Saturday after an attempted stabbing attack at the entrance of Kibbutz Metzer in northern Israel, the police said in a statement.

According to the statement, a man exited the kibbutz from its front gate with his car, where he noticed the suspect standing in front of him.

Finding the suspect’s appearance suspicious, the man alerted the kibbutz security coordinator and called him to the scene.

The suspect then drew a knife and seemed to be attempting a stabbing attack, causing the security coordinator to shoot and "neutralize" him.

According to the police, the assailant was a 24-year-old man from Tulkarem in the West Bank.

After being shot, he was arrested and taken for joint interrogations with the Shin Bet security service, the police said, without specifying his condition.

Police continued scanning the area for other potential suspects for about two hours before calling off the search.

Kibbutz Metzer is situated near the Green Line, approximately 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) north of Tulkarem.

Paleo Red Crescent says one staffer killed in Israeli attack at Gaza HQ, rocket intercepted, Hamas battalion #2 toes up, 130 targets airstruck
[IsraelTimes] The Palestine Red Crescent Society says one of its staff members was killed and three others wounded in an Israeli strike on its Khan Younis headquarters in Gaza.

“One Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) staff member was killed and three others injured after Israeli forces targeted the Society’s headquarters in Khan Younis, igniting a fire on the building’s first floor,” the aid organization says in a post on X.

IDF says it killed deputy commander of Hamas’s Sheikh Radwan Battalion last week in Gaza
[IsraelTimes] The deputy commander of Hamas’s Sheikh Radwan Battalion, known in the IDF as the al-Furqan Battalion, was killed in an airstrike in the Gaza Strip last week, the military says.

The IDF says the strike on July 24 killed Salah a-Din Zaara, who served as deputy commander of the battalion in Hamas’s Gaza City Brigade, and previously headed the battalion’s combat support company.

Zaara was responsible for directing and advancing numerous attacks against Israel and IDF troops operating in the Strip, the military says.

Meanwhile, over the weekend, the Israeli Air Force struck over 130 terror targets in the Gaza Strip, according to the IDF.

The strikes come as four IDF divisions continue ground operations across Gaza.

IDF declares defeat of Hamas battalion in Beit Hanoun, as operatives shown surrendering
[IsraelTimes] Hamas men seen surrendering to troops in northern Gaza; after deaths reported at Gaza Humanitarian Foundation sites, GHF says ‘nothing’ happened near them

The Israel Defense Forces defeated Hamas
..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
’s Beit Hanoun battalion, the military declared on Saturday, after three of the terror group’s operatives surrendered to troops of the Givati Brigade in the northern Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
town.

The operatives emerged from a tunnel and surrendered to the forces in the area, the IDF said, adding that they told the troops they had sought to flee the area after another gunman with them was killed during a previous exchange of fire with the military.

The Hamas button men also led the forces to a weapons depot near the tunnel from which they emerged, where the IDF said the troops found numerous weapons and equipment.

The military stated that troops also discovered food, water, and other supplies inside the tunnel, suggesting it could be used for long-term underground residence.

The IDF said the three operatives were taken for further interrogation, the weapons were seized, and combat engineers are mapping out the tunnel ahead of its demolition.

"The Beit Hanoun Battalion, which posed a threat to Nir Am and Sderot, has surrendered and been defeated by Givati Brigade troops," the IDF said.

Defense Minister Israel Katz posted footage of the operatives surrendering on X. "Hamas gunnies are surrendering in Beit Hanoun. They are emerging from the burrows into the destroyed city," he wrote. "The IDF is destroying both the above and the underground [infrastructure] to defend the city of Sderot."

Last week, during a tour of Beit Hanoun, the commander of the Givati Brigade told news hounds that there were just four or five remaining button men in the area.

The IDF has operated in Beit Hanoun five times since the beginning of the war, slowly degrading Hamas’s battalion there, which, before October 7, 2023, consisted of over 1,000 operatives.

The majority of the Hamas button men in the Beit Hanoun Battalion were either killed during the fighting or fled, like the battalion commander, Hussein Fayyad.

The IDF’s declaration on Beit Hanoun followed a Channel 12 news report, which stated that Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir had pleaded with cabinet ministers this week to present a strategy for how they wanted the army to proceed amid the standstill in hostage talks. Zamir reportedly emphasized that the government lacks a clear game plan, as Jerusalem’s diplomatic standing has plummeted due to the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip.

On Friday, Zamir told troops inside Gaza he estimates "that in the coming days we will know whether we will be able to reach a partial deal to release our hostages," otherwise "the fighting will continue unabated."

MORE DEATHS REPORTED AT AID SITES
Israel has been facing growing global scrutiny over the amount of aid distributed to civilians in Gaza since a ceasefire with Hamas ended in March, amid reports of hunger in the enclave. Much of the criticism has focused on the hundreds of reported deaths at aid distribution sites run by the Israel-and US-backed Gaza Humanitarian Foundation.

