2 Helicopters Crash in Helmand, 9 Killed: MoD
[ToloNews] At least nine people were killed when two Afghan National Army (ANA) MI-17 helicopters "crashed due to technical issues" in Nawa district of Helmand early on Wednesday morning, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said.
The MoD stated that the incident happened at 1:15am local time and is being investigated.
Previously, security sources said that between eight to 15 people were killed after two helicopters collided in Nawa.
The incident happened after the helicopters had dropped commandos off and were carrying wounded security forces, the sources said.
Omar Zwak, a spokesman for the provincial governor, confirmed there was an incident in Nawa district but has not provided details.
Clashes have been ongoing over the past four days in several part of Lashkargah, the capital of Helmand, and Nadi Ali district after the Taliban attacked the city and the district on Sunday.
On Monday night, Afghan commandos with air support launched an operation in Lashkargah, local officials said on Tuesday.
The operation is still ongoing and involves the 601 highway, Nad Ali district and the Babaji area in PD4 of Lashkargah, officials said on Tuesday. “So far 23 Taliban have been killed and the security forces have created five new checkpoints in Nad Ali district following the Taliban attack three days earlier.

[KhaamaPress] The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) says the ongoing fighting in Helmand province over the past four days has left 35,000 people homeless.

Clashes in Lashkargah Continue on 5th Day of Helmand Fighting
[ToloNews] Clashes between government forces and the Taliban in Lashkargah and surrounding areas have entered their fifth day. In the latest development, at least nine people were killed when two Afghan National Army (ANA) MI-17 helicopters "crashed due to technical issues" in Nawa district of Helmand early on Wednesday morning, the Ministry of Defense (MoD) said.
Amid deteriorating security, Afghan acting Minister of Defense Assadullah Khalild on Wednesday visited Lashkargah where he pledged to improve the security situation.
Clashes have been ongoing in several parts of Lashkargah, the capital of Helmand, and Nadi Ali district. The Taliban began their attacks on the city and other districts on the weekend.
On Monday night, Afghan commandos with air support launched an operation in Lashkargah, according to local officials.
Over the past few days, the Taliban managed to take over several checkpoints in PD4 of Lashkargah city and in some areas of Nawa and Nad-e-Ali.
“You can see that Helmand youth are struggling shoulder-to-shoulder alongside their security forces to crush the enemies of the motherland. They are the youth of Helmand and the country,” said General Nazar, a commander of the Afghan National Army (ANA)
Meanwhile, local sources in Helmand have said that a local force (Sangorian) which operates within the government defense structure was responsible for security along parts of the Helmand-Kandahar highway and the Lashkargah security belt, and"these forces evacuated their check posts without any resistance."
Sources said that the evacuation paved the way for the Taliban to infiltrate the Kandahar-Helmand highway and the city outskirts.
There are 2,000 fighters serving in the Sangorian force. They only operate in Helmand province.
“We are familiar with all tactics of the Taliban, we also operate in their uniform and fight against them,” said Samiullah, a member of the Sangorian force.
“We have the same uniform as (the Taliban) have, they do not recognize us, we even ate food once with them, they didn’t recognize us, but we left the scene after killing our targets,” said Sediqullah, a member of the Sangorian force.
“It has been created by the NDS. In many cases, they have been proved very useful, but the collapse of some checkpoints recently came due to lack of weapons,” said Attaullah Afghan, the head of Helmand provincial council.
“The Sangorians don't have the capacity to hold their ground,” said Senator Hashem Alokozay.
Footage shared on social media show some of the Sangorian forces surrendering to the Taliban.
“If a checkpoint is overrun without resistance, it means they have surrendered to the enemy,” said Atiqullah Amarkhel, a military expert in Kabul.
It is said that the Sangorian military forces are supported by the National Directorate of Security (NDS), Afghanistan's intelligence agency.
Initially, there were 100 soldiers serving in the force, but the Helmand governor has said the group was later deployed to take responsibility for the security of Lashkargah after they proved their strength.
Two Americans held hostage by Iran-backed Houthi militants in Yemen were freed on Wednesday as part of a U.S.-backed trade that returned more than 200 of the group’s loyalists to the fractured Middle East country, according to U.S. and Saudi officials, Wall Street Journal reported.
A Royal Oman Air Force plane carrying the two Americans and the remains of a third flew out of Yemen’s Houthi-controlled capital of Sana’a, hours after the jet and a companion flight brought the militants back to the country following years stuck in Oman.
The deal secured freedom for Sandra Loli, an American humanitarian worker who was held hostage by the Houthis for about a year, and Mikael Gidada, a U.S. businessman who was held for more than a year, said Kash Patel, a deputy assistant to President Trump who worked on the deal.

In short they're going to continue using Turkey as a club to beat NATO with until they're done doing so, and then fuck them over, and because Erdogan is a vicious little rabid retard he's going to continue doing this even with Lavrov saying stuff like this in public.
And the people who bitch about Trump allegedly being a Russian asset are going to sit their with a mouthful of shit and say nothing about this. As they have everything else from the OPM database, armies of brownshirts on US soil, the attempted Egyptian putsch by the Brotherhood, etc...

I think the SNA is a Somali group recruited by Turkey
My guess is that Hamza are arab speakers and Sultan Murad are Turkish speakers fighting as mercenaries for the Azers.

