Paktika police spokesman Shah Mohammad Arian: In the clash, 65 Taliban fighters were killed and 35 others were wounded
The violence came a day after the Taliban said they had killed 28 Afghan paramilitary policemen in Uruzgan in southern Afghanistan
The latest bloodshed came late Wednesday after the Taliban stormed a military headquarters building in the Wazi Khwa district of Paktika province.
“The fighting lasted several hours and in a retaliatory attack by the Afghan forces, the Taliban suffered heavy casualties,” Paktika police spokesman Shah Mohammad Arian told AFP.
“In the clash, 65 Taliban fighters were killed and 35 others were wounded. Unfortunately, three police forces were martyred and six others wounded.”

[LIBYAREVIEW] On Monday, the Spokesman for the Libyan National Army (LNA), Major General Ahmed al-Mismari announced the killing of an ’emir’ of the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... (IS) in southern Libya. He said that the IS leader was killed during an ambush operation, by LNA forces in the Abd al-Kafi neighbourhood of Sebha, on 14 September. al-Mismari had previously announced that the man was believed to be the leader of IS in Libya, known as Abu Abdullah al-Libi.
After the investigation was completed, and another IS operative was arrested in the Ghadwa area, al-Mismari confirmed the killed assailant was Abu Moaz al-Iraqi, also known as Abu Abdullah al-Iraqi. He is thought to be the leader of IS in North Africa,
Whoa — impressive!
the LNA front man said. al-Mismari pointed out that al-Iraqi entered Libya on 12 September 2014, alongside Abdulaziz Al-Anbari, with forged Libyan passports through The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund... At the time, al-Anbari was an emir of IS in Libya. Abu Abdullah was assigned as an assistant to him by ISIS leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. al-Iraqi became the leader of the terrorist organization, after the LNA killed al-Anbari in the eastern city of Derna in 2015. The investigation revealed his identity as Abdullah al-Rabai, an Iraqi Kurd. al-Mismari explained that the Emir of IS in Libya, was killed in a 7-hour battle with LNA forces.

[France24] French prosecutors have opened a terrorism investigation after two people were wounded in a knife attack in Paris on Friday near the former offices of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo. The suspected perpetrator, as well as six other men, have been taken into custody.
Two victims were seriously injured, the Paris police department said. The main suspect was caught and taken into custody almost immediately after the attack, along with another man whose links to the suspected perpetrator is currently being investigated. Later Friday, police also detained five other men who were apprehended as officers searched a home in the Paris suburbs believed to belong to the main suspect.
France’s counterterrorism prosecutor said authorities suspect a terrorist motive because of the place and timing of the stabbings: in front of the building where Charlie Hebdo was based until the Islamic extremist attack on its cartoonists and at a time when suspects in the 2015 attack are on trial across town.
Prosecutor Jean-François Ricard said that the chief suspect in Friday’s stabbings was arrested, along with another person. Ricard said the assailant did not know the people who were stabbed, two workers in a documentary production company who had stepped outside for a cigarette break.
The suspects’ identities have not been released, and it is unclear exactly what prompted the attack. An investigation was opened into “attempted murder in relation with a terrorist enterprise”, according to an official at the terrorism prosecutor’s office.
‘LOOKS IMPROVISED’
Citing corroborative sources close to the investigation, FRANCE 24’s terror expert Wassim Nasr said that the main suspect has confessed to the attack and is an 18-year-old man of Pakistani origin. He is not believed to have been known to police previously.
“We don’t know much about him because up to this point, no [terror] organisation has claimed the attack,” said Nasr.
Nasr said the second suspect, who is being probed for his links to the Pakistani man and who several news outlets have identified as an Algerian national, is expected to be released shortly.
Another five men, born between 1983 and 1996, were seized in the Paris suburb of Pantin on Friday evening as police searched what they believe is the main suspect’s home.
Nasr said the attack indeed seemed symbolic and that it may have been triggered by Charlie Hebdo’s decision in September to republish the controversial cartoons, including of Prophet Mohammed, that led to the deadly attack at the weekly´s offices in 2015. Many Muslims consider is blasphemous to depict the prophet.
“Not only did al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula issue statements calling for [new] attacks (…) but many voices in the Muslim world spoke out against the republication of those cartoons,” he said.
No terror organisation has yet claimed the attack, and according to Nasr, several details point to it being improvised and having been organised only by the main suspect.
“Look at the details of this attack: it was carried out with a butcher´s knife, it doesn’t look like the attacks that were prepared by al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula and perpetrated by the Karachi brothers back in 2015.”
A man and a woman were seriously wounded with a meat cleaver in Paris today
The attack took place near the site of the 2015 Charlie Hebdo terror rampage
Two men have been arrested including an 18-year-old Pakistani 'main attacker' called Ali, who is known to the police, while the second man was described as a 33-year-old Algerian
Ali, who had arrived in France as a minor claiming political asylum
Suspected accomplices in Charlie Hebdo attack are currently on trial in Paris
Terror police have taken up the case because of location and timing during trial
Police have arrested two men - a 'main perpetrator' and another suspect - after one was spotted with blood dripping from his clothes near the Opera Bastille and another was stopped at a Metro station.
Jihadis or just criminals? 24 hour rule
[San Diego U-T] Four people were wounded in a knife attack Friday near the former offices of satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in Paris, and two assailants are on the run, police said.
Associated Press reporters at the scene saw police flooding into the neighborhood in eastern Paris, near the Richard Lenoir subway station.
Police are "actively hunting" for the perpetrators and have cordoned off the area including the former Charlie Hebdo offices after a suspect package was noticed nearby, according to a police offical. Suspect package and stabbings linked?
The motive for the attack is unclear, and it is not clear whether it is linked to Charlie Hebdo, which moved its activities out of the area after Islamic extremists attacked its editorial offices in 2015, killing 12 people.

