[BREITBART] NBC News news hound Ken Dilanian suggested Monday that President Donald Trump ...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States... would hurt the livelihoods of B.O. regime alumni by taking away the "valuable commodity" of their security clearances.
Dilanian (pictured, bottom center), who covers the intelligence community and national security issues, accused Trump of "seeking to levy a financial penalty" on former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper ‐ both of whom are paid contributors at cable news networks.
Brennan now works for Dilanian’s employer NBC News as an MSNBC analyst. Clapper has since joined CNN in a similar capacity.
He further insinuated that federal employees should consider resisting the order if the president gives it, lambasting Trump for what he called an "extraordinary threat of political retribution."
Security clearances are a valuable commodity. By making this threat, @realDonaldTrump is seeking to levy a financial penalty on @JohnBrennan and Clapper. There are also public policy reasons that former intel leaders remain cleared‐so they can help their successors.

The national security officials who run this process will have to decide whether they can live with themselves if they go along with this extraordinary threat of political retribution. The president can probably pull the clearances of anybody he wants. https://t.co/ZIcvqLKDDb

Will the idea that they're not supposed to use these clearances for financial gain be mentioned by anybody?
#2
What is the color of the sky on Planet Dilanian? Security Clearances™ are a privilege that the government conditionally extends at the government's convenience. They aren't your personal property.
#3
The fact that someone could make financial gain out of the security clearance should be reason enough to revoke it. It's not a money making dodge for crying out loud.

It's right up there with CNN's headlines yesterday that the Iridium 7 launch was a failure because SpaceX didn't recover intact pristine fairings. Nobody has ever recovered intact pristine fairings and only SpaceX has tried to do so. Current mass media appears to be biased and illiterate.

NBCNews reporter Ken Dilanian suggested Monday that President Donald Trump would hurt the livelihoods of Obama administration alumni by taking away the “valuable commodity” of their security clearances.
The writer is mistaken. No, it's not Trump. It's a cabal of Deep State leftists from the previous administration (and a few Rinos) who did it to themselves with their plot to take down a duly-elected POTUS elected to clean up the mess that's been festering. They have lied, schemed, committed crimes, obstructed justice, covered-up and been seditious and treasonous.
His argument is like the bank robber blaming the bank for their clerk getting shot in his hold-up. Specious.

Many of these erudite, cogent comments flashed through my nimble brain whilst reading the headline.
But to answer Crazy Fool's inquiry, I'd say they are prostituting their clearances.

Lots of angry hype here. When you get a security clearance, you get it for a number of years. The clearance is you getting it, not the job getting it. Once you retire, it is supposed to go inactive. It stays in that mode until you get into a position or job that requires the clearance. Then they assign it to a position that aligns with the requirement and your clearance is reinstated. You cant just walk into a classified meeting because you have clearance, it requires proof of need to know and approval. So this removing clearances is all just hype. What they need to do is insure only active employees' clearances are being managed by the CIA, then they would have to have him on the rolls and he would fall under all the ethics rules of the agency. There should only be one clearance at the level of director of the CIA, the rest should be downgraded and placed in the inactive category...

Sort of like BLM permits to dig, log or drill. The government had no problem pulling those in the previous administrations even though it caused 'financial' harm.

Just think of the financial harm these treasonous bastards will suffer when they're locked up in a super max.

I think you miss the point of why clearances should even continue after the holder loses his job (for whatever reason, not just retirement). That part makes zero sense and never has. And it is not "just hype". But I guess there is also the excuse "We've always done it this way."
Clearances go inactive when a holder no longer has a job that requires one or a need to know, depending on the level and type of clearance. This is especially true WRT being read into compartmented intel info, but is more broadly true of all clearances.
But all clearances are predicated on background investigations of several types - and those do expire. Once a BI expires, no clearances are authorized until and unless a sponsoring government agency authorizes and funds an updated investigation.

