UCLA Medical School Goes Woke, Gets Busted
[Red State] When an admissions officer voiced concern about the candidate, the two people said, the dean of admissions, Jennifer Lucero, exploded in anger.

"Did you not know African-American women are dying at a higher rate than everybody else?" Lucero asked the admissions officer, these people said. The candidate's scores shouldn't matter, she continued, because "we need people like this in the medical school."

One of the school's key metrics is the so-called "shelf exam." This exam is administered to medical students at the end of their clinical rotations. This year, we've reached full flower with 50-plus percent failure rates in emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics.

One professor said that a student in the operating room could not identify a major artery when asked, then berated the professor for putting her on the spot

The incompetents forced through training at UCLA will be turned loose on the public. And then we'll see the downstream effects as they injure and kill patients, and the system covers for them because they are elite medical school grads, and if you think their performance sucks, it is because you don't know great medicine and are quite possibly a bigot.

#1  Money quotes from the guts of the article:

"And for those who've seen the competency crisis up close, double standards in admissions are a big part of the problem. "All the normal criteria for getting into medical school only apply to people of certain races," an admissions officer said. "For other people, those criteria are completely disregarded."

Led by Lucero, who also serves as the vice chair for equity, diversity, and inclusion of UCLA's anesthesiology department, the admissions committee routinely gives black and Latino applicants a pass for subpar metrics, four people who served on it said, while whites and Asians need near perfect scores to even be considered.

The bar for underrepresented minorities is "as low as you could possibly imagine," one committee member told the Free Beacon. "It completely disregards grades and achievements."

#4  Surgery and shit.

By all means, let us have that discussion about the plight of the Black Woman in America. I'll lead:

The Black Woman is the victim of a media full court press to glorify an awful lifestyle, with extra attention from the Healthy at Any Weight lie. Songs which make the highest aspiration of the Black Woman is a WAP or THOT are given the most prestigious awards in the industry. Black talking heads tell them its ok to be late for work, its ok to be a single mother, its ok to have x number of children with different sires. The Screen glorifies the cranky, aggressive, false confidence all the time, and if a Black Woman is shown in a position of dignity, the character is made gay. Respect is definitely a mental health concern and when airlines and schools etc. brag about lowing standards to the point corporate can have a photo op of two Black Women pilots everyone goes nope not that flight, and now the same thing with having a Black Woman with health diagnostics and procedures.

The final hammer blow is that when Black Women, Blacks in general, get outside this fence of failure, people like Jennifer Lucero full sprint all the insults at them, and that sets the next generation's mind that if they, too, become independently successful, they, too, will get the hounds set on them.

#6  Back in the 1980s — the first full generation of affirmative action hitting employment age — I worked with a number of young Black chemical engineers who deeply resented the fact that people assumed they’d been hired strictly for the colour of their skin, only eventually recognizing they were precisely as competent as their non-Black peers.

#7  In my 30 years of software consulting I can state that the best people I worked with were 1 Black and 1 female, the worst were one black and one female.

It just cemented my belief that that shit don't matter and it's all up to the indvidual.

#8  Imagine busting your ass all the way through High School to fill your dream of being a doctor, then this happens, and you have to wonder if you really have the chops or are you just a checked box.

Imagine going through medical school, say pediatrician, and get straight honors at graduation. Then go into practice, and kill a child because you weren't really trained. Or crash a plane, or drop something from a crane, or put your artillery on friendlies, crash a container ship.

Oh, and you can tell Lucero is a DIE hire; not only can she not control herself like some animal lesser than a dog, but what she said: We Need instead of We Want. Fuck these fraggles who go around destroying and eating everything other people made then preening about in their comical appearance.

#10  That's the difference between cultivating and forcing.

These DIEs are not your friend, and are not your entrance. They have set up a whole another circle of autocracy and set themselves as gatekeeper. They want you to be incompetent so they teach the wrong lessons and set you up for failure because they themselves are incompetent sociopaths who use emotion as currency because emotion cannot be audited because when you put a competent person next to them their costume falls and their smallness shows. Competence is literally a threat to their job. They are very happy to be the agent of seizing the means of production. The study is DIEsney, the proof is the latest Assassin's Creed putting a Black Man as a position of authority in Feudal Japan and shouting down and cancelling anyone who objects.

They introduce Peter Principle people into the organization because people who know they are out of their depth are easy to control.

They are using you, and rely on silence. They dress up in clownish costumes and say patently opposing statement to disguise the malice and diffuse any criticism. If you go back and re-watch The Fraggles, the Fraggles are bad, evil people disguised as whimsical creatures.

