Britain
As pro-Palestinian encampments spread to UK campuses, Sunak seeks to head off unrest
[IsraelTimes] British PM meets with university heads after warning of antisemitism, with ’students and academic staff being targeted, threatened, and assaulted simply for being Jewish’

About three dozen pro-Paleostinian protesters crawled out of their tents Thursday morning at Cambridge University, grabbed coffee and tea and sat in a circle for the daily briefing. Drink water, display the Paleostinian colors, don’t talk to news hounds, their leader said at the 43-tent encampment beneath the gothic spires of King’s College Chapel. In case of trouble, one group member hovered along the adjacent King’s Parade wearing a neon yellow vest marked "Police Liaison."

But after the third night of the encampment, there had been no need for the police despite a small number of counter-demonstrators, according to protesters and local merchants. At most, the group’s chanting on Monday led a few customers to abandon their sidewalk café tables and head indoors, said Beverley Atay, manager of the Copper Kettle across the street.

Brazil's Top Drug Trafficking Syndicate Gains Foothold in Australia
[Breitbart] The First Capital Command (PCC), Brazil’s largest transnational organized crime syndicate and Latin America’s largest drug trafficking gang, has managed to establish a foothold in Sydney, Australia, according to a report published by the Argentine news outlet Infobae on Thursday.

Infobae reported that, according to information reviewed by the news outlet and reports from the Australian Federal Police (AFP), PCC has set up two cells in Sydney operating in collaboration with a local motorcycle gang controlled by Italy’s ‘Ndrangheta mafia — one of the oldest Italian mafia organizations and a longstanding business partner of PCC in Brazil.

The PCC, described by the U.S. Department of the Treasury in 2021 as “the most powerful organized crime group in Brazil and among the most powerful in the world,” was originally founded by a group of inmates of Sao Paulo’s Taubaté Penitentiary in 1993 following a violent soccer match between inmates that ended with at least two dead.

Lufthansa Interested in Purchasing Elbit's Hermes Drones, Poland in purchasing whatever Elfa Systems makes
They mean it when they buy Israeli.
[IsraelDefense] The project concerns an offer to deliver and maintain up to eight of the Israeli Hermes 900 Starliner drones for the German Navy

A spokesperson for the German flagship carrier Lufthansa announced this week that the company will collaborate with Israel’s Elbit Systems on military drones through its maintenance subsidiary, Lufthansa Technik.

The website stated that the companies signed a memorandum of understanding in January of this year, but a formal contract has yet to be signed. The project involves an offer to deliver and maintain up to eight Israeli Hermes 900 Starliner drones for the German Navy.

Lufthansa Technik will be responsible for maintenance and staff training, while Elbit will oversee the production of the drones. The project's value was not disclosed by either side.

This marks the first military drone project for the subsidiary of the German flagship carrier. Its defense business includes servicing and maintaining NATO's staple aircraft, such as the F-35 fighter jets, the Chinook transport helicopters, and the Poseidon reconnaissance planes.

Elta North America Engages in Poland's Aerostat Reconnaissance Program

[IsraelDefense] Poland intends to procure Airspace and Surface Radar Reconnaissance (ASRR) aerostat systems for an estimated $1.2 billion

Elta North America, a subsidiary of Israel's Elta Systems, is participating in the Polish Army's Aerostat reconnaissance program, in which Poland's Armament Agency intends to purchase four systems.

Janes reports that in February of last year, the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) announced Poland's intention to procure Airspace and Surface Radar Reconnaissance (ASRR) aerostat systems for an estimated $1.2 billion. The primary contractors fulfilling this requirement are Raytheon Intelligence & Space, ELTA North America, and Avantus Federal LLC.

The Polish procurement comprises ASRR aerostat systems, as well as airborne early warning (AEW) radars with identification friend-or-foe (IFF) capabilities, electronic sensor systems, mooring systems with powered tether and embedded fiber optics, and ground control systems (GCS).

