US podcasters host antisemitic influencers after backlash over Netanyahu interview
[IsraelTimes] In apparent attempt at damage control, Nelk Boys stream talk with conspiracy theorists, one of whom denies October 7 atrocities, falsely claims IDF responsible for most deaths

Pro-Trump US podcasters the Nelk Boys streamed conversations Monday with several antisemitic influencers after the release of their interview with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in an apparent attempt to limit the criticism they received for hosting the Israeli leader.

The one-hour interview with Netanyahu on "The Full Send Podcast," hosted by Kyle Forgeard and Aaron Steinberg, known as the Nelk Boys, was recorded on July 8 during the prime minister’s visit to Washington and released Monday. Commenters on the podcast the hosts for hosting the prime minister amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
, and not asking Netanyahu tough questions on the matter.

"0 pushback you literally just let a war criminal talk freely for an hour to millions of fans just horrible horrible, you guys are truly," one viewer commented.

"I’m so happy the comment section knows how vicious and evil this man is. I can’t believe Kyle is humanizing this man. Speechless, I am at a loss for words," another wrote.

Shortly after, the Nelk Boys began live streaming with influencers Sneako, Myron Gaines, Hasan Piker, and Nick Fuentes — all known for circulating antisemitic and anti-Israel conspiracies — who offered commentary on the interview.

Sneako, who has been banned from YouTube and Twitch for antisemitic remarks, said "Trump is basically owned by Netanyahu" because the US president pulled out a chair for Netanyahu at their meeting earlier this month.

"How do you put America first if you send $4 billion to Israel every year?" Sneako asked the hosts, to which they responded that they agreed that Netanyahu’s behavior was making it harder for Americans to support Israel.

Myron Gaines claimed Netanyahu "lied about a bunch of shit" in the interview and falsely claimed, "a lot of the shit that happened on October 7 was a lie," referring to the 2023 Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
massacre that sparked the ongoing war in Gaza.

Gaines denied the occurrence of mass rapes during the massacre, and also claimed that Hamas’s goal of the invasion was to capture as many hostages to exchange for prisoners, instead of mass killings, adding, "a lot of the innocent people that were killed were killed by the IDF" in an attempt to prevent Hamas from taking more captives.

The ongoing war in Gaza was sparked when Hamas-led Lions of Islam rampaged through southern Israeli communities, murdering some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and taking 251 hostages while committing and filming their numerous atrocities.

Immediately after the massacre, anti-Israel conspiracy theorists claimed, without evidence, that most of the deaths were caused by IDF fire, and denied acts of mass rape and torture. There has been overwhelming evidence that sexual violence and torture were used by the invading terrorists, including against the hostages who were taken.

Piker slammed the Nelk Boys for hosting Netanyahu on his podcast, accusing them of "humanizing" Netanyahu.

"But that’s the thing, we’ll have anyone on. Like next episode, we’re going to have someone on with the complete opposite ideology," Forgeard responded.

Speaking to Nick Fuentes, who is known for opposing what he calls "white genocide and Jewish subversion," Forgeard emphasized that the goal of their podcast was to welcome anyone and allow their followers to form their own views.

"We’re getting a lot of flak. People don’t care what we ask Netanyahu. Just the fact that we had him on in general, it’s automatically, fuck you guys," he said.

"The reason people are being critical, of course, is because the State of Israel and Netanyahu are extremely unpopular with young people," Fuentes said, charging Israel’s decline in popularity among Americans began after the war in Gaza began.

Fuentes said that while he, too, was a controversial figure, "Netanyahu, on the other hand, is currently prosecuting a war, and has been prosecuting a war for 20 years," and accused the prime minister of carrying out "ethnic cleansing" of Paleostinians.

Israel has denied accusations of ethnic cleansing and genocide in Gaza, saying it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stressing that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas including homes, hospitals, schools, and mosques.

During the podcast, Netanyahu was asked by Steinberg: "I think you definitely have a tough job, but why do you think you’re so hated worldwide?"

"Well, a lot of propaganda. First of all, I’m not hated worldwide," Netanyahu answered. "I just received this. I just talked to someone, a rabbi, and he says, he just heard from his brother who was in Europa
...the land mass occupying the space between the English Channel and the Urals, also known as Moslem Lebensraum...
and one of the countries of Europe. He says that he’s being flooded. They know he’s from Israel."

"All the people are coming, and they say, you did this amazing thing for all of us. The Chancellor of Germany said Israel did the work for all of us. The new Chancellor of Germany," he said, referring to German Chancellor Friedrich Merz’s comments that Israel did the world’s "dirty work" by striking Iran’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs last month.

"So we had the guts to do this," he said. "And what Israel did with President Trump is safeguard free societies from a menace."

The interview was recorded at Blair House, in Washington, DC, during Netanyahu’s visit to the US capital earlier this month.

The Nelk Boys visited Israel in 2023.

US slaps Yemen’s Houthis with fresh sanctions targeting smuggling network
[IsraelTimes] Measure aims to cut off key sources of revenue for the Iran-backed terror group, which regularly fires missiles and drones at Israel

The United States on Tuesday imposed sanctions on what it said was a Iran's Houthi sock puppets
...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him...
-linked petroleum smuggling and sanctions evasion network across Yemen
...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of...
and the United Arab Emirates, its latest action targeting the Iran-backed terror group that fires missiles at Israel.

In a statement, the US Treasury Department said the two individuals and five entities sanctioned on Tuesday were among the most significant importers of petroleum products and money launderers benefiting the Houthis, to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars per year.

"The Houthis collaborate with opportunistic businessmen to reap enormous profits from the importation of petroleum products and to enable the group’s access to the international financial system," said Deputy Secretary of the Treasury Michael Faulkender.

