[Washington Examiner] EXCLUSIVE — Authorities in West Texas have begun to see illegal immigrants aiding criminal networks in the stealing of truckloads of valuable oil and materials from the nation’s largest oilfields in the Permian Basin. A surprise to everyone
Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX), whose district spans 800 miles of the Texas border, organized federal and local law enforcement in the region Friday to come up with a plan of attack as the largest U.S. oilfield, the Permian Basin, continues to get hit by thieves. The matter is not only a border security matter but an energy security problem.
"The bottom line is the border crisis is expanding, and it is morphing into other things, and part of that is you have folks that are Cuban nationals that are kind of settling out in West Texas and in some cases are part of this increase in oil theft," Gonzales told the Washington Examiner on Friday in a phone interview, who later added that Cuban involvement was "growing."
Oil theft in the region is no small problem, and the potential for it to destroy oil and gas jobs in the United States is a "very serious, existential threat to our national security," according to Matt Coday, president and founder of the Oil & Gas Workers Association.
"Truckloads of oil are being stolen from small, independent oil producers. Oilfield instruments, trucks, equipment, and even work boots and clothes have been stolen," Coday wrote in a message. "These crimes hurt every American and smaller, independent producers especially."
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Bodycam footage of the moment a 23-year-old airman was killed at his home after police allegedly forced their way into the wrong apartment and shot him has now been released
A 23-year-old airman was shot dead by a cop at his home while on FaceTime after a neighbor reported hearing someone being slapped.
Bodycam footage shows the moments leading up to US Air Force Senior Airman Roger Fortson, 23, being killed last Friday afternoon.
A neighbor describes a disturbance to the officer as she leads him through the apartment building. She tells the sheriff's office cop a fight had gotten 'out of hand' in one of the apartments - and described hearing a slap.
When asked what room the alleged fight took place in, the woman responded '1401'. The law enforcement officer confirmed with the woman that he was going to the fourth floor before riding the elevator up to Fortson's off-base residence at an apartment complex on 319 Racetrack Road in Okaloosa County, Florida.
Upon arriving at the the door of an apartment, the officer knocked once - and then again, saying 'Sheriff's office. Open the door' twice. As the door opened, the sheriff ordered 'step back' and 'do not move.' The officer then fired six rapid shots that sent the 23-year-old stumbling to the ground.
A witness, who was on FaceTime with Fortson during the time of the shooting, claimed Fortson heard a knock at the door and asked who was there. According to the witness, when he did not receive a response but heard another 'very aggressive knock,' Fortson peered through the peephole - but did not see anyone and grew concerned.
Out of concern, Fortson retrieved a gun - which he owned legally, according to the witness. When he returned to his living room with the gun, authorities allegedly pushed through his door and shot him six times.
The traumatized witness, who remained on the FaceTime call for the duration of the horrifying shooting, recalled that Fortson said 'I can't breathe,' after the shots were fired. Fortson later died at the hospital.
The deputy involved in the incident has since been placed on administrative leave while the shooting continues to be investigated.
The 23-year old was based at the Special Operations Wing at Hurlburt Field, Florida. He entered active duty on Nov. 19, 2019. He was assigned to the 4th Special Operations Squadron as a special missions aviator, where one of his roles as a member of the squadron's AC-130J Ghostrider aircrew was to load the gunship's 30mm and 105mm cannons during missions.
Fortson's mother, Meka Fortson, said that it had always been a dream of her son to service his country and that he had wanted to become a pilot.
'It's a disbelief. Every day, I try to go to sleep early to wake up like it's a dream,' she told Military.com.
'He just came back from deployment from fighting for us. With everything we got going on in our country, he's fighting for us and he came back to be murdered, slain like that so violently.'
'He was my gift, and they took my gift away,' Roger's mother said. 'And they didn't give it to me. God gave me that gift ... and they took my gift away.'
A similar incident happened involving the same sheriff's office back in November - in which the officer shot an unarmed and handcuffed man after he mistook the sound of a falling acorn for a gunshot, according to The Washington Post.
[Just The News] Mass migration has not delivered significant GDP growth per capita for the United Kingdom, but it has increased strain on the country, according to a new study.
While illegal immigration recently hit record highs in the United States, legal immigration poses a significant issue for the U.K., where legal migration levels are more than 25 times the level of illegal levels, according to a report Wednesday from the Centre for Policy Studies, a U.K. think tank and advocacy group.
The percentage of foreign-born people in the U.K. nearly doubled over two decades, with 9% of the population being foreign-born in 2001 to 17% in 2021, which is even higher than the U.S., where 14% of people are foreign-born.
Additionally, the United Kingdom has seen 10 million people move to the U.K. and 6.3 million leave since 2010, resulting in an additional 3.7 million new migrants.
While the study acknowledges that "correlation is not causation," but states that a "country with more people in it will normally have a higher GDP because there are more workers," and the increase in migration has coincided with a large decline in GDP per capita growth.
Additionally, although the U.K. has increased the number of homes by 2.11 million from April 2013 to March 2023, the country still has a housing "deficit of 1.34 million homes, with net migration in effect accounting for 89% of the deficit," per the study. Compounding the housing issue is that migrants tend to converge in London and the South-East, where the housing pressures are the greatest.
The study's researchers argue that immigration should be capped overall, Parliament should set an annual migration "budget" and the U.K. should be more selective about who it lets in by preferring immigrants who are highly skilled.
The study was written by two members of Parliament — former Immigration Minister Robert Jenrick and Neil O'Brien — as well as CPS Research Director Karl Williams.
"’Immigration is consistently one of the top concerns of voters and they deserve a Department whose sole mission is controlling immigration and securing our borders," Jenrick said.

