Afghanistan
Daily Evacuation Brief February 2, 2023
[AfghanDigest] LAST 24 HOURS
  • HOUSE SEARCHES IN KABUL – Citizens living in Police Districts 15 and 3 reported random house searches in their neighborhoods yesterday by Taliban security forces. It is not clear what prompted the searches and whether a threat was anticipated. Sources have stated in previous reporting that a quota exists for searches and that periodic checks will continue to be a way of life for citizens in major cities. As of this printing, no arrests have been reported from yesterday’s search effort.

  • UZBEKISTAN SUSPENDS RAIL OPERATIONS TO AFGHANISTAN – In a troubling announcement, Uzbekistan officials have suspended rail operations to Afghanistan effective 1 February 2023. In the statement, Uzbekistan Railways (Sogdiana Transport) said that technical work obligations the Taliban regime had agreed to in December 2022 had not been implemented. The Afghanistan Railway Administration has yet to respond. Uzbekistan will assist with the transportation of commodities via trucks from Termez to Mazar-i-Sharif. However, costs are expected to be significantly higher and capacity will be drastically reduced. According to data from 2021, Uzbekistan exported nearly $500 million dollars in goods to Afghanistan. The primary commodities shipped by rail were: Grains ($282 million) and Petroleum Products ($124 million), with the remainder of goods, mainly consisting of other food-related items. The suspension will likely result in higher prices for food and fuel in the coming weeks.

  • IRAN RESUMES ISSUING VISAS IN HERAT – The Iranian consulate in Herat announced the reopening of its visa application process. A company that is linked to Iran has been designated as the sole provider of Visas in the city. Travel agents and Afghan-owned businesses who used to facilitate the visas for Afghans are in an uproar over the move as they

  • NATIONAL ID CARD (CNIC) IS CHANGING – The troubled roll-out of the Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) may be delayed after changes to the card were mandated by Taliban officials. New fields of information have reputedly been added that include an expiration date and also add the District where the cardholders originated (in addition to Province). It is not clear if those cards that have already been issued would be recalled. Observers are concerned about the addition of a District field as they say it could be used to discriminate against those from areas where the Resistance or ethnic minorities are concentrated. As the cards are needed to apply for a passport, we felt it important to include this information in our brief.

NEXT 24 HOURS
  • HOUSE SEARCHES IN POLICE DISTRICT 10 POSSIBLE – A source said that Police District 10 was expected to be searched today. There was no information provided as to the target of the searches. At-risk Afghans living in this area are likely to see heavy security force traffic and may have their homes searched. As stated previously, we have not received any indication that arrests were made during yesterday’s searches. We recommend that at-risk Afghans take the standard precautions of securing their documents, hiding any flags or paraphernalia from the previous regime that might be on display, hiding any significant sums of money, and sanitizing any potentially questionable information on their cell phones or computers.

  • HEAVY RAINS IN THE CENTRAL AND NORTHWEST FORECASTED FOR THE NEXT 48HRS – Flooding is expected in some areas of Badakhshan, Maidan Wardak, Bamyan, Daykundi, Ghor, Sarpul, Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Badghis, Herat, and Farah Provinces. The rain is expected to prompt snow-melt and will affect several roads. Ground transport could present a risk in these areas at this time. At-risk Afghans are encouraged to check road conditions before setting out on any travel.

Mortars land near Somali presidential palace in Mogadishu
[ShabelleMedia] FOUR mortars went kaboom! near the Somali presidential palace in Mogadishu on Wednesday morning as the country holds a crucial summit against al-Shabaab
...... the Islamic version of the old Somali warlord...
The attack was confirmed by residents in areas close to a presidential palace in what could be a sign that al-Shabaab can hit areas considered safe and reach closer to the heart of the government’s seat of power in the capital.

The state news service said "terrorists" fired the rounds that struck near the walls of Villa Somalia. The government labels al-Shabaab fighters as "terrorists."

No casualties were reported and it was unclear whether President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud was in the palace at the time of the mortar shelling.

Mohamud often uses the palace under AU troops’ protection to receive dignitaries and as a guest house for foreign officials during their visits to Somalia.

