It was the responsibility of Secret Service to protect President Trump, and they failed.
Kim Cheatle must resign and face criminal charges for being an accessory to the murder of Corey Comperatore, and the attempted murder of President Trump.

still a toss-up between incompetence or collusion... although "and" is a real possibility.
The Washington Post proves that DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas *LIED* about not denying Secret Service protection to former President Donald Trump prior to last Saturday's assassination attempt.
… about the denial of Trump team security requests.
“The assertion that a member of the former president’s security team requested additional security resources that the U.S. Secret Service or the Department of Homeland Security rebuffed is absolutely false,” said Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service. Former Chicago PD spokeshole. Referred to as "Google Me" by Second City Cop
The Washington Post later reported "Guglielmi said the agency had learned new information indicating the agency’s headquarters may have in fact denied some requests for additional security from Trump’s detail and was reviewing documentation to understand the specific interactions better."
The Congress already had enough justification to impeach DHS Secretary Mayorkas over deliberately causing a border crisis. The Secret Service's mishandling of the Trump assassination attempt and the DHS cover-up add to the disgraceful record of one of the worst Cabinet officials in U.S. history.
Mayorkas should have been removed from office a long time ago. The fact he is still there means that the Biden administration and the Congress feel they are above accountability to the American people.

The Congress also already has enough info to impeach Biden for his mismanagement of US border security, bad enough to be called either a "high crime" or a "misdemeanor" justifying removal from office.

[MSN-Law&Crime] The 48-year-old former mayor of College Park, Maryland was sentenced to more than 100 years behind bars after he pleaded guilty to 140 charges for the possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Associate Seventh Circuit Court Judge Karen H. Mason on Monday ordered Patrick Wojahn to serve 150 years in a state correctional facility, but decided to suspend 120 years of that sentence, authorities announced.
Specifically, Wojahn in August pleaded guilty to 60 counts of distribution, 40 counts of possession, and 40 counts of possession of child sex abuse material with intent to distribute, records show.
Judge Mason also sentenced Wojahn to serve five years of probation upon his release and to register as a sex offender. Under Maryland state law, defendants convicted of nonviolent mostly peaceful crimes are eligible to be released on parole after completing 25% of their sentence. In Wojahn’s case that would be 7 1/2 years.
Effectively, that means that if Wojahn is released and violates the conditions of his probation, he can be sent back to prison for the remaining 120 years of his sentence.
THE SENTENCE
In a news conference following the sentencing hearing, prosecutors said that the CSAM found on Wojahn’s electronic devices was quite disturbing and included pictures and videos of infants and toddlers being sexually abused by adults.
Prosecutors reportedly also said that there was hundreds of child victims being sexually abused in the material found on Wojahn’s devices, noting that Sherlocks were able to identify 52 of the victims, at least one of whom had died by suicide. Several of those victims penned victim impact statements that prosecutors read in court, The Baltimore Sun reported.
As previously reported by Law&Crime, Wojahn in March resigned as mayor of College Park — home to the University of Maryland campus — following his arrest in March 2023.

[CNN] Former President Donald Trump’s security detail had complained they were not being given enough resources and personnel by the Secret Service over the past two years, and the agency acknowledged Saturday it denied some requests.
A spokesperson for the Secret Service said in a statement Saturday that the agency has not provided certain resources in the past but has instead provided other security measures including from local partners.
The news comes amid widespread concerns about how a sniper was able to obtain rooftop access roughly 150 meters from Trump’s position at an outdoor rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last week.
The Washington Post and The New York Times reported earlier Saturday that the Secret Service denied previous request from Trump’s security team over the past two years.
Some close to the former president felt the decisions, which they believed were personal to Trump, came from the top ranks of the agency.
While Trump holds close relationships with members of his Secret Service detail, the relationship between those agents and the upper ranks of the agency has been tense for some time, according to multiple sources familiar with the dynamic.
In response to questions from CNN over whether the Secret Service had denied additional security requests, a spokesperson told CNN the agency makes "modifications" when certain resources are not provided to protectees.
"In some instances where specific Secret Service specialized units or resources were not provided, the agency made modifications to ensure the security of the protectee," Anthony Guglielmi, chief of communications for the Secret Service, wrote in a statement. "This may include utilizing state or local partners.... Or 'Joe Shi* the Rag Man' from DHS.
....to provide specialized functions or otherwise identifying alternatives to reduce public exposure of a protectee." Emphasis added.

