[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Taliban authorities publicly executed two men convicted of murder today by machine-gunning them through the back in front of a crowd of spectators.
Both men were executed by multiple gunshots to the back in Ghazni city after Supreme Court official Atiqullah Darwish read aloud a death warrant signed by Taliban Supreme Leader Hibatullah Akhundzada.
'These two people were convicted of the crime of murder... after two years of trial in the courts of the country, the order has been signed,' Darwish said.
Thousands of men gathered in the stadium to witness the execution.
Families of the convicted men's victims were present and were asked if they wanted to grant the condemned a last-minute reprieve but they declined.
Public executions were common during the Taliban's first rule from 1996 to 2001.
Thursday's executions are believed to be the third and fourth death penalties meted out since the Taliban authorities returned to power.
The first two had also been convicted of murder.
There have been regular public floggings for other crimes, however, including theft, adultery and alcohol consumption.
The previous execution was carried out in June 2023, when a convicted murderer was shot dead in the grounds of a mosque in Laghman province in front of some 2,000 people.
Many governments, international organisations and aid agencies cut off or severely scaled back their funding for Afghanistan in response - causing a serious knock to the already struggling economy.
The Taliban government has also barred girls and women from high schools and universities, banned them from parks, funfairs and gyms, and ordered them to cover up in public.

Footage from Israel’s southernmost city of Eilat showed smoke trails in the sky from the aftermath of the interception.
The Israel Defense Forces said the missile was headed toward Israel, likely aimed for Eilat, when it was shot down over the Red Sea using the advanced Arrow system.
The IDF added that the missile did not enter Israeli airspace when it was shot down, and sirens had sounded in the southern city according to protocol, due to fears of falling shrapnel.
The Houthis did not immediately claim responsibility for the attack.

Hamas could just put down they’re weapons and the war would end.
But it is not genocide when the population has risen increasing continuously since Israel took over as a result of winning the Six Day War in 1967, and continues rising even during the current Hamas-started excitement. The opposite, in fact — based on the evidence it could reasonably be concluded that Israeli policies act as fertilizer for Palestinian population growth, not genocide.

[Gateway] New analysis finds that the number of illegal immigrants who have entered the U.S. on Biden’s watch is greater than the population of 36 states.
The numbers are absolutely staggering and there are still months left before Joe Biden will potentially leave office. If he doesn’t, and this madness continues, it’s nearly impossible to imagine what the country would look like in four more years.
Illegal immigration has now eclipsed the economy as the top issue for the 2024 and this is why. Everyone knows this is not a sustainable situation.
FOX News reports:
7.2M illegals entered the US under Biden admin, an amount greater than population of 36 states
Nearly 7.3 million migrants have illegally crossed the southwest border under President Biden’s watch, a number greater than the population of 36 individual states, a Fox News analysis finds.
That figure comes from U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), which has already reported 961,537 border encounters in the current fiscal year, which runs from October through September. If the current pace of illegal immigration does not slow down, fiscal year 2024 will break last year’s record of 2,475,669 southwest border encounters — a number that by itself exceeds the population of New Mexico, a border state.
The total number of southwest land border encounters since Biden assumed office in 2021 is 7,298,486, CBP data shows.
That is larger than the population of 36 U.S. states, including Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Joe Biden deserves to be impeached over this. In order to achieve their globalist 'Hope & Change' utopia, they must destroy the entire country. Continued on Page 47

Troops of the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit and additional forces under the 98th Division raided the underground passages, where they encountered several blast doors and other blockages set up by Hamas operatives, the IDF says.
The troops breached the barricades and identified Hamas button men in the tunnel, who were then killed in close-quarters combat and with other "special means," according to the IDF.
The IDF says the tunnel — more than a kilometer long — included living quarters and water and electricity infrastructure. It estimates that Hamas invested millions of shekels in its construction.
"This tunnel is part of a strategic and branching underground network located below Khan Younis, which was used by senior Hamas officials and the [terror group’s] Khan Younis Brigade for hiding and combat," the IDF says.

Special means, eh? I'd love to hear more about that. Unconventional war requires unconventional methods. I hope it's robots and spray foam.