Fifth Column
Billionaire investor pans student protests at alma mater Harvard as ‘anarchy' as colleges surrender on divestment and Cornell pres. quits
[IsraelTimes] Kenneth Griffin says university should embrace ’Western values,’ put meritocracy ’front and center’

Billionaire investor Kenneth Griffin called on his alma mater Harvard University on Saturday to embrace "Western values," saying that the turmoil across college campuses was the product of a "cultural revolution" in US education.

Griffin, founder of US hedge fund Citadel, told the Financial Times in an interview that the US had "lost sight of education as the means of pursuing truth and acquiring knowledge" over the past decade.

"Harvard should put front and center [that it] stands for meritocracy in America...," Griffin said, adding that schools should "embrace Western values that have built one of the greatest nations in the world."

Griffin, who has donated more than half a billion dollars to Harvard University, said in January that he has halted donations to the school over how it handled antisemitism on campus.
Consequences are an important teaching tool.
"What you’re seeing now is the end-product of this cultural revolution in American education playing out on American campuses, in particular, using the paradigm of the oppressor and the oppressed," Griffin told the FT.

"The protests on college campuses are almost like performative art..," he said.
Or a hysterical temper tantrum
"Freedom of speech does not give you the right to storm a building or vandalize it," he added. "That’s not freedom of speech. That’s just anarchy."

Since the first mass arrests at Columbia University on April 18, at least 2,600 demonstrators have been detained at more than 100 protests in 39 states and Washington, DC, according to The Appeal, a nonprofit news organization.

Griffin, who started trading in his Harvard dormitory, spoke at the Managed Funds Association conference in Miami in January about America’s elite universities and criticized the education at the universities blaming the "DEI (diversity, equity and inclusion) agenda."

Harvard has been beset by controversy over campus anti-Israel activism since the outbreak of the Israel-Hamas

war. In February, a congressional committee issued subpoenas to Harvard administrators as part of a broader investigation into antisemitism at the university. Two weeks earlier, the Department of Education opened an investigation into the university’s treatment of pro-Paleostinian students targeted by pro-Israel harassment.

In January, Claudine Gay, Harvard’s president, resigned under pressure following plagiarism allegations and a congressional hearing in which she dithered on whether calling for the genocide of Jews violated campus policy.

Cornell University president quits amid campus antisemitism, Gaza protests

This is no longer his thought of the day, M. And note that he said it to the Financial Times in a published interview otherwise about, one presumes, financial stuff. And he spoke on the theme at a Managed Funds Association conference in Miami in January, so he has been working at spreading the gospel where it will yield further consequences — as have been others.

US promises to squash Palestinian membership push at UN following vote
[FoxNews] The U.S. has promised to vote against any resolution that would seek to grant the Palestinians full membership in the United Nations after a General Assembly resolution passed with significant support from member states.
"promises"
"Our vote does not reflect opposition to Palestinian statehood," U.S. Deputy Ambassador to the U.N. Robert Wood said after the vote. "We have been very clear that we support it and seek to advance it meaningfully: Instead, it is an acknowledgment that statehood will only come from a process that involves direct negotiations between the parties."

"This resolution does not resolve the concerns about the Palestinian membership application raised in April in the Security Council through the admissions committee process," Wood added. "Should the Security Council take up the Palestinian membership application as a result of this resolution, there will be a similar outcome."

Hamas publishes propaganda video of hostage Nadav Popplewell
[IsraelTimes] No indication as to when 10-second clip was filmed; family members of hostages accuse government of abandoning their loved ones to die in captivity

Hamas

on Saturday aired a new propaganda video showing an Israeli hostage held in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. Strip, the latest clip in a series of videos it has released of Israeli hostages since the October 7 attacks.

In the 10-second clip, the hostage identified himself as British-Israeli Nadav Popplewell, 51.

There was no indication as to when the video was filmed.

Popplewell was taken hostage with his mother, Channah Peri, 79, from their home on Kibbutz Nirim during the October 7 terror assault, and his older brother Roi Popplewell, 54, was shot and killed by Death Eaters behind his home on the kibbutz.