The horse faced Secret Service director will likely resign just before testifying to congress, them plead the 5th.
She was likely turning down the additional resurce requests for Trump as directed by the WH. No one under her would dare make such a decision, nor would she make the decision without POLITICAL COVER !

The security that day was deliberately weakened. While I'm not completely in the "They knew about the shooting and wanted Trump dead" camp (although they would shed no tears and private pop Champaign if he was), it was a deliberate process to bring the USS to that state.
1)First a DEI incompetent chief is pushed into the position by Jill
2) DEI hires and promotement are pushed through the agency preventing competent people from being hired or getting promoted.
3) USS refuses to give Trump more protection. And while it is USS policy to only give candidates the full protection, it was pretty bloody obvious Trump was the guy.
4) Jill decides to have an event on the same day as the rally pulling agents (and I'm assuming the more experienced ones)
5) Trump is now "protected" by his core group he had and a bunch of ones thrown in without adequate training and leaders.

As all of this was unfolding, did ANYONE on the Butler Secret Service team contact folks monitoring in events from D.C.? Ask for guidance? You know damn well there's D.C. monitoring and reporting effort, either Secret Service, Homeland Security, FBI, or all three.
Come on you sorry SOB's, come clean or leave the field.
I'd like to hear from Erik Prince. Has anyone heard from him. How about JSOC at Fort Bragg? Opinions, comments ?

Just the most casual glance at the visible security at Butler fairgrounds at the time of the rally would have led a decent security team to directly tell the candidate "Sir, we cannot adequate protect you for this event. You must call it off."
Has that ever happened, even once?

[Gateway] An Obama judge has tossed out a lawsuit by the GOP to ban mail-in ballots in Nevada received up to four days after election day.
The challenge to the state’s law passed in 2021, which is designed to allow Democratic organizers to commit fraud and steal elections from Republicans, was dismissed by Obama-appointed Federal District Court Chief Judge Miranda Du as lacking standing.
In her 15-page ruling, Du said there was no evidence that the plaintiffs "have suffered, or will likely suffer, an injury" from the rules, which allow Democrats and corrupt election officials to "find" the required number of votes to steal elections in which Republican candidates have a small but surmountable lead.
"It does not necessarily follow that mail ballots arriving after Election Day will skew Democratic," she wrote. "And even if later-arriving mail ballots have favored Democrats past elections, it is far from guaranteed that Nevada voters will behave similarly this November."
#3
Interesting ruling because I recall in the 2020 Pennsylvania lawsuit about counting ballots the judge ruled ‘plaintiffs should have sued before the election; not after’. So there you have it. Per-election=no standing —— post-election = too late to change the rules.