"These networks of shady businesses underpin the Houthis’ terrorist machine, and Treasury will use all tools at its disposal to disrupt these schemes," he said.

The US Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Assets Control has repeatedly slapped sanctions on the Houthis over the past year.

Germany's Merz Faces Pressure To Toughen Stance On Israel
[MSN] German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is under pressure to take a firmer stance on Israel, with members of his own coalition calling for Berlin to join a statement by dozens of Western nations condemning the "inhumane killing" of Palestinians.

Merz, who leads Germany's centre-right CDU, has been increasingly critical of Israel. But Germany was notably absent from the joint statement issued on Monday by the EU Crisis Management Commissioner and 28 Western countries, including Britain and France, that called on Israel to immediately end the war.

The countries condemned what they called the "drip feeding of aid" to Palestinians in Gaza and said it was "horrifying" that more than 800 civilians had been killed while seeking aid.
It would be horrifying if the number Hamas claims were true. It is horrifying because it’s Hamas that is deliberately murdering the people it has ruled with an iron hand, merely because it’s furious at being cut off from a major source of funds.
Reem Alabali Radovan,
…born in the Soviet Union, brought as a child to Germany for asylum by her Iraqi parents, she is only some of what is wrong with the system Germany has used for a generation or more…
international development minister in Merz's cabinet and a member of the centre-left SPD junior coalition partners, said on Tuesday she was unhappy with Germany's decision not to sign it.

"The demands in the letter from the 29 partners to the Israeli government are understandable to me. I would have wished for Germany to join the signal sent by the 29 partners," she said.
No doubt.
Merz said late on Tuesday that the European Council had already issued a joint declaration that was "practically identical in content to what is expressed in the letter".

The council's June statement did deplore the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza but was not as emotionally charged and bluntly critical of Israel - nor did it condemn the Israeli scheme to move Palestinians to a so-called "humanitarian city" announced earlier this month.

"I was one of the first to say very clearly — even in Germany — that the situation there is no longer acceptable," Merz said, denying any divisions within his coalition on this issue.
Yes, yes, you have stood firmly on all sides of the issue. Congratulations.
On Monday, he said he spoke on Friday with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and told him "very clearly and very explicitly that we do not share the Israeli government’s policy on Gaza".
…adding, “Bibi insists on acting to preserve Israel’s existence. We strongly disagree — on the highest moral grounds — with his choices.”
But the decision to withhold Germany's signature from the declaration follows many months in which Germany has taken particular care in public to restrain its criticism of Israeli actions.

German officials say their approach to Israel is governed by a special responsibility, known as the Staatsraison, arising from the legacy of the Nazi Holocaust.
About that…
They believe they can achieve more through diplomatic back channels than public statements.

Merz is one of the few European leaders who has publicly offered to host Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, without arresting him on a warrant for suspected war crimes issued by the International Criminal Court in the Hague.

Israel rejects the charges against Netanyahu and says they are politically motivated. The ICC says all signatories of the court's founding statute, which include all 27 EU members, are obliged to arrest Netanyahu if he enters their territory.

Critics of Merz's approach, including within the SPD coalition partners, say the legacy of the Holocaust cannot be an excuse for ignoring Israeli crimes, and, on the contrary, the post-Holocaust motto of "never again" should apply to Gaza now.
Precisely why Israel is acting as it is, following the worst massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.
“The situation in Gaza is catastrophic and represents a humanitarian abyss," said a joint statement by two senior SPD lawmakers - foreign policy spokesperson Adis Ahmetovic and rapporteur for the Middle East Rolf Mützenich - who called for Berlin to join the joint declaration.

There should be "clear and immediate consequences" for Israel, including the suspension of a pact governing EU-Israeli relations and a halt to the export of weapons to Israel that are used in violation of international law, they said.
I lack the proper vocabulary to properly address this.

The Grand Turk
'My Nation Has Won': Erdogan Calls for Pan-Ottoman Solidarity
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Kamran Gasanov

[REGNUM] Never before has Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan felt as confident as he does today.

At various points during his premiership and presidency, he was threatened by a US- and EU-sponsored “velvet revolution,” a military coup supported by Fethullah Gülen, and risked losing parliamentary and presidential elections to the heirs of Ataturk’s party.

And throughout his twenty-year rule, he fought separatists from the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), both in Turkey and in neighboring Iraq and Syria.

The "velvet revolutions" in Gezi Park failed, and Donald Trump stopped funding their breeding ground, USAID (an organization recognized as undesirable in the Russian Federation). Erdogan reined in the military, jailed the Gulenists, and Gulen himself passed away last October. The AKP and Erdogan were able to win the parliamentary and presidential elections by hook or by crook (although they lost the municipal elections).

Of the unresolved issues, two remained: opposition leader and Istanbul mayor Ekrem Imamoglu and the PKK.

In terms of danger, Imamoglu probably stood much higher. After all, if any means can be used against the PKK, then elections in a still democratic country cannot be cancelled.

But to one degree or another, an antidote was found in both cases.

The Kurdistan Workers' Party has weakened significantly in recent years. Following Turkey's military operations in northern Iraq and Syria against the PKK and YPG, the change of power in Damascus to the pro-Turkish Ahmed al-Sharaa, and the establishment of close relations with Baghdad, the Kurdish militants have weakened significantly.

In October 2023 and 2024, they reminded everyone of their presence by carrying out terrorist attacks at the Interior Ministry building and at the headquarters of the TUSAŞ aerospace company near Ankara. But the party's leader, Abdullah Öcalan, realized the futility of nearly half a century of violent resistance. And in May 2025, he called on his supporters to lay down their arms.

