[THEBAGHDADPOST] Libya’s UN-recognized unity government has said it will boycott talks on the conflict in the North African country to be held by Arab League ...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing... foreign ministers next week.
Foreign minister Mohamad Taher Siala told the bloc’s executive council on Friday that the planned meeting would "merely deepen the rift" between Arab governments on the conflict, his ministry said.

[Federalist] In the wake of the violence that took place in Charlottesville over last weekend, numerous activists and politicians have called for the destruction of more historical monuments, although a significant majority of Americans (62 percent) think the monuments should stay put. Only 27 percent of Americans think these statues should be removed for fear of offending some people. As usual, public opinion’s not stopping liberals from pursuing an unpopular agenda.
Though by no means comprehensive, here’s a list of the monuments that are facing calls for removal or have already been torn down.
1. The Jefferson Memorial in Washington DC
2. Confederate statues In The Capitol
3. Mount Rushmore
4. Monuments In Baltimore
5. Stone Mountain
6. Albert Pike Statue In Washington DC
7. Chicago Parks Named After Washington And Jackson
8. Confederate Soldiers Monument In Durham, North Carolina
9. Monuments Throughout The State of North Carolina
10. Monuments Throughout The State of Virginia
11. ‘Old Joe’ Statue In Gainesville, Florida
12. Confederate statues In Lexington, Kentucky
13. Statues In Louisville, Kentucky
14. Statues In Nashville Tennessee, Including One On Private Property
15. Two Statues Vandalized In Wilmington, North Carolina

Well, they're not liberals. However the liberals refused to fight for that name letting the radical Left take it. Instead they moved over to the other party and called themselves 'Republicans', see - Romney et al, and the country club GOPe said nothing. That's how you got Trump. They're Vandals, destroyers of civilization, and want to usher in another thousand years of darkness.

Let's hope they never find out about Gettysburg.

They defaced the statue of Cervantes in San Francisco. Why Cervantes? He was enslaved by Moorish Barbary pirates. His very existence gives the lie to the current BLM narrative, so he must be cancelled.

At this point there is no logic or understanding (and may never have been.) Everything about the past is bad, and that's about as far as it goes.

[IsraelTimes] Federal judge rules Kassim Tajideen can leave prison early due to poor health, coronavirus (aka COVID19 or Chinese Plague) ...the twenty first century equivalent of bubonic plague, only instead of killing off a third of the population of Europe it kills 3.4 percent of those who notice they have it. It seems to be fond of the elderly, especially Iranian politicians and holy men... risk.
The United States will release convicted Hezbollah financier Kassim Tajideen three years into his five-year sentence due to his poor health and risks of COVID-19 infection in prison, according to court documents.
On May 28 Washington Federal District Court Judge Reggie Walton granted Tajideen’s emergency request for compassionate release, which said his age and "serious health conditions" leave him particularly vulnerable as the coronavirus spread through the US prison system.
Walton rejected Justice Department arguments that Tajideen was reasonably healthy for his age, 64, and that the prison he was in had no coronavirus cases.
Tajideen could be back in Leb ...an Iranian colony situated on the eastern Mediterranean, conveniently adjacent to Israel. Formerly inhabited by hardy Phoenecian traders, its official language is now Arabic, with the usual unpleasant side effects. The Leb civil war, between 1975 and 1990, lasted a little over 145 years and produced 120,000 fatalities. The average length of a ceasefire was measured in seconds. The Lebs maintain a precarious sectarian balance among Shiites, Sunnis, and about a dozeen flavors of Christians. It is the home of Hezbollah, which periodically starts a war with the Zionist Entity, gets Beirut pounded to rubble, and then declares victory and has a parade. The Lebs have the curious habit of periodically murdering their heads of state or prime ministers... within weeks.
According to a June 11 court filing by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement, he was released from the federal prison in Cumberland, Maryland after a two-week coronavirus quarantine and moved to a county detention center while awaiting departure.
"At this time, a charter flight to Lebanon has been scheduled for July 2020 and Mr Tajideen is on the manifest," ICE said in a court filing.
Tajideen’s release and deportation has stirred speculation that it is the US response to Lebanon’s release in March of Amer al-Fakhoury, a naturalized US citizen and former member of a pro-Israel militia said to have presided over torture of thousands of detainees while he was a prison warden.
Fakhoury’s release was explained by his suffering from late-stage cancer and the threat posed by the coronavirus pandemic.
But Tajideen’s US lawyer William Taylor rejected the suggestion that it was a swap.
"This was a straight-up compassionate release, you can see that from the papers," Taylor said in an email. "Had nothing to do with Fakhoury."
A wealthy businessman with companies that stretched from Lebanon across central and west Africa and into Belgium, Tajideen was deemed a "specially designated global terrorist" by the United States in 2009 for allegedly providing tens of millions of dollars and other support to Hezbollah.
He was arrested in Morocco in March 2017 and extradited to the United States, where he was charged with violating US sanctions by providing financial support to a "designated terrorist organization."
His arrest was seen as a major coup by US Sherlocks, who have stepped up their targeting of Hezbollah’s worldwide network of financial resources.
He was charged with multiple counts of violating US terrorism sanctions regulations as well as money laundering.
In December 2018 he pleaded guilty to money laundering conspiracy and was sentence to 60 months in prison.
He also forfeited $50 million that was seized by US officials.
His sentence included time already served in prison, and coupled with a possible "good behavior" recommendation, he was eligible for release in June 2021.

[The Firearm Blog] London gunmaker John Rigby & Co. has revealed details of an intrepid and ingenious strategy that enabled it’s core team to carry on crafting its premium rifles during the strict lockdown enforced throughout the UK this spring. Pictured in the graphic, the Rigby Highland Stalker
Three weeks before British Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the national lockdown to combat the spread of COVID-19, Rigby Managing Director Marc Newton discussed the looming pandemic with his team. Those who were free from any health conditions and could not work from home volunteered to be locked down at Rigby’s London premises. The factory complex was fitted out with washing, sleeping and cooking facilities and eight members of the team — including Newton — made it their home for seven weeks. During this time they were not only able to make significant inroads into Rigby’s bulging order books, but also experience a spirit of camaraderie that surpasses even that felt on the toughest of hunts.

Used to use a Croatian tailor where I lived. First time I came in she said, with a wicked glare, "Who told you about me?" Once we got that out of the way her work was fabulous.