For security reasons, the president is hosting a regional conference with Kenya, Djibouti, and Æthiopian leaders at an airport hotel, which is located next to AU military base camp.

The one-day meeting seeks a united front against al-Shabaab threat to the Horn of Africa security after SNA and locals dealt a major blow to the Lions of Islam in the current offensive.

No one has immediately grabbed credit. al-Qaeda-aligned bully boy group al-Shabaab carried out nearly a dozen attacks, including liquidations, explosions and gun assaults on security checkpoints in Mogadishu over the past few months.

U.S., International Forces Seize Illegal Drugs In Gulf Of Oman
[NavalNews] U.S. Navy press release:

U.S. Coast Guard cutter USCGC Emlen Tunnell (WPC 1145) was patrolling regional waters in support of Combined Task Force (CTF) 150 when it seized 4,000 kilograms of hashish and 512 kilograms of methamphetamine from the smuggling vessel.

Currently led by the United Kingdom Royal Navy, CTF 150 is one of four task forces organized under the Combined Maritime Forces (CMF). This was the first drug seizure in 2023 for CMF.

“This is just the beginning of our work in delivering maritime security operations in the region to stop illicit activities and drug smuggling,” said UK Royal Navy Capt. James Byron, the CTF 150 commander. “This comes as a result of a valued partnership between CTF 150 and all partner nations in Combined Maritime Forces.”

Byron assumed command of the multinational task force Jan. 18 after Royal Saudi Navy Rear Adm. Abdullah Al-Mutairi led the unit for six months.

Under Al-Mutairi’s leadership, CTF 150 ships logged more than 10,000 hours on regional patrols and intercepted six shipments of illegal drugs that included opium, heroin, hashish and amphetamines. The combined estimated value of the seized drugs totaled more than $250 million.

Since 2021, CMF has interdicted $1 billion worth of illicit narcotics during maritime patrols. CMF is the largest international naval partnership in the world consisting of 38 member-nations and partners.

Caucasus/Russia/Central Asia
Case on participation of a native of Chechnya in Basayev's raid on Dagestan submitted to court
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The case of Alexander Ponomarenko, a native of Chechnya, was sent to court, accused of participating in the attack of militants Basayev
... Shamil Salmanovich Basayev, also known by his kunya "Abu Idris" and Emir Abdullah Shamil Abu-Idris (1965-2006). Chechen warlord in the post-Soviet Chechen Republic of Ichkeria, which after his death became the Al Qaeda-linked Caucasus Emirate. In 2015 most of the hard boys changed their allegiance to the local Islamic State affiliate, Vilayat Kavkaz, whereupon a majority chose to escape the Russians hunting them by moving making hijra to the caliphate in Syria. Some of his projects were the 2004 Beslan school siege and the 2002 Moscow theater hostage crisis...
and Khattab
.... his mother called him Samir Saleh Abdullah Al Suwailim when she was annoyed (1969-2002). Probably Saudi born, joined the Afghan Mujahideen fighting the Soviets at the age of 17, then toured various jihadi conflicts in Central Asia and the Balkans until he ended up commanding a group of international jihadis in Chechnya, where the Russians cleverly killed him with a poisoned letter. Pioneering propagandist for the cause, establisher of training camps, fundraiser and international bagman, and friend of Osama bin Laden...
on Dagestan, the Investigative Committee reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in July 2021, human rights activists announced that 38-year-old Sochi resident Alexander Ponomarenko was accused of participating in the attack of militants on Dagestan based on the testimony of two witnesses, one of whom was classified, and the second was convicted in a similar case and often involved by the investigation for the fabrication of criminal cases.

According to investigators, in mid-July 1999, Ponomarenko voluntarily joined the Basayev and Khattab group and took part in the seizure of a number of settlements in the Botlikh region with the aim of "violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation." Relatives of Ponomarenko called the accusation fabricated, noting that the results of the lie detector test  speak in favor of innocence.

The lawyer turned to the Investigative Committee with a statement about the use of torture against Ponomarenko in order to obtain a confession in crimes that he did not commit.

