[REUTERS] The top state prosecutors in New York and Massachusetts said on Tuesday they will refuse to comply with a subpoena from U.S. congressmen for details on their investigations into whether Exxon Mobil misled investors on climate change risks.
The moves by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey are the latest in the political and legislative fight over Exxon Mobil (XOM.N) and investigations on whether the oil company knowingly misled shareholders and the public on climate change.
Earlier this month, the U.S. House of Representatives committee on science, space and technology issued subpoenas to Schneiderman and Healey to force them to submit information on their Exxon investigations, accusing them of having a political agenda.
Healey's legal counsel said in a letter to Republican committee chair Lamar Smith of Texas the subpoena was an "unconstitutional and unwarranted" interference with Massachusetts' "legitimate" investigation into Exxon.
Schneiderman said his office refuses to comply with what he called an "unprecedented" subpoena for a state attorney general, and said the committee does not have a constitutional right to interfere with the states' probes.

So the gist of this story is that the left wants to punish people for not believing in their flat earth concept? We have come to a point of widespread lunacy. The real nub is that the left thinks they have figured out a way to confiscate more money from taxpayers to redistribute to whom they want. It's a power thing.
[WeaselZippers] But Sandra Bland killed herself, according to the witness in the cell next to her, she was upset about neither her activist friends or family coming to get her out of jail. Trayvon Martin wasn't killed by police, he was killed after he attacked a Hispanic man and was beating his head into concrete ground. Mike Brown attacked a police officer and tried to steal his gun.
It is pushing the lies surrounding these deaths that has resulted in the destruction in Ferguson and Baltimore and the deaths of at least 8 police officers.

They are called the 'Mothers of the [bowel] Movement'. Parents who didn't teach their children right from wrong so they turned out to be Thugs who got their just desserts.
BTW: Did Hillary invite any police families to speak?

Certainly there must be a BLM mother to an 'innocent' child somewhere. If cops are hunting down black folks you'd think they would have no trouble finding hundreds that don't have truth issues with the stories.
I'm volunteer fire, and we may squabble and call names during game night, but I consider the blue canaries my cousins.
They block traffic, help out with wrecks, in short cover our backs so we can concentrate on our fronts.
Nevermind what they do for my urban firefighter brothers especially sketchy neighborhoods. Did you see the reports of the vandals cutting fire hoses during Baltimore? Having a hose go out will ruin your day, especially on attack.
And military? Security guards? EMTs? People watching their neighborhoods turn into meth hives?
It is a direct, politically sponsored erosion of emergency response, law, order, and security.
And now the democrats own barry's racial agitations as official policy.
BLM stands for "Black Liberation Movement". They are a terrorist organization who attack law and order and law enforcement officers of all races. True Marxism.

