Disgraced former San Diego congressman Randy "Duke" Cunningham has been granted an early release from post-prison monitoring by the federal court judge who sentenced him to more than eight years in prison for accepting bribes.
U.S. District Court Judge Larry Burns last week granted Cunningham's request to be removed two years early from a three-year term of supervised release. The order was effective July 1, meaning Cunningham's near decade-long involvement with the federal corrections system is over.
Gun Free Zone Target Rich Environment working as intended
The Fourth of July weekend brought the city's most concentrated explosion of gun violence this year, with 12 people shot -- three fatally -- in little more than five hours.
The bloody mayhem from Saturday night through Sunday morning also marked the third consecutive weekend in which a dozen or more people were struck by bullets since the summer started.
Shootings were reported in The Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, where two people were slain in separate incidents.
A passerby found one of those victims, Devon Powell, 24, around 5 a.m. in the gutter in front of a bus stop on Arlington Place, where dried blood still stained the sidewalk and street hours later.
Powell suffered a head wound so grisly that cops couldn't tell if he'd been shot, stabbed or beaten.

Few appear to accept the idea that trans-genetic changes could possibly give a human being different behavioral tendencies that might be negative or dangerous for their fellow beings?
Meanwhile, apples fall close to the tree because they have obviously learned to do so.
Another 21 people were hit by bullets between June 20 and 22, with two dying in shootings at barbecues in The Bronx and Brooklyn... As of June 30, shootings in the city were up 8 percent, with 521 incidents this year compared to 482 during the same period in 2013.
[OREGONLIVE] The city of Portland is sending 16 white male employees and managers, including Mayor Charlie Hales and Police Chief Mike Reese, to a three-day diversity training conference at a Mt. Hood-area resort this week.
The training, run by the company White Men as Full Diversity Partners, costs $56,000 and will be funded in part by Hales' office and the Portland Police Bureau.
According to Hales' office, the training focuses on eliminating racism, sexism and homophobia in organizations. The 16 staffers will be at the conference from 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday at 2:30 p.m.
The Portland-based White Men as Full Diversity Partners (WMFDP) chose to host the training at The Resort at the Mountain in Welches at the foot of Mt. Hood.
"Most of the city's top administration is white and male," a Hales spokesperson said in an email. "In order to address inequities in the city, the white male leadership needs a deep understanding of the Portland community in its wholeness and complexity."

By NOT attending these sessions regardless of the reason, it is immediately assumed [by liberal lawyers], that you [as a non-person of colour] have failed to do everything possible to rid yourself of inherent racism.
You failed to take the prescribed gov't medicine, therefore you are automatically negligent and assumed to be sick, and through extension guilty of racism.

I remember the online diversity class I had to take for my employer. There were little quizzes along the way. The only way I could get through them was to give the answers that I thought were wrong. Seriously, I never thought of myself as a racist. I certainly don't hate people because of their race. But now I know better because I can't bring myself to agree with Affirmative Action. Shame, shame on me. I know now that I'm a bad, bad person...an angry old white guy.
But I was lucky. That class only took an hour or so. Three days stuck at a resort with some weenie brow beating me the whole time and I might go right 'round the bend.

I'll probably wake up one morning and find that NSA has hacked all of Rantburg's files and we will all be invited to diversity/sensitivity training at the local FEMA gulag.
[CNSNEWS] The man who heads the federal agency responsible for many of the 50,000 unaccompanied alien children from Central America who have entered the U.S. illegally in recent months told attendees at a conference on Tuesday that those working with refugees should look to Jesus Christ as a role model.
"Jesus was a refugee, and that's a very good reminder to all of us," Eskinder Negash, director of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR), said at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops' (USCCB) 2014 Migration Conference in Washington, D.C.
In the case of unaccompanied alien children, U.S. law requires that those who do not come from a contiguous country, i.e. Mexico or Canada, be transferred to the custody of ORR where they will be reunited with family or placed elsewhere until deportation proceedings can be completed.
"I happen to believe in [the] refugee program, not just because Jesus was a refugee -- because I was also myself a refugee," said Negash, who was named to his post by the B.O. regime in 2009.

Didn't we hear something like this before?
Let's see, oh yeah..."Jesus was a community organizer."

There are no gangs shooting up little kiddies in Central America. Refugees normally does not consist of only little kiddies. The only one who is tearing families apart throughout Central America for personal political gain is Barack Hussien Obama with promises of utopia if you send my your little kiddies. Impeachment for this horrific inhumane scam is in order.

Who is Eskinder Negash ? Click his name for his biography..."I happen to believe in [the] refugee program, not just because Jesus was a refugee -- because I was also myself a refugee," said Negash
Very powerful statement, a sympathizer, to hell with the rule of law, the end justify the means, right, Mr Nagash.
Another crooked political bureaucrat, in a crooked administration.

Sorry to get so technical on you but exactly where in the Bible does it say Jesus was a refugee? I've actually read a good deal of it and I don't remember that part.

Oh, that's right, Oldspook. They went to Egypt to escape Herod for a while. Let's see...did they go on welfare in Egypt? Get EBT cards? Go to school? Check out the local ER? All on the Egyptian taxpayers' dime?

Surprised in her duds by his mummy,
Spano slipped her a tale (accent plummy):
"Please don't think I'm dirty!
It's just, now I'm thirty,
I thought I might work as a dummy!