A new stage in this process was the beginning of the real disarmament of the PKK. On July 11, in Iraqi Kurdistan, in the province of Sulaymaniyah, the first group of 30 PKK militants surrendered their weapons. The disarmament procedure, according to the Turkish newspaper Yeni Şafak, will take place “without cameras” and should be completed by September.

According to the agreement between Ankara and the PKK, the leadership of the Kurdish movement (about 250 people) will not have the right to live in the areas of Iraq and Syria bordering Turkey, but they can leave for third countries.

The Turkish President could not help but take advantage of the opportunity to celebrate his latest victory: "Turkey has won, my nation has won. Each of our 86 million citizens - Turks, Kurds and Arabs - has won." This address is not accidental.

Erdogan does not want to give the impression that he has broken the back of Kurdish separatism. He is separating the concepts of "terrorist" and "Kurd" to avoid giving rise to new insurgent movements in the future and to gain support from the 30 million-strong Kurdish diaspora in his fight for the next elections.

This is not the first time that Erdogan has resorted to pan-Turkish (Ottoman) solidarity.

Immediately after Ocalan's decision to disband the PKK, he said that the battles of Manzikert (Malazgirt) against the Byzantines (1071) and Çaldiran (1514) were "a common victory for the Turks, Kurds and Arabs."

In allied Azerbaijan they tactfully kept silent, but were clearly not happy to hear from Erdogan that he was proud of the blow to the Safavid Empire at the hands of the Kurds.

The most curious thing about the process of reconciliation with the Kurds is that the trigger here is the AKP's ally in the coalition, the leader of the nationalist MHP, Devlet Bahçeli. It was he who, even before the start of the dialogue with Öcalan, in October, suggested that he speak in the Turkish parliament and disband his group. And a couple of months ago, he came up with something even more sensational. "The president should have two vice presidents - one Kurd, the other Alevi," he said at a closed meeting with deputies.

The second piece of news that marks Erdogan’s victory in domestic politics came in the same days as the beginning of the PKK’s disarmament. On July 16, Ekrem Imamoglu was sentenced to more than a year and a half in prison for “publicly insulting a public servant.”

Imamoglu did indeed question the integrity of prosecutor Akin Gürlek, but it is clear that this is just a pretext. The verdict is a new stage in the case of the mayor of Istanbul, who was arrested in March and is the president’s main rival for power, whether in the snap elections or in the planned ones in 2028.

The timing of the verdict was very opportune. The protests in Turkey have already died down, the major international players, mainly European ones, have either stopped talking about them or are talking in hushed tones. Erdogan probably expects that in a year and eight months, Imamoglu will be completely forgotten, and he will be able to hold early elections and win them.

If Erdogan fails to get into “best shape,” then he can wait another three years and, if necessary, promote a successor during this time — for example, the young but experienced Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan. Imamoglu’s release will not be an obstacle — new grounds for new criminal cases can be found at any time.

The process of dismantling the PKK looks more promising and irreversible. But the arrest of Imamoglu does not eliminate the threat from the opposition Republican People's Party (CHP). So the fight against it is still ahead and it is still dangerous, even without a strong leader at the helm.

Nevertheless, in the short term of a year or two, the Turkish president can be calm about his rear and concentrate on foreign policy. He is already doing this, his confidence is growing every day, and there are enough reasons for it.

Trump takes Erdogan seriously, listens to his opinion on Middle East affairs, sometimes risking his friendship with Israel. The latest escalation in Syria has largely been stopped thanks to the coordination of the State Department and Ankara.

The European Union is keeping its offer of Turkey's participation in European defense and the military-industrial complex on the table. In June, Turkish drone manufacturer Baykar and Italy's Leonardo formed a joint venture, LBA Systems, to produce UAVs. Recognizing Europe's growing dependence, Erdogan has demanded that Turkey's European integration be accelerated.

Ankara has its finger on the pulse of the Ukrainian conflict and is already getting involved in the negotiations on Iran. On July 23, a new round of talks between Russia and Ukraine will take place in Istanbul, and in two days the heads of the foreign ministries of the "European three" and Iran will gather there to discuss the Iranian nuclear program.

Democratic Party’s youth wing backs motion decrying Israel’s ‘ongoing genocide in Gaza’
The Corbynization of the Democratic Party is just about complete.
[IsraelTimes] Young Democrats of America also okay amendment supporting student demonstrations ‘against US complicity’ in Israel’s war with Hamas

The Young Democrats
...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects...
of America, the youth wing of the Democratic Party, has passed an amendment to its foreign policy plank opposing the "Israeli government’s ongoing genocide in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks.
The amendment, which passed narrowly at the organization’s convention in Philadelphia last week, also expresses opposition to the Israeli government’s "occupation of the West Bank, and its denial of civil and political rights on an equal basis in the territories it militarily occupies," according to an updated foreign policy plank reviewed by Jewish Insider.

The changes to the organization’s foreign policy stances underscore a sharp decline in the perception of Israel across the Democratic Party as Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza wages on after more than 21 months since the Hamas
..the braying voice of Islamic Resistance®,...
-led October 7, 2023, attack that started the conflict.

Last month, a poll released by Quinnipiac University found that among Democrats, 12% said that their sympathies lay more with Israelis, while 60% sympathized more with Paleostinians. In February, a Gallup poll found that just 33% of Democrats have a favorable view of Israel overall

The Young Democrats of America added the word "genocide" to an existing amendment which outlined its policy stances for the years 2023 to 2025. It was proposed to "reflect current events and align with present-day actions," according to a platform committee document from the convention obtained by Jewish Insider.

