Hekmatyar reacts at Noor, Dostum, and Mohaqiq’s coalition
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The leader of Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin in his reaction regarding the formation of the new coalition has said that his party will support any move or step that strengthens the current system.

However,
a hangover is the wrath of grapes...
he has warned that his party together with the support of the people will stand against any such moves and steps to be taken to weaken the government and system.

Hekmatyar made the remarks in a statement released by his party after a new coalition was formed between Jamaat-e-Islami
...which is not the same as the Pak religious party of the same name...
led by Salahuddin Rabbani and Ata Mohammad Noor, Junbish Millie led by First Vice President General Abdul Rashid Dostum
...ethnic Uzbek warlord who distinguished himself fighting the Soviets and the Taliban. The story that he had a bad guy run over with a tank is an exaggeration. It was an armored personnel carrier...
and Wahdat Islami led by deputy chief executive Mohammad Mohaqiq.

The statement further added that all political parties and movements should join hands and unite their force to support the government and take the country out of the ongoing crisis.

The leader of Hezb-e-Islami his statement also urged the political parties and movements to refrain from any such provocative acts that could take the country into further crisis and repeat the bitter experiences of the past and the devastating war that ruined the country.

According to Hekmatyar, certain elements are still attempting to spark war and violence in the country on the instructions of their foreign supporters and for their own interests.

The new coalition between the three political parties announced their establishment on Friday, days after meetings were organized in the country and on the sidelines of the engagement ceremony of Gen. Dostum’s son in The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire....
In their first statement after the formation of the coalition, its members called on President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani
...former chancellor of Kabul University, now president of Afghanistan. Before returning to Afghanistan in 2002 he was a scholar of political science and anthropology. He worked at the World Bank working on international development assistance. As Finance Minister of Afghanistan between July 2002 and December 2004, he led Afghanistan's attempted economic recovery until the Karzais stole all the money. ..
to prevent from extrajudicial steps and respect the constitution of the country and the authorities of the ministers and directors of the government institutions.

Libyan politicians in call for Jewish community to be allowed to return
[Libya Herald] In a surprise move, a senior member of the so-called National Salvation Government of Khalifa Ghwell has announced that Libya’s Jewish community has the right to return as well as be compensated for any losses its members may have suffered.
Yeah, buddy! If I was a Jew I'd be packing my bags now!
Compensate? A generous thought, but with what funds would that happen? At any rate, the Libyan Jewish community, which dates back to the third century BC, mostly left for Israel, Rome, and North America. The last Libyan Jew left in 2003.
The call was made by Mohammed Ali Triki, a top official in Ghwell’s "foreign ministry", on Thursday at a three-day conference held on the Greek island of Rhodes. It was organised to mark the 50th anniversary of the last exodus of Jews from Libya as a result of the 1967 Six-Day War. Libya’s Jewish community was part of the national fabric, Triki was quoted as saying, adding that the national salvation government would enable them to return.

The right-to-return was supported by Omar Gawairi, the Beida-based government’s information chief, who was also attending.

Ghwell is reported today to have angrily denied reports that Triki was speaking on his behalf in Greece. He also claimed he had no prior knowledge of the Rhodes conference.

Announced three months ago and organised by Rafael Luzon, head of Libyan Jewry abroad, its aims was reconciliation between the exiled Libyan Jewish community and their original home country.

Although it was not officially supported by the Israeli government, one Israeli minister attended ‐ Ayoob Qara, the Arab Druze politician who is minister of communications.

There are no thought to be almost no Jews left in Libya.
None. See comment above. But getting those clever, law-abiding Jews back to jump start the economy is all the rage -- at least in Spain and Portugal.

PUC announces campaign against sectarianism, terrorism
[DAWN] After observing ’Pakistain Stability Day’ on Friday, the Pakistain Ulema Council (PUC) announced a national campaign against sectarianism and terrorism in the counry.

Denouncing terror attacks in Quetta, Parachinar and Masjid-e-Nabvi, leaders of various religious sects, imams, scholars and mashaykh also said the religious leadership of Pakistain was united and committed to the stability of Pakistain and unity of the Moslem ummah.

"The decision to observe Pakistain Stability Day was made in an earlier meeting with the leadership of different religious sects and religious organizations," PUC Chairman Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi, told the media.

He said that, while addressing Friday congregations in various cities, prayer leaders from mainstream sects, including Shia, Deobandi, Barelvi and Ahle Hadis, vowed to carry out a nationwide campaign to annihilate terrorism, extremism and sectarian violence from Pakistain.

"We all understand that any conspiracy to create divisions in Pakistain on account of sectarian differences will be foiled with unity and religious harmony," he said.

