[Breitbart] U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement carried out a targeted enforcement operation last week that landed more than 400 illegal aliens in jail. During the same period, the Houston Field Office deported more than five hundred aliens who exhausted their due process and had been ordered removed from the United States.
“In recent years, some of the world’s most dangerous fugitives, transnational gang members, and criminal aliens have taken advantage of the crisis at our nation’s southern border to enter the U.S. illegally,” ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Houston Field Office Director Bret Bradford said in a written statement. “After illegally entering the country, these violent criminal aliens have infiltrated our local communities and reigned terror on law-abiding residents, leaving countless innocent victims in their wake.”
From May 4 through May 10, Houston ERO officers and other federal and state of Texas law enforcement agencies rounded up 411 illegal aliens. Officials said these included 2296 criminal aliens — many with convictions for violent offenses. Those arrested included:
A 46-year-old criminal alien from Colombia, arrested May 7, has been convicted in Colombia of homicide and providing false information to law enforcement.
A 40-year-old three-time deported criminal alien from Mexico arrested May 8, who has been convicted three times for possession of a controlled substance, twice for illegal discharge of a firearm, and once for arson, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, illegal entry, criminal mischief, and driving while intoxicated.
A 32-year-old five-time deported criminal alien from Mexico arrested May 7, who has been convicted twice for burglary, larceny, and illegal reentry, and once for aggravated assault.
A 45-year-old criminal alien from Mexico, arrested May 5, who has been convicted of sexual exploitation of a minor.
A 72-year-old criminal alien from Mexico arrested May 6, who has been convicted of homicide, robbery, shoplifting, assault, and carrying a prohibited weapon.
“Illegal activities breed further crime, and our collaborative efforts through these enforcement operations have allowed us to do what the DEA does best, remove drugs off the streets that are devastating lives and dismantle drug networks, safeguarding our communities,” said DEA Houston Division Acting Special Agent in Charge William Kimbell. “These operations have allowed us to share our resources with our federal partners and expand our scope of DEA drug trafficking investigations to achieve the common goal of making communities safer.”
ERO carried out expedited removal operations that led to the deportation of 528 illegal aliens.
“To expedite the removal of these aliens during the operation, ICE Houston leveraged an initiative established under the current administration to funnel aliens to designated hubs on the southern border where they are quickly processed and removed to their country of origin within 24-72 hours of their arrest,” ERO officials stated.
FBI Houston Special Agent in Charge Douglas Williams added, “Our intel support is as strong as our tactical support. By working together and sharing what we know with our partners, we have been able to prioritize the worst of the worst criminals, and that’s what we will continue to do.”
CBP Air and Marine Operations (AMO) participated in the roundup and removal process by providing transportation support. “Our team is ensuring these operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and in full coordination with our federal partners,” AMO Houston Air Branch Acting Director Jeremy D. Battenfield concluded

[Breitbart] Federal prosecutors announced that they had filed a terrorism related charge against a woman who is accused of getting grenades and being a key operator for Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG). The case is the first ever terror charge related to CJNG.
This week, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that they had charged 39-year-old Maria Del Rosario “Chayo” Navarro Sanchez with providing material support to a terrorist organization. The charge follows the February 20 designation of CJNG as a foreign terrorist organization by the U.S. Department of State.
“Cartels like CJNG are terrorist groups that wreak havoc in American communities and are responsible for countless lives lost in the United States, Mexico, and elsewhere,” Attorney General Pamela Bondi said in a prepared statement.
Mexican authorities arrested Navarro earlier this month in the state of Jalisco. At the time of her arrest, Mexico’s top law enforcement official announced that U.S. authorities wanted her on several charges that included arms trafficking, human smuggling, drug trafficking, and others. The woman had a gold-plated rifle with her at the time of her arrest. It remains unclear if Navarro will face charges in Mexico or be extradited to the United States soon.
According to federal prosecutors, Chayo helped direct human smuggling operations for CJNG in West Texas, as well as drug and cash smuggling. The woman is credited with overseeing the operation of tunnels used for smuggling migrants.
The announcement of the terror charges against CJNG operators comes just days after the U.S.D.O.J. filed narco-terrorism charges against key leaders of the Beltran Leyva faction of the Sinaloa Cartel, Breitbart Texas reported. In that case, the cartel leaders are linked to the large-scale trafficking of fentanyl, the main drug behind thousands of overdose deaths in the United States. The Sinaloa Cartel is also a foreign terrorist organization in the United States.

