security personnel were killed when a cycle of violence carrying an bomb blew up near a military vehicle in northern Afghanistan being used in opium poppy eradication operations, an interior ministry spokesperson said on Wednesday.

Protests have roiled several districts in the northern province of Badakhshan where farmers object to Taliban security forces' attempts to wipe out opium cultivation - the backbone of many household incomes in impoverished Afghanistan.

"The explosion took place as the police convoy was passing for the purpose of opium poppy eradication," said interior ministry spokesperson Abdul Matin Qaniee, adding that five other people were maimed.

It was not clear who was behind the attack in the thriving provincial capital Faizabad.

National and local Taliban administration spokespeople had said the previous day that calm had been restored to the protest-hit areas and teams sent from the national and thriving provincial capital had held discussions with locals.

The protests, which began late last week, have resulted in the deaths of two people. The Taliban said they were considering providing financial compensation to the victims' families.

The Taliban have said they are seeking to restore order and security to the war-torn nation after taking over in 2021 as foreign forces withdrew.

Nevertheless, attacks have continued and the local branch of murderous Moslem group ISIS, as well as resistance groups, have claimed attacks on Taliban security forces.

Cops clear anti-Israel encampment, arrest 33 at DC campus as mayor's hearing canceled; 2600 arrested on 50 campuses thus far
[IsraelTimes] Officials made decision to clear tents after demonstrators ’gathered improvised weapons’ and were ’casing’ school buildings with possible intention of occupying them

Police using pepper spray cleared an anti-Israel tent encampment at George Washington University and arrested 33 demonstrators early Wednesday, hours after dozens marched to the home of the school’s president as city officials prepared to appear before Congress on the protest’s handling.

District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser and Metropolitan Police Chief Pamela Smith were called to testify Wednesday afternoon at the Republican-led House Oversight and Accountability Committee, but the hearing was canceled after the arrests. The mayor said she spoke with Rep. James Comer, chairman of the House panel, on Wednesday morning and "he expressed his interest in making sure the city and the chief can focus on this ongoing operation" and pulled the hearing.

After the crackdown, Bowser told news hounds that she and the police made the decision to clear the camp based on shifting information about increased threats to public safety. "Our response to demonstrations is always rooted in public safety and responsibility," she said.

Smith added that there were signs that "the protest was becoming more volatile and less stable." Among them were indications that protesters had "gathered improvised weapons" and were "casing" university buildings with the possible intention of occupying them, said Jeffery Carroll, the police department’s executive assistant chief.

Tensions have ratcheted up in standoffs with far-left protesters of the Israel-Hamas
...a regional Iranian catspaw,...
war on campuses across the United States and increasingly in Europe. Some colleges cracked down immediately; others have tolerated the demonstrations. Some have begun to lose patience and have called in police over concerns about disruptions to campus life and safety.

DC police said officers moved to disperse demonstrators at George Washington because "there has been a gradual escalation in the volatility of the protest." They said arrests included ones for the assault on a police officer and unlawful entry. They confirmed they used pepper spray outside the encampment against protesters who were trying to break police lines and enter.

George Washington had warned of possible suspensions for continuing the camp on University Yard. Protesters carrying signs reading "Free Paleostine" and "Hands off Rafah" also marched to school President Ellen Granberg’s home Tuesday night.

The school said in a statement: "While the university is committed to protecting students’ rights to free expression, the encampment had evolved into an unlawful activity, with participants in direct violation of multiple university policies and city regulations."

A week ago, the George Washington encampment was host to a somewhat chaotic visit from several Republican members of the House oversight panel who criticized the protests and condemned Bowser’s refusal at that point to send in police.

Bowser on Monday confirmed the city and police department declined the university’s request to intervene. "We did not have any violence to interrupt on the GW campus," she said then.

But in the early hours of Wednesday, hundreds of Metropolitan Police Department officers descended on the scene, reported The GW Hatchet, the university’s student newspaper.

At least two officers deployed pepper spray on protesters, who then set up an impromptu medical area at a market near the campus, the paper said. Organizers ran to a convenience store to buy water to rinse their eyes.

Since April 18, just over 2,600 people have been arrested on 50 campuses, figures based on AP reporting and statements from universities and law enforcement agencies after this latest pro-Paleostinian movement was launched by a protest at Columbia University in New York. Many, if not the majority, of the arrests are believed to be non-students as bully boy, outside agitators have joined the campus protests.

