[NYPOST] Cracker Barrel said it's scrapping a redesign of the folksy restaurant chain's logo following a backlash over a ''woke'' rebranding campaign that was even joined by President Trump.
''We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel,'' the company said in a statement. ''We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our 'old timer' will remain.''
The about-face followed days of protests on social media against Cracker Barrel's rebranding efforts — capped on Tuesday with Trump weighing in and advising the company to go back to the original logo design.

Until, Cracker Barrel restores the original taste and ingredients in many of its key menu items. It is still a No-Go for us.
The Country Fried steak meal has become kinda a breaded fried hamburger.
Breakfast items are still reasonably good, except the Maple syrups seem to be more watery than before. Even found a few bottles missing the safety seal ring?
Breakfast parking can be a challenge, afternoon parking is ok.

They spent like $900M on the rebrand and lost that amount in market capital. Seems like there should be C level accountability. Hopefully, the stock options in everyone’s parachute will be at the stock price from 6 months ago.

Suits, bean counters, spread sheets and credentials.
How many meals have any of them taken in their business? How many spent time traveling and eating at various locations? Ever hear of management by walking around.

They also removed their hard core DEI messaging from their web site's front page....to another section within the web site. It is still there, just not on the Main Page Tab. Nothing has changed but the...face.
Speaking of faces, CEO Catglasses made it clear during her morning show interview that she is not taking control, but a hire to facilitate the direction of The Board, and in that capacity a deflector shield.

Almost as stupid as the Budweiser Lite fiasco. Can't believe Cracker Barrel braniacs were so out of touch with their market. DEI at work here? It's almost as if their CEO or board were trying to punish their consumers for being conservative. CB lost $143 million in value. Dummys.

Chicago is much, much bigger than DC with more criminal gangs, more crime areas, etc.
The DC deployment is about 2000. A much bigger deployment would be necessary, probably closer to 10,000 or maybe even 20,000.

The politicians in these blue cities and states are feckless. They talk a good game. Their policies create problems. They throw a lot of money at these created problems but nothing useful ever happens. Nothing gets better.
[NYPOST] House Democrats ...every time you hear the phrase white people, white supremacy, white anything but paint, you're listening to a Democrat. Ask him/her/it to reimagine something for you; they do that a lot, though not well. They can hear a dog whistle a mile or two away. They invented the spoils system and Tammany Hall, and inspired the addition of the word (Thomas) Nasty to the English language. They want to stop continental drift and repeal the law of unintended side effects... are urging the Trump administration to allow children injured in Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... during the Israel-Hamas ..one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... war to enter the US for emergency medical care.
In an Aug. 25 letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio ...The diminutive 13-year-old Republican U.S. Senator from Florida, Secretary of State in the second Trump administration... , more than 140 politicians asked for the reversal of a recent move to halt the approval of all visitor visas for people from the Gaza Strip, including children in need of medical care.
''This pause will deny children the medical care they desperately need. It is wrong to prevent children who are caught in the middle of this horrific conflict from receiving lifesaving medical care,'' the letter reads.
''In addition, this decision ignores the fact that all Paleostinians leaving Gaza for medical treatment or to accompany family members receiving medical treatment are already subject to rigorous vetting by the Israeli government, including an Israeli security clearance, identity verification, and an assessment whether they are linked to Hamas,'' it continued.

Nope!
We have enough children of our own that need medical treatments, how about we spend our money on them first!
Countries like France are more than willing to take them in, let them. Egypt also!

EUROPE is a lot closer and less traumatic travel for an injured kid. Unless of course the (D) goal is to get the Hamas supporting / Anti-Jewish parents here also.
BTW: Besides, the US has had a shortage of Hospital beds for US Citizen children for several years now already.
OBTW: Oregon, Wash-state, Utah, Cal, NM, HI, MD, Co, AZ and Idaho are the top 10 for bed shortages (note 9 out of the 10 are BLUE states. With Idaho suffering an influx from WA & OR)

The program was cancelled because the last batch all turned out to have — shockingly! — Hamas connections. Secretary halted it until all applicants could be thoroughly vetted.

I'm a little confused as to why the lefties aren't following their usual practice and demanding the kids be aborted. They worship the sacrifice of children and support their use for sex slaves...so them wanting to 'save' kids just rings hollow.
Oh dear. Charm and intelligence only go so far when key insights [wisdom] are missing.
[NYPOST] Union representatives for the Cincinnati Police Department have roundly rejected the city's mayor, stemming in part from the fallout from the viral July 26 beatdown that reverberated across the nation.
''Tonight, the Cincinnati Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 69 unanimously voted no confidence in Mayor Aftab Pureval, citing a series of leadership failures over the past month that have undermined public safety, police operations, and community trust,'' the FOP said in a Monday night statement obtained by Fox News Digital.
FOP President Ken Kober decried what the organization feels is a lack of support from the mayor's office in the release.
''This unanimous vote of no confidence is a clear message from our members that Mayor Pureval's leadership has fallen short in supporting the men and women who protect this city every day,'' Cincinnati FOP President Ken Kober said. ''From political interference in law enforcement to neglecting the well-being of officers and the community, these failures demand accountability and change.''
The FOP detailed the discussion that led them to the no confidence vote, and said that the mayor does not respond quickly enough to serious situations.
[NYPOST] Some employees of the Federal Emergency Management Agency who signed a public letter of dissent earlier this week were put on administrative leave Tuesday evening, according to documents reviewed by The News Agency that Dare Not be Named.
More than 180 current and former FEMA employees signed the letter sent to the FEMA Review Council and Congress on Monday critiquing recent cuts to agency staff and programs, and warning that FEMA's capacity to respond to a major disaster was dangerously diminished.
Thirty-five signed their names while 141 signed anonymously for fear of retribution.
The News Agency that Dare Not be Named has confirmed that at least two of the signatories received notices Tuesday evening informing them they would be placed on leave indefinitely, with pay and that they must still check in every morning confirming their availability. It was unclear what the status was for other signatories.
The notice said the decision ''is not a disciplinary action and is not intended to be punitive.''
FEMA did not respond immediately to questions about how many staff received the notice and whether it was related to the opposition letter.
The Washington Post first reported that some FEMA employees were being put on leave.
The dissent letter contained six ''statements of opposition'' to current policies at FEMA, including an expenditure approval policy by which Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem must approve contracts exceeding $100,000, which the signatories said reduces FEMA's ability to perform its mission.
