In my 30 years of software consulting I can state that the best people I worked with were 1 Black and 1 female, the worst were one black and one female.

Imagine busting your ass all the way through High School to fill your dream of being a doctor, then this happens, and you have to wonder if you really have the chops or are you just a checked box.
Imagine going through medical school, say pediatrician, and get straight honors at graduation. Then go into practice, and kill a child because you weren't really trained. Or crash a plane, or drop something from a crane, or put your artillery on friendlies, crash a container ship.
