Emory University's active shooter, student Silas Kruger, is TOAST, taken out by the good guys in Atlanta!

Silas Kruger Falsely Linked to CDC Shooting at Emory Point, Atlanta Police Yet to Confirm Suspect

[CedarNews] Social media posts naming Emory University student Silas Kruger as the CDC shooter are false, his mother confirms.

Several social media posts have falsely linked Silas Kruger to Friday’s shooting at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) building in Atlanta, Georgia. However,
facts are stubborn; statistics are more pliable...
Atlanta police have not confirmed the suspect’s identity, and Kruger’s mother says the claims are untrue.

Kruger, an Emory University student, was named online as the alleged shooter who shot up the CDC facility on Clifton Street at Emory Point. His mother told the Hindustan Times via email that the accusations are baseless.

"We have people that have been harassing my son (Silas Kruger) online, but we live in Canada. They have been spreading false information about him online for years," she wrote.

The individual known as Silas Kruger is the son of a popular contractor with more than 2.9 million Instagram followers under the username @krugerconstruction. Several photos of Kruger appear on the account, but there is no evidence connecting him to the shooting.

POLICE HAVE NOT CONFIRMED CDC SHOOTING SUSPECT
Atlanta police have not officially named the suspect involved in the CDC shooting at Emory Point. Authorities are continuing their investigation and have urged the public not to rely on unverified information circulating on social media.

CNN liveblogged events here. As of 11:20 p.m. EDT the shooter was not named. Their summary:
HERE'S WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR ABOUT THE GEORGIA SHOOTING THAT KILLED A POLICE OFFICER

A police officer has died after a gunman opened fire near Emory University and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention today in Georgia.

Here’s what we know so far from law enforcement and other officials:

The victim:

  • The name of the police officer killed in today’s shooting has not been released.

  • He leaves behind a pregnant wife and two children.

  • Police cannot confirm why the police officer involved in the shooting incident was present on site.

The shooter:

  • There was one single alleged shooter involved in this event, who is now dead.

  • The shooter had multiple guns – two hand guns, one rifle and one shotgun – and was wearing what a law enforcement official on the scene described as looking like a surgical mask.

  • According to Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens, the alleged shooter “is a known person that may have some interest in certain things that I can’t reiterate right now with any confidence until the investigation is fully conducted.”

  • The alleged shooter’s father called law enforcement before the shooting to report he believed his son was suicidal. It was not immediately clear how much time had elapsed between the call and the shooting.

Iranian woman who killed 11 husbands suspected of more victims
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] Iranian resident Koltsum Akbari, who confessed to killing 11 of her husbands, is suspected of killing several more men. This is reported by Sky New Sarabia.
Goodness! I have trouble enough keeping track of just the one.
Akbari was arrested in September 2023 on suspicion of involvement in the death of her 82-year-old husband. During interrogation, she admitted that she killed not only him, but also 10 other men who had also been her husbands.

Iranian daily Haft Sobh found out that Akbari was officially married 19 times. In addition, she had extramarital affairs with 18 men.

She chose older, wealthy men who were attracted to her outward caring nature. But the marriage always ended in the man's death.

According to the Asr-e Iran newspaper, Akbari slipped drugs to her husbands that gradually led to their death. She added poison to diabetes medication, drinks or food, gradually increasing the dosage. When another victim became ill, she went with him to the hospital. The man was saved, doctors considered him ill. When he returned home, the wife increased the dose of poison, the man died, and his death was already perceived as natural.

For a long time, the woman remained above suspicion. However, the mysterious circumstances of her 82-year-old husband's death two years ago prompted his sons to file a formal complaint with the authorities, which launched a comprehensive investigation into the case.

During the trial, the families of the four victims demanded retribution. The defendant tried to evade the charges. After the court showed a video recording of Akbari reenacting the crime, she admitted the veracity of her previous confessions.

The lawyer asked the court to conduct a psychological examination. The prosecution did not agree. The prosecutor insists that Akbari carefully prepared the crimes: they were committed using skillfully selected drugs. This indicates deliberate criminal behavior, and not mental illness, the prosecutors believe.

According to Haft Sobh, the number of victims could reach 45, including heirs and blood relatives of the victims. Akbari's case has been transferred to the Second Criminal Court of Iran.

Watch: Victim of Infamous Cincinnati Attack Speaks Out, Counters DEI-Supporting Police Chief''s Claims — RedState
[REDSTATE] The woman who was brutally beaten in downtown Cincinnati by a mob of men is speaking out for the first time, describing the attack and lambasting the city's leadership for how they've handled the case.

Holly, who is currently choosing to only go by her first name, showed physical signs of the ordeal while speaking to Fox News' Laura Ingraham, with visible bruises under her eye and on her cheek. She went on to talk about what led up to the assault that left her on her back, bleeding in the street.

