[The Hill] Former White House aide Omarosa Manigault Newman said Sunday that she secretly recorded chief of staff John Kelly in the White House Situation Room.
"This is a White House where everybody lies ... you have to have your back," Manigault Newman said on NBC's "Meet the Press" on why she recorded her conversation with Kelly as he was firing her.
"If I did not have this recording, people would still believe the false, incredible story that I was running around the White House ... that I tried to charge the residence of the White House. People would still think that I was trying to set off alarms," she continued. "So yes I recorded myself and I have no regret about it."
In the 20-second recording aired on NBC, Kelly can be heard saying that Manigault Newman can "go on without any type of difficulty" relative to her reputation "if we make this a friendly departure."
"I think it's important to understand that if we make this a friendly departure, we can all be, you know you can look at your time here in the White House as a year of service to the nation. And then you can go on without any type of difficulty in the future, relative to your reputation," he said.
Manigault Newman went on to say that Kelly's words were "very obviously a threat."
Many journalists and lawyers in the national security community were quick to point out that the recording should not have happened.
If she isn't up on charges lke, today, there's something very, very wrong.

Somebody is going to jail. Even the Demorats can tolerate this given their own crimes. Nothing would give them the screaming willies more than this kind of thing. But you can see how they handle it, see Seth Rich.

If the recording proves to be true it lends some credibility to her claim that Trump uses the word n***er in the White House (which would show he actually can control his mouth in public...), but she would then presumably go to jail for the security violation. And the Trump security team gets dinged for poor implementation of security. On the other hand, if it's false, then everything else she says is suspect. Two things for sure, 1) Trump makes bad hires, and 2) she's fired.

Last time I was in a SCIF, cell phones hadn't been invented. Ayou now allowed to take a cell phone into a SCIF?
Anyway, if she is charged, people will just say it's because Trump is a racist misogynist.

Glenmore, Trump was not there when the recording in the situation room was made. She claims to have heard a recording someone else made of him saying the N'word.
The reason you can't record in there assumes you would be recording standard security stuff that goes on and that stuff is not to be recorded. in this case the room was used as the nearest empty room to contain any outburts or embarrassment during the firing process.
I don't think a lawyer would have too hard a time fighting any charges related to recording in the room. Even if that lawyer lost it wouldn't be worth the time and effort and mudslinging and would only give the attention-seeker more attention.
They should however enforce any non-disclosures she signed as they relate to her book and or press tour.
[FOX] The co-chair of the Democratic National Committee, Rep. Keith Ellison, was accused of emotional and physical abuse by an ex-girlfriend who said: "You know you did that to me."
Ellison responded to the allegations Sunday, issuing a brief statement that said, "I never behaved in this way."
The allegations surfaced Saturday night from Karen Monahan after her son alleged in a Facebook post that he had seen text messages from Ellison threatening her and video of the congressman screaming obscenities at her as he dragged her off a bed by her feet, The Associated Press reported.

Discover who's on the official Left hierarchy of 'victims'. Women have been below Muslim for a while (thus the pass for behaviors towards women in Muslim dominated countries). This will pass from the Legacy Infotainment Enterprises quickly. Besides, its Minnesota, they don't seem to care about such behaviors among the 'community'.

Folks don't like political tricks and releasing this so close to the election smells like such a trick. Also his core fans probably applaud a bit of wife beating. Makes me wonder if Ellison didn't release the news himself.
[DailyWire] The Democratic National Committee in June quietly passed a resolution that banned fossil fuel companies from donating to the party. Now, just two months later, the DNC is reversing that decision, while claiming it's not a reversal.
The reversal, approved by a 30-2 vote, now says the DNC "support[s] fossil fuel workers" and will again accept donations from company political action committees, according to The Huffington Post. The new resolution was introduced by none other than DNC Chair Tom Perez.
The resolution states that "the inclusion of working people and their unions, representing all industries, is critical to the Democratic Party’s ability to affect change that improves the lives of workers, their families, and America’s middle class."
The resolution went on to restate the party's common line about Republicans "chipping away at workers’ rights, weakening unions, and depressing wages ‐ all while giving massive tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires." It also negatively mentioned the Supreme Court decision Janus v. AFSCME, which stopped public sector unions from being able to force non-union employees to pay dues. The DNC called the decision "disgraceful union busting."

Does that include me, or just those you think whose votes you can buy?
[Wash Times] STOWE, Vt. ‐ The governor of Vermont and the premier of Quebec are expected to sign a joint declaration to strengthen the cooperative ties between the state and province.
The signing takes place Sunday afternoon in Stowe ahead of the meeting of political leaders from the New England states and the premiers of the five eastern Canadian provinces in Stowe on Monday.
The agreement and meeting are happening as a bitter trade dispute simmers between Washington and Ottawa.
Republican Gov. Phil Scott’s office says the declaration builds upon an earlier cooperative agreement and advances collaboration in commerce, energy, environmental protection, transportation and tourism. Scott and Premier Phillipe Couillard are expected to sign the declaration at the summit of the Stowe Mountain Resort ski area.