Another anti-Israel encampment was cleared by officers in riot gear at the University of reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
on Tuesday after administrators who had initially adopted a permissive approach said the protesters had crossed a line, increasing safety concerns. Hundreds of protesters had gathered for at least eight days until administrators warned them Friday to leave or face removal.

"The university remains a place where dissenting voices have many avenues to express themselves, but we cannot enable an environment where the expression of some dominates and disrupts the healthy functioning of the community for the rest," University of Chicago President Paul Alivisatos wrote.

Other schools are letting protesters hold rallies and organize their encampments as they see fit.

The president of Wesleyan University, a liberal arts school in Connecticut, has commended the on-campus demonstrations, which have included a tent encampment, as an act of political expression. The camp there has grown from about 20 tents a week ago to more than 100.

"The protesters’ cause is important — bringing attention to the killing of innocent people," university President Michael Roth wrote to the campus community Thursday. "And we continue to make space for them to do so, as long as that space is not disruptive to campus operations."

The Rhode Island School of Design’s president, Crystal Williams, spent more than five hours with protesters discussing their demands after students started occupying a building Monday.

On Tuesday the school announced it was relocating classes from the building, which was covered with posters reading "Free Paleostine" and "Let Gazoo
Islamic Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response. In October of 2023 Gazooks belonging to Hamas invaded Israel, killed over a thousand people, raped a bunch of women. Then they bitched and moaned about genocide when their butts handed to them in the entirely justified retaliation.
Live."

Some colleges have tried tactics from appeasement to threats of disciplinary action to clear the way for commencements.

Police moved in Tuesday night to break up an encampment at the University of Massachusetts. Video from the scene in Amherst showed an hours-long operation as dozens of coppers in riot gear systematically tearing down tents and taking protesters into custody. The operation continued into early Wednesday.

Police said about 130 people were arrested there Tuesday night after protesters refused orders to disperse.

Further details on the charges and the schedule for arraignments will be forthcoming. Early this morning, UMass Police said 109 people had been booked and charges were pending for approximately 25 other individuals.

UMass Chancellor Javier Reyes said he ordered the sweep after discussions over a wide range of demands failed to yield an agreement to dismantle the encampment and engage in "constructive discussions."

The demonstrators have been calling on their universities to end all partnerships with Israeli academia and to cut all financial ties with companies linked to Israel — a nearly impossible goal given that most colleges have complicated portfolios that include investments in companies that might not be Israeli-based themselves but do have ties with Israel such as Google, Microsoft and the S&P stock exchange.

Ohio: CWRU Hamasniks painted over
[Cleveland.com] Contractors spray-painted over pro-Palestinian protesters at Case Western Reserve University.

Students are accusing contractors hired by Case Western Reserve University of assault after they were spray-painted while protesting for Palestine.

Students painted the Advocacy and Spirit walls on Monday night with the Palestinian flag and messages that included “I dream of breaking the siege,” “Come together in peace” and the number of Palestinian children killed in Gaza since war between Israel and Hamas broke out in October.

Early Tuesday morning, contractors hired by the college were ordered to paint over the walls because the administration said the messaging was “threatening, intimidating and antisemitic,” according to an email from Eric Kaler, Case’s president.

To stop the contractors, several students stood in front of the Spirit Wall as workers directly sprayed white paint over them. One student, wearing a face shield, was seen completely covered in the paint in a video shared with The Plain Dealer and Cleveland.com by Case’s Students for Justice in Palestine group.

Kaler released a statement that said he was “disturbed” by what occurred and apologized to the college community Tuesday evening for the incident.

“Let me be clear: No students — or any individuals — should ever be treated this way, especially on a campus where our core values center on providing a safe, welcoming environment. This is not who we are as an institution, and I am deeply sorry this ever occurred,” he said.

Ameer Alkayali, 18, is seen in the video being spray-painted on early Tuesday morning. Alkayali, a Palestinian-American, just finished his freshman year at the University of Cincinnati. He has been protesting with Case students since the first day of their encampment last week when he was also detained and released.

“I stood against the wall, and the painters asked ‘Should we continue?’ The cops showed general confusion and didn’t tell them to stop,” he said. “So, as seen in the video, they continue to just paint right over us.

“They told us to not put our hands in front of the machine because it’s dangerous. And we put our hands up, and they still continued to paint on our hands and sprayed us with it?”

He said he plans to take legal action against Case’s administration and its public safety department.