[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] … being charged with lying to feds about Joe and Hunter Biden bribery claims.
Good lord. Exactly how gullible are those FBI agents?
FBI informant Alexander Smirnov, who was indicted for lying to the feds after claiming Joe Biden took a $5million bribe, has been unmasked for the first time by DailyMail.com. Israeli-American Smirnov, 43, was secretly used for years by the FBI as a trusted Confidential Human Source. But every time he appears in public he goes to great lengths to cover his face to avoid being recognized. But now DailyMail.com has obtained previously unpublished pictures of the man who told his FBI handler he was at meetings with a Ukrainian oligarch who bragged about bribing Joe Biden and his son Hunter with $10million.
Republican lawmakers published an FBI write-up of the claims, and seized upon it as evidence of the president's corruption.
Smirnov now faces 25 years in prison for allegedly fabricating the claims, and is accused of 'high-level' and 'extremely recent' links with senior Russian intelligence officials – including the chief of an assassination squad.
Or is someone trying to gin up another Russia, Russia, Russia!
An FBI report describing his claims about the Bidens became one of the shocking documents in the Republican impeachment probe of the President when it was published last year.
The allegations are now being cast as potential Russian propaganda by Special Prosecutor David Weiss. In federal court filings, Weiss said Smirnov's travel and communication records show he didn't engage with Burisma executives until 2017, and he never met Zlochevsky.
One of Weiss's court submissions claimed Smirnov had 'high-level contacts with Russian intelligence operatives,' and that he passed on 'false information' to the FBI from these sources. The filing said Smirnov told his FBI handlers that one of his confidants was a son of a 'former high-ranking Russian government official,' who 'controls two groups of individuals tasked with carrying out assassination efforts in a third-party country.'
Prosecutors said Smirnov had planned to be back in the US for just two days, before flying to meet his Kremlin spy contacts, when he was arrested in Vegas.
Weiss claimed Smirnov had $6million in 'liquid funds', including $3.8million accessible by his 'wife/girlfriend', who pays his personal expenses from her own account – an apparent reference to Lavrenyuk, 58.
Residency records show her living with Smirnov in San Juan Capistrano, California, until 2023. A three-bed, 2,805 sq ft condo in a Vegas luxury high-rise was purchased in her name for $980,000 in February 2022.
Smirnov has a murky background with ties to trading of penny stock public companies and offshore companies. A source who worked with Smirnov provided company documents showing the FBI informant is linked to a firm called A.S. Financials Ltd in the Republic of Vanuatu, a tiny Pacific island chain off the northeast coast of Australia.
But in February prosecutors charged Smirnov with lying to the FBI by fabricating the bribery story – and suggested that he was in fact a Russian double agent planting Kremlin disinformation.
Smirnov, represented by top Vegas attorney David Chesnoff, has entered a not guilty plea.
Photographs exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com show him partying in Las Vegas, his city of residence before he was thrown in federal prison awaiting trial.
The mysterious informant has never been pictured in public without a mask. At a court hearing on February 20, Smirnov's girlfriend Diana Lavrenyuk, 58, and cousin Linor Shefer, 38, were pictured flanking him as he walked through a gaggle of journalists and photographers with his face covered with sunglasses, a face mask, scarf and hood. Photographs inside the federal courthouse were prohibited.
The unmasked pictures, obtained by DailyMail.com from a source who has worked with Smirnov, show him flying business class with Lavrenyuk, taking a selfie while smoking a cigarette beside the Bellagio Fountain in Vegas, and attending a gala dinner with his girlfriend, who wore a red dress, furs, and a costume mask over her eyes.
Other undated photos show Smirnov dressed in a black suit, red rose boutonniere and gold chain, appearing sloppy with his eyes closed, at a Vegas hotel dinner table with Lavrenyuk posing by his side.
In April CBS News previously obtained a grainy passport photo of Smirnov from several years ago – the only other unmasked picture of the mysterious man.
The Israeli-American kept a low profile while he acted as a paid informant for federal law enforcement over 13 years, helping numerous criminal and counterintelligence probes, according to prosecutors.
His indictment revealed he was the 'Confidential Human Source' who told handlers about alleged 2015 and 2016 meetings with the owner of Ukrainian gas firm Burisma, Mykola Zlochevsky, in which the oligarch boasted about bribing Joe and his son Hunter Biden with $5million each.
Smirnov and his girlfriend are pictured again during the same Vegas trip, posing around the dinner table
Despite being named after Smirnov's initials, the firm's sole director and shareholder is his father, Konstantin Smirnov, a Russian-born Israeli resident, 2017 company documents show.
Konstantin is also a partner in Felymos Trades Inc, a company based in the offshore tax haven of Panama, another document obtained by DailyMail.com shows.
Hints of the FBI informant's double-life slipped through to neighbors at his former home in San Juan Capistrano in conversations over dinner at a local steakhouse or backyard barbecue.
'He said he had connections with important people. In one conversation he mentioned that he had a meeting with the Minister of Defense in Afghanistan,' one neighbor, who asked to remain anonymous, told DailyMail.com. 'And he had connections with important people in the US.'
'I know he was involved with the government. I know he was originally from the East Bloc. Though I don't think he actually told me that,' said Mike Pastore, a 75-year-old mortgage broker who lives opposite the terracotta-tiled four-bed house where Smirnov resided the past five years before moving to Vegas in 2023.
'From time to time, we talked about geopolitical stuff, and he was well informed. It was an interesting conversation with him… He traveled a lot.'
