WA State Fed COVID Money Going to Non-White 'Woke' Political Groups – Including The Bail Project
[PJ] Before cheering on more congressional spending for COVID "relief," the latest news out of Washington State may give you pause.

Your federal COVID "relief" dollars — $900 billion so far, with more on the way — are being spent by some states to fund far-Left political groups, such as The Bail Project—which, as its name suggests, doles out bail money—a soft-on-crime justice lobbying group. As I reported earlier in PJ Media, The Bail Project supports at least one antifa-related group.

In a story for My Northwest, Seattle radio talk host Jason Rantz reports that groups receiving the $12 million in federal COVID funds given to Washington State were required to be run by racial minorities.

Rantz reports that groups led by white people were not allowed to receive money.

Oregon, which has similar guidelines for disbursement, is currently the target of a class-action lawsuit for requiring an unconstitutional race test to receive federal dollars.

Groups that helped the entire swath of community members, but were led by white people, were not given priority for these funds. Rantz linked to a list of those groups, which one might assume would be helpful in divvying up the money for people hard hit by COVID. The groups not given money included an American Legion post, Alliance for Education, Big Brothers and Big Sisters groups, food banks, city ministries, museums, free clinics, and myriad others.

Which groups passed the race-based review? The Council on American Islamic Relations of Washington received $50,000. The Climate Justice Initiative also got some money.

We’re sure that the Seattle World Percussion Society is a great group, but how does giving it $25,000 help fight COVID again?

#1  I know a guy who goes on and on each day about how he needs the next round of stimulus checks to go out so 1) some people can come buy stuff junk out of his garage and back yard from him and 2) he can use his check to go buy stuff he wants (not stuff he needs to keep body and sould together, mind you.) If it weren't for the people who actually need it, I'd be happy to see no more stimulus just to listen to him whine.

Biden NOT ruling out EXECUTIVE action to bypass Congress, get GUN CONTROL: ‘Not afraid of NRA' says Psaki
[Right Scoop] At Tuesday’s press briefing, Jen Psaki was asked twice about Biden instituting draconian gun control (the draconian is implied) and she POINTEDLY chose not to rule out Biden just waving the magic executive action pen to bypass Congress and, oh yeah, that little old silly document weirdos are always worrying about called the UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION.

Check it out. It’s transparent what they’ve got planned.

In the first clip, the reporter asks about timeframe for "common sense" (see? Draconian implied.) gun control going through congress.

"The President [asterisk implied] is somebody throughout his career who has advocated for smart gun safety measures, he has not afraid of standing up to the NRA, he’s done it multiple times and won," she said, without committing to a timeline or even sending through congress at all.

#2  Nice insight into the liberal mind. To the left an NGO is an astroturf organization created to ram through policies. They never consider that the NRA isn't the same, but just a group that represents millions and millions of Americans (who vote).

Also, there is the Constitution. I suspect Biden will try to model California's gun laws nationally as a start since they've mostly been tested by law already. Then he can move forward and make bold claims of his accomplishments.

Ossoff Refuses to Release ‘Further Financial Information' After Controversial Payments Surface Georgia Dem cashed checks from China
[Free Beacon] Even after a number of controversial payments to Jon Ossoff's foreign film company surfaced in September—including one from a Chinese-backed media giant—the Georgia Democrat refused to release additional financial documents from the company.

In a recent interview with the Washington Post, Ossoff declined the outlet's request to "release further financial information" relating to his company, noting that "the particulars of our annual finances are confidential." The refusal comes months after Ossoff quietly disclosed receiving at least $5,000 from PCCW, a Hong Kong-based media corporation owned in part by the Chinese Communist Party.

Ossoff's withholding of financial information could undermine his ability to fend off attacks from his Republican opponent. Senator David Perdue has criticized Ossoff for accepting funds from a "communist Chinese news agency" and called on him to explain "where his money comes from" in an October debate.