Hmmm, but Wacovia/Wells Fargo bank can get a fine (slap on the wrist) for laundering drug cartel money. Oh, that's right. That was then, and this is now. Nevermind.
[DesertSun] An explosion that rocked downtown Palm Springs Saturday morning was an “intentional act of terrorism” that has left one person dead and at least four people injured, FBI Akil Davis, assistant director of the Los Angeles FBI field office, said Saturday evening.
Davis said this is "one of the largest bombing investigations we've had in Southern California," comparing it to the scale of the Aliso Viejo bombing in Orange County in 2018. He said, "We have a person of interest in this investigation, but we are not actively out searching for a suspect."
Palm Springs Police Chief Andy Mills said it appears to be "an isolated incident," and "I am confident that the community is not at risk any longer."
The percussive boom was heard and felt across Palm Springs at 10:52 a.m. and was initially reported to be a car explosion near the American Reproductive Centers clinic on North Indian Canyon Drive at East Tachevah Drive. Police declined to comment on whether the explosion was caused by a bomb.
While several buildings were damaged, some severely, the fertility clinic reported on social media that all staff are safe, and no eggs or embryos were damaged. Read the rest at the link
"Terrorism came knocking on the door of Palm Springs," Miles said during a news conference Saturday night. "We survived, and I can tell you that this city will rise and be more and be more effective as a beacon of hope than before."
[DESOTOCOUNTYNEWS] The DeSoto County District Attorney's Office has announced that an illegal alien, Jiver Alejandro Melo Dominguez, of Mexico has been indicted by a DeSoto County Grand Jury for attempted murder. Dominguez, age 19, was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday, May 16.
''This is yet another troubling example of wide-open border policies,'' said District Attorney Matthew Barton. ''This criminal should never have been here. But don't worry — we're going to secure a swift conviction and immediately turn him over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement, where I hope Secretary Kristi Noem and Tom Homan can make room for him in El Salvador Prison.''
Charging documents allege that on March 5, during a construction project in Hernando, Dominguez allegedly attempted to kill another man by slicing his neck with an Orcon box knife. The indictment also notes that Dominguez had recently traveled from reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... to Memphis prior to the attack.
Dominguez was arrested by Hernando Police Department and remains in DeSoto County Adult Detention Center.
[ShabelleMedia] Somali Army’s 26th Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Abdirahman Hujale, was shot and killed on Saturday on the frontlines near Moqokori, in the Hiiraan region.
The shooting was carried out by a soldier named Abdullahi Hassan Ahmed, who was subsequently gunned down by fellow troops at the scene, according to security officials.
The bodies of both the commander and the assailant were airlifted to Mogadishu for further investigation, according to security sources, who spoke to Shabelle Radio.
This marks the second high-profile assassination of a senior military officer this year. Last month, Colonel Nur Farey was also killed near Afgoye, 30 kilometers from Somalia’s capital, in a similar attack by an individual in military uniform.
The killing of Brigadier General Hujale raises concerns about internal security within the Somali military and the potential for ongoing threats within the ranks.
The government has yet to issue an official statement regarding the killing of Commander Hujale.
His killing marks the latest in a string of high-profile assassinations of senior Somali military officers since 2022, underscoring the fragile security situation in the Horn of Africa nation.
In April, Lieutenant Colonel Nur Farey, commander of the 14th October Brigade, was killed near Afgooye town in the Lower Shabelle region. He was reportedly shot dead by a soldier while addressing troops at a local base.
Since early 2022, several top Somali military figures have been targeted in similar attacks, often in areas where government forces have been engaged in fierce battles with al Shabaab.
The deaths highlight the persistent dangers faced by Somali military leaders operating in volatile regions. Al Shabaab has waged an insurgency against the federal government for over 15 years and often targets both military personnel and civilians.
[Garowe] A roadside kaboom near Baraawe Airport in Somalia’s Lower Shabelle region went kaboom! today, killing at least two people and injuring five others, local officials said.
The blast targeted a NOAH vehicle traveling to the airport to pick up khat, a stimulant. The explosion caused significant damage to the vehicle, injuring several passengers.
Among the dead, a young man named Omar Carabey was confirmed dead. Others injured in the blast are being treated at hospitals in Baraawe and nearby areas.
No group has grabbed credit for the attack, but the Islamist group al-Shabaab ... an Islamic infestation centering on Somalia attempting to metastasize into Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and similar places, all ofwhich have enough problems without them... is known for carrying out similar bombings.
Security forces have launched an investigation into the incident, but no further information has been released by local authorities.
[HodhodYemenNews] The Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a precision strike on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv, using a Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile, a Zulfiqar ballistic missile, and a Yafa drone.