The government's prosecution of Smirnov for lying is a dramatic reversal of their position from just last year, when FBI director Christopher Wray said that the then-unidentified informant was so valuable to the Bureau's investigations that they could not release a write-up of his interviews with a handler to Republican lawmakers.
And after using the intelligence Smirnov provided for many federal probes over a decade, the new charges against him have opened a can of worms for the government.
Other defendants, who were convicted after federal probes involving Smirnov, have started challenging their charges.
Andrew Hackett, 35, says he is a victim of a government cover-up of Smirnov's involvement in his case, over a pump-and-dump stock trading scheme.
[NY Post] The rank smell continues Secret Service officials repeatedly rejected Donald Trump’s request for additional security in the two years before last weekend’s assassination attempt, The Post has learned.
The ex-president, 78, asked for more agents and magnetometers at large public events he attended, as well as extra snipers for outdoor venues, four insiders told The Washington Post, which first reported the damning revelation.
Each request was shot down by senior officials who claimed the agency lacked the resources Trump was asking for, the outlet reported.
Secret Service agents, alone with local law enforcement, were responsible for securing the rally when 20-year-old gunman Matthew Thomas Crooks opened fire at the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign outdoor rally in Pennsylvania last Saturday.
Crooks was lying on a rooftop just 130 yards away from Trump when he squeezed off as many as seven rounds, grazing the politician in the ear and killing an audience member who sat behind the stage. Two others were seriously injured.
Outrage at the security lapse led the federal security agency to up Trump’s detail to the same level as President Biden, The Post exclusively reported earlier this week.
The Secret Service initially denied claims that someone from Trump’s camp asked for more help ahead of the deadly shooting as “absolutely false.”
Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who has faced mounting pressure to resign in the last week, doubled down on the denials in a meeting with Trump campaign leadership in Wisconsin on Monday, the insiders said.
After massive holes in the ex-president’s security team were revealed, however, the agency has changed its tune.
Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesman for the Secret Service, admitted to The Washington Post that the agency had denied Trump’s request for additional security, but claimed it had only learned about the new information in the wake of the tragedy.
Trump has continued on the campaign trail despite the terrifying experience, this time with beefed-up security at his disposal.
He was given a “pretty unprecedented level of police officers” Saturday for his indoor event in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where the presidential hopeful and his new running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, were welcomed by roughly 14,000 adoring supporters.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] … years before assassination attempt - as their shocking reasons are revealed.
Secret Service officials refused to provide Donald Trump with additional security in the two years prior to last weekend's assassination, according to a report.
The damning details revealed that the ex-president's request for more agents and magnetometers at events he attended was denied.
Four insiders told The Washington Post that each request was rejected by senior officials. The higher-ups of the Secret Service allegedly claimed that the agency lacked the resources Trump was asking for.
It has also been revealed that Trump was receiving less protection - after losing the election and his bid for a second term in 2020 - than other former presidents and major party presidential candidates.
These oversights have been unearthed in the aftermath of the attempted assassination of Trump, 78, last Saturday at his rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Crooks' attempt on Trump's life was enabled by multiple instances of negligence on behalf of the security agents. Somehow, Crooks was able to fly a drone over the rally site the same day as the event - which investigators believe was an effort on his behalf to scope out the situation and prepare for his assassination attempt. Additionally, he was spotted and then watched by law enforcement at the Trump rally site - because they sensed something wasn't right - and yet they managed to lose sight of him before the carnage unfolded, according to reports.
They now face a torrent of questions about how the first assassination attempt in 43 years was allowed to happen.
Last Saturday night, FBI Special Agent Kevin Rojek released a statement saying that it was 'surprising' that Crooks managed to fire off so many shots.
There have been suggestions that routine checks would have eliminated all potential threats - which calls into question the standard of the Secret Service under the current administration. Experts have told DailyMail.com that these failings are a symptom of an 'agency in crisis' after decades of understaffing and corrupt promotion and hiring practices.
John Koskinen, from the nonpartisan National Academy of Public Administration, led an 18-month study into the Secret Service's workforce in 2019.
That was on President Trump’s watch. No wonder they were out to get him.
Saturday's events shocked him, but Koskinen was not surprised by the whistleblower claims, telling DailyMail.com that the Service has been struggling to cover an increasing number of people and respond to more sophisticated threats in recent years.
'Life has gotten much more complicated,' he said, 'the threats are more sophisticated and ongoing, and now you're in the middle of a campaign.'
Cheatle, 53, was appointed director of the Secret Service in 2022, having worked for the agency for 27 years before leaving in 2019 to head up global security at PepsiCo.
Announcing her selection, President Joe Biden revealed that 'Kim' had 'served on my security detail when I was Vice President' and he and Dr. Jill Biden 'came to trust her judgment and counsel'.