The Department of the Investigative Committee for the North Caucasus Federal District has completed the investigation of the criminal case of Alexander Ponomarenko, a native of Chechnya. The case under Part 2 of Article 209, Articles 279 and 317 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (participation in a stable armed group (gang), active participation in an armed rebellion, encroachment on the life of military personnel) was sent to court for consideration on the merits, the press service of the Investigative Committee reported today.

"The investigation established that in August 1999, Ponomarenko, acting as part of a stable armed group under the general leadership of Shamil Basayev and Emir Khattab, took an active part in an armed rebellion. In order to overthrow the constitutional order and violate the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation, militants armed with automatic weapons, grenades and explosive devices, with a total number of at least 1,000 people, committed an encroachment on the lives of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, who ensure public security and restore constitutional order on the territory of the Botlikh region," the ministry's website said. The TFR did not specify which court the case was sent to.

Recall that the mass penetration of militants into Dagestan began on August 7, 1999. The villages of Ansalta, Rakhata, Shodroda and Godoberi of the Botlikh region were immediately seized, and over the next few days other settlements in the Botlikh and Tsumadinsky regions were captured, the "Caucasian Knot" report " Invasion of militants into Dagestan " says.

Cases on participation in the actions of Basayev and Khattab gangs are of the same type and are often falsified, cases are fabricated against the innocent , lawyer Narine Hayrapetyan told the "Caucasian Knot" earlier. “When people did not participate, but under threat, including torture, other people are forced to testify against them... to testify on the events of 1999 against persons whom he had never known before," Hayrapetyan said.

Iranian illegal immigrant on terror watch list caught near southern border
[FoxNews] Texas authorities caught 29-year-old Alireza Heidari being smuggled in vehicle.

Texas law enforcement arrested an Iranian illegal immigrant at the southern border last week whose name and date of birth were initially flagged as a match on the FBI’s terror watchlist, but who a DHS official tells Fox News was ultimately determined not to be a match on the database after further vetting.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) arrested 29-year-old Alireza Heidari last week after a traffic stop involving a human smuggler at the border in Val Verde County, Texas as part of Operation Lone Star.

Heidari was being smuggled in the vehicle along with four other illegal immigrants. He was located in the trunk. Fox is told that Heidari was handed over to Border Patrol custody and later determined to be a match of the FBI’s Terrorist Screening Database (TSDB).

Fox reached out to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP) on Thursday and multiple times since. Only on Tuesday did DHS refer Fox to the FBI, which declined to comment. The FBI’s website says it does not confirm anyone’s status on the watchlist.
Then what use is it?
However, on Wednesday, a DHS official told Fox News that after further vetting, Homeland Security officials determined that Heidari was not a match on the TSDB.

The FBI's TSDB contains information about the identities of those who are "reasonably suspected" of being involved in terrorism or related activities. There were 17 people stopped by Border Patrol in December alone whose names matched on the list. That brings the total of individuals arrested at the southern border between ports of entry to 38 since October.

There were 98 terror watchlist arrests in FY22, 15 in FY21 and just three in FY 20 at the southern border caught between ports of entry.

At the ports of entry at the northern and southern borders, meanwhile, CBP’s Office of Field Operations has encountered 125 people on the TSDB so far this fiscal year. In FY 2022 there were 380 apprehensions, 157 in FY21 and 196 in FY20.

The increase in apprehensions between ports of entry has raised concerns that, amid a historic spike in illegal immigration across the southern border, illegal criminals and terrorists could be slipping by overwhelmed Border Patrol agents.

So far this fiscal year, nearly 300,000 illegal immigrants have evaded Border Patrol, with an average of 2,450 a day in the last 120 days, sources told Fox News last week.

In fiscal 2022, there were nearly 600,000 gotaways. There were 389,155 gotaways at the border in fiscal 2021, and fiscal 2023 is on track to easily outpace those numbers. Last week, agents told Fox News there have been more than 1.2 million gotaways during the Biden administration.

Tom Homan, a former acting Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) director, told Fox News on Saturday that the number should "scare the hell out of every American" and said there was a reason these migrants are not turning themselves in to Border Patrol to be processed and released into the U.S.

"Why would they not take advantage of the program? Because they don't want to be fingerprinted, and there's a reason for that."