According to Holly, the group of attackers, who were black, hurled racist insults at her and those she was with.
... though we all know that black folk can't be racist...
HOLLY: When we came outside, there were some racist comments. I guess some of the people that we were with were from the country of Russia, and there were a bunch of Russian comments, and some people saying they wanted to beat up the Russians. And then there were some comments about, you know, "White people shouldn't be out here" or "We're gonna go night night, you white bleep words."

So, you know, definitely it was a little scary, yeah, there were, it was just an attack that should have never happened, and there were a lot of people in the attack, now that some of the people have been arrested, they have rap sheets that go on for days, especially the man who punched me in the face. He had just gotten out of jail a few months before and had felonies on him, and I don't understand why he was running the streets, and a lot of other people should have never been out of jail to even do this to me or the others.
So she was not a Russian, after all.
After the attack, Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge appeared to take the side of the attackers, claiming that the videos that had gone viral lacked context and were a "distorted" version of the events. She has still not provided any evidence for her claim, and, notably, Theetge is an outspoken proponent of DEI. That provides a window into her views regarding policing and racial politics.

She also didn't bother to reveal in her press conference that the alleged attackers had previous criminal records, including acts of violence. That would have gone against her implication that this attack was somehow instigated by Holly and was not an indictment of her failed leadership.

Man sentenced for attacking pro-life activists at Planned Parenthood clinic
[FOXNEWS] A 28-year-old man who was caught on video attacking two pro-life activists outside a Planned Parenthood
...has received federal funding since 1970, when President Richard Nixon signed into law the Family Planning Services and Population Research Act. It is sometimes described as the gynecololgical wing of the Democratic party...
clinic in Baltimore was sentenced this week to a year of home detention and three years of probation.

Baltimore Circuit Judge Yvette M. Bryant rebuffed prosecutors' calls for a 10-year sentence against Patrick Brice, 28, after he was found guilty of two counts of second-degree assault and reckless endangerment in relation to the May 2023 incident, according to The Baltimore Banner.

"What about my rights and my well-being?" one of the victims in the attack, Mark Crosby -- who was 73 years old at the time -- reportedly shouted at Bryant on Thursday as she left the bench.

Brice said on May 26, 2023, he intended to debate Richard Schaefer — the other victim, who was 84 — about the concept of sin outside the Planned Parenthood facility, but then lost it after Schaefer made what he perceived to be a racial remark, The Baltimore Banner reported. Surveillance video showed Brice shoving Schaefer into a flowerpot and then assaulting Crosby when he rushed to his aid.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
Seemingly Coordinated Series of Thefts from Tennessee National Guard Armories in 7 Week Span
Radicals from the right or left, hired thefts for arms traffickers, narco or other gangs, staff just trying to make a little on the side — so many possibilities that need to be much better guarded against.
[Wired] A string of US armory break-ins, kept quiet by authorities for months, points to a growing security crisis—and signs of an inside job.

A string of previously undisclosed break-ins at Tennessee National Guard armories last fall marks the latest in a growing series of security breaches at military facilities across the United States, raising fresh concerns about the vulnerability of US armories to theft and intrusion.

A confidential memo from the Tennessee Fusion Center reviewed by WIRED details four break-ins at Tennessee National Guard armories over a seven-week span. In one incident, thieves made off with night vision goggles, laser target locators, and thermal weapons sights, among other equipment. At others, intruders breached fences, tripped alarms, and gained access to supply rooms discovered in the aftermath to have been unlocked.

At least some of the break-ins seem to point to potential insider help. In Covington, Tennessee, for example, evidence suggests intruders may have known in advance the location of a secure key control box. At other sites, attempts were made to bypass alarms and entry points.

The memo, which was intended solely for law enforcement use, does not indicate that any weapons were stolen; however, a government anti-terrorism coordinator is quoted as saying: “These events are concerning not only due to the stolen items being sensitive in nature but also because of the indicators for some insider knowledge being needed for successful breach and theft.”

The document, first obtained by the nonprofit watchdog group Property of the People, was shared exclusively with WIRED.

The break-ins remain under active investigation and have drawn the attention of the Pentagon’s Office of the Provost Marshal General—the US Army’s leading law enforcement authority. A senior police source informed WIRED on Tuesday that the Federal Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation. The FBI declined to confirm.

“FBI policy prohibits confirming or denying an investigation unless in rare circumstances when publicity would help the investigation, such as in seeking a missing child or trying to identify a bank robber,” Elizabeth Clement-Webb, an FBI public affairs officer, says. “The matter you’re inquiring about does not meet that exception, so it would not be appropriate to comment.”

The Pentagon referred questions to the National Guard. The Guard did not respond to a request for comment.

