FYI - third time in the past two months they've found a body in the lake. If you're a fan of the Dick Wolf TV series Law and Order (like I am), this is the beginning of like every 10th episode.
[10 News] Of course they make it all about race. This POS should have been put down long ago. Say hi to Satan
TERRE HAUTE (Ay Peee) — The U.S. government has put the first Black inmate to death since the Trump administration this year resumed federal executions after a nearly two-decade pause.
Christopher Vialva, 40, was pronounced dead shortly before 7 p.m. EDT Thursday.
He was convicted and sentenced to death in the slaying of a religious couple visiting Texas from Iowa when Vialva was 19.
Vialva was the seventh federal execution since July and the second this week. Five of the first six were white, a move critics argue was a political calculation to avoid uproar. The sixth was Navajo. Or - they were all filth and human excrement
Vialva's lawyer, Susan Otto, has said race played a role in landing her client on death row in the 1999 killings of Todd and Stacie Bagley, who were white. Notice Black is capitalized and white isn't? Thanks Ay-Pee stylebook
A U.S. Department of Justice spokesperson issued the following statement on the execution:
Today, Christopher Andre Vialva was executed at U.S. Penitentiary Terre Haute in accordance with the capital sentences recommended by a federal jury and imposed by the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas in 2000. Vialva was pronounced dead at 6:46 p.m. EDT.
In June 1999, Todd and Stacie Bagley — youth ministers from Iowa who had traveled to Texas to attend a church revival — agreed to give a ride to Vialva and several others. Once in the car, Vialva pointed a gun at Todd, and he and the others forced the couple into the trunk. Vialva drove around for several hours, stopping at ATMs to withdraw money from the couple’s bank account and trying to pawn Stacie’s wedding ring. While locked in the trunk, the couple spoke with their abductors about God and pleaded for their lives. Vialva eventually parked on the Fort Hood military reservation, where the co-conspirators doused the car with lighter fluid as the couple, still locked in the trunk, sang and prayed. After Stacie said, "Jesus loves you," and "Jesus, take care of us," Vialva shot both Todd and Stacie in the head — killing Todd and knocking Stacie unconscious. A co-conspirator then lit the car on fire, killing Stacie. A federal jury found Vialva guilty of, among other offenses, two counts of murder within the special maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States and unanimously recommended two death sentences, which the court imposed. His convictions and sentences were affirmed on appeal, and his requests for collateral relief were rejected by every court that considered them.
More than two decades after Christopher Andre Vialva brutally ended the lives of Todd and Stacie Bagley, justice has been served. Several family members and loved ones of the Bagleys witnessed today’s execution.

While I would be the 1st to demand ALL the "i's" be dotted and "t's" be crossed when carrying out a death sentence.
There is no legal reason the whole Court Appeal process should take 21 years?
Surely court docket scheduling and reviews can be accomplish inside 5 years. Thus eliminating Lawyers that are constantly playing the appeal system for 20+ years.
Justice is NOT Justice, if the murderer dies of old age in jail. While getting better Medical care, HVAC housing, meals and snacks and Cable TV than 20% of the US Population. Or the Victims family members are all dead waiting.
Also we need to do away with Nap Time death sentences and bring back Public (live video) Hangings or Firing squads.
Especially with the upcoming Post Election Rebellion the Socialist-Democrats have planned.

Except the ruling caste that dominates the judiciary hates the death penalty and does everything in the book to obstruct justice. Of course they ignore the wide spread application of the death penalty in our streets, business, homes, schools. You're suckers. You believe in real justice, not social virtue signalling.
No person shall ... be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law.
Any rational person who reads that portion of the Bill of Rights understands that with due process you may be deprived of life.

I saw a picture of the guy. He was wearing a Muslim prayer cap and a Jewish prayer shawl. I dunno whether he was wearing a cross. Looks like he was trying to cover all the bases.