[DAILYCALLER] The new interim head of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) has a colorful history, which includes demanding former President George H.W. Bush confess to an extramarital affair and a belief that "white boys" shouldn’t be allowed to win.
Donna Brazile is set to take over the DNC from Debbie Wasserman-Schultz ...Congresswoman from Florida, the abrasive chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee. She has been a politician since 1992, and prior to that was in training as a political science major. Her primary accomplishment seems to be that she's Jewish... as soon as the Democratic convention in Philadelphia wraps up. Brazile has worked as a political strategist and Democratic party operative for over thirty years, going all the way back to a job on Jesse Jackson’s 1984 effort in the Democratic presidential primary. (RELATED: DNC Interim Head Didn’t Disavow Communist Support)
In 1988, Brazile was working for Michael Dukakis’ presidential campaign when she made an ill-fated decision to believe an unsubstantiated rumor about George H.W. Bush having an extramarital affair.
"George Bush owes it to the American people to fess up," Brazile said. "The American people have every right to know if Barbara Bush will share that bed with him in the White House."
Brazile’s comments were widely denounced as offensive. The Dukakis campaign disavowed them a day later and Brazile resigned from the campaign.
But Brazile’s career was hardly finished, and she didn’t lose her penchant for bold remarks. More than a decade later, she was the campaign manager for Al Gore’s presidential campaign and told The Washington Post she was determined not to let "white boys" defeat her.
"[It’s not a] gender or race, it’s an attitude. A white-boy attitude is ’I must exclude, denigrate and leave behind," Brazile told the Post in 1999. "They don’t see it or think about it. It’s a culture."
[NEWSBUSTERS.ORG] On Tuesday’s The View, host Whoopi Goldberg openly admitted that she could care less if the DNC rigged the system, because it was at the expense of "a white guy." After revealing emails broke last Friday showing DNC officials had conspired to defeat Bernie Sanders ...The only openly Socialist member of the U.S. Senate. Sanders was Representative-for-Life from Vermont until moving to the Senate for the rest of his life in 2006, assuming the seat vacated by Jim Jeffords... , the ladies at the View became angry at Sanders supporters disrupting the Democratic Convention with their booing. Whoopi became enraged and ranted that they should be supporting Hillary Clinton ... sometimes described as The Liberatress of Libya and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another John Jay ... because, "[The system] has been rigged against women for years!"
The panel dismissed the ethics involved in Democratic party officials trying to rig an election. Instead, Whoopi argued, "all these wonderful young people" should be behind "the first female that actually might become President."
She added, "[T]o boo someone who has had just as difficult a time getting to where she's getting to, she wasn't born with a silver spoon!"

Is Brazile a racist?
Isn't that a major job qualification for being a DNC official?
Whoopsie isn't a surprise - she has always been a racist. To have her say that people should vote for Hillary simply because she's a woman isn't surprising either.

That is why they actively discriminate against the new whites, aka Asians, in universities and colleges of the elite (and California). Asians integrated, the original goal of 'civil rights'. For them it wasn't about power, but achieving success all in the 'Western' sense just like those back home in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and now China.
For the Left, it's better to rule in hell, than serve in heaven.

I'm reaching the point where we should have affirmative action....in professional sports. Anything else is just racist.
[WASHINGTONEXAMINER] Advisors to Hillary Clinton ... sometimes described as The Heroine of Tuzla and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Abel P. Upshur ... are worried that Democratic white men are lying to pollsters and secretly plan to vote for Republican Donald Trump.
"I worry that there is a bit of a secret Trump vote," said influential pollster Celinda Lake.
She has proof revealed in polls that find more white male support when live people are doing the interviewing and less support for Clinton in anonymous online surveys.
"The pattern is in the online surveys, even if you control for demographics, Trump does three to nine points better than in telephone surveys. So it really does suggest that there is a secret vote for Donald Trump," said Lake

They try to frame it as white males but I thnk its primarily Union workers that will vote for Trump but in general they won't publicly say so for fear or pressure from the union.
[ABC11] Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump continued his swing through North Carolina on Tuesday with a speech to the VFW convention in Charlotte.
Trump spoke about problems within the Veterans Administration, including the scandal of long waits and poor quality healthcare.
"We're going to bring honesty back to government and that starts with the VA," Trump told the crowd.
Trump promised a new VA leader and punishment for employees who risk the safety, health, and well-being of veterans.
Trump said - like Hillary Clinton ... sometimes described as The Heroine of Tuzla and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another James Baker ... - he's not in favor of privatizing the VA system.
"The VA system will remain a public system because it is a public trust," he said.

A passionate and moving speech that will go a long way to building bridges with the law enforcement community. TOTALLY NOT! After doubling down like that, I'm guessing she has her sights on a bigger political prize than a Baltimore city position, something state maybe?
I understand why she brought those lame-ass charges. They needed to keep the citizens from burning the city down. It also bought them time buy off some of the 'community organizers', like the BLM guy who got a $165,000 city job.
But jeez, at the cost of burning down relations between the prosecutor's office and the cops in a city that already had a crime problem? That's sure to pay dividends in the future.
Prediction: that speech just bought 2 cop killings and a mini-riot or two next time some black guy gets arrested.
On a positive note, this whole affair may jump-start another season of "The Wire".