[IsrelTimes] Yemen ...an area of the Arabian Peninsula sometimes mistaken for a country. It is populated by more antagonistic tribes and factions than you can keep track of... ’s Iran-backed Iran's Houthi sock puppets ...a Zaidi Shia insurgent group operating in Yemen. They have also been referred to as the Believing Youth. Hussein Badreddin al-Houthi is said to be the spiritual leader of the group and most of the military leaders are his relatives. The legitimate Yemeni government has accused the them of having ties to the Iranian government. Honest they did. The group has managed to gain control over all of Saada Governorate and parts of Amran, Al Jawf and Hajjah Governorates. Its slogan is God is Great, Death to America™, Death to Israel, a curse on the Jews They like shooting off... ummm... missiles that they would have us believe they make at home in their basements. On the plus side, they did murder Ali Abdullah Saleh, which was the only way the country was ever going to be rid of him... s say they fired two ballistic missiles at Ben Gurion Airport overnight.
The IDF said a ballistic missile fired at Israel was successfully intercepted by air defenses at around 2 a.m. The reason for the discrepancy in figures was unclear, but suggested that one had fallen short.
Sirens had sounded across central Israel, sending hundreds of thousands to seek shelter in the middle of the night.
Since March 18, when the IDF resumed its offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis in Yemen have launched 35 ballistic missiles and at least 10 drones at Israel. Several of the missiles have fallen short.
Launcher Unit
The Palestine-2 missile is launched from a mobile ground-based platform, providing significant mobility and operational flexibility. The launch platform is mounted on a heavy-duty truck designed to carry and launch the missile from concealed locations. This mobile system enhances survivability in a contested environment, allowing for rapid repositioning and reducing the risk of the launcher being targeted by counter-strikes. The launcher's design supports the quick deployment and firing of the missile, ensuring that it can be used in various terrain and under operational stress.

Instead, what does he do? Deals with the Saudis, Qatar, Iran, all the chief sponsors of Hamas.

[IsraelTimes] Counter-terror officials call probe ‘a very complex and fast-moving investigation,’ but have not detailed targets of plot
Three Iranian nationals have been charged with suspected espionage for Iran’s intelligence services from August 2024 to February 2025, UK police said on Saturday.
The three were all arrested on May 3 in what the capital’s Metropolitan police called "a very complex and fast-moving investigation" and were due to appear in a London court later on Saturday.
They were named as Mostafa Sepahvand, 39, Farhad Javadi Manesh, 44, and Shapoor Qalehali Khani Noori, 55, all with addresses in London.
The arrests come amid heightened concerns about Iranian activities on UK soil.
"These are extremely serious charges under the National Security Act, which have come about following what has been a very complex and fast-moving investigation," said Dominic Murphy, head of the Met’s Counter-Terrorism command.
"Since the men were arrested two weeks ago, detectives have been working around the clock," he added.
All three were charged with "engaging in conduct likely to assist a foreign intelligence service between 14 August 2024 and 16 February 2025," the police said.
"The foreign state to which the charges relate is Iran," the police said in their statement.
Sepahvand was also charged with "surveillance, reconnaissance and open-source research... intending to commit acts, namely serious violence against a person in the United Kingdom."
While Manesh and Noori were also charged with "surveillance and reconnaissance with the intention that acts, namely serious violence against a person in the United Kingdom, would be committed by others.
A fourth man was arrested on May 9 as part of the investigation, but has now been released without charge, the police added in their statement.
The National Security Act gives law enforcement greater powers to disrupt "state threats" including foreign interference and espionage.
Interior Minister Yvette Cooper thanked the police in a statement on May 4.
"These are serious events that demonstrate the ongoing requirement to adapt our response to national security threats," she said.
Law enforcement has not detailed the targets of the Iranians.
British media reported earlier this month on mounting speculation that the arrested Iranians had been "hours away" from carrying out an attack on a synagogue, though there was no confirmation of the reports.
In March, Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... became the first country to be placed on an enhanced tier of the Foreign Influence Registration Scheme (FIRS), which aims to boost the UK’s national security against covert foreign influences.
The measures, due to come into place later this year, will mean that all people working inside the UK for Iran, its intelligence services, or the Revolutionary Guard would have to register or face jail.
Home Secretary Yvette Cooper vowed to boost national security powers following the charges, which come amid heightened concerns about Iranian activities on UK soil.
In October, the head of Britain’s MI5 domestic intelligence service revealed that since 2022, the UK had uncovered 20 Iran-backed plots posing “potentially lethal threats.”