Channah Peri was released on November 24 as part of a weeklong temporary ceasefire deal brokered by Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. and the United States between Hamas and Israel.

Hamas has previously issued similar videos of hostages it is holding, in what Israel has condemned as psychological warfare. Most Israeli media outlets do not carry the video clips themselves unless asked to or given permission by the hostage’s family members.

The video of Popplewell is the third clip that has been released by the Gaza terror group in recent weeks.

Of the 252 hostages seized by Hamas during the deadly October 7 terror onslaught in which some 1,200 people were massacred, 128 are believed to remain in Gaza — not all of them alive.

The IDF has confirmed the deaths of 36 of those still held by Hamas, citing new intelligence and findings obtained by troops operating in Gaza. One more person is listed as missing since October 7, and their fate is still unknown.

Egypt refusing to coordinate with Israel on entry of aid in Rafah ‐ state media
Punishing Gaza because they want Israel to be seen as failing?
[IsraelTimes] Israeli sources tell Channel 12 they cannot bring in aid without Egyptian cooperation, fear refusal will harm IDF’s ability to operate in the area

Egypt has refused to coordinate with Israel on the entry of aid into Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. from the Rafah Crossing due to Israel’s "unacceptable escalation," Egypt’s state-affiliated Alqahera News satellite TV reported on Saturday, citing a bigwig.

The official also said that Egypt held Israel responsible for the deterioration of the situation in the Gaza Strip.

On May 7, Israeli forces seized the main border crossing at Rafah, closing a vital route for aid into the besieged enclave. Israel did so as it began operations against Hamas

in the Rafah area, and as negotiations for a hostage deal and truce floundered.

The military says Hamas has used the crossing for terror purposes. It is widely believed arms and other banned items are smuggled into the Strip from Egypt.

The United Nations
...a lucrative dumping ground for the relatives of dictators and party hacks...
and other international aid agencies said the closing of the two crossings into southern Gaza — Rafah and Israeli-controlled Kerem Shalom (after rocket attacks targeted that crossing) — had virtually cut the enclave off from outside.

Red Islamic Thingy sources in Egypt said shipments had completely halted.

Israeli sources told Channel 12 that Israel wants to bring in aid but cannot do so without Egyptian cooperation. Israel fears the Egyptian refusal to coordinate the entry of aid will bring intense international pressure on Israel and harm its ability to operate in Rafah.

Meanwhile,

Israel ordered new evacuations in Rafah, instructing tens of thousands more people to move as it prepares to expand its military operation closer to the heavily populated central area, in defiance of growing pressure from close ally the United States and others.

In the initial evacuation zone and other areas of Rafah, around 300,000 Paleostinians have evacuated to a designated "humanitarian zone," according to IDF assessments.

Lt. Col. Avichay Adraee, the IDF’s Arabic-language front man, published on Saturday morning a list of the new zones that needed to be evacuated. The IDF also dropped flyers, sent text messages and made phone calls with the evacuation instructions.

Israel’s military also said it was moving into an area of northern Gaza where it asserted that the Hamas terror group had regrouped. Adraee told Paleostinians in Jabaliya and Beit Lahiya and surrounding areas to leave their homes and head to shelters in the west of Gaza City, warning that people were in "a dangerous combat zone" and that Israel would strike with "great force."

Israel has now evacuated the eastern third of Rafah. The United Nations and others have warned that Israel’s planned full-scale Rafah invasion would cripple humanitarian operations and cause a disastrous surge in civilian casualties.

Israel says it has made plans to evacuate civilians from areas of combat, and that it must tackle Hamas’s remaining battalions in Rafah in order to fully defeat the group in the enclave.

US President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body....
has said he will not provide offensive weapons to Israel for Rafah. Jerusalem has responded with defiance, saying it will act against the terror group alone if necessary.

More than 1.4 million Paleostinians — half of Gaza’s population — have been sheltering in Rafah, most after fleeing Israel’s offensives elsewhere. The evacuations are forcing people to return north where areas are devastated from previous Israeli attacks.