Ossoff failed to include the PCCW payment in his May candidate financial disclosure before revealing it nearly two months later in an amended filing. While his campaign initially blamed the discrepancy on a "paperwork oversight," spokeswoman Miryam Lipper later told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the payment was "around $1,000." Senate ethics rules, however, only require candidates to disclose payments exceeding $5,000. Lipper responded by telling the Journal-Constitution that—despite falling below the reporting threshold—the payment was disclosed "in the interest of transparency."

Trump sued for Capitol attack under ‘Ku Klux Klan Act’
[IsraelTimes] A senior Democratic congressman sues former US president Donald Trump
...His ancestors didn't own any slaves...
, accusing him of violating the 19th century "Ku Klux Klan Act" by supporting the January 6 attack on the US Capitol.

Bennie Thompson
D, of course, representing Jackson, Mississippi and environs...
accuses Trump, his lawyer Rudy Giuliani, and krazed killer groups the Proud Boys and Oath Keepers of violating the 1871 act by supporting efforts to stop Congress from certifying Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden
...Candidate for president in 2020. You're a lyin' dog-faced pony soldier...
as the new US president.

Thompson, who is Black and the chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, cites a law originally created to protect the rights of African Americans after the Civil War and the end of slavery.
Goodness. They must be really desperate to keep The Donald silent if they’re trying something this silly.
The lawsuit is filed in federal court in Washington two days after Trump was acquitted of supporting insurrection in an impeachment trial in the Senate.

#2  While I'm not a lawyer, I'm having trouble understanding how a civil tort of this nature (which this looks to be), brought by a legislator apparently outside of the normal prosecutorial process (for them), citing law normally prosecuted by the Feds, has standing in any courtroom not presided over by an Obama appointee. Or did I just answer my own question?

#13  the legality matters not. this is just creating a talking point so the media can associate Trump with Ku Klux Klan.

Actually, thanks to the bright lights on the Michigan Court of Appeals they can now rely on the Aesop Clause, aka "a man is known by the company he keeps."

That sturdy principle of common law cited by the Michigan judge who wrote the opinion in the Appeals Court's overturning of the conviction for libel in the case of a man who had been falsely accused by the Detroit News as a "leader of the Ku Klux Klan"-- a complete, total fabrication.

Liberal media fawn over Biden's bedtime, fireplace. Alexa dialogue, and video game-playing
[WND] The establishment media is fawning over President Joe Biden’s early bedtimes, his use of the Oval office fireplace and even his video game-playing habits as we’ve entered into a new era in media coverage of the White House.

While the coverage was vile, antagonistic and many times outright and intentionally dishonest when former President Donald Trump occupied the same position, reporters are now covering up Biden’s disastrous first four weeks by blanketing the 78-year-old with favorable coverage that's beyond parody.

Of course, we knew to a degree with would happen. The activist media told us as much. But so far, some of the recent reports feel like satire.

Rather than focus on those who could lose potentially everything through Biden’s decision to cancel the Keystone XL pipeline with the stroke of a pen, or his community-straining executive orders on immigration, CNN on Monday wrote a story about how Biden sometimes like to put a log on the fire in the White House fireplace before calling a lid and going to sleep.

The network actually framed Biden’s low-energy activities and his schedule as if they were some sort of positive after its self-proclaimed journalists treated Trump, the hardest-working president in recent memory, like dirt.

Mayor Bill de Blasio for video pushing NYC arts while city collapses
[The Blaze] Popular podcaster Joe Rogan and other cultural commentators blasted New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio over a video touting the arts and culture — featuring mask-wearing dancers doing interpretive jumps on a street, no less — while the city continues to collapse under the weight of several factors, most notably the coronavirus.

While the dancers do their thing, de Blasio explains that "if we really want to bring back the heart and soul of New York City, we need our arts and culture back, and we need people to see it and feel it, to participate in it" — and for folks to know that the "essence of New York City has not been defeated by the coronavirus."