The 47-year-old man vanished from a boat on Monday that was carrying 18 other South Korean officials who were investigating potential illegal fishing near the water border between the two rival nations, the Associated Press reported.
North Korean officials, wearing gas masks, found him in their waters floating on a small object on Tuesday and alerted the navy, the AP reported, citing a statement from Seoul.
North Korean sailors then approached him from a boat and shot him to death, according to the statement, which cited surveillance intelligence.
The sailors put on gas masks and other protective equipment, then doused the man's body with gasoline and set him on fire, according to the report.
A South Korean defense official told the AP that the sailors may have killed the man in accordance with their strict coronavirus measures, which require them to shoot anyone trying to illegally cross their border.
The official added that little is known about the man, but they believe he may have tried to defect to the totalitarian state.
North Korea has claimed it hasn't had a single coronavirus case since the pandemic began.

[The Connexion] An eco-friendly proposal that suggests taxing vehicles according to how much they weigh has been rubbished by the president of a French automobile association.
The suggested tax was proposed by the Convention Citoyenne sur le Climat (the Citizens’ Climate Convention) in June, 2020 as an ecological measure, and is among the proposals being considered by the government.
One month earlier, in May 2020, the French government announced plans to support the automobile sector following the Covid-19 health crisis. These included an aid package of €8 billion for the French car industry and widespread financial aid to help individuals in France buy electric and hybrid cars.
Now, Luc Chatel, president of automobile association la Plateforme de la Filière Automobile (PFA) has said the two policies contradict one another, and has called for "stability in decisions" made by the government.
Eco-cars and vehicles made in France to be affected
Mr Chatel was speaking on Good Morning Business on the BFM Business channel this morning (September 18).
He said: "We cannot, three months after [the government announced its support plan], put in place a tax that will go against what we’ve been told."
He went on to criticise the "absurdity" of an eco-tax that will have a significant impact on electric and hybrid cars, which often have heavy batteries.
Mr Chatel also highlighted what he saw as the government’s contradictory policies, saying: "The cars will benefit from a bonus for reduced CO2 emissions and a penalty [for their weight] at the same time. It’s ridiculous."....
Mr Chatel added that the suggested penalty would also tax 70% of vehicles made in France, when the government had previously said it was committed to supporting domestic production of vehicles.
Measure not yet approved by government
The plan to tax vehicles according to their weight has not yet been approved by the government although President Macron has said he will consider nearly all the eco-friendly proposals put forward by the Citizens’ Climate Convention.
Meanwhile, minister for the economy and finance, Bruno le Maire, has also promised that new, higher taxes will not be imposed on businesses or individuals in the wake of the Covid-19 crisis.
As well as taxing vehicles according to their weight, the 150 measures proposed by the citizens’ Climate Convention include changing the French constitution to highlight the importance of environmental protection, and introducing a new environmental crime called "ecocide".
[Gazeta Express (Kosovo)] It all started as an idea to relax negotiations between Kosovo and Serbia delegations, but the idea to name the Gazivoda/Ujman Lake "Lake Trump" as seen in the photo seems more serious than initially thought.
An idea that started as a joke for the Ujman Lake, which Serbs refer to as Gazivoda, to find a compromise name seems to be taking shape. During the negotiations at the White House, the US Presidential envoy for the dialogue, Richard Grenell, gave the idea to name the lake after Trump.
Initially everybody laughed with the idea. But not today. Gazeta Express has learned that Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti expressed his readiness to support Grenell’s idea at a meeting with him. The same idea was endorsed also by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic at another meeting.
The debate, and later the Agreement, about Ujman Lake have triggered a wave of reactions in Kosovo. Kosovo has reached an agreement with the US for the State Department to carry out a feasibility study on how to share the lake’s resources.
The Ujman/Gazivoda Lake is mostly located in Kosovo’s territory but almost 20 percent of it is part of Serbia’s territory. This artificial lake was accumulated decades ago by the "Iber Lepenci" company, back when Kosovo was part of Yugoslavia. After the end of the war in 1999, there was a lot of tension caused about the lake as Kosovo considers it as its own property, while Serbia claims its ownership since part of it is in Serbia.
As politicians are dealing with this topic on the theoretical side, someone has not remained cross-handed. As seen in the photo, this lake and the bridge located in Bernjake, northern Kosovo, have been named after US President. One thing is unclear: Trump’s’ reaction when he sees this. /GazetaExpress/ Good idea, to name lakes after Nobel Prize winners.