US decision will not affect legitimate struggle for Kashmir's freedom: Syed Salahuddin
File under You don't pull on Superman's cape, etc.
[DAWN] Hizbul Mujahideen's supreme commander Syed Salahuddin
...the aging, morbidly obese chief of Hizbul Mujaheddin and the titular head of the United Jihad Council in idyllic Kashmire. Originally owned body and theoretical soul by Jamaat-e-Islami he and his organization are currently controlled by Pakistain's ISI. Salahuddin's hobbies include crocheting doilies shaped like the Taj Mahal, combing his enormous beard, and eating....
said the US decision to designate him as "global terrorist" will not make any difference to the "legitimate" struggle he led for "freedom" in India-held Kashmire.

Salahuddin, the chief of the largest and mainly indigenous Lion of Islam group that fights against security forces in India-held Kashmire, was reacting to the US State Department's announcement of designating him as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT), at a presser on Saturday at the Central Press Club in Muzaffarabad.

Earlier, he received a warm welcome in the city and at many spots people showered rose petals on his vehicle. He, in his traditional appearance, rose out of the sunroof of his vehicle and waved to the crowd and made victory signs.

At the presser, he termed the Donald Trump
...New York real estate developer, described by Dems as illiterate, racist, misogynistic, and what ever other unpleasant descriptions they can think of, elected by the rest of us as 45th President of the United States...
administration’s move as "idiotic" taken to "please and satisfy" Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi "without any reasoning and grounds."

He was designated as global hard boyz hours ahead of a meeting between Modi and US President Donald Trump.

"We have slapped this idiotic step back on the face of both leaders to make the world understand that this foolishness can neither weaken our resolve, nor stop the freedom struggle and the target-oriented actions by the freedom fighters," he said at the crowded presser.

"Wars are fought with courage and spirit that makes you use even a stone as an atomic bomb," he said, referring to the stone pelting by unarmed youth in the held Kashmire that has been giving a tough time to the entire occupation machinery.

Threat continues to reside across the border in Afghanistan, Pak army chief claims
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Mighty Pak Army chief of staff General Javed Qamar Bajwa has claimed that threats being posed to Pakistain continue to reside across the border in Afghanistan.

Gen. Bajwa made the remarks during a meeting with the tribal elders in Parachinar, days after a deadly kaboom destroyed the area, leaving scores of people dead or maimed.

He said that threat continues to reside across the border in Afghanistan with ISIS gaining strength there.

"We need to remain united, steadfast, prepared and vigilant against this threat which has an agenda of exploiting sectarian fault-line," he added.

The latest remarks by the Mighty Pak Army chief came as both Kabul and Islamabad accuse each other of remaining reckless to act against the sanctuaries being used on their respective soil for planning attacks.

The Afghan officials have long been insisting that the leadership councils of the Taliban
...the Pashtun equivalent of men...
group and the notorious Haqqani terrorist network are based in Beautiful Downtown Peshawar
...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire.

[RUDAW.NET] Kurdistan’s agriculture minister has threatened to cut off water to central and southern Iraqi provinces if Iran continues to stem the flow of water into the Kurdistan Region’s border town of Qaladze. “We have warned Iraqi high-ranking authorities that if Iran stems the flow of any two cubic meters water into the Kurdistan Region for whatever reason, we will in return stem a cubic meter water into southern Iraq in order to provide necessary water to the Kurdistan Region,” Abdulstar Majeed, minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s (KRG) Agriculture and Water Resources, has told Turkey’s state-run Anadolu agency.

Iraqi VP: US needs to step it up amid international power vacuum
[RUDAW.NET] Iraqi Vice President Ayad Allawi said that the United States has abandoned its traditional global leadership role.

"There is a vacuum in the overall leadership in the world," Allawi told CNN’s Ace newshound Christiane Amanpour in an interview that aired on Friday.

"The Americans need to get back to their role as an international power, an important international power. "

The rise of ISIS in Iraq and Syria three years ago has caused major instability in the region, but with support from Iranian backed paramilitaries and the US-led coalition in fighting the murderous Moslem group, ISIS has almost been wiped out in Iraq.

Despite the military victory, Allawi stated that the US did not have a broader strategy for battling extremism. He said the US was "absent" and lacked "clear cut policies."

"To me, there is no international strategy ‐ no strategy for the alliances that are fighting and have helped us in this part of the fight," he said.

US National Security Advisor H. R. McMaster, speaking in Washington on Wednesday, had insisted that the US strategy is working well within the region.

"We are being successful with our partners in Syria. We are being successful with our Iraqi partners," he said, noting, "There's still a lot of work to be done. "

But Allawi believes that the US has abandoned its global leadership role.