[IsraelTimes] Military confirms large-scale operation launched in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, an area believed largely cleared of Hamas gunmen; aid groups suspend food convoys to area
The Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday that one soldier was killed and two others were seriously maimed as heavy fighting flared again in northern Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... , where the military had previously said it had largely completed its main operations to destroy Hamas ...one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbund millipede,... forces.
The soldier was named as Staff Sgt. Avraham Wovagen, 21, of the Nahal Brigade’s 932nd Battalion, from Netanya. His death brought the toll of slain troops in the ground offensive against Hamas to 237.
Separately, a soldier of the 932nd Battalion and a reservist of the 636th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit were seriously maimed by an anti-tank missile in northern Gaza.
The IDF confirmed Wednesday that it had launched a new large-scale raid on Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighborhood, killing Hamas operatives and locating weapons in the process. The IDF said the Israeli Air Force and 215th Artillery Regiment carried out strikes against dozens of Hamas targets in Zeitoun, including observation posts, weapon depots, and tunnels. The 401st Armored Brigade then entered the neighborhood, raiding suspicious buildings.
During the operation so far, dozens of Hamas operatives have been killed in festivities and in Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s, according to the IDF. The military also said troops have also found weapons in homes in the area.
Paleostinian sources had reported heavy fighting and airstrikes in the past two days in areas of northern Gaza. The military on Tuesday ordered the evacuation of two neighborhoods on Gaza City’s southern edge, an indication that operatives were still putting up stiff resistance.
The operation in Zeitoun comes after the IDF said it had largely defeated Hamas’s fighting force in northern Gaza, withdrew its forces, and began to focus on smaller raids in designated areas.
Meanwhile, ...back at the wreckage, Captain Poindexter wished he had thought to pack sun block... the IDF said that in Khan Younis, the southern Gaza city that has been the focal point of the offensive in recent weeks, troops were "deepening" the fighting against Hamas. The IDF said the Givati Brigade led an offensive in new areas in eastern Khan Younis, killing many Hamas operatives in the process; the Paratroopers Brigade and Commando Brigade were expanding operations in western Khan Younis; and the 7th Armored Brigade directed airstrikes on two Hamas button men on a cycle of violence.
In southern Gaza, a soldier of the Givati Brigade was seriously maimed as a result of an bomb, the army said.
Exacerbating the situation, the World Food Program said Tuesday it has paused deliveries of food in northern Gaza because of increasing chaos across the territory. Entry of aid trucks into the besieged territory has been more than halved in the past two weeks, according to UN figures. UN and relief workers accused Israel of failing to ensure convoys’ safety amid its airstrikes and the ground offensive, and have described a breakdown in security, with hungry Paleostinians frequently overwhelming trucks to take food.
The World Food Program said it was forced to pause aid to the north because of "complete chaos and violence due to the collapse of civil order." It said it had first suspended deliveries to the north three weeks ago after a strike hit an aid truck. It tried resuming this week, but convoys on Sunday and Monday faced gunfire and crowds of hungry people stripping goods and beating one driver.
WFP said it was working to resume deliveries as soon as possible. It called for the opening of crossing points for aid directly into northern Gaza from Israel and a better notification system to coordinate with the Israeli military. It warned of a "precipitous slide into hunger and disease," saying, "People are already dying from hunger-related causes."
Israeli officials said the failure of aid trucks to reach Paleostinians across Gaza was due to aid groups failing to organize properly. Moshe Tetro, an official with COGAT, an Israeli military body in charge of civilian Paleostinian affairs, said bottlenecks were caused because the UN and other aid groups can’t accept the trucks in Gaza or distribute them to the population. He said more than 450 trucks were waiting on the Paleostinian side of the Kerem Shalom crossing, but no UN staff had come to distribute them.
The White House said Tuesday it was sending Brett McGurk, coordinator for the Middle East and North Africa, to hold talks Wednesday in Egypt and Thursday in Israel. The talks were to be focused on trying to push ahead with a deal to free the hostages and to dissuade Israel from launching a planned offensive in Rafah.
Israel has rebuffed repeated calls to drop plans for the operation in Rafah, Gaza’s southernmost city where over a million Paleostinians are sheltering, many in makeshift tents. Israel says Rafah is Hamas’s last military stronghold and the terror group’s leaders and some of the hostages are likely there. The military freed two hostages from Rafah earlier this month

[IsraelTimes] Airstrike carried out against armed Palestinians during operation; another 26 wanted men nabbed across West Bank
Three Palestinian gunmen were killed and 14 terror suspects were detained by Israeli troops during a counter-terrorism raid in the northern West Bank city of Jenin overnight, the Israel Defense Forces said Wednesday morning.
The IDF said the raid was carried out by the Duvdevan commando unit, the Kfir Brigade’s Haruv reconnaissance unit, and Border Police officers.
The Palestinian Authority health ministry only announced the death of one Palestinian, naming him as Arif Marwan Arif Ali, 25.
In addition to killing the gunmen and nabbing the suspects, the IDF said troops also seized weapons and located explosive devices planted under roads in Jenin.
The airstrike was carried out against a group of Palestinian gunmen who were shooting at the troops, according to the IDF.
It said several Palestinians were “hit” in the strike. Their conditions were not immediately known.
The military released footage showing the airstrike.
In other areas of the West Bank, 26 wanted Palestinians were detained in overnight operations, the IDF said.
The Israeli military has intensified its near-daily raids across the West Bank in the aftermath of Hamas’s October 7 attack, in operations aimed at dismantling Palestinian terror groups such as Hamas. Since October 7, Israeli troops have arrested more than 3,200 wanted Palestinians across the West Bank, including more than 1,350 affiliated with Hamas, according to security authorities.
The Palestinian Authority health ministry says that more than 400 West Bank Palestinians have been killed in that time.
Based on military estimates, the vast majority of those killed since October 7 were shot during clashes amid arrest raids, and many of them, according to data seen by The Times of Israel, were armed with either a firearm or an explosive device.
The IDF is aware of at least three cases of uninvolved Palestinians being killed by troops in recent months, and a handful of cases of settlers killing Palestinians, which are still under investigation.