#1  How is this not causing massive public anger at the purposeful abandonment of our sovereign borders for political advantage by the democrats? For every suspect caught, how many more have disappeared into the interior and find waiting support systems at a radical mosque in a major urban area?

"Border enforcement officials apprehended more than three dozen people named on the federal terrorism watchlist at the US-Mexico frontier in the final three months of 2022 — after a record number of terror suspects were caught in the 12 months ending Sept. 30 last year.

According to US Customs and Border Protection, 38 people identified as known terrorists, suspected terrorists or associates of both were stopped while attempting to cross into the US between official points of entry since Oct. 1.

In fiscal year 2022, CBP apprehended 98 people whose names appeared on the terror watchlist trying enter the US illegally. That number is on pace to top 150 in fiscal year 2023."

Iraq
Iran-backed group claims ineffective rocket attack on Turkish base in Kurdish Iraq
[Rudaw] Several rockets targeted Zilkan military base hosting Ottoman Turkish troops in northern Iraq on Wednesday morning without resulting in any casualties, the Kurdistan Region’s counter-terrorism forces reported.

The Erbil-based Directorate General of Counter Terrorism (CTD) said that at least eight rockets targeted the military base in the northern Iraqi province of Nineveh, with two of the rockets landing inside the base, while the others landed in its vicinity.

The Islamic Resistance® Ahrar al-Iraq Brigade, an Iran-backed armed faction, grabbed credit for the attack through its telegram channels, saying they had fired 20 rockets at the military base, threatening to expand their operations into Ottoman Turkish land.

"We declare that our operations are continuing and in continuous development, and will not stop except with the immediate and complete withdrawal of the occupier [Ottoman Turkish forces]. And if the occupier insists on staying, our operations will expand and target military positions inside Ottoman Turkish land, and God is witness to what we say," read a statement from the faction.

Zilkan military base has been frequently targeted in recent years, and the attacks are largely attributed to Iran-backed Iraqi militias.

The Islamic Resistance® Ahrar al-Iraq Brigade has previously grabbed credit for several other attacks on military bases hosting Ottoman Turkish troops in Iraq, including an attack on Zilkan in December.

The presence of Ottoman Turkish forces in the base has been widely condemned by the Iraqi government, with criticism reaching a peak when a deadly shelling in July blamed on The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire...
killed nine Iraqi tourists and injured tens of others.
The Times of Israel adds:
A Ottoman Turkish defense ministry official said there was no damage or injury at the base but did not provide further details. The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with regulations.

Turkey has been conducting military operations in northern Iraq since 2019, with both ground and air forces, to battle the banned Kurdistan Workers’ Party, or PKK, which has been waging a decades-long insurgency against Ankara.

The PKK maintains training bases and sanctuaries in the Kurdish Iraqi region. Ottoman Turkish troops have frequently launched Arclight airstrike
...KABOOM!...
s targeting the PKK.

Turkey has also set up several bases in the area — much to the displeasure of Baghdad officials and some in the regional Iraqi Kurdish government, which has not officially condemned the Ottoman Turkish troop presence. The facilities have occasionally been targeted in rocket attacks.

The Iraqi government has frequently condemned Turkey’s military presence, often describing it as illegal.

Israel-Palestine-Jordan
Settler to be charged with hate crime for torching Palestinian car
Tit for tat is the only way to get through to some people.
[IsraelTimes] Shin Bet says 22-year-old from Ma’ale Efraim was known to security forces; incident in early January was allegedly a response to stone-throwing attacks

The Shin Bet security agency on Tuesday said a 22-year-old settler had been arrested for an alleged hate crime against Paleostinians in the West Bank earlier this month.

According to the Shin Bet, on January 2, Israeli troops were called to respond to an incident of stone-throwing by Paleostinians against Israeli motorists on the Route 60 highway, near the West Bank town of Turmus Ayya, near Ramallah.

While the soldiers were trying to locate the Paleostinians, an Israeli man from the settlement of Ma’ale Efraim arrived in the Paleostinian town and set fire to a vehicle, the Shin Bet charged.

"This is an act that harms the military force’s ability to carry out its mission and may even endanger it," the agency said.

The Shin Bet said the 22-year-old was previously known to security forces, and an indictment charging him with a racially motivated hate crime would be filed in the coming days.