Legal immigration is often economically beneficial. Illegal immigration is a net negative. Historically, the corporations and individuals that like illegal immigration bribe politicians to support the invasion. The new brand of illegal immigrant that do not intend to work is only cheered by the Soros crowd whose goal is our destruction and the stupidest collection of Democrats.

[ZERO] ......the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences has launched a $500 million fundraising initiative in an effort to offset the Oscars dramatic drop in viewership - which went from nearly 44 million in 2014, to just 19.5 million in the latest ceremony, according to Statista.
Bill Kramer, the Academy’s Chief Executive, revealed in an interview with the Financial Times that the organization has already raised about $100 million, with contributions from high-profile donors like billionaire Leonard Blavatnik. The campaign is further bolstered by sponsorship agreements with renowned luxury brands, including the Dorchester Collection.
The timing of this fundraising drive is crucial as the Academy’s current broadcasting agreement with ABC, a Walt Disney-owned network, is set to expire in 2028, coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the Oscars. Negotiations for renewal are expected to commence shortly, with Kramer describing the existing deal as "very healthy" and lauding the partnership with Disney as "amazing." However, the shift towards streaming and the upheavals in the television and film industry have prompted the Academy to pursue what Kramer calls a "revenue diversification campaign."
"No healthy company or organization should rely on one source of support to a degree that could cause concern if that support decreases," he told the outlet.
The move comes amid broader financial struggles within the non-profit arts sector. Notable institutions like the Metropolitan Opera in New York have had to draw emergency funds from endowments due to cash shortfalls, and the Sundance Film Festival has faced significant challenges recovering post-Covid-19 disruptions.

Well, keep flashing that middle finger at that one source will make that happen.

'Like Pee Wee's Playhouse, but spastic and retarded'

Look. I know I've commented, but a DEI inclusion ruined the Roast of Tom Brady. Being a former Chief's fan, Tom Brady getting tapped on the head for a Personal Foul which turned the game, I get one way or another old school football fans would be interested one way or another.
They managed to put in a 'roaster' who was lame and gay.

Sadly, since I have boycotted them my entire life, I can't boycott them more. Honestly I just never gave a crap about them anyway. Most of the so called "Oscar worthy" movies wind up in the bargain tub at Walmart anyway cause real humans don't watch that crap.
[BLAZE] Since taking office in December, Javier Milei, Argentina's self-proclaimed "anarcho-capitalist" president, has taken a "chainsaw" to his predecessors' failed leftist policies and increasingly to critics' doubts. Madonna - 1996
Recent economic signals out of the South American nation indicate Milei's free market reforms could ultimately usher Argentina from ruin to renaissance.
BACKGROUND
Argentina was one of the world's richest nations in the early 20th century. However, it was reduced to a shambles after six major military coups and several decades of unchecked spending. A 2016 paper in the Journal of Development Studies indicated that Argentina, which has defaulted on its sovereign debt nine times, was the only country in the world considered to be "developed" in the year 1900 but "developing" in 2000.
When the country's former leftist President Alberto Fernandez left office late last year, Argentina owed $44 billion to the International Monetary Fund; had a trade deficit of $43 billion; had international creditors knocking at the door; had nearly half of its population stuck in abject poverty; and was poised to see inflation exceed 211%.
Milei had no plans of seeing his socialist predecessors' destructionist campaign through to its inevitable conclusion. After all, he had campaigned instead on executing his so-called Chainsaw Plan.

Government has shown a surplus this last quarter; first time in years. Unions are doing all in their power to bring the Milei government down. Milei pumping for investments in Lithium and Petroleum (fracking), international overview quite optimistic.
[Rumble] During the COVID pandemic, there were a few big names we saw on our TVs daily — one of those was former White House coronavirus response coordinator, colloquially known as the "Scarf Lady". Along with her were Dr. Anthony Fauci and a gang of other vaccine pushers — however, it seems she's changed her tone regarding the jab. What exactly did she say, and what does it mean for the vaccine at large?