Initially regarded as isolated incidents, the memo cites years’ worth of FBI and Defense Department reporting on what agents call “domestic violent extremists,” or DVEs, discussing plans to raid armories for weapons and gear, leading analysts to suspect organized activity. Domestic intelligence has consistently flagged violent militia members and racially motivated extremists eyeing armories as soft targets.

“Although DVEs previously have stolen some lower-level military gear, the FBI has not identified any instances in which a DVE successfully raided an armory to steal heavy military equipment,” the memo reads. “To circumvent such a raid, FBI and DoD are enhancing liaison with local armories and military facilities to address gaps in reporting about current plots to exploit armory vulnerabilities and increase opportunities to detect and prevent DVE theft of military equipment.”

Between 2020 and 2024, the memo says, at least four FBI subjects discussed raiding military facilities for heavy weapons, including .50-caliber firearms and machine guns. Three had confirmed military backgrounds. One—a former Guard member—identified specific armories that he had served in, while describing how best to exploit their security. It’s unclear whether any charges were brought.

Extremist chatter cited by the document echos these ambitions. In early 2024, a militia-linked Telegram user proposed assessing armory vulnerabilities with help from sympathetic firefighters and sought military or law enforcement recruits for inside information. In another case, an active-duty tank commander claimed he could sway an armorer to hand over weapons, while a former Air Force contractor talked about raiding a Guard facility to seize mortars and secure land.

Together, these incidents point to a persistent and ideologically varied interest in exploiting armory weaknesses. The Tennessee break-ins, meanwhile, preceded several other armory breaches around the country, underscoring a broader trend in security threats.

"Especially when coupled with more recent events, the document makes clear that violent neo-Nazis and far-right militia groups continue to pose a serious and ongoing threat—and that state governments are failing in their duty to secure dangerous military hardware,” says Ryan Shapiro, executive director of Property of the People.

This year alone, thieves stole three Humvees and other military gear from an Army Reserve center in Tustin, California; raided storage containers at a Colorado National Guard facility; and allegedly attempted to steal body armor and communications gear from a US Army Ranger site in Washington. In the latter case, law enforcement claim the suspects used their status as veterans to gain entry to the base, highlighting ongoing concerns about insider access.

Similarly, a break-in at a Massachusetts Army Reserve center in 2015—during which numerous rifles and pistols were stolen—was carried out by a former service member, later sentenced to 11 years in prison. Their familiarity with the facility’s security systems and physical layout reportedly enabled the robbery.

For decades, US military stockpiles have been prime targets for high-stakes theft. In the 1970s, arms traffickers raided facilities in California, escaping with caches of powerful weapons. A 1976 heist at a Massachusetts armory turned up a shoulder-fired missile launcher. And in 1995, a former soldier commandeered a tank in San Diego, leading police of a destructive, city-wide chase.

Despite repeated policy changes and years of heightened scrutiny, the nation's thousands of armories remain vulnerable to both external intruders and those with insider access. Modern security improvements have done little to deter interest in breaching them. In Tennessee alone, the fusion center memo notes that state officials have received at least 25 suspicious activity reports over the past decade, detailing attempted surveillance and theft.

Little boy, 6, is viciously attacked by apex predator while supporting his sister's softball team
[Daily MIl, where America gets its news] A young California boy was at his big sister's softball game when he was repeatedly bitten by a coyote that tried to drag him away.

On Monday night, six-year-old Enoch Palomar was with his family at Del Amo Park in Carson, where he split time between the playground and watching his sister play.

Midway through the game, Enoch was heard screaming as the coyote chased after him. A portion of the attack was recorded by a parent who was filming the game.

'It just kept biting me and I was trying to kick it,' Enoch told KTLA three days after the fact. 'It was too fast and it just jumped. I was trying my hardest and then it didn't work, and then I yelled.'

His mother, Melissa Palomar, ran over to her son and scared the coyote off, but not before it was able to bite him in multiple places.

'I was like, "Get up, get up!" I was just hysterical,' she said.

After the attack, the coyote was seen running away across the field.

Enoch needed 20 stiches for bites on his legs. He was also bitten on his head and back. As a precaution, he was also given rabies shots.

Buffalo that killed big game hunter as he stalked it was shot dead a split-second after impaling the US millionaire on its horns
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The buffalo that killed an American big game hunter was shot dead just seconds after goring the man to death.

Multi-millionaire Asher Watkins, 59, was out on safari with a professional hunter and an animal tracker on the trail of the bull last Sunday when the beast charged at him and killed him instantly with his horns.

The professional hunter guiding Watkins through the bush killed the buffalo with a single shot just seconds after the tragic incident.

The news of the of the buffalo's death was greeted with dismay and sadness as thousands commented online that they prayed it had escaped and run to safety.

Bearded big game hunter Watkins dressed in camouflage lay dying close by.

