Salon Attacks The Declaration Of Independence
[DAILYWIRE] By JOSH HAMMER

The leftist ingrates at Salon have decided to "celebrate" Independence Day ‐ which is celebrated on July 4th for the sole reason that our beautiful republic's Declaration of Independence was ratified on that day in Philadelphia in 1776 ‐ today in a rather peculiar manner. In what can only be described as a dissemination of the most stereotypically woke of all stereotypically woke takes, the Salon dullards today tweeted: "Despite its positive impact on history, the #DeclarationOfIndependence was also a product of its time‐and bears some of the shortcomings of its era, including racism, sexism and prejudice against #NativeAmericans."

The accompanying piece, courtesy of an obscure Ph.D. named Matthew Rozsa, concludes that America's Founding Fathers "were fallible human beings, and some of their flaws had terrible consequences for people who were not fortunate enough to be born into privileged groups."

Here's the bad news: Human beings are fallible. We all come with flaws. Sometimes our feet and/or our pits stink. We pass gas at least a dozen times a day. We poop. We have the occasional unseemly thought.

We're not angels. Except for most children under ten, we're not even angelic.

Bravery isn't foolishly rushing into a burning building or gunfire or a sinking ship. It's overcoming the natural fear that such acts induce to perform the act.

Likewise, greatness involves overcoming our natural faults, the ones we all have, to achieve something that's of value to the nation, even to future generations. Ben Franklin used to chase women. Alexander Hamilton cheated on his wife and was accused of embezzling government money. John Hancock was arrested for smuggling and had his ship impounded.

Thomas Jefferson used to sleep with Sally Hemings. It's my guess that Sally came to his bed willingly enough; not all women are Xanthippe. Most intelligent women, and I'm assuming she was, are drawn to greatness, even greatness with smelly feet or occasional gas or the occasional racing stripe in his underwear.

Which means that our nation was founded by human beings. Tell us something we didn't know. They were human beings who managed to overcome their individual faults to try and craft a system that balanced individual liberty with the minimal requirements of government, to take thirteen independent states--remember Confederation came before federation--and mold them into one. The fact that we've lasted 250 years is remarkable. Very few other nations have such a record. Other than Britain, no other pops to mind.

I'd call that something to be proud of.

#6  Its not about the flag, Betsy Ross, Jefferson, or the historic statues. It is a systematic process of tearing this nation down, on small thing at a time. Soros knows how to eat an elephant, on bite at a time. He is not worried if it takes ten or 20 years. Eventually everything American will be racist, evil, and wrong. There will be no need to overthrow this nation, we have lost god, our history, our national presence. We will collapse under our own education system teaching our kids their parents support slavery and torture. Folks, they are almost there. The brown shirts are here, our press and political fools are protecting them. Its only one presidential election or two away, Trump is just a minor setback. When we decide to fight back it will be too late... We are stuck on each event, we spin, cuss, and get angry, then we accept that baby its cold outside should be banned. We have lost sight of the strategic goal and they are currently wining the fight for the soul of America...

Sudan’s military rulers pardon 235 detained members of rebel group
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] The head of Sudan’s ruling military council on Wednesday pardoned 235 detained members of the Sudan Liberation Movement, a rebel group that is active in the country’s western Darfur region, according to a statement read out on Sudanese state TV.

The statement, which was attributed to military council head Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, said the prisoners should be released immediately unless they are wanted in connection with other legal proceedings.

Sudan’s main opposition alliance said on Wednesday it was prepared for direct talks with the country’s military rulers over who should head a sovereign council to lead Sudan toward elections.

The Forces of Freedom and Change opposition alliance said the talks, launched in response to a call for negotiations from an Æthiopian mediator, should last three days.

The opposition has been demanding the military give up power since April, when the armed forces toppled President Omar al-Bashir
Head of the National Congress Party. He came to power in 1989 when he, as a brigadier in the Sudanese army, led a group of officers in a bloodless military coup that ousted the government of Prime Minister Sadiq al-Mahdi and eventually appointed himself president-for-life. He has fallen out with his Islamic mentor, Hasan al-Turabi, tried to impose shariah on the Christian and animist south, resulting in its secessesion, and attempted to Arabize Darfur by unleashing the barbaric Janjaweed on it. Sudan's potential prosperity has been pissed away in warfare that has left as many as 400,000 people dead and 2.5 million displaced. Omar has been indicted for genocide by the International Criminal Court but nothing is expected to come of it.
, ending his 30-year rule after months of demonstrations.