Take a second and re-watch the '88 Baron Munchausen. Right off the bat, The Bureaucrat has a hero soldier executed 'because he makes the ordinary soldier look bad'. Indeed every decision The Bureaucrat makes reduces the strength of The Community. The stories of yore are so reduced The Baron calls the stories lies and balderdash. Gawhd I miss the 80s movies.

And here in this article it is in action. A student in medicine, in which the profession is literally on-the-spot- 24/7/365 on call can't make a simple identification and throws a fit, its the opposite of competency and curiosity which, as theorized, are traits in competition with a DIE's position of authority. If you thought the Covid Response was bad, wait until this crop. They will have no problem giving people The Needle, or whatever the abuse, because they will just go down a Idiocracy List of What To Do Next, no questions asked.

All so people like Lucero can keep their residence inside the walls and they let rovers scour the Outside the Walls, where you will live. They will have no problems using and killing you to keep their position.

They are redecorating The Shooting Wall in Green Screen, and tying to convince us to shoot ourselves. Very coy. Until the next step of convincing us that Direct Action against their detractors-of-the-day is necessary.

These tools are trying to make themselves the reliance.

Migrants Protest for More Free Government Benefits in New York City
[Breitbart] A group of several dozen migrants joined liberal Democrat politicians in New York City on Thursday to protest for even more government benefits for “newcomers.”

The New York Immigration Coalition joined a group of elected Democrat officials on the steps of City Hall to demand more money from the city budget to be dedicated to migrants, according to Caribbean Life.

The activists demanded an array of higher spending, including an additional $109 million for free legal services for immigrants, $5 million for language services, $25 million in support for two city programs for illegal aliens, and an end to policies that evict migrants from shelters after a prescribed time.

DRC: Ally of President Tshisekedi elected head of parliament
[AFRICANEWS] The ally President Felix Tshisekedi returns to a role he has led before. Vital Kamerhe, speaker of the national assembly from 2006-2009, was elected Wednesday to the same position, ending months of bickering and a threat by the President to dissolve parliament.

A veteran of Congolese politics, the 65-year-old became allies with Tshisekedi in 2018, when he withdrew his candidacy for president.

His Union for the Congolese Nation party also played a key role in helping Tshisekedi in dismantle a coalition with his predecessor Joseph Kabila in 2020.

But Kamerhe who served as Tshisekedi's chief of staff was soon arrested and sentenced to 20 years in jail for embezzlement. In 2022, he was acquitted on appeal and released.

In 2023, Kamerhe returned to Tshisekedi's cabinet as minister of the economy just in time for the election in which Tshisekedi won a second term as president.

His election as speaker of parliament paves way for the formation of a new government.

Zambia: Ex-President Lungu accuses President Hakainde Hichilema of plotting his arrest
[AFRICANEWS] Former Zambian President Edgar Lungu is accusing President Hakainde Hichilema and the Zambia Police Inspector General of plotting to arrest and detain him without justification.

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, May 22, Lungu said the police are preparing to arrest him at night from his home in Lusaka.

"...the police are under instructions to arrest me in the dark of the night any day by surprise!" the post read.

This follows Lungu's controversial suggestion of a possible government change before the 2026 elections, seen by many as a threat. His statement has been condemned by political opponents and civil society groups.

Police Chief Graphael Musamba stated that Lungu will be summoned to explain his "inciting" remarks. Local media report that the police are taking Lungu’s statement seriously and are investigating.

Lungu's claims of house arrest and police harassment have raised concerns about democracy and human rights
...not to be confused with individual rights, mind you...
in Zambia. Lungu, a vocal critic of President Hakainde Hichilema’s government, alleges persecution.

The Patriotic Front, Lungu's party, accuses the government of silencing opponents and calls for the release of Lungu and detained party members.

He had retired from politics after losing the presidency to Hakainde Hichilema in 2021.

The former leader has been accusing the government of victimizing him and members of his Patriotic Front (PF) party to block his return to politics.

UN General Assembly approves a draft resolution on the 'genocide in Srebrenica'
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On May 23, the UN General Assembly approved a draft resolution submitted by Germany and Rwanda on the “genocide in Srebrenica.”
Fortunately, absolutely nothing the UN General Assembly does matters.
Representatives of 84 countries voted in favor, and 19 countries voted against, including Russia, China, Belarus, Hungary and Cuba. Representatives of 68 countries abstained from voting.

