When I was in grade school, Office Friendly™ visited once a year to give the safety (stay away from strangers, go tell mom) lecture to the lower grades and the stay off dope lecture to the middle grades. The most violent thing that ever happened was a dust-up on the playground. Now, schools have "resource officers" and we saw how well that worked out at Parkland. Next, the Edu-stablishment wants coppers out of the schools altogether. Anyone want to wager on the direction of the trend line.

Once metal detectors were employed at schools, that said it all.
[ToloNews] The Afghan government on Saturday said that there are serious reservations about the release of over 500 Taliban ...Arabic for students... prisoners within the country’s legal and judicial institutions, and most likely these detainees will not be released.
"Our system (Afghanistan’s legal and judicial system) may not allow a number of the Taliban, who may not be the Taliban--or the individuals who were listed and are accused with other issues--to be released," said Sediq Sediqqi, a front man to President Ashraf Ghani ...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money... On June 6, the Afghan government revealed one of the main reasons behind the delay in the intra-Afghan negotiations, saying it is not releasing 597 prisoners of the 5,000 inmates that were to be freed as part of the confidence-building measures established in the US-Taliban agreement signed in late February.
These individuals are accused of "crimes and moral issues" and are on a list that was given to the government by the Taliban, said Ahmad Rashid Totakhil, head of the prisoners’ release affairs.
Later on July 9, The Taliban handed over a replacement list for the 592 prisoners which were originally rejected as release candidates by Afghan govt, a source said on Thursday.
But, the Presidential Palace has said that the list so far has not been shared.
The government so far released 4,019 prisoners and the Taliban has released 737 prisoners.
Meanwhile, ...back at the comedy club, Boogie sadly admitted that he was a better peeping Tom than he was a comedian... the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs has said that in recent days, the international community has reaffirmed their commitments to the democratic system and the grinding of the peace processor in Afghanistan.
"Participants at the meetings described the continued violence as unacceptable and called on the Taliban to reduce violence and get ready to engage in peace talks," said Geran Hewad, a front man for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, referring to the recent virtual meetings on Afghan grinding of the peace processor.
Meanwhile, ...back at the comedy club, Boogie sadly admitted that he was a better peeping Tom than he was a comedian... Gulbuddin Hekmatyar ... who used to be known in intelligence circles as The Most Evil Man in the World but who now seems merely run-of-the-mill evil... , the reconciled leader of Hizb-e-Islami, has said that the intra-Afghan talks should be held in a country which is not under the influence of the US.
He called on the Taliban to stop violence and avoid making barriers in the way of peace.
"Peace with invaders and war with the Afghan rivals do not have Sharia (Islamic) and logical justification," said Hekmatyar.
The Taliban has said that the group will not endorse the intra-Afghan talks unless the Afghan government releases its 5,000 prisoners from the jails.
The release of the Taliban prisoners is part of the US-Taliban deal signed in Doha in late February.
According to the Afghan government, so far, 4,019 Taliban prisoners have been released.
[Jpost] Officials claim no violation of Iran ...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan. The abbreviation IRGC is the same idea as Stürmabteilung (or SA). The term Supreme Guide is a the modern version form of either Duce or Führer or maybe both. They hate JewsZionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol... deal • Questions abound
Iran’s regime made efforts to secure illicit goods for its nuclear program, adding new urgency to the crisis surrounding Tehran’s alleged atomic weapons activity, the domestic intelligence service of the Federal Republic of Germany disclosed in a new report.

Constantinople fell in 1453. In the first few hours the Moslem onquerors immediately trashed the cathedral and its Christian symbols and did hideous and cruel things on the altars and to the iconography. Read the original sources from the period referenced in Raymond Ibrahim’s Sword and Scimitar on the fall of Byzantium.

And from that baptism in blood the day NoMoreBS describes until Kamal Ataturk introduced secularism in 1935(?) it was a mosque. Until this week it was a museum — they even uncovered some of the glorious Christian mosaics in recent years, confident that the situation was permanent. At least there are now photos of them — who knows what destruction Sultan Erdogan I’s neo-Ottomans will glory in.