Yes, Jesus and his parents were refugees in Egypt. But IIRC they'd just gotten some valuable belated Christmas presents, and could probably pay their own way.
Seriously, there are plenty of other passages that would appear to make the point much more strongly. Whether those passages apply the same way with a society with an extensive welfare program is a debate the "open borders" folks never seem to want to get involved in.

[NY Times] Democrats in Congress said Tuesday that they had developed legislation to override the Supreme Court decision on contraceptives. The bill would ensure that women have access to insurance coverage for birth control even if they work for businesses that have religious objections.
The bill, put together in consultation with the B.O. regime, would require for-profit corporations like Hobby Lobby Stores to provide and pay for contraceptive coverage, along with other preventive health services, under the Affordable Care Act.
The measure could be on the Senate floor as early as next week, Senate Democrats said. House Democrats are developing a companion bill, but it faces long odds in the House, which is controlled by Republicans. Speaker John A. Boehner described the Hobby Lobby decision last week as "a victory for religious freedom."
Senator Patty Murray ... Senator-for-life (D) from Washington state, reputedly not the sharpest intellect to be found in the World's Greatest Deliberative Body. To hear Patty tell it, if we'd built roads and bridges like Osama bin Laden had 9-11 never would have happened... , Democrat of Washington, who led efforts by Senate Democrats to respond to the ruling, said: "Your health care decisions are not your boss's business. Since the Supreme Court decided it will not protect women's access to health care, I will."

This is all for sow. The bill will never make it to hearings in the House. And it would end up in court anyways for First Amendment reasons. These people just don't get it, they are goons who want to force others against their will.
#2
A meaningless political message or demonstration, that is intended to support the radical base and recommends continuing to elect democrats who will legislatively overturn the law.

The Supremes ruled on the basis of the Constitution, IIRC. So who is going to draft a bill to override the Constitution - Maxine Waters?

..oh, they'll do it by Administrative (bureaucratic) law, rather than Constitutional law. Who and what are going to challenge it successfully? There are no checks and balances.

IANAL, but wasn't the SCOTUS ruling primarily on the application of the Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which was not overridden by the ACA proper, and could not by definition by set aside by executive-branch regulation allegedly authorized by ACA? It follows the *logic* of First Amendment constitutional law, but it's still limited to the RFRA proper, and the Democrats could theoretically toss it back into the courts by repealing or amending the RFRA. If, you know, they had a chance in hell of getting such a bill through the House.

Shell game trick. Keep the masses focused on abortion, religion, etc... While we continue to fleece and destroy the country. If they spent as much energy on running this country as they do on deception we would, once again, be the greatest nation...

As I have stated many times, all of this sh$$ will come to a screeching halt fifteen seconds after we the people hang the first DemocratCongresscritter. Lord knows there's enough of them that have absolutely no respect for the rule of law or the Constitution. Patty Murray wouldn't be my first choice (cough -- harry reid -- cough), but she'd definitely be on my list.

[P.WASHINGTONTIMES] Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer tore into President B.O. on Twitter, calling him an "imperial POTUS" for failing to secure the border and allowing undocumented Democrats to "overrun" the country.
"AZ will continue to fight for the rule of law. Lawless decrees by President shows animus to Congress & Constitution," the Republican governor tweeted Monday.
"@BarackObama creates DACA by fiat & illegal aliens overrun USA. AZ will continue to fight this imperial POTUS & demand secure borders," she said.
Her comments came after a federal appeals court ruled that Arizona cannot deny driver's licenses to immigrants allowed to stay in the U.S. under the B.O. regime's deferred action policy, known as DACA.
"Lawless decrees by the President demonstrate animus to Congress, states and the Constitution," the governor said in a blurb Monday. "It is outrageous, though not entirely surprising, that the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has once again dealt a blow to Arizona's ability to enforce its laws."
"This continues us down a dangerous path in which the courts and the President not Congress make our nation's laws," she continued. "The ruling is especially disturbing given the current influx of illegal aliens, a crisis President B.O. created and escalated."
DACA was created by the B.O. regime in 2012 in order to help immigrants younger than 30 who came to the U.S. illegally as children.

[POLITICS.SUNTIMES] Gov. Pat Quinn on Tuesday said he is prepared to deploy Illinois State Troopers to boost reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ... home of Al Capone, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel,... 's efforts to combat violence -- but Mayor Rahm Emanuel hasn't asked.
"If they have a need for additional help, they should let us know," Quinn told news hounds in an unrelated news conference on Tuesday. "I think it's always based on their request. I'm not going to impose anything on any local municipality in the state or a big city like Chicago."
Quinn's comments came after a violent holiday weekend in Chicago that left 13 dead and at least 58 maimed despite hundreds of additional officers assigned to city streets in that time period.
Quinn said the state provides troopers on foot and in cars in and around East St. Louis on the weekends.
"We're prepared to do that in Chicago, we have done that in Chicago," Quinn said. "I'm prepared to help the mayor and police chief if they request it."

So what. Unless you have the judges and prosecutors and juries awaiting to handle the volume, all you'll going to get is catch and release. How's that working on the border?
A multi-volume chronology and reference guide set detailing three years of the Mexican Drug War between 2010 and 2012.
Rantburg.com and borderlandbeat.com correspondent and author Chris Covert presents his first non-fiction work detailing
the drug and gang related violence in Mexico.
Chris gives us Mexican press dispatches of drug and gang war violence
over three years, presented in a multi volume set intended to chronicle the death, violence and mayhem which has
dominated Mexico for six years.
Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
trees were destroyed in the production of this weblog. We did hurt some, though. Sorry.