[FoxNews] President Biden announced Sunday that he will suspend his 2024 re-election campaign amid mounting pressure from within the Democratic Party for the president to end his 2024 bid after a disastrous debate performance last month.
The unprecedented announcement came as an increasing number of Democrat lawmakers had begun to publicly call for Biden to step aside and the party's leadership reportedly was engaged in efforts to convince Biden, 81, he could not win in November's general election against former President Trump, the 2024 GOP nominee who Biden defeated four years ago to win the White House.
And Biden quickly offered his "full support and endorsement" for Vice President Kamala Harris to take over as the party's presidential nominee.
"It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your president," Biden wrote in a public letter. "While it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interests of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term."
Biden said he will formally address the nation later this week about his decision.
The Trump campaign quickly started fundraising off the blockbuster news. Within 440 minutes of the preisdent's announcement, the Trump campaign put out a fundraising post on X with the subject line, "Biden just suspended his campaign."

The Biden-Clinton-Harris wing of old-demokrat kleptocrats are now aligned against Obama and the zealot/ideologues for control of the Presidency/government lottery. Hilda just endorsed Kamala and Obama did not. Signals to minions have been set. Both sides will play nice for about a week and then the blackbooks open and the battery-counterbattery fires begin. Interesting and the quality of the dirt, when it gets to stuff that can be collected by sources only governmental resources like the 3-letters command, will show where the Deep State betting is going and who they gave it to. Fascinating.
BUT...the people in the WH, The Foreign Policy/National Security leadership at senior levels, are ALL going to taking their eyes off the ball, polishing resume's and sucking up. The already amateur-hour level of attention will rapidly diminish, and Iran, Russia, China, Cuba, and mutts from every third rate-shithole will know it and see this as the moment to act! This is a DEFCON 2 moment my friends....

My bet is Hillary comes on board as veep to mind the store and keep Kammy looking over her shoulder. Ideal Dem candidates are then Sherrod Brown with Tulsi Gabbard. Sherrod offsets Vance and can play “the adult in the room.” Tulsi punches the DEI buttons and is also a vet. She can play up reconciliation with the Dems the way Vance did with Trump to chase the swing votes. More mainline candidates increase making the margin of cheat believable

There are questions being floated as to why Biden doesn't resign now instead of finishing out his term.
Perhaps it would be because of who's in line for a President Harris' Vice President until January. That would scr*w up the Senate.
That and she'd be the first female Prez instead of Saint Swillery.

