[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] during botched 'no knock' raid in March - as FBI takes a 'fresh look' at evidence and searches her apartment What about firing the managers who sent them out to the wrong address and ordered them to go in without knocking?
Officer Brett Hankison has been fired from the Lousiville Police Department
Mayor Greg Fischer would not say why he had been fired and the two others hadn't
Hankison has also been accused of sexually assaulting two women ...sounds like this is an excuse to get rid of someone long on the To Fire list...
Hankison along with Jonathan Mattingly and Myles Cosgrave entered Breonna Taylor's apartment in March and opened fire when her boyfriend shot first
They were in plain clothes and claimed to be carrying out a 'no knock' warrant
None have been charged despite growing calls from the public for them to be arrested
The FBI started searching Breonna's apartment on Friday to take a 'fresh look' at any potential evidence as part of its investigation

Why?
Pictures for some that are visual learners.
Extended and followup coverage of topics unpopular in US 'press' from international 'ugly' zones, including the US. It's world news with a UK focus as seen through a US lens.
Composition, right and left, no more opinionated than many popular blogs and titillating titles, difficult for some to parse, which encapsulate the article subject matter and set the presentation tone so as to allow the reader to bypass after a quick interest scan.
All that, and I enjoy reading and sharing with my friends.

I find it interesting how the pictures are cropped and framed. For instance, the 'Security Guard' story is made to test the spreading of BLM to include Latinos. Here, we are throwing chaff to cover an agent provocateur.
As you wish (it was nothing personal). Just a matter of taste, I guess. When I got my journalism degree a million years ago, editorializing (explicit or implicit) was strictly discouraged. Just the facts, ma'am.

As TW commented in one of the associated posts:
Heavy.com did their usual 5 Fast Facts about Mr. Gugino here. It turns out the gentleman is a long time “peace activist” associated with the Western New York Peace Center — pro-Antifa, Communist, all the usual nonsense, active on Twitter and YouTube. Heavy has several videos of the event in question, taken from different perspectives.
The was the guy who was supposedly sniffing the police Bluetooth IDs.

I continue to be surprised by how many Rantburgers trained as journalists. You will have noticed, JHH, that nowadays journalists are explicitly taught that their job is to educate and nudge opinion in the proper direction. The Daily Mail is indeed a tabloid, but they publish the information we at Rantburg are interested in, and their bullet points allow the reader to quickly get key information before clicking int he link or moving on. And, should the reader be interested, they do link to local source articles, so those interested can explore in even greater depth.
We added them to as a regular source in 2015, when Chancellor Merkel opened Germany to “Syrian” refugees. They were a really good source for migrant misbehaviour stories that either were not appearing elsewhere or where key information was ordered masked. Breitbart was another — the two were the basis for the Muslim Colonist round-ups I did until they became too time consuming, even using key word searches instead of scrolling through the day’s articles.

If #s 1 and 2 are true, only a very bloody housecleaning will suffice.

Fulton County DA Paul Howard is the subject of investigations for ethics and s3x harassment, Clem, and apparently is being strongly challenged for reelection as a result. It has been suggested here that he may be overcharging in order to motivate his core voters.

February 11, 2020: BAMAKO, Mali (AP) — Malian President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita confirmed his government is in contact with al-Qaida-linked extremist leaders as Mali faces some of the worst violence since its crisis began in 2012...
At an African Union summit in Ethiopia, Keita confirmed that Mali’s military would be returning to the northern rebel stronghold town of Kidal, where it has not had a presence in six years.
Keita told Radio France Internationale and France 24 that he had a duty “to do everything possible so that, by one means or another, we can achieve some sort of appeasement.”

[JPost] Palestinian residents of Hebron, with the assistance of Emek Shaveh, an Israeli NGO seeking to prevent the politicization of archaeology in the context of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, have submitted a complaint to the IDF's Coordinator of Government Activities in the Territories (COGAT) Thursday over a proposed elevator for persons with disabilities at the Tomb of the Patriarchs in Hebron, according to a press release from the group.
The press release noted that Palestinians in Hebron are objecting to the elevator on the basis that the was illegally approved by a transitional government, in addition to contraventions of international agreements to which Israel is a signatory, and potential damage to the site caused by future construction.
Emek Shaveh also accused the plan of promoting unilateral actions in disputed areas, while claiming that its alleged humanitarian motivation of making the site accessible to persons with disabilities is a facade for changing the status quo in the area.
The NGO claims that the plan came to fruition a few days prior to Yamina MK Naftali Bennett vacating his position as Defense Minister upon the establishment the Netanyahu-Gantz unity government, when he signed the permit for the construction of the elevator. They also note that site is under the authority of the Hebron municipality and the land with its structures belongs to the Islamic Waqf.

[IsraelTimes] Fox News cites report by Baden-Wurttemberg spy agency saying Iran, other states are seeking to ’complete existing arsenals... and develop new weapon systems’.
A German intelligence agency has reportedly warned that Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... remains committed to obtaining technology for the development of nuclear weapons.

This is getting a bit lame, don't you think? German commerce with Iran is down dramatically. If you send money from your bank account to an Iranian bank account (or intermediary), your German bank will not execute the transaction, and if you insist they will cancel your account.

If after 40 years of effort and tens of billions of dollars, aid from Pakistan and North Korea (maybe China too), Russian scientists and tens of thousands of centrifuges, if the Iranians don't have dozens or hundreds of nuke, they are dumbest people on earth.

Wow, they paid serious money for that analysis? That’s right up there wit the Chinese lie and cheat in everything and democrat politicians are socialists.

It takes time and effort to refine uranium ore into sufficiently enriched uranium gas, Slineth Elmeagum8946, then the interim step that results in something that can be assembled into nuclear warheads. As I recall, Iran was getting close to achieving that enrichment level, with enough product to make a number of nuclear missile warheads or considerably more dirty bombs. Given the increasingly difficult situation Iran has found itself in since Donald Trump was sworn in as president, it seems likely they’d light the things off as soon as they were capable of doing so.