Funny how French people getting stabbed to death by Islamics barely makes the news anymore. It used to be major headline material on Drudge.
[ZH] The driver of a white Toyota Prius who had carefully weaved through a BLM protest was heckled, chased down by a black pick-up truck leading the protests, and then assaulted on Thursday night. The driver was then arrested.
"It wasn’t traveling at a fast speed — it was inching forward, trying to get past, and that upset people," said photojournalist Christian Monterrosa.
People in the crowd began striking the car’s windows and doors, the news footage shows. After the Prius cleared the crowd, a black pickup truck with several people sitting in the bed gave chase, accelerated ahead of the Prius and pulled to an abrupt halt. A man got out of the truck and, according to the footage, appeared to try to pull the driver out of the Prius.
The Prius reversed and collided with a green Mustang convertible, which was associated with the protest, according to the LAPD. A person got out of the convertible and began striking the Prius with a flagpole, the footage shows, and another person arrived on a skateboard, which he used to smash the Prius’ windshield. The motorist drove off but was detained a few blocks away by the LAPD. No one was injured in the incident, according to police. -Los Angeles Times

You want anarchy, you just might get it. Can't trust the police, and you certainly can't trust the politicians (from whom the police take their orders/guidance). So, people have to take matters into their own hands. But that's the trick (to the glee of the politicians). Taking matters into one's own hands shows the politicians the "lawlessness" perpetrated by those deemed as "the enemy" by the mayor's office, the governor's office, or by whomever. A vicious cycle that may not end well.
#2
Well, what would you do as the police? The rioters won't attack if they see the police stopped him. They have to get a statement. It should work out in the guy's favor I would think.
#3
And the guy didn't try to settle the whole thing on the spot like some other demographics might given that the arresting officers might or might not know the whole story.
Seems like the reporter may be trying to sow more discord among those who don't slow down to think about what may be going on.