“Iran must be held to account for its actions,” Cooper said, adding that the UK needed to “strengthen our powers to protect our national security as we will not tolerate growing state threats on our soil.”
The three men were all remanded in jug following a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in central London.
The BBC reported that the three were accused of targeting UK-based journalists working for the Farsi-language Iran International television news network, an independent media organization based in London. Iran has labeled the outlet a terror organization.
The Home Office said the suspects were all irregular migrants colonists, having arrived by small boat or other means, such as hidden in a vehicle, between 2016 and 2022.
’STATE THREATS’
Sepahvand was also charged with "surveillance, reconnaissance and open-source research... intending to commit acts, namely serious violence against a person in the United Kingdom."
Manesh and Noori were also charged with "surveillance and reconnaissance with the intention that acts, namely serious violence against a person in the United Kingdom, would be committed by others."
A fourth man was arrested on May 9 as part of the investigation, but has now been released without charge, the police added in their statement.
The National Security Act gives law enforcement greater powers to disrupt "state threats," including foreign interference and espionage.
Five Iranian nationals were also arrested on May 3 in a separate investigation, with four of them remaining in jug after warrants of further detention were secured.
The four were arrested on suspicion of preparing a terrorist act. A fifth was bailed to an unspecified date in May.
According to a report from The Telegraph, which cited an unnamed prosecutor at the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), the three individuals arrived in the UK illegally via migrant boats over the English Channel and on the back of lorries. Upon reaching Britain, the suspected spies applied for asylum.
The report claimed that the court heard that Mr Sepahvand clandestinely entered the UK on the back of a lorry in 2016 before seeking asylum over alleged religious persecution in his homeland of Iran.
Mr Manesh, who reportedly illegally landed on British shores after crossing the Channel illegally in a small boat in December of 2019, also claimed asylum on religious grounds.
Finally, Mr Noori is reported to have first come into contact with police in 2022 after entering the country illegally, after which he also applied for asylum. All three were reportedly granted leave to remain in the country while their asylum claims were being processed.
According to a statement from UMD’s 17 for Peace and Justice chapter, sit-in participants came up with seven total demands which university officials need to heed.
These include not cooperating with federal officials regarding “requests to monitor students and staff” and providing “identifiable information,” not assisting ICE and “other federal agencies targeting university community members,” and providing “institutional and financial support to university community members impacted by new policies.”
Sit-in participants “wrote postcards” to UMD President Darryll Pines “demanding action” on these and other items,
…and did all the usual protest nonsense. So derivative,

House Committee Requests Interview With President of Northwestern Regarding Campus Antisemitism
A U.S. House committee has sent a letter to Northwestern University President Michael Schill requesting that he interview regarding recent instances of anti-Semitism at the school. The April 28 letter from the Committee on Education and the Workforce, led by Chairman Tim Walberg, demands a transcribed interview and further accountability from Schill over escalating anti-Semitism on campus.
The committee initiated its investigation in 2024 following a wave of assaults and harassment against Jewish students. Despite Schill’s prior testimony and promised reforms—including increased security, revising student conduct codes, and creating a task force—the committee stated that it finds the university’s follow-through inadequate. Key allegations include a Jewish student being spat on and told to “go back to Germany and get gassed,” widespread harassment during a 2024 anti-Israel encampment and anti-Semitic graffiti during Passover.
“Since your testimony at the Committee’s May 23, 2024 hearing, despite Northwestern’s claims to the contrary, the Committee has not seen your commitments to discipline, enforcement, and security come to satisfactory fruition,” the letter states.
New York Lawmakers Blast CUNY Leader After Anti-Israel Chaos Erupts at Brooklyn College
“It is unacceptable but not surprising that almost two years after October 7th — after an investigation into CUNY and several public hearings — we are still grappling with disruptive and criminal behavior against Jewish students, encampments and masked agitators on campus,” reads a May 9 letter to Brooklyn College chancellor Félix V. Matos Rodríguez exclusively obtained by The Post.
The letter was signed by Councilmembers Inna Vernikov, Farah Louis, Mercedes Narcisse, and Robert Holden, and Assemblymembers Kalman Yeger, Lester Chang, Eric Ari Brown, Jamie Williams and Alec Brook-Krasny.

The faculty also said it was fearful of “doxxing,” particularly against “indigenous colleagues, colleagues of color, [and] junior [or] precarious colleagues.”

