Keep it civil, even if this Dem POS didn't
[Fox News] A California mayor who recently said he would resign over social media posts comparing Trump supporters to members of the Ku Klux Klan was killed in a plane crash Saturday, according to a report.
Auburn Mayor Bill Kirby was identified as the person killed when a small plane went down near Auburn Airport just after 11 a.m. local time, FOX 40 Sacramento reported. "I have insider information that will lead to the arrest and conviction of Hillary Clint..."
The other person on the plane apparently survived but there was no immediate information about that person’s identity or medical condition.
Kirby, who was also a physician, took heat from Auburn residents earlier this week during a city council meeting that was conducted by video because of the coronavirus outbreak.
In one of the posts, the mayor allegedly shared a photo of a Ku Klux Klan hood, with the caption, "Good news for Trump supporters is that most of them already have masks," FOX 40 reported. The post was later taken down.
Kirby told residents he blamed President Trump for a lack of proper gear and testing capabilities in his work as a physician. Unlike the Lightbringer
"This president has put us all at risk," Kirby said.
During the city council meeting, officials and the public heard a string of voicemails that the council had received from residents infuriated by Kirby’s online posts.
"These comments are hateful, degrading, bigoted and more consistent with the mentality of a 15-year-old," one voicemail said, according to FOX 40.
The mayor appeared remorseful at the meeting when he talked about the posts.
"I spent 40 years dedicating my life to serving the community of Auburn as a physician and through my volunteer efforts. Am I perfect? No. We’re all a little flawed," Kirby said.
Kirby said he planned to step down as mayor at the next council meeting on April 27.
The plane crash is being investigated by the National Transportation Safety Board and the Federal Aviation Administration, California state fire officials told the station.
Auburn is a city of about 13,000 residents located about 33 miles northeast of Sacramento.

Life goes on. The new anger that "quarantine forever" idiots will be feeling this summer is the wave we are waiting to catch.

My Mama always said that if you can't say anything nice (especially about the dead), don't say anything at all.
So I'll shut up, except to say condolences to his family.

Keep it civil, even if this Dem POS didn't
The problem is that assholes like Mayor Red Smear operate on the assumption that deplorables will always be civil in the face of their provocations, which in turn leads them to escalate.
It may be time to carefully re-examine the Boy Scout mindset and ask ourselves if we aren't actually making things worse with it.
[JusttheNews] House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is facing a barrage of backlash for showing off her pricey refrigerators on CBS's "The Late Late Show with James Corden," with critics on social media saying the display lacks sensitivity for Americans suffering financially during the coronavirus.
Pelosi, first elected to Congress in 1987, tweeted out a clip of her appearance on the show, writing, "We all have found our ways to keep our spirits up during these trying times. Mine just happens to fill up my freezer."
Glenn Greenwald, co-founder of the Intercept, reacted to the clip and argued that Pelosi is "tone-deaf."
"Her two huge refrigerators by themselves cost more than many people make in a year," Greenwald tweeted.
"It's so revealing that the politician Dems adore most is one of the richest members of Congress," he also wrote in the post. "Pelosi has been so rich for so long that she can't see how tone-deaf this is. It's her normal,"
The GOP's rapid response Director Steve Guest said: "While Nancy Pelosi sits in her ivory tower in San Francisco, eating $13 dollar a pint ice cream out of her $24,000 fridge, she is cheering on Democrats for blocking coronavirus relief aid that has so far been distributed to 1.3 million small businesses that is about to run out."
Guest was referring to Pelosi's position that she will fund the depleted Paycheck Protection Program with an additional $250 billion as long as more funding for states and hospitals is included in the legislation.
The backlash comes amid images nationwide of Americans who lost work as a result of the coronavirus shutdown and others waiting in miles-long food bank lines.
Former Vice President Joe Biden reacted to the clip of Pelosi with the refrigerators, saying, "You have great taste @SpeakerPelosi."
Michael Sayman of Google also responded to the video of Pelosi's refrigerators on Twitter.
"Stuff like this is going to cost us the election in November," he wrote.

No consideration for other people: now that Kim Jong-un seen it, he'll want two refrigerators of ice cream of his own - hundreds of people will be executed for failure to provide.

We need to go to all consumption taxes. Let the people who can afford the $30k fridge and the $3500.00 bassetbaw ticket pay. Let the working man off the hook.

These attempts to be folksy are just pathetic. There was that one with Lizzie Warren drinking a beer. GTFOH.
[NYPost] As the president of the United States shelters in place with the White House press corps, and Joe Biden gibbers senselessly into the GoPro camera in his Delaware basement, this fall’s national election has been thrown into a cocked tricorn by the coronavirus. Many of Donald Trump’s retail-politicking strengths — the huge rallies, his command of crowds — have been neutralized, and while he still has control of the narrative from his bully pulpit in the West Wing, the national media remains dead set against him, and puts the worst possible spin on every word he speaks.
Meanwhile, Biden and his wandering hands are safely confined to quarters instead of out on the campaign trail, which shields the Democrats from more possible fallout over not only his past behavior but his full-throated endorsement of Communist China throughout his career. The donkey party is thus free to market the cardboard-cutout version of its candidate, having finally accomplished their mission of running a generic Democrat against Orange Man Bad, without ever having to expose him to the general public.
No wonder there’s talk on the Left of canceling the conventions and running an all-mail election. The further away the country stays from reopening, the better their chances.
Still, as 2016 demonstrated, even when the fix is in, you never know. What the Democrats need in order to be sure of beating Trump is the perfect vice presidential candidate, one who will not only balance the ticket, push progressive causes, and check all the social-justice boxes but who will turn out the African-American vote in droves without Biden’s having to say a word or lift a finger.
Biden’s already on record as saying he’ll choose a woman. But none of the defeated female candidates for the nomination, including Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar, excited much interest from the Democratic base during the primaries, and while there’s a small Stacey Abrams boomlet currently going on, her record as the defeated candidate for Georgia governor doesn’t inspire much confidence — even if, in her own mind, she still thinks she won.
So the choice is clear: Michelle Obama. Never mind that she has even less political experience than Hillary Clinton did when she ran for the White House, and has long said she disdains public office.
Mrs. Obama has made it clear she loathes politicians and voters, too, which will make that whole running for office thingy more interesting than usual.
Currently, Michelle is in talks to possibly endorse Biden via a video and is said to be lending her name to a campaign fundraiser as early as next week, according to The Hill. "If she engages, God help Donald Trump, because she’s tough as nails and enormously popular," former Democratic Party chairman of South Carolina Dick Harpootlian told the outlet. With her husband finally having endorsed Biden last week, the stage is now set.

Why do people think that being First Lady in anyway qualifies someone to be president? Would you want to fly in a plane flown by the wife of a pilot? Or have surgery done by the wife of a surgeon?

This is the intent of the parliamentary form of government. Make it impossible for a government to function. I'll admit I'm beginning to find that attractive...though the SF story concept of "The Bureau of Sabotage" is even more attractive...