"Taking the law into one’s own hands and carrying out attacks and hate crimes, especially when these are done against uninvolved Paleostinians, harms the security of the region, expands the circle of terror, and interferes with the efforts of the security forces against Paleostinian terrorism," the Shin Bet added.

Anti-Paleostinian vandalism by Jewish Lions of Islam is a common occurrence in the West Bank.

Incidents of vandalism against Paleostinians and Israeli security forces are commonly referred to as "price tag" attacks, with perpetrators claiming they are retaliation for Paleostinian violence or government policies seen as hostile to the settler movement.

Arrests of perpetrators are exceedingly rare and rights groups lament that convictions are even more unusual, with the majority of charges in such cases being dropped.

Reported incidents of nationalist crimes against Paleostinians in the West Bank have soared in recent days.

On Sunday, masked attackers set alight a car in Turmus Ayya, destroying the vehicle and causing damage to the home where it was parked, Paleostinian sources and rights groups said.

Another car was set alight and graffiti saying "Jews, wake up" was sprayed on a wall in the Paleostinian village of Jaloud, near the West Bank city of Nablus.

In other violence, Paleostinians said settlers attacked cars and property in a number of locations across the West Bank, including in Huwara, where they reportedly smashed shop windows. Local Paleostinians reportedly hurled stones at the settlers to drive them off.

The vandalism came in the wake of several Paleostinian terror attacks over the weekend that killed seven Israelis and seriously injured five others.

"Incidents of settler violence in the West Bank are not stopping and the army is doing nothing to prevent them. We demand that the defense minister handle these horrific events with severity," the Yesh Din rights group said in a statement on Monday.

#6  "Jewish Lions of Islam" WTF is this anti-Semitic bullshit?

If you look very closely at the article, Fat Bob Thrart2867, you’ll notice that Lions of Islam has a pale grey dotted line underneath. That’s our signal that Fred’s cute little auto-translator has made its mark once again. If you then click on the headline to go to the original Times of Israel article, you’ll discover that Lions of Islam is the translation of extremist. No antisemitism involved. :-)

Israel bombs Hamas sites in retaliatory Gaza strikes; rocket sirens sound in Sderot
[IsraelTimes] Army says facilities storing chemicals for missiles and for manufacturing weapons hit; small gang claims second volley of rockets in response to sanctions against prisoners

Israel Air Force warplanes carried out sorties in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
Strip early Thursday in response to a rocket attack on southern Israel hours earlier, as a new round of rocket alarms sounded in Sderot and nearby towns, the military said. The Israel Defense Forces said its jets bombed a site where the Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", terror group stores chemicals used to make missiles. It also struck a facility where the group manufactures weaponry, the army said.

IDF arrests 2 Syrians for attempting to smuggle 21 kilos of hash
[IsraelTimes] Incidents of drug-running on Golan Heights border are thought to be relatively rare; pair detained near Druze town of Majdal Shams

In a rare incident, Israeli security forces on Tuesday arrested two Syrian men who allegedly attempted to smuggle drugs into Israel.

The Israel Defense Forces said soldiers monitoring surveillance cameras spotted the two suspects close to the border fence near the northern Druze town of Majdal Shams.

Soldiers and coppers dispatched to the scene arrested the pair and found them to be carrying 21 kilograms (46 pounds) of hashish, with an estimated value of hundreds of thousands of shekels.

The Syrians, aged 30 and 33, are to be brought before a court on Wednesday to extend their remand, police said.

Incidents of drug smuggling on the border with Syria are thought to be relatively rare.

The smuggling attempt came after another unusual incident on the Syrian border this week.

Two armed Syrians approached the Israeli border in the southern Golan Heights on Sunday. One was rubbed out by troops and the second fled.

According to the IDF’s initial probe, the pair were likely hunters, and were not attempting to perpetrate an attack on the border.

A few weeks ago, the IDF said troops detained five suspects who crossed into Israeli territory from Syria. In December, two similar incidents occurred.

Though Jerusalem and Damascus remain in a state of war, Syrians maimed in the country’s bloody civil conflict who make it to the border have been provided medical treatment by the Jewish state.