In a highly anticipated report to Congress, the Biden administration said Friday it found "credible and reliable" Israeli assurances that it will use US weapons in accordance with international humanitarian law, allowing for the further transfer of American arms amid Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza.

However,
a person who gets all wrapped up in himself makes a mighty small package...
in the strongest such statement from Biden officials, the US State Department report also said it was "reasonable" to assess that Israel has used US-supplied weapons since Hamas’s October 7 attack in instances that were "inconsistent" with its international humanitarian law obligations, but that it does not have complete information to verify Israeli forces did so.

The White House said Friday that the US does not believe the IDF’s operation in Rafah in recent days amounts to a wide-scale military operation.

The US has offered tepid support for the limited operation to remove Hamas from the Rafah Crossing area, but warned that its stance could shift if the offensive widened to civilian areas or if the delivery of humanitarian aid was hampered for a sustained period. That came after the White House confirmed a delay in the transfer of 2,000- and 500-pound bombs over concerns that the IDF could use them in Rafah, as it has in other parts of Gaza.

It is believed that 128 hostages kidnapped by Hamas on October 7 remain in Gaza — not all of them alive — after 105 civilians were released from Hamas captivity during a weeklong truce in late November, and four hostages were released prior to that. Three hostages have been rescued by troops alive, and the bodies of 12 hostages have also been recovered, including three mistakenly killed by the military.

The IDF has confirmed the deaths of 36 of those still held by Hamas, citing new intelligence and findings obtained by troops operating in Gaza.

One more person is listed as missing since October 7, and their fate is still unknown.

Hamas is also holding the bodies of fallen IDF soldiers Oron Shaul and Hadar Goldin since 2014, as well as two Israeli civilians, Avera Mengistu and Hisham al-Sayed, who are both thought to be alive after entering the Strip of their own accord in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

US ‘deeply concerned' after report alleges Gaza prisoners abused at Israeli facility
[IsraelTimes] Citing Israeli whistleblowers and freed detainees, CNN describes beatings, psychological abuse, medical neglect, prisoners tied near-naked to beds; IDF denies improper treatment
CNN. But when one is looking for an excuse, any source will do.
The United States has said it is "deeply concerned" over a recent report alleging abuse of Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. detainees at an Israeli detention facility holding terror suspects detained during the ongoing war with Hamas

in the Strip.

Citing two Israeli whistleblowers and a Paleostinian doctor who was held in the Sde Teiman facility in the Negev, the report detailed alleged widespread abuse of detainees, including extreme use of physical restraints, beatings, neglect of medical problems, arbitrary punishments and more.

Most of the detainees at the facility are suspected terror operatives arrested during the months-long Gaza war, though it is believed that some are snuffies arrested in Israel during the atrocities of October 7.

Suspected terror operatives are legally allowed to be held for 45 days before they must either be released or moved on to the care of the Israel Prison Service.

The two Israeli sources said prisoners were forced to sit up straight for long hours, blindfolded much of the time, and were not allowed to speak. A common form of punishment for those who spoke or otherwise offended was to force them to hold their arms over their head for an hour. Some had their arms zip-tied to the fence over their heads.

The military denied widespread abuse, telling CNN

It added that "detainees are handcuffed based on their risk level and health status. Incidents of unlawful handcuffing are not known to the authorities."

Another of the Israeli sources shared photos he took at the detention facility at Sde Teiman, some 30 kilometers (18 miles) from the Gaza border, which show around a hundred blindfolded men in grey tracksuits in a floodlit area surrounded by a barbed wire fence.

"[The beatings] were not done to gather intelligence. They were done out of Dire Revenge," one whistleblower quoted by CNN said. "It was punishment for what [the Paleostinians] did on October 7 and punishment for behavior in the camp."

CNN said it spoke to at least 12 people who were held either at Sde Teiman or at other similar facilities and were later released. One said he was held for 44 days, including for many weeks after security forces determined he was not a combatant — as they wanted to use him as a go-between.