NYU says student denied diploma after he ‘lied’ about graduation speech condemning Israel
Logan Rozos’s speech on Israeli ‘genocide’ draws applause from some in audience, condemnation from pro-Israel groups; university says he ‘lied about the speech he was going to deliver’. NYU, which is attended by Trump’s son, Barron, has largely avoided the president’s ire so far.
Rozos, an actor and member of the Gallatin Theater Troupe, was selected by fellow students to give the liberal arts program’s address. He said he felt a moral and political obligation to speak to the audience about what he called the atrocities in Gaza. The speech drew loud cheers from the crowd along with a standing ovation from some graduating students.
“They are bending over backward to crack down on speech that runs counter to what the current administration in Washington espouses,” said Andrew Ross, a professor of social and cultural analysis at NYU.
“Myself and many of my colleagues are frankly appalled at the decision that’s being made to deny a student speaker his diploma,” Ross added. “This is a very good example of an administration falling down on the job.”

Report finds 11 percent of arrested Columbia protesters use they/them pronouns
[CampusReform] Nine of the students that were arrested at Columbia University for taking over the school’s library reportedly ask to be referred to with 'they/them' pronouns. Those numbers are according to a report by The Washington Free Beacon, which noted that one of the students’ senior thesis was on the Gaza Solidarity Encampment.
In the alleged incident, Mahdawi visited a Vermont gun shop in the summer of 2016, expressing interest in purchasing a “sniper rifle and an automatic weapon.” Mahdawi said, according to the government’s allegation, that he “had considerable firearm experience and used to build modified 9mm submachine guns to kill Jews while he was in Palestine.”
There also appears to be corroborating evidence for Mahdawi making statements about “killing Jews.”
“The store owner gave the police the name of a fellow gun enthusiast who stated that he had a similar conversation with Mr. Mahdawi at the ‘Precision Museum’ in Windsor where the enthusiast served as a volunteer tour leader,” Judge Crawford’s opinion states. “During that conversation, Mr. Mahdawi allegedly told the enthusiast, ‘I like to kill Jews.’”
According to Crawford’s opinion, the government also pointed in its brief “to an incident in January 2019 when Mr. Mahdawi was stopped at the border and found to be carrying drugs.”
[OneIndia] Popular YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra, along with five others, has been arrested on charges of spying for Pakistain.
For passing on sensitive Indian information to Pak intelligence operatives, a case has been lodged against her under Sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and Section 152 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Hindustan Times reported.
WHO IS JYOTI MALHOTRA?
Jyoti Malhotra owns a YouTube channel 'Travel with Jo' which has 377,000 subscribers. She got in touch with Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a staffer at the Pakistain High Commission (PHC) in New Delhi in 2023. She has been her handler who introduced her to Pak Intelligence Operatives (PIOs).
In 2023, she went to Pakistain twice where she met Ali Ehwan, Shakir, and Rana Shahbaz. She saved their names using fake names like Jatt Randhawa for Rana Shahbaz so that nobody would get suspicious. She has been in touch with these people through encrypted platforms.
While portraying herself as a travel enthusiast, authorities allege she was part of a covert influence campaign promoting a favourable image of Pakistain on social media. Her substantial online following, Sherlocks say, provided her handlers in Pakistain with a platform to shape narratives.
Another key accused, Guzala, a 32-year-old widow from Punjab ...1. Little Orphan Annie's bodyguard
2. A province of Pakistain ruled by one of the Sharif brothers
3. A province of India. It is majority (60 percent) Sikh and Hindoo (37 percent), which means it has relatively few Moslem riots
.... 's Malerkotla, was allegedly lured into the spy ring after visiting the Pakistain High Commission in Delhi in February 2025. There, she met Danish, who cultivated a romantic relationship with her, shifting their conversations to Telegram for "security." Over weeks, Danish sent her payments-totaling ₹30,000 via PhonePe and Google Pay-before directing her to funnel portions to suspicious accounts, according to a report in India Today.
Guzala later returned to the High Commission with a friend, Banu Nasreena, also a widow, and secured visas with Danish's help-a detail that has raised concerns about exploitation of vulnerable individuals.

Among others arrested:
Yameen Mohd (Malerkotla): Allegedly handled financial transactions and visa logistics for operatives.
Devinder Singh Dhillon (Kaithal): A Sikh student recruited during a Pakistain pilgrimage; accused of filming Patiala's military cantonment.
Arman (Nuh): Supplied Indian SIMs, transferred funds, and attended Defence Expo 2025 on Pak handlers' orders.
The arrests come amid heightened India-Pakistain tensions following the April terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir ...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there.... , where 26 people-primarily Hindu men-were executed at close range by Death Eaters. In retaliation, India launched 'Operation Sindoor', targeting terrorist hubs across the border.