“We were coughing, and it didn’t come out of my skin for hours,” he said. “Like it’s still in my hair. I can see it under my nails, and there was no sort of medical or any assistance with the situation after from Case or local police.”
The poor, suffering darlings.

GWU anarchists call for beheadings of school administrators amid anti-Israel encampment
[FoxNews] Anarchists at George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C., have apparently called for the beheadings of school administrators amid their continued anti-Israel encampment.

Demonstrators on campus called for the "guillotine" to be used on GW President Ellen Granberg and other school administrators, a resurfaced video posted to social media showed.

"Guillotine, Guillotine, Guillotine, Guillotine," a person repeatedly chanted as others joined in, while some specifically targeted Christopher Alan Bracey, GW’s African American provost, The National Desk (TND) reported. "Bracey, Bracey we see you, you assault students too."

At least 35 people were arrested at GWU as of Wednesday morning, DC police told Fox News.

Several members at the encampment then held a mock court hearing to decide the fate of the administrators, TND reported. According to the report, the incident was recorded from an Instagram Live video on May 3 and has resurfaced on social media. In the video, an encampment leader rendered the fake verdict as a Bracey proxy sat before them. This mock court continued with verdicts for GWU’s board of trustees and for the school’s president, shouting for each of these individuals to be beheaded, per the publication.

The agitators caused chaos in GWU’s U-Yard throughout the night and then resisted police officers after they were called to restore order.

Police finally moved onto the campus around 3:30 a.m. and used pepper spray to clear the raucous crowd.

For days, the encampment erected tents, displayed Palestinian flags and defaced a statue of the campus' namesake, former President George Washington, with Palestinian iconography.

On Wednesday, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser and police chief Pamela Smith are expected to testify before the House Oversight Committee on Wednesday to discuss the anti-Israel demonstration and potential safety concerns on the GWU campus. The mayor’s office confirmed to Fox News Digital Tuesday that the mayor and the police chief will testify at the hearing.

Security forces eliminate six terrorists in separate KP operations
[GEO.TV] At least six bad boyz were potted by security forces in separate operations in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday, a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

The military’s media wing added that the security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation on the reported presence of bandidos snuffies in Dera Ismail Khan
... the Pearl of Pashtunistan ...
District of KP.

"During the conduct of the operation, five bandidos snuffies were successfully neutralised by the security forces and sent to hell," the ISPR said in a brief statement.

In another exchange of fire in North Wazoo District, troops effectively located the terrorists’ presence and bumped off a krazed killer named, Inam Ullah.

The military’s media wing said that weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the slain terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities against the security forces as well as innocent civilians.

"Sanitisation operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorist found in the area as the security forces are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country," the statement added.

As Pakistain witnesses a sharp rise in militancy, the military and armed forces have been actively engaged in actions to eliminate terrorists.

On Tuesday, Director General ISPR Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said there was "irrefutable evidence" of Tehrik-e-Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
Pakistain (TTP) using Afghanistan's soil against the country.

Reaffirming the commitment to counter-terrorism efforts, he had said that Pakistain would leave no stone unturned to eliminate the terrorist network.

He had stressed that the security forces would go to any extent against terrorists. However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
the spokesperson had also said that the first priority of the Pakistain Army was to maintain law and order in the country.

Commando dies after being injured during West Bank operation
[IsraelTimes] Chief Inspector Yitav Lev Halevi, a commander in elite Yamam unit, was critically hurt in battle with gunmen near Tulkarem

A top Border Police officer critically injured during a battle with Paleostinian button men during a raid in the West Bank over the weekend succumbed to his wounds on Tuesday, authorities said.

He was named by police as Chief Inspector Yitav Lev Halevi, 28, a commander in the elite Yamam counter-terrorism unit.

Halevi was maimed during an operation in the West Bank town of Dayr al-Ghusun, near Tulkarem, on May 4.

Halevi was taken to Beilinson Medical Center in Petah Tikva, where he was listed at death's door.

"After four days in which the medical teams at Beilinson fought for the life of the Yamam soldier, who arrived at the hospital with a critical head injury, this morning the doctors had no choice but to declare [his] death," the hospital said.

Halevi is the son of former Jerusalem District chief Deputy Commissioner (ret.) Yoram Halevi.

Five Paleostinian button men, members of a Hamas
...the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,...
cell responsible for the murder of an Israeli and the injury of others in recent terror attacks in the West Bank, were killed amid the raid carried out by Border Police and the Israel Defense Forces.