There is a chance Joe gets up tomorrow and forgets he dropped out… he will remember when he sees a Kamala for President ad on CNN where she takes credit for ‘finally defeating Medicare’.
#32
Why not resign? Maybe because the Speaker of the House would be next in line of succession. You think the Donks would nominate someone to fill the position (see - Gerald Ford) that the Trunks would confirm? I guess they could ask for Mitt Romney RINO who they called Hitler when he ran against Obama.
#33
Apparently it's conspiracy theory season - already one circulating that someone simply persuaded Joe's Twitter poster to slap that thing up during his afternoon nap. Unlikely - but it'd be hilarious watching him try to walk it back.

Wait a minute. To be clear Biden has not said anything. This announcement, I think came from his personal twitter account. He as said NOTHING in public.
#35
Too angry to show his face or make any recording? Jill and others cut the deals and made the announcements knowing he can't let the public know he is that disconnected from power?
He may well be that far gone, the last couple of days he has look really decrepit and damaged, perhaps Kamala may be President for a time after all?
#2
Neither Biden or Harris would still be in it unless they knew the fix was in (like last time). They'll be riding it out if Joe has to be wheeled in on a gurney with IV's.
[AmericanGreatness] Speaking at a rally in Grand Rapids, MI, Vice Presidential Nominee J.D. Vance (R-Ohio) mentioned said that Vice President Kamal Harris doesn’t like him and even said he was disloyal to the U.S.
Vance’s response:
@JDVance1
: Kamala Harris said that I had no loyalty to this country. Well, I don't know Kamala — I did serve in the United States Marine Corps and built a business. What the hell have you done other than collect a check?
Vance, who has represented Ohio in the U.S. Senate since 2023, enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2003 after graduating from Middletown (OH) High School and served in Iraq.
Harris’ career has consisted entirely of government and political jobs, having begun her career as a deputy district attorney in Alameda County, Calif.

Fauci made the comments after the former president, 78, wore a large white bandage over the gunshot wound on his ear throughout the Republican National Convention this week.
'I don't think there is much more to it,' Fauci, 83, said of Trump's wounds while talking to CNN host Wolf Blitzer on Friday. 'It was a bullet shot that grazed his ear.'
And Covid-19 is just a common cold virus, dude. No reason to force the population to isolate while shutting down the nation’s economy.
Trump was nearly killed last week when gunman Thomas Matthew Crooks shot up a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania - but there has been no formal update on his condition.
Fauci, who served as chief medical advisor to the president, added that, according to the physician who examined Trump, there was no other further damage. The point isn't that the bullet only grazed Trump and left a hole in his ear. The reason he got grazed was that somebody tried seriously to murder him. Had he not turned his head precisely when he did, his brains would have splattered the people behind him.
Update on Trump's wound
[PUBLISH.TWITTER] What President Trump’s physician has to say on the subject:
Guess what? It turns out that the anonymous turncoat Democrats calling for Biden to step down are relaying the wishes of their donors. And there is more. Most of these donors are calling for the ouster of both Biden and Harris.#VoteBidenHarrisToSaveAmericaFromOligarchshttps://t.co/DrIlGQrwCa
A lot of the Democratic bigshots are in this age group.
Pelosi born in 1940.
Bernie born in 1941.
Hillary born in 1947.
Liz Warren born in 1949.
Schumer born in 1950.

The 'voters' had their say in the primaries and chose Biden/Harris. That's nice. Now the 'donors' want to buy their way out of that quandary?
If only the donors had recognized JoJo's problems sooner!