[IsraelTimes] State media says missile fired through 4th-floor window in high-security neighborhood that houses Iranian facilities; no comment from IDF
An alleged Israeli Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... targeted an apartment in a residential building in the Kafr Sousa district in Syria’s capital Damascus on Wednesday, killing two people, Syrian state media and a security source said.
A military source cited by Syrian state TV said the morning strike maimed a number of other people, identifying the dead as civilians. Syria’s state-run SANA news agency said Israeli warplanes fired missiles at the building from over the Golan Heights.
SANA also published images of the aftermath of the attack, showing the outside of a multi-story building partially blackened with windows blown out, and a fire visible in one apartment that appeared to have been targeted.
The security source said the "attack did not achieve its aims." Later, Iran’s semi-official Student News Network said the attack did not kill any Iranian nationals or advisers.
The neighborhood hosts residential buildings, schools and Iranian cultural centers, and lies near a large, heavily guarded complex used by security agencies. The district was targeted in another alleged Israeli attack in February 2023 that killed Iranian military experts.
The pro-government Sham FM radio station said the strike hit a building near an Iranian school.
The strike damaged the fourth floor of the 10-story building, shattered window glass on nearby buildings and damaged dozens of cars parked in the area. An empty parked bus for the nearby al-Bawader Private School was also damaged and people were seen rushing to the school to take their children.
Hours later, at least one large blast was heard in the city. The Rooters witness said the force of the blast shook windows of homes in the capital. Local Syrian outlet Sham FM said several explosions were heard in the capital.
The cause of the second explosion was not immediately clear.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli military.
While Israel does not, as a rule, comment on specific strikes in Syria, it has admitted to conducting hundreds of sorties against Iran-backed terror groups attempting to gain a foothold in the country over the last decade. The Israeli military says it attacks arms shipments believed to be bound for those groups, chief among them Hezbollah. Additionally, airstrikes attributed to Israel have repeatedly targeted Syrian air defense systems.
Those strikes have apparently ramped up in line with flaring regional tensions since the devastating October 7 Hamas ...not a terrorist organization, even though it kidnaps people, holds hostages, and tries to negotiate by executing them,... attack on Israel, with more than half a dozen of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps officers killed in suspected Israeli strikes on Syria since December.
Last month, a strike attributed to Israel on the Syrian capital’s western neighborhood of Mazzeh destroyed a building used by the IRGC, killing at least five Iranians.
In December, an Israeli airstrike on a suburb of Damascus killed Iranian general Seyed Razi Mousavi, a longtime Guards adviser in Syria. Israel has also reportedly targeted Paleostinian and Lebanese operatives in Syria over the past years. As a result, the Guards have scaled back deployment of their senior officers in Syria and have planned to rely more on allied Shiite militias to preserve their sway there, sources familiar with the matter told Rooters earlier this month.
Also Wednesday, Lebanese media reports multiple airstrikes and sonic booms close to border with Israel. Lebanese media reported alleged Israeli airstrikes in the south of the country, as unverified photos and videos posted on social media show a large cloud of smoke and a number of smaller blasts in what appears to be a residential area. The strikes were reported in Iqlim al-Tuffah and Nabatieh in southern Lebanon, some 10 kilometers (6 miles) from the border with Israel.
Later, the IDF said it struck three Hezbollah command rooms in south Lebanon, as well as carried out artillery shelling to "remove threats" in Alma ash-Shab and Dhayra.
On Tuesday, the IDF said the 869th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit spotted several Hezbollah operatives entering a building in south Lebanon’s Yaroun, and quickly called in an airstrike against it.
Hezbollah has named 206 members who have been killed by Israel during the ongoing skirmishes, mostly in Lebanon but some also in Syria. In Lebanon, another 32 operatives from other terror groups, a Lebanese soldier, and at least 30 civilians, three of whom were journalists, have been killed.

The targets included a military post in south Lebanon’s Zibqin — from which a missile was fired earlier today at the northern community of Shlomi — an observation post in Khaim and other Hezbollah infrastructure, the IDF says.
The IDF adds that earlier today it also struck a Hezbollah observation post in Ramyeh and shelled an area near Aitaroun with artillery to "remove threats."