[IsraelTimes] Police say they arrested three teenagers for attacking cops and demonstrators at an anti-government and pro-hostage deal protest in Kiryat Ono this evening.
In footage uploaded to social media of the incident, a large group of pro-Netanyahu counterprotesters can be seen brawling with police as they try to carry out arrests and cursing protesters in the surrounding area.
Officers also detained five people involved in a brawl between protesters and right-wing counter-demonstrators in Rehovot at a similar rally earlier that evening.
Four men arrived at the roadside protest in their car, and were seen filming protesters while shouting pro-Netanyahu slogans. He and another then began to scuffle with demonstrators, slapping them and trying to tear away their protest gear, including an Israeli flag.
“A vehicle arrived [to the protest], and its occupants began exchanging words with the protesters. The incident escalated into violence between the parties, and the police detained five suspects,” a police spokesman says.
Police detained some pro-hostage deal demonstrators alongside the counter protesters, including an elderly woman, according to a lawyers’ network that represents detained anti-government protesters.
A spokeswoman for the network adds that one of the counterprotesters has since been released from custody at the Rehovot police station.
Five violent attacks against anti-government protesters have occurred over the course of tonight’s demonstrations, according to Alimut Israel, a watchdog group tracking violence against protesters. The attacks took place in Rehovot, Kiryat Ono, Modiin, Tel Aviv, and Gome Junction in northern Israel.
[IsraelTimes] Army also arrests others in West Bank’s Bruqin suspected of involvement in Wednesday’s terror shooting that killed Tzeela Gez, who had been heading to hospital to give birth
The Israel Defense Forces said Saturday that troops had killed a Paleostinian suspect in the West Bank who may have been involved in a terror shooting attack earlier in the week that killed a pregnant woman as she was traveling to the hospital to give birth.
The suspect ran toward the forces operating in the West Bank town of Bruqin, while allegedly shouting "holy shit! Allahu akbar" (God is greatest) and holding a backpack suspected of being booby-trapped, the military said, adding that he was rubbed out.
Several other suspects of involvement in Wednesday’s deadly terror attack were arrested.
In the attack near Bruqin and the settlement of Bruchin, a Paleostinian terrorist opened fire from the side of a road on Israeli motorists, killing Tzeela Gez, 30, and lightly wounding her husband, while they were heading to a hospital to give birth to their fourth child.
Gez was evacuated at death's door to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva, where she was later declared dead. Hospital staff conducted an emergency C-section to save the newborn, who remains at death's door.
The Hamas ..the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood,... terror group praised the killing as "heroic" and called for more such acts, but did not claim responsibility.
IDF forces have been surrounding the Paleostinian towns of Bruqin and Kafr ad-Dik, located near the site of the attack, amid the hunt for the terrorist, who is believed to have acted alone.
Separately, the IDF said Saturday evening that troops had killed a Paleostinian who was allegedly hurling stones at Israeli motorists near the West Bank town of Burqa.
The IDF said troops of the 636th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit identified three suspects hurling stones at a main road and opened fire on them, killing one and wounding the other two.
The military said that on Thursday, it had killed five Paleostinian Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... members in the West Bank.
The West Bank has seen a surge in violence since Hamas’s October 7, 2023, attack on Israel from the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with a rusty iron fist by Hamas with about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. Since then, troops have arrested some 6,000 wanted Paleostinians across the West Bank, including more than 2,350 affiliated with Hamas. According to the Paleostinian Authority health ministry, more than 950 West Bank Paleostinians have been killed in that time. The IDF says the vast majority of them were button men killed in exchanges of fire, rioters who clashed with troops or hard boyz carrying out attacks.
There has also been a significant increase in settler violence against Paleostinians since the start of the war.
During the same period, 52 people, including Israeli security personnel, have been killed in terror attacks in Israel and the West Bank. Another eight members of the security forces were killed in festivities with terror operatives in the West Bank.
[IsraelTimes] IDF troops have killed a Palestinian allegedly hurling stones at Israeli motorists near the West Bank town of Burqa, the military says.
The IDF says troops of the 636th Combat Intelligence Collection Unit identified three suspects hurling stones at a main road and opened fire on them, killing one and wounding the other two.
[IsraelTimes] Gideon’s Chariots offensive involves seizing control of ‘strategic areas,’ officials say; troops said advancing on Deir al-Balah, where ground forces have not operated since Oct. 7

In a statement, the military said it had "launched extensive attacks and mobilized forces" over the past days, "to achieve all the goals of the war in Gaza, including the release of the hostages and the defeat of Hamas."