"There is no clear-cut policies where to go and what to do," Allawi said. "Even for Iraq, it's still premature. I think they are still deliberating on a kind of a strategy for Iraq. Nothing yet has materialized. "

With djinn-infested Mosul
... the home of a particularly ferocious and hairy djinn...
almost completely liberated from ISIS and operations advancing in Syria to retake Raqqa, there is hope of more stability regionally in the near future.

However,
the man who has no enemies isn't anybody and has never done anything...
Allawi said that Iraq has received intelligence that ISIS is attempting to "forge an alliance" with al-Qaeda. Allawi revealed that discussions in both Iraq and Syria are taking place between former al-Qaeda members who never joined forces with ISIS and that it will be "the unification of evil forces. "

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
SDF increases conscription campaign in northern Syria
Train 'em all to fight, hardening their communities against attack in the future, not to mention easing the burden on the Kurds to protect them.
[ARA News] According to the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have increased military conscription in the areas under their control in northern Syria.

"During the reporting period, reports of a large conscription campaign being launched by the Kurdish Self-Administration in SDF-held areas in north-eastern Syria emerged," the UN said.

"The campaign reportedly targets men between 18 ‐ 30 years, irrespective of place of origin and ethnicity and allegedly includes IDPs, even if originating from other governorates. Hundreds of young people have been reportedly recruited over the past few days," the UN office said.

According to the laws of the three local self-administrations of Rojava-Northern Syria [Cizire, Kobani and Efrin], people between 18-30 are conscripted into the self-defence forces, also known as HPX.

More than 500 fighters of the self-defense forces have joined the 3rdphase of the Euphrates Wrath Operation to liberate the city of al-Raqqa in February, the Kurdish news agency ANHA reported.

In an interview with ARA News, Washington-based analyst Nicholas A. Heras, Bacevich Fellow at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), said: "The SDF has entered the phase of its operations that will require more manpower, particularly for providing security in the Northern Syria Federal Region and in holding newly conquered areas from ISIS, whether near Raqqa, or potentially further east in the area of Deir ez-Zor."

"The SDF has growing responsibilities, the Coalition is asking it to do more and more, and as a consequence, the SDF can only keep up with the Coalition demands by increasing mobilization from the population in the Northern Syria Federal Region," he concluded.

Syrian Kurdish officials have said that after Raqqa, it is possible SDF forces will fight ISIS in Deir ez-Zor province in eastern Syria.

Syria harshly criticizes OPCW report on Khan Sheikhun gas attack
[Iran Press TV] Damascus has censured the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) for issuing a "false" report on a chemical weapons attack in the province of Idlib two months ago, saying it has been based on testimonies provided by terrorists.

In a statement released on Saturday, the Syrian Foreign Ministry said the OPCW had better avoid using biased and flawed information in preparing its reports on Syria, saying findings of the organization on the April 4 attack in Khan Sheikhun were in fact "the creation of a sick mind."

It called on the OPCW to prepare "impartial and credible reports that have not been subjected to extortions by countries and parties that prevent it from reaching the truth."

The OPCW report, issued on Friday, said that sarin nerve gas was used in the controversial attack in Khan Sheikhun that left over 90 people killed. The organization, however, did not blame any party to the conflict for the attack.

The United States and allies in the Middle East swiftly accused Syrian Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Terror of Aleppo ...
of having ordered the attack, saying Russian fighter jets also contributed to the bombardment. Syria and Russia denied any involvement. Moscow said at the time that holy warriors supported by the West could have stored chemicals in a depot that was targeted by Russian and Syrian planes.

The incident, not a first of its kind in Syria’s six-year conflict, sparked fresh concerns of a Western military intervention in Syria and even a full-scale confrontation between the United States and Russia. In an apparent response to the Idlib attack, the US military even fired missiles from a warship in the Mediterranean on an airfield in western Syria, killing several Syrian troops.

Iranian FM decries France green light to MKO activities
[Iran Press TV] Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif has expressed regret that the terrorist Mujahedin-e Khalq Organization (MKO) has been given permission to carry out its activities in La Belle France.

The presence and activities of the MKO in La Belle France are regarded as "a moot point" in relations between Tehran and Gay Paree, Zarif told IRIB in an interview published on Saturday, a day after he wrapped up his two-day visit to the French capital.

"During our talks with the French officials, we raised this issue as a moot point in our relations and they also emphasized that they have no connection with this group (MKO)," he said.
He added that the MKO’s terrorist nature is not hidden to anybody, saying all regional and European countries are aware of the group’s acts of terror.

The Iranian foreign minister expressed regret that some "reactionary regimes in the region are once again capitalizing on this group as they did so in the past."
Zarif added that the Islamic Theocratic Republic is aware that Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
has been colluding with the MKO and providing it with financial support since the Iraqi imposed war on Iran in the 1980s.