Emirati FM pans Netanyahu's suggestion country might help manage Gaza after war
[IsraelTimes] Bin Zayed says Abu Dhabi will not join a plan ’aimed at providing cover for Israeli presence in Gaza’; says will give all forms of support to a future Palestinian government

United Arab Emirates Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed on Friday denounced a suggestion by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Abu Dhabi might assist local Paleostinians in managing Gazoo

after the war.

Bin Zayed tweeted a denunciation of Netanyahu’s proposal his country "participate in civil administration of the Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli occupation."

"The UAE stresses that the Israeli prime minister does not have any legal capacity to take this step, and the state refuses to be drawn into any plan aimed at providing cover for the Israeli presence in the Gaza Strip," he added.

"The UAE affirms that when a Paleostinian government is formed that meets the hopes and aspirations of the brotherly Paleostinian people and enjoys integrity, competence and independence, the state will be fully prepared to provide all forms of support to that government," Bin Zayed said.

Netanyahu was asked in a Thursday interview with Dr. Phil who he’d like to see run Gaza after Hamas

"We’ll probably have to have some kind of civilian administration by Gazooks who are not committed to our destruction, possibly with the aid of the United Arab Emirates, Soddy Arabia

Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat Frational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start...
and other countries that I think want to see stability and peace," Netanyahu responded, adding that Israel would maintain the right to enter the enclave as necessary to root out remnant terror elements.

Emirati leaders have repeatedly asserted that they will not take part in the post-war management of Gaza, absent an Israeli commitment to create a pathway to a future two-state solution — a framework opposed by Netanyahu and his hardline government.

Some officials have suggested that Abu Dhabi has privately shown more flexibility.

United States President Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Joe's wife and daughter weren't killed by a drunk driver. He didn't graduate with three or even two degrees, wasn't in the top half of his law class, and his daddy didn't come home from a hard day's work in the mines and play football with the guys. The NAACP hasn't endorsed him every time he's run....
said Wednesday that five Arab countries "are prepared to help rebuild Gaza, prepared to help transition to a two-state solution... to maintain the security and peace while they’re working out a Paleostinian Authority that’s real and not corrupt."

Biden said he didn’t want to name the five countries "because I don’t want to get them in trouble," but he was likely referring to the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Egypt and Qatar
...an emirate on the east coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It sits on some really productive gas and oil deposits, which produces the highest per capita income in the world. They piss it all away on religion, financing the Moslem Brotherhood and several al-Qaeda affiliates. Home of nutbag holy manYusuf al-Qaradawi...
Those five countries have established a forum in coordination with the US to craft a post-war vision for Gaza aimed at an eventual end to the Israeli-Paleostinian conflict.
Once again the Biden administration has set up a working group to solve a problem involving Israel that excludes Israel.
Netanyahu and his government have long faced criticism over their refusal to make a plan for the management of the Strip after the war.
Possibly it’s just that he doesn’t want to argue about it until the time comes. Also, it’s hard to make plans when nobody knows who on the Gazan side will be alive on site at the end of the war.
Netanyahu has rejected efforts to include the PA in post-war planning, arguing that the more moderate foil to Hamas, which publicly backs a two-state solution, is no different than the Gaza-ruling terror group in that it too refuses to accept Israel’s existence, and promotes hatred of the Jewish state.

The UAE, a prominent and influential Gulf state, is one of few Arab nations with official diplomatic ties to Israel, which it has maintained through the months-long war, although relations appear to have become frayed.

Sources have said that Abu Dhabi’s relationship with Netanyahu has fractured over the military campaign, with Emirati officials now rarely speaking with him.

The UAE has frequently criticized Israel over the war, though it has asserted that diplomatic ties have allowed it to get aid into the Gaza Strip amid the humanitarian crisis.

interview on May 8 that the United States would withhold arms supplies if Israeli forces carried out a threatened assault on the Gaza city of Rafah, given this could endanger the lives of hundreds of thousands of displaced civilians there.