"IDF troops in the Southern Command will continue to operate to protect Israeli citizens and realize the goals of the war," the military added.
Paleostinian media reported on Saturday that IDF ground troops had advanced overnight toward central Gaza’s Deir al-Balah. According to the reports, heavy artillery fire and airstrikes were carried out in the eastern Deir al-Balah area as the forces advanced.
Deir al-Balah is one of the few areas of the Strip where Israel has not sent ground troops since the Hamas onslaught of October 7, 2023, which sparked the war in Gaza. Ground forces have previously operated on the outskirts of the town, but not deep inside it.
Social media users posted pictures of what they said were leaflets the IDF had scattered in the area of the town, instructing residents to flee. It was not immediately clear if the leaflets were genuine.
The reported leaflet featured the IDF logo on one corner and a Star of David captioned "righteous conquest," in Arabic, on the other corner. Over a background that showed a sea parted over destroyed buildings, the leaflet quoted a Koranic verse about the "Parting of the Sea," and below it a message: "Residents of Gaza, the Israeli army approaches."
According to Israeli officials, the operation would see the IDF "conquer" Gaza and retain the territory, attack Hamas, prevent the terror group from taking control of humanitarian aid supplies, and move Paleostinians from Gaza’s north to its south.

HAMAS AUTHORITIES SAY DOZENS KILLED IN AIRSTRIKES
Airstrikes were reported Saturday in the areas of Khan Younis, in southern Gaza, and Jabalia, in the Strip’s north. Marwan Al-Sultan, director of northern Gaza’s Indonesian Hospital, said Saturday morning that the medical center had since midnight received “58 martyrs, while a large number of victims remain under the rubble.”
Sultan said the situation at the hospital was “tragic and catastrophic after its surroundings were targeted again this morning, causing the collapse of ceilings and cracks in the walls.”
“The operating rooms and intensive care units are completely full, and we are unable to receive any more critical cases,” he said.
He added there was “a severe shortage of blood units, medicines, medical and therapeutic supplies, and surgical procedures.”
Doctors had been forced to source blood for transfusions from other patients and even from themselves “due to the impossibility of donations from citizens due to malnutrition,” said Sultan.
Meanwhile, Hamas’s civil defense agency said 10 bodies had been brought to Gaza hospitals following strikes Saturday morning.
Agency spokesman Mahmud Bassal told AFP that three people were killed and four wounded in drone strikes east of Khan Younis, while three others were killed and several wounded in the bombing of a house in Jabalia.
An attack on an apartment northwest of Khan Younis killed three people, while one person was killed and five wounded, “including a girl, a young woman and a pregnant woman,” in a strike on a tent west of the city, he added.
More than 300 Gazans have been killed in Israeli strikes since Thursday, according to Gaza’s Hamas-run health ministry, which says more than 53,000 people in the Strip have been killed or are presumed dead in the war so far.
The tolls cannot be verified and do not differentiate between civilians and fighters. Israel has said it seeks to minimize civilian fatalities and stresses that Hamas uses Gaza’s civilians as human shields, fighting from civilian areas, including homes, hospitals, schools and mosques.
Israel says it has killed some 20,000 combatants in battle as of January, and another 1,600 terrorists inside the country during the October 7 onslaught, when thousands of Hamas-led terrorists killed some 1,200 people and took 251 hostages.

In both a 2012 and 2014 poll, the Portuguese public ranked him as the best Prime Minister of the previous 30 years... expressed astonishment at Israel’s expanded operation in the besieged Strip.
"We need a permanent ceasefire, now," said Guterres. "I am alarmed by reported plans by Israel to expand ground operations and more."
His comment followed a statement by UN aid chief Tom Fletcher rejecting a US-backed proposal to deliver aid to Gaza without it going to Hamas.
“To those proposing an alternative modality for aid distribution, let’s not waste time. We already have a plan,” he said, adding that the UN has a proven plan and 160,000 pallets of relief ready to enter the Palestinian enclave now.
Fletcher enraged Israel’s mission to the UN this week after he told the body’s security council to act “to prevent a genocide” in Gaza. Israel has angrily rejected the accusation that it is perpetrating a genocide.
Israel halted the flow of aid to Gaza on March 2, hours after the Gaza ceasefire-hostage deal’s first phase expired amid Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s refusal to negotiate the second phase, which would have required an end to the war. On March 18, Israel resumed hostilities in Gaza with a surprise series of deadly airstrikes.