Using the term "genocide" to describe Israel’s ongoing offensive in Gaza has become a lightning rod for discussions surrounding the war. Israel and its supporters vehemently deny the characterization, but as the corpse count mounts in Gaza and killings at aid distribution sites have been reported on a near-daily basis, some of Israel’s supporters are beginning to use the term, as are a number of scholars of genocide.

At the biennial convention last week, YDA also approved a resolution that voiced support for student protests "against US complicity" in what it called the "Israeli government’s genocidal actions in Gaza," according to a document shared with Jewish Insider.

Last year, some Jewish caucus members criticized the group’s denunciation of former US president Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. This Is A Man That Does Not Seem Demented...
after he gave an address condemning violence at pro-Paleostinian campus protests.

But despite the organization’s condemnation of Israel’s ongoing war in Gaza, some efforts to amend YDA’s Middle East policy plank failed to pass, including an effort to strike a line that endorsed Israel’s "right to exist as a Jewish democratic state," according to Jewish Insider.

Some delegates also proposed removing language that condemned "the oppression of the Iranian government" and backing "anti-regime protests," which was met by alarm by Jewish members following Israel’s ceasefire with Iran, according to Jewish Insider.

While those proposals failed to pass, one member of YDA’s Jewish caucus told Jewish Insider that the fact they were suggested "presents a scary reality."

#3  Here again, Democrats are using words like genocide incorrectly with the intention to deceive. It would be generous to call this misuse of words hyperbole or exaggeration but I believe it's actually a form of lying.

Israel is merely finishing a war that Hamas started. Hamas could easily end the war by disarming and surrendering unconditionally. But they are mad men who are willing to become martyrs and they don't care if their own families, women and children, are subject to collateral damage and the type of living conditions that come with losing a war that they never should have started in the first place.

This is exactly the same tactic Democrats use when they incorrectly use the word immigrant instead of illegal alien. They could say "illegal immigrant" but they always avoid that distinction. They want people to believe that their so-called immigrants did not enter our country illegally.

The intent is to deceive because Democrats would never get any votes if people understood what they really want.

State Department: US to withdraw from UNESCO in 2027 due to organization's 'bias'
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] The United States has decided to withdraw from UNESCO in 2027. This was reported on July 22 by the press service of the State Department.

“Withdrawal from UNESCO will take place on December 31, 2026,” the statement said.

The department clarified that membership in the organization does not meet the national interests of the United States and contradicts the country's foreign policy principles of "America First."

The State Department added that UNESCO's admission of Palestine as a member state raises serious questions and contributes to the spread of anti-Israeli rhetoric within the organization.

As reported by Regnum News Agency, on June 2, Trump proposed suspending most mandatory and all voluntary contributions to UN agencies, including the World Health Organization (WHO) and UNESCO, in his draft federal budget for the 2026 fiscal year.

In January, the American leader signed an executive order to withdraw the United States from the WHO. He pointed out that the United States pays $500 million in contributions to the organization each year, while China, which has a population four times larger, pays only $39 million. The president called this situation unfair and cited it as a reason for leaving the organization.
The Times of Israel has considerably more here.

’s deputy, Hussein al-Sheikh, penned a letter to EU foreign ministers earlier this month requesting that they press the Israeli government to release roughly NIS 8 billion ($2.4 billion) in customs duties and other tax funds that belong to the PA, the two sources said.

In addition, the PA is considering extreme measures of its own to try and influence Israel, including halting security cooperation and even declaring a state of emergency in the West Bank, according to the sources.

The PA has periodically threatened to sever security coordination with Israel — which the IDF has long credited for helping maintain stability in the West Bank — and has followed through for brief periods of time, including in early 2023. But the step also risks harming the PA’s own standing in the territory by allowing the rise of rival Paleostinian factions.

In addition, though a state of emergency in the West Bank could help bring international attention to the PA’s dire financial state — while limiting spending to an absolute minimum — the roll-back of public services could also backfire on the PA by sparking protests throughout the territory that it might not be able to contain.

The PA is also considering appealing to various international organizations to hold Israel accountable for the withheld funds or to unilaterally advance its independence, but those steps have done little to date to convince Israel to reverse policies aimed at scuttle chances for a two-state solution.

Due to the PA’s sub-state status, the Oslo Accords stipulate that Israel collect clearance revenues on the authority’s behalf and transfer those funds on a monthly basis to Ramallah. The PA is heavily reliant on the funds, which make up a majority of its annual budget.

In recent years, Israel has deducted large sums from the monthly transfers, saying they are equivalent to the funds that the PA had been sending to the families of Paleostinian security prisoners and those killed carrying out attacks against Israelis — a policy that Abbas instructed be terminated earlier this year.

Since the outbreak of the Gazoo

war in October 2023, Israel has been deducting an additional portion that amounts to the funds that the PA uses to pay for services and the salaries of its employees in Gaza.

Those deductions and others have caused the withheld funds to balloon to over $2 billion.

That is largely due to the fact that since May, the Israeli transfers have stopped entirely — part of a package of steps taken by Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich that, according to an Israeli official, were aimed at punishing the PA for a decision made by the United Kingdom to sanction him and fellow far-right minister Itamar Ben Gvir. Roughly NIS 900 million ($270 million) have been withheld since May alone.

Smotrich also directed his office to waive the indemnity that Israeli banks have been given to correspond with Paleostinian banks. The cabinet has yet to finalize the move, which would likely cripple the economy in the West Bank where the overwhelming majority of exchanges are in shekels.

Smotrich has long been a proponent of collapsing the PA so that Israel can annex the West Bank without granting equal rights to the Paleostinians who live there.

During a meeting last week in Brussels, EU foreign ministers raised their alarm over the withheld funds with Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, the EU diplomat and the Paleostinian official said.