The US has long been by far the largest arms supplier to its closest Middle East ally, followed by Germany — whose strong support for Israel reflects in part atonement for the Nazi Holocaust — and Italia.

Two countries, Canada and the Netherlands, have halted arms shipments to Israel this year over concerns they could be used in ways violating international humanitarian law — causing civilian casualties and destruction of residential areas — in Gaza.

Israel says it does not target civilians and that the operation is focused on eliminating Hamas. It has provided overwhelming evidence that Hamas embeds itself among the civilian population and uses civilian infrastructure to store its weapons.

Following are some details of Israel’s weapons suppliers.

UNITED STATES
The suspended arms delivery to Israel consisted of 1,800 2,000-pound (907-kg) bombs and 1,700 500-pound bombs worth tens of millions of dollars, according to US officials. The decision arose from concerns about the "end-use of the 2,000-pound bombs and the impact they could have in dense urban settings (like Rafah)...," one US official said.

However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
billions of dollars worth of US arms remain in the pipeline for Israel, including tank rounds and kits that convert dumb bombs into precision weapons, although the approval process has slowed, Senator Jim Risch, top Republican on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, said on May 9.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken
...71st United States secretary of state and a leading light of the corrupt and inept Biden administration. He previously served as deputy national security advisor from 2013 to 2015 and deputy secretary of state from 2015 to 2017 under the corrupt and inept Obama administration. He advocated for the 2003 invasion of Iraq while serving as the Democratic staff director of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 2002 to 2008. He was a foreign policy advisor for the Biden 2008 presidential campaign. During his tenure in the Obama administration, Blinken helped craft B.O.'s policy on Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the nuclear program of Iran. We all saw how well each of those worked. After leaving government service, Blinken moved into the private sector, co-founding WestExec Advisors, a lobbying firm...
has stopped short of concluding in a pending, highly critical report to Congress on Israel’s conduct in Gaza that it has violated the terms for its use of US weapons, Axios reported on May 9.

In 2016, the US and Israel signed a third 10-year Memorandum of Understanding covering the 2018-2028 period providing $38 billion in military aid, $33 billion in grants to buy military equipment, and $5 billion for missile defense systems. Israel received 69 percent of its military aid from the US in the 2019-2023 period, according to a March fact sheet issued by the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI).

Israel is the first international operator of the US F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, deemed the most technologically advanced fighter jet ever made, and had taken delivery of 36 of 75 F-35s on order as of last year, paying for them with US assistance.

The US has also helped Israel develop its Iron Dome short-range rocket defense system, developed after the 2006 war between Israel and the Leb

Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. -based Iranian proxy Hezbollah. The US has repeatedly sent Israel hundreds of millions of dollars to help replenish the system’s interceptor missiles.

Washington has helped fund the development of Israel’s "David’s Sling" system, designed to shoot down rockets fired from distances of 100 km to 200 km (62 miles to 124 miles) away.

GERMANY
German defense export approvals for Israel rose nearly tenfold to 326.5 million euros ($351 million) in 2023 compared with 2022 as Berlin treated permit requests as a priority after Hamas’s October 7 massacre.

However,
we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by...
since the start of this year, as international criticism of Israel’s war in Gaza mounted, the German government appears to have approved considerably fewer exports of war weapons to Israel. Deliveries worth just 32,449 euros have so far been allowed, the economics ministry said on April 10 in response to a query in parliament from a left-wing politician.

Germany primarily supplies Israel with components for air defense systems and communications equipment, according to the German press agency dpa, which first reported the 2023 figures.

Weapons exported included 3,000 portable anti-tank weapons and 500,000 rounds of ammunition for automatic or semi-automatic firearms. Germany provided about 30% of Israel’s military aid in 2019-23, according to SIPRI figures.

ITALY
A Foreign Ministry source confirmed on May 9 that Italia had halted new export approvals since the start of the Gazoo war. "Everything stopped. And the last orders were delivered in November," the source told Rooters.

