To be fair, he didn’t mention the membership of resident Al Qaeda-affiliated groups, those multiply-affiliated depending on the day of the week, or visitors sent for training in the jihadi arts.

This is a just as silly looking as separating the McDonalds franchises (Taliban and other Rent-A-Bandit mercenaries) from the McDonald corporation franchising office (AlQaeda/ISIS leadership cadre)... It may be true but it doesn't mean anything that a few incoming airline flights couldn't change.
[JPost] The conviction leaves the families of the victims and Israel partially unsatisfied because Hezbollah itself was not formally indicted or convicted.
Two Hezbollah operatives were sentenced in absentia to life in prison on Monday by a Bulgarian court for blowing up a bus in 2012 in Burgas, Bulgaria, killing five Israeli and their Bulgarian-Muslim bus driver.
They would be Lebanese-Australian Meliad Farah and Lebanese-Canadian Hassan El Hajj Hassan. The man who planted the bomb, Franco-Lebanese Mohamad Hassan El-Husseini, was killed when it exploded.
The sentence may bring to an end a terror saga which shook Europe to its foundations for its audacity, but leaves the families of the victims and Israel partially unsatisfied because Hezbollah itself was not formally indicted or convicted.
At a July 2019 anniversary ceremony for the victims, their families had demanded that Hezbollah itself be charged for terror in the Bulgarian trial.
In his speech, Kobi Price, one of the family members, noted that, "three years ago... four years after the attack, the criminal trial opened... In the indictment... only two attackers" were charged.
"We the mourning families ask the Government of Bulgaria to rise above narrow political considerations and to add the terror organization Hezbollah to the indictment without delay," said Price.
Price continued, "Without Hezbollah, there is no morality in the trial. Without Hezbollah, the trial is ineffective. Without Hezbollah, there is no justice for the murdered victims."
In January 2018, The Jerusalem Post exclusively disclosed that the Bulgarian state prosecution had decided not to charge Hezbollah as an organization with involvement in the 2012 bomb attack at the Burgas airport.
Instead, the prosecutor indicted the two men allegedly involved in the attack as if they were terrorists or even regular criminals who acted without connection to an organization. The word "Hezbollah" does not appear in the indictment.
[NY Post] New York City was among three cities labeled "anarchist jurisdictions" by the Justice Department on Sunday and targeted to lose federal money for failing to control protesters and defunding cops, The Post has learned.
Portland, Ore., and Seattle, Wash., were the other two cities on the list, which was approved by US Attorney General William Barr.
Clearly Attorney General Barr has been inspired by his boss’s habit of thinking so far outside the box that it can no longer be seen in the misty distance.
"When state and local leaders impede their own law-enforcement officers and agencies from doing their jobs, it endangers innocent citizens who deserve to be protected, including those who are trying to peacefully assemble and protest," Barr said in a statement set to be released Monday.
"We cannot allow federal tax dollars to be wasted when the safety of the citizenry hangs in the balance,'' the AG added.
"It is my hope that the cities identified by the Department of Justice today will reverse course and become serious about performing the basic function of government and start protecting their own citizens."
White House Budget Director Russ Vought is set to issue guidance to federal agencies on withdrawing funds from the cities in less than two weeks.
The list of cities eligible for defunding will be updated periodically, the feds have said.
It is not yet clear what funds are likely to be cut, but the amount of money siphoned from New York City could be massive, given the Big Apple gets about $7 billion in annual federal aid.
The "anarchist'' designations come after President Trump earlier this month issued a memo ordering financial retribution against cities that have been slashing their police budgets during crime waves, or tolerating violent protests sparked by the May killing of George Floyd by Minnesota police.
At the time, New York Gov. Cuomo infamously reacted by warning Trump he should watch his step in the state.
"He better have an army if he thinks he's gonna walk down the street in New York," the Democratic governor said. "He can't have enough bodyguards to walk through New York City, people don't want to have anything to do with him."
The Big Apple made the Justice Department's list in part because its City Council approved a budget in July that cut $1 billion from the NYPD's $6 billion annual budget ‐ even as murders and shootings in Gotham soared.
In July, the number of shootings in New York City skyrocketed 177 percent over the same period last year, and there was a 59 percent rise in murders. In August, city shootings soared 165 percent, while murders jumped about 50 percent.
The Justice Department said it also considered the fact that at least some of the city's district attorneys have declined to prosecute people arrested for disorderly conduct and unlawful assembly during recent protests.
Those would be the so-called Soros district attorneys we’ve been hearing so much about since the run up to the 2018 election.

I don't think the feds are allowed to defund DC this way, considering they have sole jurisdiction over it. DC, I believe, is directly funded by the federal government's budget.

Cuomo doesn't seem to understand that Trump has no need to visit New York City. Trump has nothing to lose there and everything to gain, like $7 billion. As for campaigning, Wilhelm and Cuomo are doing that for him. If they keep going the way they are, Trump could end up winning New York and all of its electoral college votes.

We keep hearing the left say 'burn it down.' So I think it's fair to let them burn their own stuff while protecting ours.
Haven't heard much from Minneapolis since. The Guard should have been deployed as soon as rioting began over 3 months ago, an example set and all the destruction in the other cites avoided.

[Jpost] Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said on Saturday that the US "expects all UN Member States to comply" with snapback sanctions on the Islamic Theocratic Republic.
The US announced on Saturday night that UN sanctions are being reimposed on Iran. The snapback of sanctions was triggered 30 days ago, following the Security Council’s vote not to extend the arms embargo on the Islamic Theocratic Republic. It was not immediately clear if other members of the Security Council would comply with the new sanctions.Russia and China opposed the American move to extend the arms embargo, and the UK, La Belle France and Germany raised objections as well. The sanctions were suspended following the 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran.
"The Trump Administration has always understood that the greatest threat to peace in the Middle East comes from the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran, whose violent mostly peaceful efforts to spread revolution have killed thousands and upended the lives of millions of innocent people," Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced on Saturday night.

Re: the water shortage problem in the central and southern regions of Iran. The desalination method utilizes a simple solar still or a combination of a solar still and a solar collector. With an interest rate of 4%, the results reveal that production of fresh water in a solar desalination farm comprised of solar still units is an economically favorable scenario for Bandar-e Jask with a cost of 2.25 $/m3.