The professional hunter from Coenraad Vermaak Safaris running the trophy hunt in Limpopo Province called for medical help but nothing could be done to save Watkins.

An emergency services source said: 'He was beyond help except to load his body into the ambulance. He had horrific injuries to his stomach and to his ribs.

'Buffalo kills are not rare in Limpopo and not many survive but when our guys got there it was clear he must have died instantly from the injuries he had suffered.

'It was big buffalo and anything standing in the way of a charge would not survive. If left alone they are pretty tolerant but if you upset them it will not end well.

'The buffalo lay dead where it was shot with a single bullet wound' she said.

Businessman Watkins who had made his fortune selling upmarket Texan ranches valued between £1m and £30m travelled worldwide to shoot wild animals.

There are many photos on his Facebook page showing animals he has hunted and killed including a mountain lion, many types of deer, turkey shoots and wild fowl.

His ex-wife Courtney who posted news of Watkin's death on her Facebook page was forced to take it down after it was deluged by trolls delighted the buffalo 'won'.

Watkin's own Facebook hunting page was also filled with sick posts describing his death from the buffalo as 'karma' and an AI meme with his head on a hunting shield.

Many were hoping the buffalo that killed him had managed to escape back to his herd but the professional hunter with him took it out with a single heart shot.
Quite right. We can’t have animals accustomed to killing people running around looking for more of us to play with.
If the hunt had gone as normal the buffalo's head and skin would have been taken by the hunting company and given to a taxidermist to prepare as a trophy.

#9  It's a COW.

It is a flavor of Cow, which is to say, a large animal made of meat. Meaty animals are considered tasty by carnivores. In response, meaty animals have evolved to be either shy, quick, or mean. The Cape buffalo has chosen mean for its strategy and is rather good at it.

An asteroid flew over the Irkutsk region at night and was filmed on video
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[Regnum] An asteroid flew over the Irkutsk region, it was captured on a surveillance camera. The phenomenon of August 8 was explained by astronomer Sergei Yazev.

Local residents posted a video of a bright object flying in the sky online. A scientist explained that it was an asteroid about 10 cm in size.
@4 inches
"It was spotted over Irkutsk and Svirsk at 0:21 (19:21 Moscow time), it was observed for about two to three seconds, after which it burned up in the Earth's atmosphere at an altitude of about 20-30 km. It is at these altitudes that the maximum brightness of the glow is achieved," Yazev explained in an interview with RIA Novosti.

On July 11, a moment of a meteor flying over the region was captured on video in Chelyabinsk.A bright flash in the sky was recorded by street cameras.

Last December, residents of Yakutia witnessed a unique celestial phenomenon: asteroid C0WEPC5 fell to Earth. Footage published online shows a glowing dot with a fiery tail flying hissingly through the sky, flashing somewhere above the forest, illuminating the space, and instantly disappearing.

Trump removing IRS commissioner Billy Long after serving just two months in role
[FoxBusiness] "It is a honor to serve my friend President Trump and I am excited to take on my new role as the ambassador to Iceland," Long posted to X Friday afternoon. "I am thrilled to answer his call to service and deeply committed to advancing his bold agenda. Exciting times ahead!"

President Trump has decided to remove Billy Long from his role as commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), with the former lawmaker announcing Friday that he will be taking on a new role as U.S. Ambassador to Iceland.

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent will step in as acting IRS commissioner until a replacement is found, an official source confirmed to FOX Business on Friday.

Long, who previously served as a U.S. representative for Missouri’s 7th Congressional district, was sworn in as the 51st commissioner of the IRS on June 16. On June 12, the GOP-controlled Senate approved Long in a 53 to 44 vote along party lines.

His term as commissioner was originally slated to run through Nov. 12, 2027, according to the IRS website.

The former lawmaker took over an agency he once sought to dismantle, previously backing legislation that would have abolished the IRS and replaced income taxes with a national sales tax.

Long was the fifth commissioner atop the tax agency since the beginning of 2025. He replaced Michael Faulkender, who was serving as acting commissioner alongside his duty as deputy Treasury secretary.

On Tuesday, Trump said Treasury Secretary Bessent will not be in the running to become the next chair of the Federal Reserve.

Tesla Shares Jump As Robotaxi Secures Texas Rideshare Permit
[ZeroHedge] Tesla shares rose in early New York trading after Tesla Robotaxi LLC secured a rideshare license in Texas for its robotaxi Model Y fleet under the state's new autonomous vehicle regulations, which take effect Sept. 1.

Tesla Robotaxi LLC is now registered as a transportation network company with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, joining the ranks of operators such as Lyft.

As previously reported by Reuters, the new law states that operators of robotaxis must obtain a permit from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles before deploying the autonomous vehicle without a human safety supervisor in the front passenger seat. It also gives the state government the authority to revoke the permits if these vehicles are a danger to the public.