Under Italian law, arms exports are banned to countries that are waging war and those deemed to be violating international human rights
When they're defined by the state or an NGO they don't mean much...
In March, Defense Minister Guido Crosetto had said Italia has continued to export arms to Israel but that only previously signed orders were being honored after checks had been made to ensure the weaponry would not be used against Gaza civilians.

In December alone, Italia sent 1.3 million euros worth of arms to Israel, triple the level of the same month in 2022.

Italia provided 0.9% of Israel’s imported arms in 2019-23, according to SIPRI’s report, reportedly including helicopters and naval artillery.

BRITAIN
Britannia is not one of Israel’s biggest suppliers. Unlike the US, Britannia’s government does not give arms directly to Israel but rather licenses companies to sell — often components into US supply chains, such as for F-35 jets.

Last year, Britannia granted export licenses to sell at least 42 million pounds ($52.5 million) of defense equipment to Israel — mainly munitions, unmanned air vehicles, small arms ammunition, and components for aircraft, helicopters and assault rifles.

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak told parliament on Thursday that Britannia ran one of the world’s strictest licensing control regimes in which it periodically reviewed advice on Israel’s commitment to humanitarian law. "With regard to export licenses, following the most recent assessment, it is unchanged," he said.

Some left-wing opposition parties have called on the government to revoke the export licenses in the face of Gaza’s soaring corpse count and to publish the legal advice used to reach the assessment that arms exports could continue.

#1  I encourage Israel to make a deal with Russia, or N Korea (or pick some unpalatable-to-US country). They get the promise of new tech, Israel gets to shove their thumbs into Biden's eyes up to the elbow. It will never come to a tech transfer, but Israel has options.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Iranian drone site used by IRGC, terror proxies exposed by opposition group
[FoxNews] The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (MEK), an exiled Iranian resistance group, provided a report to Fox News Digital presenting evidence of a top-secret unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) site in the Islamic Republic of Iran, north of Qom City in the Ganjine region.

According to the report, members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) are trained to use "all kinds of drones" at the base, including the Mohajer series, manufactured by Qods Aviation Industry. Employees of Qods Aviation Industry also reportedly use the site to train small groups of Iranian proxy operatives of Hezbollah, as well as members of Iranian proxy groups from Syria, Yemen and Iraq, to use the Mohajer-4 drone platform.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), based on information from the MEK, told Fox News Digital that the site is a proving ground for Mohajer-4, Mohajer-6, and Mohajer-10 drones.

Alireza Jafarzadeh, deputy director of NCRI's Washington, D.C., office, told Fox News Digital that "seven months into the regional conflict, it has become evident that the regime in Tehran is the proverbial ‘head of the snake’ of belligerence and terror export in the Middle East. As such, Western governments must exercise firmness instead of accommodation and engagement in dealing with Tehran and hold it to account for its malign activities."

Qods Aviation Industry is listed on the Treasury Department’s Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List, as is its new moniker, Light Airplanes Design and Manufacturing Industries.

The newest drone in its arsenal, the Mohajer-10, can carry a payload of 300 kilograms for a range of 2,000 kilometers, according to Breaking Defense. Released in August 2023, the drone has a 450-liter fuel tank and can stay airborne for 24 hours. In a photo of the new drone shared on an Iranian television station, text in both Hebrew and Persian advised viewers to "prepare your shelters," Reuters reported.

Brett Velicovich, a U.S. Army veteran and author of "Drone Warrior: An Elite Soldier's Inside Account of the Hunt for America's Most Dangerous Enemies," said that the schematics for deadly Mohajer- and Shahed-series drones are being exported to Iranian proxies around the world. "One or two guys can launch one of these drones from the middle of a field…and they have the capability to conduct just as powerful a strike as major nation states could before," Velicovich said.

Velicovich added this allows Iran to "sow chaos and discord" while also "having plausible deniability." He claims the regime "want to use these long-range drone systems to show that they somehow have control over the Middle East and the region."