Their operation of a illegal shadow government, after Mr. Biden mentally lost it about 2 years ago. Then their conspired denials to hide it from the American Public, is now costing them millions in needed campaign dollars.
For some, it may even cost them rest of their free lives, given the US Criminal code punishment for such treasonous crimes.
The Democratic Party plans to formally nominate Joe The Big Guy Biden ...46th president of the U.S. The very model of probity.... for president in an early virtual roll call vote in early August, the Democratic National Committee said Friday, as calls for the 81-year-old leader to step down from the campaign mount.
The DNC (If you're white you ain't right!) ...Democrat National Committee, where all those off-the-wall talking points originate... 's convention rules committee met virtually Friday and decided the vote would not take place before Aug. 1 or after Aug. 7. The committee said a final date would be set by DNC leadership after a second committee meeting next week.
The 3,896 pledged delegates will be given a 24-hour notice before the virtual ballot window opens.
There also are 700 automatic "superdelegates," which include members of the House and Senate, governors, state party chairs and DNC members. They are not permitted to vote on the first ballot unless it's determined that one candidate has an absolute majority of pledged delegates.
Biden won 99% of the pledged delegates.
The four-day Democratic convention is scheduled to start Aug. 19 in reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown ...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel... Typically, parties nominate their candidates at their national conventions, during live roll-call votes. In 2020, the process was conducted virtually because of the pandemic.
Party leaders say the virtual roll call is necessary to avoid litigation in Ohio, which requires major parties to have a presidential nominee by 90 days from the presidential election to appear on the ballot. This year that date falls on Aug. 7.
"My goal as counsel is to ensure we address and avoid all unnecessary legal risk on the way. And that's why we need a virtual nominating process," Dana Remus, a former White House counsel advising the DNC on the process, said. "It's why the wisest, most prudent course is to have that process conclude in time to allow us to file a certified nomination in Ohio by Aug. 7."
Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison on Friday described his excitement to "renominate President Joe Biden and Vice President Kámala Harris Former Oakland mayor Willie Brown's former mistress, then a senatrix from California former 2020 Dem presidential hopeful, and Joe Biden's wing nut... " and to promote the "Biden-Harris ticket."
So far, 35 members of Congress have called for Biden to leave the racwe.
Late Friday, Ohio Sen. Sherrod I absolutely trust Hillary Brown Dem senator from Ohio who harbored the same presidential ambitions as the rest of his colleagues. At a distance he was indistinguishable from most other Dem politicians, including the females. It can be said that he waned without waxing... , a Democrat seeking reelection, called for Biden to not seek reelection.
Other Senators seeking a change are Peter Welch of Vermont, Jon Tester of Montana and Martin Henrich of New Mexico. All but Welch are seeking reelection.
Prominent members of the House urging him to at least consider leaving the race are Adam Schiff >...Showboating U.S. Representative for California's 28th congressional district since 2013. A member of the Democratic Party, Schiff has served in Congress since 2001. He currently serves as the chairman of the United States House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. In a manner reminiscent of Joe McCarthy, on March 22, 2017, in a interview with Chuck Todd on MSNBC Schiff claimed there was “more than circumstantial evidence now” that Donald Trump's campaign colluded with Russia." Todd followed up by asking if he had seen direct evidence of collusion and Schiff responded that there was "evidence that is not circumstantial and is very much worthy of investigation"...> is Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party,, Jim Hines of Connecticut and Zoe Lofgren of California. Jamie Raskin of Maryland said Biden should reconsider his decision.
Rep. Mark Takano of California on Saturday posted on Facebook: "Joe, I love and respect you. But the stakes are too high to fail. It's time to pass the torch to Kamala (Harris)."
Biden defiantly has ignored their advice during public appearances and interviews with the media.

If Trump had NOT survived the assassination attempt, how many Dems would be calling for Biden to step down ?
ZERO! None of them. The step down crap is nothing more than media cover for failed events. Kabuki theater at it's finest. The Dems already know he's not stepping down.
When you begin to see the media start talking about Biden Crime Family pardons, YOU WILL THEN KNOW he is stepping down.