Russia previously spoke out against the adoption of this resolution. On May 23, the Russian permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya, called the voting results disgraceful and noted that the initiators of the resolution were pushing the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards confrontation.

As Regnum reported, on May 5, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that the draft resolution on the events in Srebrenica submitted by Germany and Rwanda to the UN General Assembly was being promoted with the goal of “breaking the Serbs.” The project involves condemning only one side, Lavrov noted. Russia has previously blocked similar draft resolutions in the UN Security Council, the minister recalled.

On April 30, Nebenzya stated that the draft resolution violated the Dayton Agreement. The possible adoption of the initiative would have a disastrous effect on Bosnia and Herzegovina and could lead to destabilization of the entire Balkan region, he said. Nebenzya stressed that the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina must independently come to a consensus regarding their history.

Over the past year, the Serbian entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina has faced unprecedented pressure due to its refusal to impose anti-Russian sanctions, give up its powers to Sarajevo and join NATO, noted IA Regnum columnist Bogdan Kis in his article. This pushes the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and his circle to serious actions that the collective West does not like, but brings the republic closer to a historic decision, the expert emphasized.

On May 23, Dodik announced that within 30 days the republic would present a project for the peaceful division of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Serbian people can no longer live in Bosnia and Herzegovina in its current form, Dodik emphasized.

A protracted magnetic storm K-index 4 has begun on Earth
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] On May 22, another magnetic storm covered the Earth. Its strength according to the internationally accepted K-index indicator is not very high and reaches 4 (out of 9 possible) points. However, the storm is expected to last for a long time, and it could negatively affect the operation of power grids, satellite systems and other technologies.

A special blow threatens residents of Primorye, reports UssurMedia news agency.

Experts predict that the geomagnetic storm will end on May 25. For four days, the atmosphere will absorb bursts of solar energy. As a result, weather-sensitive people may experience headaches, muscle pain, and general weakness.

The previous magnetic storm was recorded in early May. Its power was 9 points, which is why it was recognized as a record in the 21st century. Residents of some southern regions could even observe the northern lights, which were unusual for this area.

The K-index, an indicator of geomagnetic activity, was introduced in 1938. It represents the deviation of the Earth's magnetic field over a three-hour interval - from 0 to 9 points.

French police to remain in riot-hit territory of New Caledonia, says Macron
[BBC] President Emmanuel Macron has described rioting in the French-Pacific territory of New Caledonia as an "unprecedented insurrection movement" that no-one saw coming.

During a tour of police headquarters in the capital Nouméa on Thursday, he said the coming days and weeks would be difficult, but Paris would "go until the end" to restore calm.

Six people, including two police officers, have been killed and hundreds more wounded in riots, looting and arson triggered by a controversial electoral reform.

New Caledonia, a group of islands between Australia and Fiji, has been a French territory since the 19th Century. Tensions have been high for some time between the central government in Paris and indigenous Kanaks who make up about 40% of the tiny archipelago.

Kanak protesters fear that a new law giving voting rights to French residents who have lived there for more than 10 years will dilute the influence of the indigenous population.

However, the violence that began on 13 May is the worst unrest seen there since the 1980s.

A state of emergency has been imposed and President Macron has said that a 3,000-strong force deployed from France will remain - even during the Paris Summer Olympics if required.

Arriving in Nouméa after a 24-hour flight from Paris, President Macron said he wanted the return of peace, calm and security "as quickly as possible".

He paid respects to the victims of the riots, as he met local political and business leaders.

The summit included separatist leaders, who said beforehand that they hoped it could "breathe new life" into discussions with France.

Police have held 269 people since the violence began on 13 May, and New Caledonia is currently under a state of emergency.

But Mr Macron hinted that the emergency status could be lifted in the coming days, saying: "I personally believe that the state of emergency should not be extended".

New Caledonia has a population of about 300,000 people, including 112,000 indigenous Kanaks.

Under the 1998 Nouméa Accord, France agreed to give the territory more political autonomy and to limit voting in provincial and assembly elections to those who were residents then.

More than 40,000 French nationals have moved to New Caledonia since.

Last week, the National Assembly in Paris proposed granting voting rights to French residents who have lived in the territory for 10 years.

Because this requires a change to the constitution, the measure faces further hurdles.

The Nouméa agreement allowed for three referendums on the country's future. Independence was rejected in all instances.

The first two showed slim majorities for remaining part of France. The third, in December 2021, was boycotted by pro-independence parties because it was held during the Covid pandemic.