Following the 42-day first phase and the release of Edan Alexander on Monday, terror groups in Gaza still hold 58 hostages, at least 35 of whom have been confirmed dead, including a soldier killed fighting in the 2014 Gaza war.
The military describes the tunnel as “strategic.” It was located and destroyed by troops of the Gaza Division’s Northern Brigade and Yahalom combat engineering unit.
Report: Body of Hamas leader Muhammad Sinwar found in Gaza tunnel struck by IDF
[IsraelTimes] The Saudi channel Al-Hadath reports that the body of Muhammad Sinwar, the de facto commander of Hamas’s military wing in Gaza, was found in a tunnel in Khan Younis where the terror leader was targeted by the Israel Defense Forces last week.
According to the report, the bodies of 10 of Sinwar’s aides were found with him.
It is also reported that there is evidence that the commander of the Rafah Brigade in Hamas’s military wing, Mohammad Shabana, was also killed in the strike.
Israel has not confirmed the deaths of either Sinwar or Shabana.
The strikes on Tuesday targeted an underground command compound below the European Hospital where Sinwar was believed to be sheltering. The IDF later bombed the area several more times, in an apparent attempt to prevent anyone from approaching the tunnel.
Sinwar, a senior Hamas military commander, is the younger brother of the former Hamas leader in Gaza, Yahya Sinwar, who was killed by the IDF in southern Gaza last October.
Following the killing of Hamas’s top military commander, Muhammad Deif, last July, Muhammad Sinwar took charge of the terror group’s military wing. Later, after Sinwar’s older brother was killed by IDF troops, he became the de facto leader of the terror group in the Gaza Strip.
Israeli officials have described Muhammad Sinwar as obstinate with regard to negotiations with Hamas for the release of hostages, and an obstacle to reaching a ceasefire deal.
The younger Sinwar is also wanted for terrorist actions against Israel and has been active in Hamas for decades.
He was jailed by Israel in the 1990s for nine months and spent an additional three years in a Palestinian Authority prison in Ramallah, from which he escaped in 2000. In 2006, Sinwar was part of a Hamas cell that abducted IDF soldier Gilad Shalit. He also previously commanded Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade.
Most of Hamas’s leadership has been eliminated by Israel during the ongoing war.
[IsraelTimes] Syrian security forces raid Islamic State hideouts in Aleppo, killing at least one militant and arresting others, the Interior Ministry says, the first time such an operation has been announced under the country’s new Islamist rulers.
A member of the security forces was also killed, the statement issued by Syria’s Interior Ministry spokesperson says. The security forces seized weapons, bombs, and uniforms with the security forces’ insignia.
A security source says the raids had targeted sleeper cells in four locations. One Islamic State militant had blown himself up, and another had been killed in clashes, the source says.

[Regnum] On May 17, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed one of the Hezbollah commanders in southern Lebanon, who, according to the Israeli military, was engaged in restoring the organization's infrastructure. This was stated in a statement by the army press service.
"Earlier on Saturday, the IDF struck and killed a Hezbollah commander in the Shaqif region in the Gamgim area (south of the city of Tyre - Ed.) in Lebanon. The terrorist was involved in rebuilding Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure in the area," the statement said.
The Israeli army noted that the restoration of terrorist infrastructure is a gross violation of the ceasefire agreements between Israel and Lebanon.
As reported by Regnum, the IDF had previously announced the elimination of Hezbollah commanders following a tip from religious singer Mohammad Hadi Saleh. Hassan Beir, a commander of one of Hezbollah's border units, was killed. The Israelis received his coordinates after he attended Saleh's charity concert.
Hassan's son Ali, who was also his father's deputy, was killed along with him. The unit entrusted to them lost its combat capability for some time, which was taken advantage of by the Israeli forces advancing in southern Lebanon.
The Israel Defense Force said Saturday that it killed a Hezbollah commander in a drone strike in Lebanon in Beaufort Castle area. Local authorities also confirmed one person had been killed.
The operative, who was targeted on a road near Mazraat Jemjim — some 30 kilometers from the Israeli border — in the Tyre District, was the commander of Hezbollah’s forces in the Beaufort Castle area, the military said.
An Israeli drone strike targeted a car Saturday on the road of the southern town of al-Zrariyeh in the Tyre district, killing one person.
Earlier in the day, an Israeli quadcopter dropped a bomb on an agricultural vehicle in the southern town of al-Dhayra, as an Israeli strike targeted a prefab room and a stone factory in the border town of Yarin.
An Israeli drone had bombed a hangar in the southern town of Aita al-Shaab at dawn, causing no casualties.