Masked suspect hurls firebomb at New Jersey synagogue
[IsraelTimes] Police search for attacker after suspected hate crime against Temple Ner Tamid; no injuries or damage caused by late-night incident

A suspected attacker hurled a Molotov cocktail at a synagogue in New Jersey early Sunday morning, police said, as US Jewish communities continue to grapple with surging antisemitism and anti-Jewish hate crimes.
A Molotov cocktail sails through the air and lands in flames, and the guy's only a suspected attacker?
Temple Ner Tamid’s security cameras recorded the suspect approaching the synagogue at 3:19 a.m. The man lit a molotov cocktail, threw it at the building’s door, and fled down the driveway.
Bravely ran away down the driveway did he?
The bottle broke on impact but did not cause damage to the synagogue, said the town of Bloomfield’s police department, adding that the suspect appears to be a white male.
Or a transgender busy menstruating...
Police responded to a report of damage at the synagogue later Sunday morning and are classifying the attack as a bias incident and attempted arson.
Do tell! Well, pickle me for a herring!
Images from the surveillance camera showed a masked man dressed in black with what appears to be a skull and crossbones on his shirt.
Black bloc in a Punisher tee-shirt? Terrorizing a Noo Joisey synagogue? Hard to believe, ain't it?
The synagogue said the fire went out on impact, there was no visible damage to the building, and the door remained secure. Synagogue staff and security found the bottle when they arrived on Sunday morning.
... contributing to my theory that it was Antifa ineptitude. How hard is it to put some gasoline into a bottle, insert a rag of a fuse, light it, and hit a damned door?
Ner Tamid canceled activities on Sunday and said there will likely be a heightened police presence at the synagogue in the coming days.
"Church is cancelled today!"
"Yer a synagogue! You ain't got church services on Sundays!"
"Interdenominational services are cancelled today!"

Sunday school, because you can’t have formal instruction on the Sabbath, board and committee meetings, brotherhood and sisterhood meetings to keep the parents busy and involved while the kids are in Sunday school... lots going on at “the syn” on Sunday!
"We have and will continue to do everything in our power to keep our community safe. Everything worked as it should. Our cameras recorded the incident and our shatter-resistant doors held," Rabbi Marc Katz said in a statement.
"Are you the rabbi?"
"No. I'm the mohel!"
"Don't get snippy with me, fella!"

*choke* Why do I never expect these things?!
"There is hate everywhere, and hate wins when we let it penetrate. When the weight of this grows too heavy, I remind my congregation that every day, despite what is happening, in Jewish communities around the world, babies are named, children are educated, people are married. Our religious traditions continue," Katz said.
So do Episcopalians, so you ain't sayin' much, rabbi.
Ner Tamid is a Reform congregation that offers religious classes to children from kindergarten to the 6th grade.
"Oh, they're gentiles by then! We're Reform, y'know."
Bloomfield is in Essex County, around 30 minutes by car west of Manhattan.
Always assuming you make it out of Manhattan alive. They're Bail Reformed.
The Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest, New Jersey, said its security officer was working to address the incident with local law enforcement, Homeland Security and other Jewish security groups. The Anti-Defamation League, the Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey, the American Jewish Committee and two Jewish community security groups issued a joint statement condemning the attack. The statement said there were no known additional threats.
Did they know about this one? Not very reassuring.
That’s why smart synagogues have on-site security whenever there are people in the building, and the security team trains regularly with the police, Homeland Security, and such. 9/11 was a wake up call.
The Israeli consulate in New York said it stands "with Jewish communities from NJ to Jerusalem in the face of antisemitic violence and intimidation."
On the other hand, the Israeli consulate wasn't attacked. Live ammunition is a powerful deterrent.
State officials also said there was a Saturday attack against a church in central New Jersey.
The guy's not real sure which day is which, is he?
New Jersey Attorney General Matthew J. Platkin said, "We are cognizant of the fact that these attacks have occurred while violence continues to erupt in Israel, and while our own nation reckons with violence at home."
Vanilla pudding.
New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy said, "There is no place for violence or hate in New Jersey and I strongly condemn these acts."
Yeah. Us too. That and $4.95 will get you a cup of coffee.