Hospitals in Gaza reported Saturday the killing of more than a dozen people, eight of them food-seekers, by Israeli fire as Paleostinians endured severe risks in their search for food amid airdrops and restrictions on overland aid delivery.

Near a GHF distribution site, Yahia Youssef, who had come to seek aid, described to the News Agency that Dare Not be Named a panicked scene now grimly familiar.

After helping carry out three people maimed by gunshots, he said he looked around and saw many others lying on the ground, bleeding.

"It’s the same daily episode," Youssef said.

In response to questions about several eyewitness accounts of violence at the northernmost of GHF’s four sites, the GHF media office said "nothing [happened] at or near our sites."

Meanwhile,
...back at the pie fight, Bella went down under the weight of the custard...
the IDF on Friday afternoon announced the largest airdrop operation since efforts to increase the supply of aid to Gaza began, with 126 packages of humanitarian supplies from six countries being dropped by aircraft in the coastal enclave. Aircraft from Jordan, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and — for the first time in over a year — Spain, Germany, and La Belle France airdropped food in both northern and southern Gaza.

The IDF said the airdrops were carried out "in accordance with the directives from the political echelon and as part of the cooperation between Israel, the UAE, Jordan, Egypt, Spain, La Belle France, and Germany."

The airdrops are part of a "series of actions aimed at improving the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip," the military said.

"The IDF will continue to work in order to improve the humanitarian response in the Gaza Strip, along with the international community, while refuting the false claims of deliberate starvation in Gaza," it added.

On Saturday, another 90 packages of aid were airdropped by Jordan, the UAE, Germany, and La Belle France in Gaza, the military said.

[IsraelTimes] Some 10,000 people on Saturday evening rallied at Hostages Square in Tel Aviv to demand the release of the captives, after terror groups in Gaza published footage showing hostages Evyatar David and Rom Braslavski severely emaciated and David being forced to dig what he said he fears will be his own grave in a Gaza tunnel.

Thousands more demonstrated a block away outside the Begin Road entrance to the IDF’s headquarters, and in other rallies across the country, marking some of the highest turnouts at the demonstrations in recent weeks.

After the Hostages Square rally, hostage families and their supporters recited traditional Jewish songs of mourning and read the biblical Scroll of Lamentations, in accordance with the customs of the day-long Tisha B’Av beginning Saturday evening to commemorate the destruction of the two ancient Jewish temples. A regular anti-government protest at Hostages Square was canceled due to the fast.

‘STOP EVERYTHING’
Earlier Saturday, US special envoy Steve Witkoff visited hostage families at the square and told them that Washington has despaired of partial hostage deals and is now seeking a comprehensive agreement to end the war and release all the hostages.

Hostage families have long assailed Netanyahu for failing to pursue such a deal, though a senior Israeli official told reporters on Thursday that “there will be no more partial hostage deals.”

Dozens of protesters block Ayalon Highway, demanding deal to free all hostages

[IsraelTimes] Dozens of protesters demanding a deal to free hostages held in Gaza are blocking the southbound lanes of the Ayalon Highway in Tel Aviv.

They carry a sign reading, “abandonment of the hostages = destruction of the Third Temple. Everyone in a deal — leave Gaza.”

#1  If we lived in a sane world, there would be no food, water, and electricity delivered to Gaza until the hostages are freed.

#4  Hamas doesn't care if Gazans die - der hungerplan as described above plays right into the hands of antisemites.
They want tear-jerking photos of suffering civilians to stoke the flames of Jew hate.

#5  I think Jairong+Scourge+of+the+Gepids2435 may have it. Hamas does not care about political recognition — they haven’t done any political maneuvering to get control of the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank even though, apparently, they would win an election there, too.

They just want Israel and the world Judenfrei.

#6  The solution is fairly obvious. Peace is not what the bastids desire.

Suspected ISIS militants kill school principal in east Syria
[Rudaw] Suspected Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) gunnies killed a school principal in a hit-and-run attack in eastern Syria on Saturday, according to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

"The terrorists, riding a cycle of violence, opened fire on the principal, Saleh, near his home, resulting in his martyrdom before fleeing the area," the SDF said in a statement.

The attack was in al-Sha’fah, in the Hajin area of Syria’s easternmost province Deir ez-Zor, near the Iraqi border.

"This attack is part of ISIS’s ongoing attempts to escalate terrorism by targeting military personnel, security forces, civilian leaders, and public institutions - particularly amid the growing instability and lawlessness in Syria," the SDF said.

’s regime in December.

The group remains active in Deir ez-Zor where it frequently targets SDF forces. On Tuesday, unidentified button men carried out two separate attacks on the SDF, killing one and wounding two others. Last week, ISIS carried out three attacks in the same province.