The Al Saud regime has decided to publicize its cooperation with the terrorist group since last year by attending its meetings, he said.

On Saturday, the MKO terror group held a meeting in Gay Paree, which was attended by some of the former US, European and Saudi officials, including former Saudi spy chief, Prince Turki al-Faisal, who also delivered a speech.

Updated Ramadan Rage 2017 Final Death Count: 1,639 in About 30 Countries, over half by ISIS affiliates
Both articles have considerably more data analysis at the links. The bad guys have been busy being holier than thou during their buy one/get one free holy month.
[Breitbart] The final fatality tally for jihadi attacks during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan increased to 1,639, primarily fueled by victims who succumbed to their injuries, reveals an updated Breitbart News count of terror incidents during the period.

With a total of 3,343 casualties, including 1,704 injuries, Ramadan 2017 is one of the bloodiest holy months in recent history. The number of deaths this year marked a nearly four-fold increase from the estimated 421 people killed by Islamic extremists last year.

There were nearly 160 terror incidents in about 30 predominantly Muslim countries this year, including one jihadi attack in the United States.

Soon after the holiest month for Muslims ended last Saturday, Breitbart News reported that jihadist organizations had killed 1,627 people during Ramadan.

However, after taking into account people who succumbed to their injuries throughout the month and government entities changing the casualty count after Breitbart News initially documented the attacks, this news outlet has determined the final updated tally to be 3,343 casualties (1,639 killed, 1,704 injured).

Breitbart Analysis: Islamic State Killed over Half of Ramadan Jihad Victims in 2017

[Breitbart] The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL), including its Boko Haram affiliate, proved to be the most prolific and bloodiest jihadi organization during this year’s Muslim holy month of Ramadan, responsible for at least 67 terror incidents that resulted in at least 875 fatalities and 577 injuries, according to a database compiled by Breitbart News.

ISIS repeatedly called on its sympathizers and followers to carry out violent attacks during Islam’s holiest month — urging them to wage an “all-out war” on civilians in the West at the start of Ramadan.

Islamic State terrorists ended up carrying out more attacks and executing more people than any other jihadi organization.

Meanwhile, the Taliban and al-Qaeda-linked Haqqani Network was behind the deadliest attack of the holy month that left at least 150 people dead and more than 300 wounded in the Afghan capital of Kabul on May 31.

The Pentagon has deemed the Haqqani Network as the “primary threat” facing U.S.-NATO-led coalition troops in Afghanistan.

During the holy month, ISIS carried out attacks nearly every day in about all corners of the world, including the West.

Breitbart News data reveals that ISIS is behind more than 50 percent of the total 1,639 Ramadan fatalities.

Moreover, the figures show that the jihadi group is linked to at least 67 of the estimated 160 Ramadan terror incidents (nearly 40 percent), more than any other terrorist organization.

Taliban terrorists are believed to have carried out at least 15 incidents resulting in 276 deaths and 441 injuries.

Al-Qaeda, including its Somalia-based al-Shabaab affiliate, are reportedly behind at least five terror incidents that yielded 80 deaths and 43 injuries.

Breitbart News was unable to determine the name of the jihadi group behind an estimated 66 terror incidents that resulted in 327 deaths and 379 injuries, which means the named jihadi groups could be responsible for more than the stated casualties.

The total of 1,452 ISIS-linked Ramadan casualties amounts to more than 40 percent of the overall 3,343 (1,639 deaths and 1,704 injuries) that occurred during the holy month.

ISIS managed to carry out its first attack on Iranian soil during this year’s Ramadan on June 7, killing at least twelve and injuring 46 others at the Islamic Republic’s parliament and the shrine of its revolutionary leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

It was a significant victory for ISIS, which had long been threatening to attack the Shiite powerhouse. The attack also fell on Ramadan, a time when martyrdom and jihad are especially valued.

Islamic extremist groups such as ISIS perceive Ramadan as a time when martyrdom and jihad are doubly rewarded in paradise, prompting a spike in the terrorist attacks during the period every year.

According to Breitbart News’ database, jihadists affiliated with the terrorist group carried out Ramadan attacks from London, England to Marawi, Philippines, and various regions in between, including Africa, home to ISIS’ Boko Haram wing.

Consistent with other years, the deadliest regions during this year’s holy month were the Middle East (765 murders, 526 injuries) and Southwest Asia (442 murders, 865 injuries), including Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India.

Nearly three-quarters of all Ramadan fatalities took place in the Middle East and Southwest Asia, mainly in war-ravaged Iraq and Afghanistan.