Sa’ar in turn indicated that the issue was out of his control and that the ministers should reach out to Smotrich, who signs off on the monthly transfer of clearance revenues to the PA. Many Western governments however have refused to meet Smotrich, believing that to do so would legitimize his policies against Paleostinians.

Smotrich has withheld transfers of PA funds for months at a time in the past before eventually acquiescing in exchange for various concessions. Last year, he agreed to extend the indemnity for Israeli banks to correspond with Paleostinian ones, claiming that in exchange, he had received assurances from former US president Joe The Big Guy Biden
...46th president of the U.S. Former Senator-for-Life from Delaware, an example of the kind of top-notch Washington intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body....
’s administration that it wouldn’t allow a Security Council resolution against Israel to pass before the end of the term.

During Biden’s tenure, the US led the international effort to coax Israel to release PA funds when they were periodically withheld by Smotrich.

But the current American administration led by US President Donald Trump
...Oh, noze! Not him!...
has shown far less interest in the issue, leaving the EU — whose members collectively are the largest donor to Ramallah — to pick up the gauntlet.

Two months ago, the PA invited the US to send a delegation to verify that it is indeed implementing a reform to what critics dubbed as the "pay-to-slay" system. Abbas signed a decree in February cancelling legislation that conditioned payments to security prisoners on the length of their sentence.

The US has yet to send any officials to conduct the certification process, and Israeli officials maintain that the old PA welfare system remains in place.

HUCKABEE GOES TO RAMALLAH
But in a potential shift in the Trump administration’s approach to the PA, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee met on Tuesday with Abbas’s deputy Hussein al-Sheikh in Ramallah. It was the first-ever meeting between the pair.

During Trump’s first term, the PA refused to meet with his ambassador to Israel David Friedman, who is an ardent supporter of Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

Huckabee holds similar views, and the decision to meet him pointed to a change of circumstances in Ramallah since Trump’s first term, when the PA adopted a more dogmatic approach to its ties with the US after a brief honeymoon period.

In addition to Israel’s withholding of clearance revenues, the West Bank economy has plummeted to alarming levels due to Israel’s withholding of entry permits for over 100,000 Paleostinians who worked in Israel and its settlements before Hamas
..not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,...
’s October 2023 attack triggered the ongoing Gaza war.

The relatively higher salaries that those workers received was an important boon for the Paleostinian economy, which has been further hampered by mushrooming Israeli checkpoints throughout the West Bank that have negatively impacted commerce.

Additionally, Israeli limits on the banking sector have plunged the West Bank into a liquidity crisis, with Paleostinian banks unable to offload excess shekels.

With its head barely above water, the PA appears resigned to meet with anyone it can in the Trump administration to recruit its help in securing funds from Israel.

Sheikh tweeted Tuesday that he and Huckabee discussed efforts to end the ongoing Gaza war — notably highlighting the need to release the Israeli hostages — in addition to urgently delivering humanitarian aid to the enclave amid mounting reports of deaths due to complications from malnutrition.

The pair also discussed the West Bank economic crisis, the PA’s financial crisis as well as rampant, unchecked settler violence in the West Bank, the senior Paleostinian official said. "Ways to strengthen bilateral relations were explored as well as the importance of the American role in achieving stability, security, and peace in the region."

Last week, PA Prime Minister Mohammad Musfafa held what was characterized as an emergency cabinet meeting to discuss steps that Ramallah could take to address the Israeli-spurred financial crisis.

While PA officials had weighed announcing more far-reaching steps, they faced pressure from Arab countries in the region, including Saudi Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula, largely made up of sand and oil rigs. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual haj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. Formerly dictatorial and steeped in Olde Tyme Religion, deferring to Salafist holy men on all issues, it has now done a 180 and is making a serious effort to modernize, so as not to be left in the sand by its Gulf Arab neighbors. The holy men have been shoved to the background and the nation is now still dictatorial but somewhat rational. That doesn't make them trustworthy, but it's a start...
, to hold off in the hope that Israel would release at least the $270 million withheld since May by the end of last week, the EU diplomat and Paleostinian official said.

But Smotrich has yet to budge, and his office did not respond to repeated requests for comment.

Meanwhile,
...back at the dirigible, Cynthia backed into the galley, the barbecue fork held in front of her.
Jack! she called. Where the hell are you?...

the EU’s foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas warned Tuesday that "all options remain on the table if Israel doesn’t deliver on its pledges" to increase the amount of humanitarian aid entering Gaza.

The Paleostinian official, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
, expressed his hope that the EU would also tie its decision on Israel sanctions to whether Smotrich agrees to release the PA’s clearance revenues.

A spokesperson for Kallas said they were looking into the matter but did not reply by the time this story was published.

Lamenting the current political dynamics in Jerusalem, the EU diplomat said that there was no "responsible adult" in the Israeli government willing to rein in Smotrich.

"[Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu has not intervened because the US hasn’t asked him to," the diplomat said.

Israel denies Gaza famine claims, says aid is entering Strip but not being distributed
[IsraelTimes] 950 aid trucks waiting on Gaza side of border, COGAT says, blaming UN bottleneck; offical says ‘we have not identified starvation,’ Hamas exploiting humanitarian situation to pressure hostage talks

Strip in recent days, a senior Israeli security official said Tuesday that the military had not identified famine, while stressing that actions need to be taken to "stabilize the humanitarian situation."

The official, speaking with news hounds on condition of anonymity, acknowledged that recently there has been a significant drop in the amount of aid reaching Paleostinians in the Strip, but blamed United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
bodies for not collecting and distributing the food and supplies.

The Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT), the Israeli military and Defense Ministry body responsible for coordinating aid deliveries to Gaza, said that some 950 trucks worth of supplies are waiting to be collected by the UN from the Paleostinian side of the Kerem Shalom and Zikim crossings.

The official said that, on its own, the aid currently waiting at the crossings for collection was enough to supply the Strip’s food needs for two and a half weeks.

"We have not identified starvation at this current point in time, but we understand that action is required to stabilize the humanitarian situation," the official said, adding that there may be difficulties with accessibility to food in some areas, which he said was an issue that needs to be solved.

The determination came following a "deep assessment" of the humanitarian situation in Gaza held by COGAT, he said.

The official said that COGAT had sat down with UN officials to try and work out the deliveries of the mounting aid that has been allowed into Gaza but not distributed.

According to the official, there were no issues with the aid reaching the crossings and entering Gaza, but the main bottleneck was the distribution itself. During the recent meetings, the official said it was agreed that the UN would distribute 70-80 trucks on Tuesday, but in practice, only 30 were taken in.

The UN has repeatedly claimed that COGAT has refused its requests for collection and distribution authorization, and that dangerous and complex conditions inside Gaza made aid distribution very difficult.

According to the UN, Israel’s restrictions and permit rejections are the reason for the mounting stockpiles of aid at the crossings, as aid organizations are regularly barred from transferring aid to warehouses and distribution sites. Convoys that don’t coordinate their travel with Israeli authorities and do not have hard-to-obtain approvals come under deadly IDF fire.

The official said that the UN has made requests that COGAT cannot agree to concerning the deliveries, such as demanding that Hamas police escort the convoys, or that they be allowed to bring in communication devices that Israel fears could end up in the terror group’s hands.

Regarding the famine claims, the official said that Hamas was taking advantage of the humanitarian situation in Gaza and carrying out a propaganda campaign as part of a pressure tactic amid the ongoing hostage negotiations. "This is a cynical and timed move aimed at creating international pressure on Israel," the official said.

Hamas’s health ministry on Tuesday said that hospitals in Gaza had recorded 15 deaths, including four children, "due to famine and malnutrition" in the previous 24 hours, adding that it brought the total number of cases since the beginning of the war to 101, "including 80 children."

The official said Israel can determine that there is no widespread famine in Gaza based on how much aid was reaching Gazooks, saying, "We know the calorie value of each truck that enters, and how many people it is enough for." The official said COGAT had also spoken with Paleostinians involved in distributing the aid, and obtained other intelligence indicating there is no famine.

In the past two months, some 4,500 trucks of aid have entered Gaza, according to COGAT. Half of those trucks have headed to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation aid distribution sites, and the other half were taken to warehouses belonging to the UN and other approved aid organizations. In the past month, an average of 71 trucks entered Gaza each day, COGAT said.

Still, the official said that nearly all of the aid trucks heading to the aid organization warehouses were looted by Gazook mobs, not Hamas.

Since the resumption of aid deliveries to Gaza on May 19, after a pause that started on March 2, Israel has established a new mechanism to prevent aid trucks from being taken over by Hamas, the official said.

The mechanism only allows for international aid bodies that are registered with Israel’s Diaspora Affairs Ministry to bring aid into Gaza, after rigorous security checks at the border crossings. The mechanism also places sanctions on aid groups and individuals who do not abide by Israel’s requirements.

The official said Hamas was trying to do everything it could to undermine the new aid mechanism, including the GHF distribution sites. International organizations have said that Israel’s refusal to name a viable governing alternative to Hamas has created a chaotic and desperate situation on the ground that has significantly marred aid distribution.

The US- and Israel-backed GHF system, which has been delivering aid in Gaza over the past two months under a mechanism aimed at diverting Hamas theft, has been plagued with problems.

The United Nations said Tuesday that more than 1,000 Paleostinians have been killed by Israeli forces while trying to access food in Gaza since the GHF started aid distribution operations, apparently citing Hamas figures.

Israel has admitted to firing shots toward crowds of Paleostinians approaching troops, but claims casualty figures are inflated, without presenting alternative tolls.

In addition to near-daily deadly shootings, it has forced Paleostinians to walk long distances while crossing IDF lines to pick up aid. The GHF has also not been vetting the thousands of aid recipients picking up boxes of food, due to the utterly chaotic situation at distribution sites, so there is no way to confirm the humanitarian assistance is reaching its intended recipients. Hamas has come out strongly against the GHF, warning civilians not to cooperate with the organization.

On Monday, over two dozen Western countries called for Israel to immediately end the war in Gaza and criticized what they described as "inhumane killing" of Paleostinians, saying it was "horrifying" that civilians were being killed while seeking aid.

A billion for 'Maidan'. Mass protests in Israel were paid for by Americans
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
by Leonid Tsukanov

[REGNUM] American auditors from the House Judiciary Committee have published the results of a preliminary investigation into the financial activities of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID, recognized as an undesirable organization in Russia)
…and in America, too, thanks to President Trump and Elon Musk’s DOGE…
during the Joe Biden administration. The published data has caused a real scandal.
Most decidedly a scandal. Mr. Tsukanov gives us more names.
As a result of the audit, a number of Israeli non-profit organizations were accused of destabilizing the situation in the Jewish state. And with the money of American taxpayers.

These accusations could well cost the Israeli opposition its seats in the upcoming elections, especially if it turns out that much of their “popular support” was orchestrated.

However, Tel Aviv is currently focused on other threats. But they also come from non-profit organizations.

"UNDERMINING" UNDER THE PREMIERE
The investigation, initiated by the House Judiciary and Foreign Affairs Committees, began in March and was part of Donald Trump's campaign to audit USAID.