"The leadership of the Freedom and Change Forces met and decided to respond to the mediators’ call for direct negotiations with the military council and that the negotiations should only be about the presidency of the sovereign council and that the time frame for the negotiations should be 72 hours," said Madani Abbas Madani, a leader of the Forces of Freedom and Change.

Tunisia Says Suspected Mastermind of June 27 Bombings Dead
[AnNahar] The suspected criminal mastermind of last week's twin suicide kabooms in Tunis was killed when he went kaboom! during a police manhunt outside the capital, the government said Wednesday.

Police had tracked the suspect down to the working class suburb of Intilaka where he detonated a boom jacket on Tuesday night, interior ministry front man Sofiene Zaag told AFP.

"The terrorist Aymen Smiri was implicated in the twin suicide kabooms on Thursday and investigations proved that he was the criminal mastermind of the operation," Zaag said, adding he was a "very active and very dangerous leader."

The investigation had led police to the 23-year-old who lives in Ibn Khaldoun, near Intilaka, the front man said.

"We tracked him down and followed him until he was cornered in Intilaka but happily he went kaboom! away from other people."

Smiri was suspected of "planning a terrorist operation targeting security personnel," Zaag added.

Remains were strewn along a more than 50 metre (yard) stretch of pavement near a metro station in Intilaka, an AFP correspondent reported.

Resident Ibrahim Mejri, 35, said: "I saw him running to try to get away from the police then suddenly he went kaboom!."

Prime Minister Youssef Chahed also said the assailant was part of a group behind last week's bombings.

"All the elements" of the group were arrested, the premier said in a statement published online by private radio Mosaique FM.

The group "planned terrorist operations against Tunisia," he added.

Thursday's bombings in Tunis killed a policeman and brought back memories of deadly 2015 attacks on foreign holidaymakers and security personnel that dealt a serious blow to the country's vital tourism industry.

"The two jacket wallahs were identified and a significant number of arrests made," the interior ministry front man said.

According to police, miscreants on a cycle of violence lobbed a hand grenade at Buleda Staff in Turbat city. The target of the blast appeared to be the security personnel deployed there, they said.

The injured were rushed to district headquarters hospital in Turbat where a state of emergency was imposed to provide treatment expediently.

Police said the assailants managed to escape unhurt from the spot.

A contingent of police and personnel of frontier corps reached the area as investigation into the incident went underway.

There has been no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks.

Balochistan has been hit heavily with violence targetting security personnel this year.

Pakistan announces finance crackdown on Lashkar-e-Taiba
Thus the universe proves it exists independent of my imaginings. Unless this is just posturing for the outside world...
[THEBAGHDADPOST] Pak authorities announced a crackdown on Wednesday against Hafiz Saeed
...founder of Lashkar-e-Taiba and its false-mustache offshoot Jamaat-ud-Dawa. The United Nations declared the JuD a terrorist organization in 2008 and Hafiz Saeed a terrorist as its leader. Hafiz, JuD and LeT are wholly-owned subsidiaries of the Pak intel apparatus, so that amounted to squat...
, leader of the group blamed for deadly attacks on Mumbai in 2008, amid growing international pressure to act against hard boy groups.

Pakistain’s counter-terrorism department said it had launched 23 cases against Saeed and 12 aides for using five trusts to collect funds and donations for Lashkar-e-Taiba
...the Army of the Pure, an Ahl-e-Hadith terror organization founded by Hafiz Saeed. LeT masquerades behind the Jamaat-ud-Dawa facade within Pakistain and periodically blows things up and kills people in India. Despite the fact that it is banned, always an interesting concept in Pakistain, the organization remains an blatant tool and perhaps an arm of the ISI...
(LeT), blamed by India and the United States for the attacks in Mumbai that killed 166 people.

Two banned LeT-linked charities, Jamaat-ud-Dawa
...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba...
(JuD) and Falah-e-Insaniat Foundation (FIF), were also targeted, the department said in a statement.

"All the assets of these organizations and individuals will be frozen and taken over by the state," said a counter-terrorism bigwig, speaking on condition of anonymity
... for fear of being murdered...
because he was not authorized to speak publicly.

The counter-terrorism department said the action was in accordance with UN sanctions against the individuals and entities.

The move follows pressure from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF), which last year placed Pakistain on its "grey list" of countries with inadequate controls over money laundering and terrorism financing.

The international watchdog gave Pakistain an October deadline last month to improve its efforts against terrorism financing. The FATF has said Pakistain could end up on the black list when it reviews progress in a meeting later this year.

Hafiz Saeed, designated a global terrorist by both the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
and the United States, is one of the founders of LeT, or the Army of the Pure. The United States, which has pressured Pakistain to crack down on hard boy groups, has offered a $10 million reward for evidence leading to his conviction.