Looks to me like detained for their own protection. Likely the Prius was unsafe to drive.
This article confirms the stories about chasers going after escapees.
I had heard of chasing to harass, cause and accident, follow home, and/or get license plate for doxxing.
First I'd heard of getting boxed.
I know we're talking Prius vs. Truck large enough to have passengers in the bed, these people have decided they are out to hurt you - perhaps a little bump to the back on or behind the tire as it passes. Bonus points for doing so while the truck is coming about into your lane.
The problem begins when the driver doesn't commit to GTFO, the hesitation after clearing the crowd to go Full Escape allows the chasers to catch up.
They have to chase you. The bikes will catch you. Nobody is coming to save you.
I get it, it looked a bit heavy after the police get involved, but they don't know the driver from a Fraggle, and even good people will be a bit hyped up.
I'd secure the scene the same way.
If they police had not got involved, the motorcycle would have harassed and tailed until more vehicles could get involved. I would put money down that Blamtifa had vehicles designated to catch squirters for lack of a better word, and I don't mean that as a disparaging word but as a synonym for survivor.

Police Chiefs are political appointees and, therefore, tend to fluff their betters. Too many throne sniffers who cannot be trusted to support their personnel or charges.
Sheriffs are horses of a different color - they are elected officials who answer to the voters.
[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] Two men have been arrested on accusations of plotting a 'Netflix-worthy' terrorist attack on New York City.
Jaylyn Christopher Molina, of San Antonio, Texas, and Kristopher Sean Matthews, 34, from Eglin, South Carolina, were arrested on Monday - Molina in Texas, Matthews in Tennessee.
The FBI intercepted their communications, according to court documents obtained by KSAT, which showed them planning an attack in the name of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
Matthews allegedly suggested it would be better to attack government centers rather than places like 'malls where innocent children are'.
He suggested targeting Trump Tower and the New York Stock Exchange - hoping the sites would give the pair 'rock star status, baby'.
He said he thought a series attacks across the U.S. 'could be Netflix worthy.'
The two men also allegedly discussed the possibility of traveling overseas to join ISIS.
Molina refers to himself as 'Abdur Rahim', according to the criminal complaint, while Matthews calls himself 'Ali Jibreel'.
Both men faces a charge of conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization, Fox News reported.
Matthews is believed to be the originator of the plot, having last year used an encrypted chat service to find an ISIS supporter outside the U.S. who would help him travel to Syria and recruit additional ISIS supporters.
In April Molina joined the chat, and began communicating with Matthews, soon posting a manual on how to train with an AK-47.

Surrounding individual automobiles with random occupants with loud demands is not protesting and neither are they protesters. It is an angry mob and they should expect to be treated that way. Thus far I'd say the only shocking dimension is the restraint American motorists have shown.

Many years ago I told my university to stop contacting me about alumni stuff. One phone call from them was quite fortuitous. They wanted money all the while they were building an arena/pavilion and using eminent domain to drum out local businesses to build. Spoiler alert: this arena is a white elephant now. They never did nor ever will get one thin dime from me. And I can't imagine nowadays the BLM blather spewed in their alumni association rags.
Seattle: Antifa rioters assault a cop who was knocked to the ground from his bicycle. A person then uses a metal bat to strike him on the head. This is in the middle of the former “CHAZ.” #SeattleRiots#antifa#BLMpic.twitter.com/34cTbUoE9U

The officer showed more restraint than the situation demanded. If he did act and shot someone who deserved it, the left-wing street thugs would have him lynched in the MSM. The bought DAs in these areas would charge him.
#4
The attack with the bat was as clear a case of attempted murder of a police officer as one could ever see. Had the bat struck just below the helmet that would have been a lifetime as a paraplegic. Get that bastard !

Guy was tail end charlie of a convoy escaping an envelopment and got dismounted, possible a cone thrown under him and/or kicked into that yellow pole structure.
Ninja smoke and GTFO. Even saved the bike.
NoMoreBS, I think they would have just left him there to die. The convoy seemed unaware Charlie got separated and would have been outside Blamtifa's perimeter, they were too few in number to perform a rescue even if Charlie could be located.
Shoot, as amped up as the ambush group was, Charlie could have been stripped for trophies.
Consider Mendoza's intent, Charlie is lucky to get out of there with only a headache.
maybe Ammo Sites and Dealers could mimic what retailers are doing to us for the coin shortage.