During a Russian TV debate about the recent Trump-Putin meeting, one of the participants spoke at length about how Trump could face the same consequences as JFK because he is "ruining" the "military-financial elites".
The man in the clip arguing that Trump risks being assassinated by the deep state is Karen Shakhnazarov, a Russian filmmaker, producer and screenwriter who has previously expressed support for Vladimir Putin.
Reacting to the recent Trump-Putin press conference, Shakhnazarov said Trump was "defending his life" when he raised the issue of the Democratic National Committee’s missing servers.
"He’s perfectly aware of what the American system is and how it treats people who oppose the establishment," said Shakhnazarov, adding, "He’s perfectly familiar with the biography of the Kennedys....it was a matter of life and death for him."
..."We’re entering a very dramatic period in world politics," added Shakhnazarov, asserting that western elites are facing a "catastrophe" because their new world order is coming apart at the seams and that this could be a good thing or it could end up with "civil war in America".
Shakhnazarov rhetoric is similar to that of Vladimir Putin himself when the Russian President told his Ministry of Foreign Affairs last week that "powerful forces" within the United States are aggravating tensions between America and Russia at the expense of their own national interests.

#5 Shot by a communist who offered his services to Russia?
Or was this another Deep State deal with a convenient patsy? Recent releases of the Kennedy assassination files suggest that we didn't and don't know all there is to know about the assassination. There were references to a 2nd shooter in these releases. Not all the files have been released. Shooting.

...The impeachment articles are the result of nearly 9 months of unsuccessful congressional attempts to force the Department of Justice (DOJ) to comply with oversight requests.
The failures cited within the articles include intentionally withholding embarrassing documents and information, knowingly hiding material investigative information from Congress, various abuses of the FISA process, and failure to comply with congressional subpoenas, among others.
[THEAMERICANMIRROR] Move over Jake and Elwood, Maxine Waters U.S. Representative for California's 43rd congressional district, serving since 1991, a total of 26.649395925894236 years. A member of the Democratic Party, she is the most senior of the 12 black women currently serving in the United States Congress, is a member and former chair of the Congressional Black Caucus. Before becoming a member of Congress she served in the California Assembly, to which she was first elected back when Disco was in flower, in 1976, which would make it 41.64734253780389 years. She has been a politician for virtually all her adult life. If she was brighter she'd be a Communist... Comrade Maxine Waters is on a mission from God.
After acknowledging the children in the audience, the Caliphornia, an impregnable bastion of the Democratic Party, Congresswoman ripped into President Trump during a Sunday appearance at First AME Church in Los Angeles.
Wanting to address what people are reading on the "social internet," she said, "We never dreamed we’d have someone in the White House who was divisive ...politicians call things divisive when when the other side sez something they don't like. Their own statements are never divisive, they're principled... , who could not tell the truth, and who was intent on not making America great again, but taking America down."
She hammered Trump, telling the congregants, "I am in this fight."
Waters said there is "an attempt to intimidate, an attempt to frighten, an attempt to make you go away and shut up and be quiet.
"I don’t know shut up!" she said to thunderous cheers. "I don’t know intimidation. I don’t know fear."
She counseled her audience, "Don’t you worry about those who are threatening. Don’t you worry about those who are talking about they’re gonna shoot. I know some of you got a little worried when I said to them, ’If you’re gonna shoot me you better shoot straight.’
"There’s nothing like a maimed animal."
Waters told the audience about the difficulties of the "housing crisis" in America.
"Jesus! Lord!" on congregant exclaimed.
She said she’s pushed back on Democrats who have said to leave Trump alone.
"I’ve said that we can walk and chew gum at the same time," Waters said, and a church goer yelled, "Say it!"

House of Representatives conservatives have filed articles of impeachment in an effort to oust Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
The measures were introduced on Wednesday evening by Representatives Mark Meadows and Jim Jordan.
They accuse him of stonewalling their inquiries, which his department denies.
Impeachment would have to be approved by a majority in the House and backed by two-thirds of the US Senate to convict Mr Rosenstein, which makes the plan a long shot.

Smart move? If the Democrats retake the House (and that seems to be at least a possibility) they'll have an easy excuse for filing articles of impeachment against Trump (which will die in the Senate anyway, so they are useless).

Well, he has been a stop sign or at least a speed bump. He should have recused himself. He was a part of RussiaGate and is in charge of the RussiaGate investigation. What kind of justice is that? Star chamber and kangaroo court?

There has been a mention that Huber reports directly to Sessions and not to Rosenstein. Moreover, there have been suggestions that the reason we are not hearing about the clean-up is that it is ongoing; investigation and development of cases for prosecution. There is this: Referral. It's unclear what the status of these referrals are?

Problem is Rodless is part of the deep state attempted coup, sedation. The turds have corrupt allies on the right. Take John "songbird" as an obvious example.
In the end, not one of these fuckers will ever see jail time. With the example set, this will happen again. And again.