The LeT has been banned in Pakistain since 2002 and the charities since last year. Saeed, who denies involvement in violence or funding hard boys, has been sprung by Pak courts after being detained at his home several times in the past.

Israel says Hamas bomb-maker used medical permit to leave Gaza
[IsraelTimes] Fadi Abu al-Sabah recruited by terror group to go to West Bank and set up explosives lab, arrested by police and Shin Bet after going to Israeli city.

Israel recently arrested a Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", agent accused of traveling to the West Bank and then Israel under the guise of needing medical treatment in order to set up an explosives lab, the Shin Bet security agency said Wednesday.

Fadi Abu al-Sabah, 35, was recruited by Hamas in July of 2018 and trained by the terror group’s military wing for about a year. He was taught to create explosives and bombs with the aim of carrying out attacks against Israelis, the Shin Bet said.

According to a statement from the security service, al-Sabah was recruited by Hamas operative Ashraf Sabah, who was released from Israeli prison in 2015 after serving 12 years for kabooms against IDF troops in the Gazoo
...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response...
border.

Hamas became interested in al-Sabah, who has a prosthetic limb, because he was in the process of acquiring a humanitarian permit to receive medical treatment in the West Bank. However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
the Shin Bet also accused him and Hamas of having a doctor falsify documents to claim the treatment he sought was only available outside of Gaza in order to get the permit. The Shin Bet did not explain why the documents needed to be falsified or why al-Sabah had applied for the permit in the first place.

Before crossing to the West Bank via Israel last September, al-Sabah received a coat in which was hidden a list of code words for the purpose of communications between Hamas leaders and the planned West Bank cell. However,
by candlelight every wench is handsome...
he failed to bring it through for unspecified reasons.

In early May, he traveled to Hebron, where he joined up with other contacts, and on May 18 he entered Israel and traveled to the Israeli Arab town of Taybeh, where he was arrested by Shin Bet and Israeli police.

He has now been indicted at a military court in the West Bank, though the Shin Bet did not detail the charges.

Shin Bet sad it had in recent months thwarted several attempts by Hamas to establish infrastructure in the West Bank with the purpose of carrying out terror attacks in Israel. In March the Israeli military arrested a Hamas operative suspected of planning a suicide boom-mobileing to coincide with Israel’s national elections in April. And in June, the Shin Bet said it arrested a Jordanian national acting on behalf of Iranian intelligence to establish a spy network in Israel and the West Bank.

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syrian regime is targeting Turkish soldiers in Idlib
[Rudaw] Since the Syrian regime resumed attacks on its adversaries in the country’s northwestern Idlib province its forces have targeted Ottoman Turkish positions on at least seven occasions. Although The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor...
suffered relatively few casualties, the attacks were clearly deliberate. If they persist they could result in an escalation between the two rivals in the volatile province.

On June 27, shelling and mortar fire killed a Ottoman Turkish soldier and maimed three others in one of the Ottoman Turkish Army’s 12 observation posts in the province. Turkey retaliated by shelling regime positions.

Security stepped up at al-Hol camp after ISIS woman stabs guard
[Rudaw] Syrian Kurdish officials have stepped up security measures at the al-Hol camp in Hasaka, northeast Syria after a female Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS) prisoner stabbed a guard with a knife and escaped on Wednesday.

"Today, an ISIS woman in al-Hol camp had asked the camp administration to leave for shopping. She was allowed and was escorted out by a security member of the camp. But on the way, the ISIS woman stabbed the security member in the back," Sheikh Mus Ahmed, an official in charge of all camps in northern and eastern Syria, told Rudaw.

The camp official did not identify the attacker by name or nationality.

Stricter measures, including a curfew, have been imposed "disallowing exit from the camp from anyone until the woman is arrested," he added.

The Iranian Kurdish security officer, named as Izzadin Ahmed, survived the attack. A photograph published by Hawar, a news agency close to the Kurdish-led People's Protection Units (YPG), shows the guard being treated in a Hasaka hospital with the blade still protruding from his back.

Health authorities in Hasaka told Rudaw the guard will remain in the city’s hospital until tomorrow and is expected to recover.

The vastly overcrowded al-Hol camp shelters around 75,000 people, mainly those who fled Baghouz, the last ISIS holdout in eastern Syria. Among them are thousands of wives and children of ISIS fighters from Syria, Iraq, and western countries.

Many of these women have clung to the radical ideology of the jihadist group and have attacked their guards or burned down the tents of other women seen talking to men or for removing their veils, according to a recent BBC report.