A review of 380 financial statements found that six non-profit organizations (NPOs) registered in Israel or indirectly affiliated with it were involved in the accumulation and redistribution of government loans and grants.

The money was then used to finance destabilizing actions in the Jewish state. In addition to USAID, funds were allocated from the Ministry of Labor, the Ministry of Agriculture,
…not what we actually call them, but a reasonable translation from the Russian style…
the State Department, and the Pentagon and “transited” to smaller NGOs involved in solving “democratic problems” in various parts of Israel.

One of the central links in the shadow scheme, according to the auditors' findings, is PEF Israel Endowment Funds, which served as the main channel for collecting and distributing donations to Israeli NGOs in the United States.

Other heavyweights of non-profit activity were implicated in the scandal: Blue White Future, which promotes the idea of peaceful coexistence between Israel and Palestine, the consulting company Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, the public funds Jewish Communal Fund and Middle East Peace Dialogue Network, as well as the youth movement Movement for Quality Government in Israel, which is considered a “forge of civil activists” working in the interests of Israel.
A certain sector of Israel, though definitely not the whole.
Auditors calculated that about a billion dollars were spent on destabilizing and undermining the Israeli government under various pretexts. Of this, more than 850 million went to funding groups that stirred up protests against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his supporters, both on the “corruption” line and in the context of the conflict in the Gaza Strip. The rest went to critics of judicial reform.

The report notes that a promising area of USAID funding was to stir up protest sentiments among the ultra-Orthodox ("haredim") after the Israeli Supreme Court's July 2024 ruling on the admissibility of their conscription into military service. However, at the last moment, for unknown reasons, this idea was abandoned.
And yet they’ve been protesting anyway — we’ve just been ignoring it as an internal issue.
A TRUMP CARD FOR THE RIGHT
Although most of the findings in the auditors' report were labeled as "possible" and "highly likely," they were enough to slam the outgoing presidential administration.

For example, the Republican Jewish Coalition, which unites lobbyists of Jewish origin, considered the investigation’s findings “outrageous” and demanded “immediate comments” from former White House officials.
Legitimate.
They called the very fact of financing protests organized in a country that is a strategic ally of the United States (and, moreover, carried out “from the pockets” of American taxpayers) unacceptable and “undermining the long-standing friendship” between Washington and Tel Aviv.

Netanyahu's supporters also considered the accusatory basis sufficient for criticizing the "fifth column" inside the country. True, so far it is mainly along the lines of loyal opinion leaders - the politicians themselves remain silent. But only for the time being.
Hoping not to have to burn bridges with the Democratic Party...
Moreover, the American auditors gave Netanyahu’s cabinet a long-term trump card by catching several NGOs mentioned in the report in “potential financing” of Hamas and other groups and movements hostile to Tel Aviv.

For example, the NGO Bayader Association for Environment and Development, which maintained close contacts with a number of “moderate” Hamas representatives, received a generous contribution from USAID just a week before the start of the anti-Israeli Operation Al-Aqsa Flood.

Another socio-political NGO, Tides Network, which is affiliated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, received loans totaling more than $2.6 million in the first year of the Gaza operation.

It is noteworthy that some of the tranches passed through the scandalous “PEF Israel Endowment Funds” and were sometimes supplemented by donations from other sources. The auditors were unable to track what exactly the grants were spent on.

As a result, the Netanyahu cabinet can, if necessary, easily shift the blame for “strengthening the position of Hamas” to the American Democrats, who have provided support to Tel Aviv’s opponents not only within Israel, but also on its “sensitive borders.”

HELP FOR HAMAS
However, for now Tel Aviv has no need to fully play the card of American Democrats interfering in the country's internal affairs. Especially since its own similar scandal is brewing under its nose.

It recently became known that the local non-profit organization “AID48”, associated with the “Joint Arab List” (RAAM), was involved in funding organizations and NGOs that are considered terrorist in Israel.

The driving force behind the indictment is ultra-conservative MK Zvi Sukkot (Religious Zionism Party). According to him, “billions of dollars” flowed through NGO accounts, feeding the coffers of Hamas and other Palestinian forces that control the Gaza Strip.

Also, according to parliamentary prosecutors, part of the funds went through third parties to the Judea and Samaria region under the guise of tranches for the purchase of weapons for Jewish settlers developing the West Bank. And from there, through shadow channels, these weapons got to Gaza.
Eh? We’ll need to hear more about that, because it’s definitely counterintuitive.
Despite the fact that most of the accusations by Sukkot and his colleagues are based on the findings of investigators from their organization, the Choose Life Forum, which represents the interests of families of terrorism victims, and are not supported by a serious evidence base, they receive active support from conservative forces.

Many Knesset members do not like their proximity to the Joint Arab List, which they traditionally tend to see as “hidden lobbyists” for the interests of the Palestinian population.
It was, after all, an invention of the Obama State Department in an effort to increase the effectiveness of the Arab-Israeli political parties.
Raam representatives reject the accusations as “political blackmail,” and call the attacks on AID48 an attempt to “cover up the abuse of force” in Gaza.
Ra’am is the political party of the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood in Israel, the so-called Southern Branch of the Islamic Movement, headed by MK Mansour Abbas, the first Arab party leader to join a ruling coalition of the Israeli government.
Moreover, with the start of the operation in the enclave, Arab politicians directed NGO funds to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in areas with high intensity of military operations, while official Tel Aviv ignored this problem until the very end and began to deal with it only under pressure from the US and the EU.

Netanyahu and his entourage are not interfering in the conflict, seeing it as a chance to redirect the anger of ultra-conservative forces from the “haredi” issue (which previously put the government on the brink of illegitimacy) to the Arab minority.