“They were very effective for what they were supposed to be used for, which was preventing severe disease and hospitalization or deaths."
I keep hearing that, from people who want to believe. I can't recall seeing any statistics, and can imagine how one would measure such 'prevention'. Which vaccine was better, and by how much?
All wishful thinking by those that believe, blatant prevarication by those who spread this disinformation.

Those of us that made up the early Real Data & Facts sharing group. Are still awaiting apologies.
All for pointing out pretty much the same things over the last 30+ months, during the mandatory Clot-Shots. All while mRNA funded Gov's pockets knew this suppressed adverse reaction data.

Indeed.
I still maintain that a medical procedure is an individual choice based on best data available.
That said: “They were very effective for what they were supposed to be used for, which was preventing severe disease and hospitalization or deaths."
Is absolute copeium bullshit. Call the motivations whatever, regionally we were a control group. I can count on a hand the number who got sick enough - without comorbidities - to consider hospital and self cured with the noted battery of anti-flu supplements plus Ivermectim. I can count the same number on the other hand who have died suddenly. I can play the same game with those happy with their boosters and those who had some side effects.
But don't trust me, you can see for yourself. Everyone in the tank for Covid Masks then haven't touched one in ages, except for the Friends of Hamas who, four years ago were given a pass because Covid doesn't transmit during riots, are wearing them now 'for some reason'.

Covid was real. I got sicker than I normally get for a cold. No study will be funded because the results are dangerous to powerful people and corporations. Birx is not in jail because the truth would damage all those powerful people.

Yes swk, either intentional or unintentional we were.....(or became) a control group.

Covid was real. Review my notes there were many school activities cancelled because too many people were sick. In December - Covid discussion began in February.
Disclaimer: this is all anecdotal, yet are data points if you so desire.
I did everything 'wrong' and if I got it, didn't notice. Family: 1 with immediate side effects losing 10 points off the oximeter, 1 with unexpected cardio problems a few months later, 1 who was encouraged by doctor to take it and now doctor said knock it off, Say 8 with no effects (as of now).
2 younger than me forced to take it 'dying suddenly'.
2 who got ultra sick and were cured by the basic Z-Pack and ivermectin.
And say 4 who died 'with Covid' but I'll tell ya they were on the ropes already. Family denied a smooth transition if you will on account of Covid Protocols. Those piss me off. "Hey sorry your fam is dying, can't see 'em because you might get them sick. Now's the time on Sprockets where we dance."
As I said, personal health decision choice. I will point out that with all the homeless plus the Summer of Shove, bodies would have been choking the rivers if it was as bad as sold.

Yes Covid-19+ was real. The wife and I caught it from our RN/LPN vax'd family. We were in the hospital for me for 13days and wife 14 days. It seems vax'd persons got mild cases then became carriers for 7 to days afterwards.

[Red State] The petition calls for an investigation by the House Oversight Committee and the removal of Kimberly Cheatle as the Secret Service director. It raises issues about DEI hiring superseding training and creating security issues. Whistleblowers are calling for the same type of investigation into the Secret Service that the House Judiciary just started into the FBI.
Crabtree pointed back to the incident with the agent on Kamala Harris' team, in which the agent began acting erratically and punching her superior. Concerns had been raised about her hiring and alleged DEI practices

Historically, much of tge Secret Service was staffed with Mormons. The crazy lady doesn’t sound LDS. Maybe she was overexposed to Kamala’s speeches.

[Gateway] In a recent viral sting operation by a group of prominent YouTubers, including Vitaly Zdorovetskiy, an alarming allegation has surfaced that California’s District Attorneys will not prosecute individuals caught in these stings, despite clear evidence of predatory behavior towards minors.
Last Tuesday, the online series "Catching Child Predators," led by Zdorovetskiy along with DJ Deorro and Bradley Martyn, released a disturbing episode where Herschel Weingrod, a veteran Hollywood producer known for his work on ’1996 Space Jam’, was caught on camera in a compromising situation.
Weingrod, who introduced himself as "Boris," was filmed at a local restaurant with a young girl who, according to him, claimed to be 23 based on her dating profile. However, during the confrontation, it was revealed she had informed him of her actual underage status.
The confrontation escalated as Weingrod attempted to dismiss the severity of his actions, claiming that talking and flirting with a minor was "not a big deal." The situation intensified when Weingrod tried to leave the scene, only to be pursued by Zdorovetskiy and Martyn, who resorted to firing pink and blue gunpowder cannons.