Name searches added. I believe the SNA is the grandly named Syrian National Army, the paramilitaries organized in Syria by Turkey made up of Turkic jihadis from Syria and the Caucuses plus former ISIS fighters willing to accept a new paymaster.
.@razminfo cites Turkish govt reporting that in Aug-Sept 2020, Turkey transferred $113 million worth of defense aviation technology to Azerbaijan (possibly ~2 dozen TB2 drones), unclear if drone pilots are loaned gratis or as mercenaries as well. https://t.co/oj8Y3NXxLJ

[OREGONLIVE] Portland’s mayor and police chief Monday vowed to pursue and punish protesters who broke windows and threw flares into the Oregon Historical Society, toppled statues of two celebrated U.S. presidents and fired gunshots into a restaurant during a downtown riot the previous night.
But the culprits may prove difficult to identify let alone capture.
After months of demonstrations punctuated by violent mostly peacefulfestivities or vandalism, many of the city’s most krazed killer protesters remain largely elusive or unknown.
Calls to action by often anonymous organizers spread rapidly among left-wing activists on social media and can come together in a matter of hours.
Some participants will then take steps to shield their identities during marches or demonstrations that — while leaderless in appearance — can have a specific goal and the tools to carry it out.
Such dynamics were on vivid display Sunday night, escalating destructive tactics that had waned in recent weeks.
Protest organizers using the Twitter account Generational Resistance® started promoting an "Indigenous Peoples Day of Rage" only the day before.
The event generated an immediate interest in activist circles that have demanded an end to systemic racism and police brutality since the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police.
Generational Resistance®, which calls itself "a BIPOC affinity group" and has just under 2,800 followers, laid out a loose outline for the evening.
There would be an undisclosed "direct action" involved. Participants should dress in black and "cover up." Photographs, video or livestreams would be prohibited.
Portland protesters topple statues of Theodore Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln in ’Day of Rage’; police declare riot
The group also smashed windows at the Oregon Historical Society and several downtown storefronts before police moved in.
Members of Generational Resistance® could not be reached for comment through their Twitter account, though the group released a statement Monday night.
"We stand to decolonize ourselves and decolonize society by working to abolish colonial systems rooted in racism and build community rooted in liberation," the statement said.
Members also called for the abolition of police, prisons and capitalism, the return of land to Indigenous communities, and said they supported reparations for Black people and their descendants.
More than 200 people braved a steady downpour and gathered beneath the western span of the Burnside Bridge, the protest starting point, by about 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Most of the participants dressed head-to-toe in black and wore face coverings. Several milled about and handed out shields, body armor and helmets to those who wanted them.
A group of Native organizers, some whom were not masked, burned sage and asked the crowd to line up behind a banner that read, "This is Indigenous Day. We want our land back."
The crowd then began a 20-block march through downtown Portland to the city’s South Park Blocks, delivering call-and-response chants and singing Indigenous songs.

[IsraelTimes] Armed Islamic Jihad ...created after many members of the Egyptian Moslem Brotherhood decided the organization was becoming too moderate. Operations were conducted out of Egypt until 1981 when the group was exiled after the assassination of President Anwar Sadat. They worked out of Gaza until they were exiled to Lebanon in 1987, where they clove tightly to Hezbollah. In 1989 they moved to Damascus, where they remain a subsidiary of Hezbollah... members burst into a Khan Younis mosque in Gazoo ...Hellhole adjunct to Israel and Egypt's Sinai Peninsula, inhabited by Gazooks. The place was acquired in the wake of the 1967 War and then presented to Paleostinian control in 2006 by Ariel Sharon, who had entered his dotage. It is currently ruled with an iron fist by Hamaswith about the living conditions you'd expect. It periodically attacks the Hated Zionist Entity whenever Iran needs a ruckus created or the hard boyz get bored, getting thumped by the IDF in return. The ruling turbans then wave the bloody shirt and holler loudly about oppression and disproportionate response... at dawn on Wednesday and kidnapped three young men praying there, according to local reports.
In a statement, the Gaza division of the Islamist terror group called it "a saddening event," and promised to conduct an internal investigation, without explicitly stating whether its members were responsible.
The Hamas, a contraction of the Arabic words for "frothing at the mouth", Interior Ministry says it is also investigating the incident, saying that "no one is above the law."
Hamas has ruled the Gaza Strip since 2007, when it formally expelled the Fatah party, its main political rival, to the West Bank.
Islamic Jihad has remained in Gaza and enjoys a degree of autonomy from the other terror group’s rule due to the strength of its militias.

[SYRIAHR] Syrian Observatory sources have confirmed that members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham, formerly al-Nusra, before that it was called something else ...al-Qaeda's Syrian affiliate, from which sprang the Islamic State... opened machinegun fire on several civilians who were on their way to forests to cut and process logs. The gunfire resulted in the death of a civilian and injury of another.
It is worth noting that jihadi factions are working on enslaving civilians, expelling them from bushes, cutting down trees and opening fire on their cycle of violences used for transporting logs. On some occasions, civilians were imprisoned and tortured by the jihadists.
Members of Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham stationed on the roads of the western countryside of Jisr al-Shughur, are preventing people from reaching the forests which are monopolized by HTS and jihadi groups. HTS also imposes levies on wood centres and workshops by forcing them to get their licenses from the "Salvation Government".
Meanwhile, ...back at the comedy club, Boogie sadly admitted that he was a better peeping Tom than he was a comedian... the Turkistanis are stationed on the roads to bushes near Latakia countryside in order to seize half of the amount of wood felled by civilians and buy the rest for low price. Civilians find themselves forced to accept this "Shabiha-like" behaviour in return for being allowed to cut and process logs, a job which poses a threat to their safety and lives, since the workers are exposed to traffic accidents on mountain roads and regime shelling and attacks on Latakia frontlines.
Moreover, Hayyaat Tahrir al-Sham continues clamping down on the people of Idlib by forcing people to pay levies, mainly targeting work lords, workers and the owners of shops, olive pressers and farmlands.