The terror cell was planning additional attacks including bombings, the military said at the time.

After coming under fire from the building, troops carried out a tactic known as "pressure cooker" that involves escalating the volume of fire directed at a building to force suspects to come out.

Armored bulldozers demolished part of the building, troops fired several shoulder-launched missiles at the structure, and a Hermes 450 drone carried out two Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s, according to the IDF.

Troops also seized several weapons amid the raid, the military added.

According to the military, the holy warriors had carried out a deadly shooting attack near the West Bank town of Bayt Lid on November 2, killing off-duty IDF reservist Sgt. First Class (res.) Elhanan Klein.

In another attack, on April 7, members of the cell carried out a shooting attack and attempted boom-mobileing on the Route 55 highway, wounding two Israelis, including an off-duty soldier on a bus.

Violence in the West Bank, already on the rise before October 7 — when thousands of Hamas-led holy warriors stormed southern Israel to kill nearly 1,200 people and abduct 252 — has escalated throughout the war sparked by the onslaught, with frequent army raids on terror groups, deadly Paleostinian attacks, and rampages by Jewish settlers in Paleostinian villages, at times also deadly.

Since October 7, troops have arrested some 4,000 wanted Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 1,700 affiliated with Hamas, the IDF has said.

According to the PA health ministry, more than 490 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed amid raids or holy warriors carrying out attacks.

[IsraelTimes] As battles raged on the outskirts of Rafah on Wednesday with Israeli forces closing in, Paleostinians were on the move again, abandoning neighborhoods of the southern Gazoo

Israel has threatened a major assault on Rafah to defeat four of Hamas
...a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth",...
’s six remaining battalions holed up there, but more than a million people are sheltering in the city, prompting warnings from the United Nations

of a humanitarian catastrophe.

Israeli forces tasked with destroying the terror group, on Tuesday seized the main border crossing between Gaza and Egypt in Rafah, cutting off a vital route for aid into the enclave, where malnutrition is widespread.

Israel is continuing to bring in aid through several crossings, while the US has completed the construction of a pier that will allow large amounts of aid to be transferred into the Strip.

Israel’s military said it was conducting a limited operation in Rafah to kill snuffies and dismantle infrastructure used by Hamas, which runs Gaza. It told civilians to go to an "expanded humanitarian zone" near Khan Younis, north of Rafah.

Three residents of Rafah told Rooters by phone that tens of thousands of people have fled the city, which was seen as the last refuge for Paleostinians who have been displaced many times over as Israeli Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s pulverized Gaza.

People in the Jneina, al-Shawka, al-Salam and other neighborhoods were ordered by the Israeli army to leave in anticipation of an assault. Some 1.4 million people have been sheltering in Rafah, raising the prospect of major casualties.

"Some streets look like a ghost town now," said Aref, 35, who asked not to be named.

"We don’t fear death and martyrdom but we have kids to care for and live for another day when this war ends and we rebuild the city," he told Rooters via a chat app.

The war erupted on October 7 when Hamas snuffies rampaged through southern communities, murdering 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking 253 hostages back to the enclave.

The Hamas-run Gaza health ministry says more than 34,000 people in the Strip have been killed in the fighting so far, a figure that cannot be independently verified and includes some 13,000 Hamas button men Israel says it has killed in battle. Israel also says it killed some 1,000 snuffies inside Israel on October 7. Almost 270 IDF soldiers have been killed in the IDF’s Gaza offensive.

WARNINGS TO LEAVE
Many Rafah residents said they received warnings over their phones, and planes dropped leaflets.

Juliette Touma, director of communications of the UN Paleostinian refugee agency UNRWA, estimated that around 10,000 Paleostinians had left Rafah since Monday.

The Hamas-run Gaza government media office put the number of people fleeing at tens of thousands and warned against a "massacre."

Residents said tanks, which had moved in to take control of the Rafah border crossing, had not entered built-up areas of the city and shootouts were still outside the city limits.

Suleiman Abu Kweik and his family are being displaced for the fourth time.

"Our homes have been destroyed. In Gaza [City] our house... they destroyed it. It was shelled. We went to Khan Younis. When they threatened Khan Younis, we went to Rafah," he said.

Hamas said its operatives were battling Israeli forces in the east of Rafah. Lines of smoke from airstrikes and tank shelling rose from places east of the city, residents said.