Correction: He moves the bike over the man laying on the ground, not ride it. The incident is being investigated for potential misconduct following an uproar by anti-police activists.
Update: The officer who walked his bike over a rioter laying in street has been placed on administrative leave. The Office of Police Accountability has referred the incident to the King County Sheriff’s Office for a potential criminal investigation. https://t.co/tBXfy5yRMa

From a law enforcement contact who wishes to remain unnamed:
.....she was more then an associate, she managed the books of an illegal drug operation. You know how the old saying goes, you play with fire you will get burned, she played and latterly got burned.
no innocent person here except the police! read the facts. she assisted with his drug deals and money. should have answered the door and let them in. her fault... A little background information on Breanna is as follows: She was an EMT who was fired for stealing drugs and selling them through Boyfriend. She knew exactly what she was doing!!!!!
Excuse me….but her boyfriend shot first. She was the direct contact for another criminal and had bailed him out numerous times. She may have been innocent the night she died but overall…No! The police should not be criminalized for doing their job.
The cops fired back, in defense, and the “innocent” woman was caught in the crossfire. SHE put herself in that situation. SHE is not innocent. She was complicate in drug dealing or, at the very least, being with and associating with someone who was dealing drugs. She lost her innocence the moment she entered that home, NOT when the cops came.
Yes, it is horrible that she died, but she put herself in that situation.
Why is it that no one takes responsibility for their actions anymore? Are you saying anyone can do anything they want and no matter the outcome, they have no responsibility?
You are playing one side of the issue and feigning ignorance and you know, damn well, she is not “innocent”, by any stretch of the imagination.

Remember the observations a few weeks ago by a trained Army veteran regarding observing tradecraft being used to develop Order of Battle (OB) command and organizational structures during Portland riots. I think he used the screen name NCScout and noted clandestine tech like IR markers and GPS locators being used by an unknown third party. Now this citing the USMS and DHS, cutting out a penetrated FBI, and suggesting tradecraft skills worth of the Agency or the FBI SSG. Add the report of intercepts of comm systems and a reported declaration of Antifa as a terrorist organization and you can imagine the sphincter spasms across a wide range of MSM and lefty politicians today. Also, the fence sitters inside the FBI seem to be waivering and perhaps beginning to leak insurance strategies to help a Trumpian wing of the deep state.
#8
As you may have noticed, the bureau has been having very mixed results with domestic (US Person) surveillance. They may have decided to....farm this one out.

I don't understand why they are being so thorough. All they need to do is a arrest a bunch of them and charge them with felonies and high fines and that will be the end of it. Letting it go on a long time like they are will just make it harder to root out later.
#10
Consider the time delay as a dangle trap, possibility to hook OCONUS players firmly. The money from overseas is in part coming from the same people who are up the connectivity matrix on the OB diagram I suspect.

The attempted DeepState coup was a revolution from above-- Brennan, Corey, Weissman with help from a few senior-level officials such as Strzok, Yates, et al.
But it now appears that there was and is a large cohort of lower and mid-level DS cadres who may well be pro-OrangeM.
And an equally large # may be sufficiently risk-averse that they're willing to join the Orangemen (note the recent reports of the taking out personal liability insurance policies in late 2016/early 2017).
So while the threat remains, it could be that the tide has shifted inside the FBI. One can hope.

[ALMASDARNEWS] The Ottoman Turkish-backed Lions of Islam in the al-Hasakah countryside have been busy these last 24 hours, as they have launched attacks against one another, and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Syrian Democratic Forces. The bully boy factions, which are part of a Ottoman Turkish-backed "Syrian National Army", launched attacks on their own positions last night, when infighting broke out among the groups near the city of Ras al-’Ain.
On Thursday morning, the Ottoman Turkish-backed forces shifted their attention to the Abu Rasin region of al-Hasakah, where they launched heavy artillery on the defenses of the Syrian Army and Syrian Democratic Forces.
The attacks would continue into the afternoon, as the Ottoman Turkish-backed forces targeted not only Abu Rasin, but also, the Tal Tamr countryside, which both the Syrian Democratic Forces and Syrian Arab Army share joint control of.
Neither the Syrian Army nor the Syrian Democratic Forces responded to the ceasefire violation from the Ottoman Turkish-backed bully boys.