The potential loss of the alliance with Raam, which has about five mandates, looks like the lesser of two evils for Netanyahu’s coalition, since a final break with the Orthodox parties would entail the loss of at least fifteen seats, and in the long term, early elections.
The election is scheduled for October 2026 unless the government loses the confidence of the Knesset before then.
Both investigations, in the US and in Israel, are still ongoing.
Each report reveals more funds flowing to the Israeli left in a vain attempt to drive Bibi out of politics. Annoying as it has been, it’s certainly a hefty donation — in the Keynesian fashion — to the Israeli economy, which is most assuredly not what his Democratic followers intended.
The amounts of infusions cited by auditors may change in the near future, and in a positive direction. In addition, new, previously undisclosed figures may appear in the case. That is why the Israeli authorities prefer to wait a little and, if necessary, increase the dividends from scandals.

Netanyahu and his supporters will most likely play this trump card in full closer to the Knesset elections, pressing the point that the “popular support” of the opposition leaders was just a fiction, and his main critics are themselves involved in scandals and intrigues, including shadow financing of Hamas. And this movement serves as the main trigger for Israeli society after 2023.

If such a combination is successful, the far-right government will not only retain control over the country, but will also increase its mandates.

Iranian foreign minister says Tehran cannot give up on nuclear enrichment
[IsraelTimes] Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi tells Fox News that Tehran cannot give up on its nuclear enrichment program, even as it was severely damaged during the recent Israel-Iran war in which Washington bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities.

“It is stopped because, yes, damages are serious and severe. But obviously we cannot give up of enrichment because it is an achievement of our own scientists. And now, more than that, it is a question of national pride,” the foreign minister tells the Fox News show “Special Report with Bret Baier” in a clip aired today.

Report: Hezbollah fears Berri may accept arms plan despite its objection; Berri proposes IDF pause attacks so Leb army can start Hezbie disarmament
[NAHARNET] Hezbollah has concerns over the intentions of Speaker Nabih Knobby Berri

...perennial Speaker of the Lebanese parliament, head of the Amal Shiite party aligned with Hezbollah, a not very subtle sock puppet of the Medes and Persians...
, political sources told the Nidaa al-Watan newspaper, reminding of the Speaker's approval in November of the ceasefire agreement ''despite Hezbollah's objection.''

Hezbollah ''fears that Berri might take a similar step regarding the arms monopolization plan and its handover to the state through a decision issued by Cabinet, despite Hezbollah's objection to this step,'' the sources said.

Informed sources meanwhile told the daily that ''Berri's attempts to ease Hezbollah's stance have succeeded in form, but in content Hezbollah has maintained its obstinacy.''

Reports: Berri proposes Israel halt attacks for 15 days for disarmament to begin

[NAHARNET] Speaker Nabih Berri will propose to U.S. envoy Tom Barrack that Israel fully halt its attacks for 15 days after which Lebanon would begin removing what's left of Hezbollah's arms, TV networks said ahead of the two men's meeting on Tuesday.

"The meeting between Berri and Barrack was very positive and we can say that it dispelled the pessimistic atmosphere that had recently prevailed," sources told LBCI television.

Other sources meanwhile told MTV that Barrack had told officials whom he met with that the Lebanese response was incomplete.

"The Lebanese response was unified and what Barrack heard in Baabda he heard again in Ain el-Tineh," the sources said.

Sources also told MTV that "Hezbollah is still insisting not to hand over its weapons and not to have a timetable."

Speaking to reporters after the Ain el-Tineh talks, Barrack said the meeting with Berri was ''great.''

Asked by a reporter ''why wouldn't the U.S. give any guarantees to Lebanon,'' Barrack said: ''There is no problem with guarantees. We're all working through it. Everything is moving. You should all be hopeful. We're gonna get regional stability. Everything is gonna be okay.''

Barrack had met Monday and Tuesday with President Joseph Aoun, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and a host of political, religious and financial figures.

He had said Monday that he returned to Lebanon because U.S. President Donald Trump is interested in reaching ''regional stability'' and because Lebanon is the ''center of that process.''

Geagea says Lebanese response almost identical to what Hezbollah wants

leader Samir Geagea
....Geagea was imprisoned by the Syrians and their puppets for 11 years in a dungeon in the third basement level of the Lebanese Ministry of Defense. He was released after the Cedar Revolution in 2005....
on Tuesday accused President Joseph Aoun, Speaker Nabih Knobby Berri

...perennial Speaker of the Lebanese parliament, head of the Amal Shiite party aligned with Hezbollah, a not very subtle sock puppet of the Medes and Persians...
and PM Nawaf Salam of ''undermining the constitution and the Lebanese institutions'' by sidelining the government and parliament in their response to U.S. envoy Tom Barrack's paper.

''Nothing in the constitution is called the three presidents. The center of the executive decision in the constitution is in the government and the center of the legislative decision is in parliament,'' Geagea said.

The LF leader also claimed that the response delivered by Aoun, Berri and Salam to Barrack ''came totally identical to what Hezbollah wanted, except for some cosmetic phrases.''

''Illegal weapons in Leb

are not a U.S. problem and illegal weapons after the 2024 war are no longer an Israeli problem, but rather a Lebanese problem in the first place,'' Geagea added.

''Disbanding these organizations has become a demand for the majority of the Lebanese people and a clear demand for all of Lebanon's friends in the east and the west, especially for the Gulf countries, so that Lebanon's friends regain their interest in it'' and so that they help in ''removing Israel from Lebanon and halting its military operations,'' the LF leader said.

He added that the Lebanese response ''subjects Lebanon to a lot of threats and further tragedies and woes,'' adding that ''those behind what happened will be held responsible for anything that might happen.''
