Chicagoland mall ‘terrorist’ did obsessive research before attack: prosecutors
[NYPOST] The driver of an SUV that plowed through a reliably Democrat Chicago, aka The Windy City or Mobtown
...home of Al Capone, the Chicago Black Sox, a succession of Daleys, Barak Obama, and Rahm Emmanuel...
land mall obsessively researched the center online prior to the mayhem that sparked more than 100 terrified calls to 911, prosecutors said.

Javier Garcia, 22, has been charged with terrorism and held without bond for the Sept. 20 carnage that was caught on a now-viral video viewed more than 10 million times.

In the day before his attack, Garcia conducted 124 internet searches on Woodfield Mall in suburban Schaumburg, including the stores inside and street and aerial views, prosecutors said in Leighton Criminal Court on Sunday.

The bipolar suspect also searched a former teacher at least 21 times, although no further explanation was given in court, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Garcia had smashed his black Chevrolet Trailblazer through double doors into a Sears ‐ prompting more than 100 calls to 911, according to the reports.

"The shattering of the glass sounded like multiple gunshots, causing patrons to initially believe that there was an active shooter in the mall," Assistant State’s Attorney Annalee McGlone told the court. "Hysterical patrons were running and jumping in attempts to evade the vehicle’s path. Stores were locking their gates and sheltering people in the rear of stores for safety purposes."

The SUV narrowly missed a train transporting young children through the mall before finally becoming wedged between support columns, prosecutors said, with two off-duty cops finally yanking Garcia from the car.

Garcia had driven more than halfway through the mall, but luckily no one was hit, the court heard. The damage was estimated to be more than $110,000.

Under Illinois law, the Class X felony of terrorism can apply if the suspect caused more than $100,000 in damage to any building containing five or more businesses, according to Schaumburg police.

Garcia, who also was charged with damaging property in excess of $100,000, faces a possible sentence of 20 years to life, according to the reports.

Cook County Judge Mary Marubio denied bail requests, calling Garcia a "danger to the community," the Chicago Sun-Times said.

Outside court, Garcia’s attorney, Amil Alkass, called the terrorism charge "a little aggressive" and told the court that his client is being treated for bipolar disorder and paranoid schizophrenia.

"He’s definitely not a terrorist," Alkass told the Chicago Sun-Times. "There was nobody targeted."

Afghanistan
Torkham Crossing Reopened After Presidential Elections
[ToloNews] Pakistain shut the round-the-clock crossing‐except for people in need of emergency care‐to aid with security during the Afghan elections.

The Torkham crossing, which connects Afghanistan and Pakistain in the eastern province of Nangarhar
The unfortunate Afghan province located adjacent to Mohmand, Kurram, and Khyber Agencies. The capital is Jalalabad. The province was the fief of Younus Khalis after the Soviets departed and one of his sons is the current provincial Taliban commander. Nangarhar is Haqqani country..
, has been reopened for trade and traffic after two days of closures due to the Afghanistan's Caped Presidential elections, Pak media reported on Monday.

Pakistain’s government announced on Thursday, September 26, that the closure of the crossing for the next two days was to aid security for the election , held on Saturday, September 28.

According to Pak media, the restriction was applied to everyone except in the case of patients who needed emergency care; even NATO
...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A single organization with differing goals, equipment, language, doctrine, and structure....
supply vehicles were prevented from crossing.

Earlier in the year, Pakistain’s Prime Minister Imran Khan
...aka The Great Khan, who is the lightweight's lightweight...
directed relevant authorities to make arrangements for keeping Torkham crossing open 24/7, and the opening ceremony of the 24-hour crossing at Torkham was held in mid-September. Prime Minister Imran Khan was in attendance along with a number of Afghan government officials, including Nangarhar governor Shah Mahmoud Miakhail and acting Minister of Public Works Yama Yari.

The presence of Afghan officials at the 24-hour Torkham Crossing ceremony caused controversy as it is on the Durand Line, which Pakistain claims as its border and Afghanistan does not. For some critics, including former Afghan president Hamed Karzai, the attendance of Afghan officials tacitly legitimated Pakistain’s claim to the Durand Line as a border.

The border issued has provided ammunition for campaign skirmishes, as former national security chief and presidential candidate Rahmatullah Nabil alleged that President Ghani has chosen to recognize the Durand Line as a border between Afghanistan and Pakistain for his own personal interests.

Nabil claimed that based on his information, Pakistain has been pulling the fence inside Afghanistan up to 20 km and has distributed Pak ID cards in those areas.

The Afghan government, however, says that only the Afghan people can decide on the Durand Line.

The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Europe
German ex-spy chief Maassen to join law firm that represented AfD
[DW] A law firm that represented the populist AfD against Germany's domestic spy agency is now hiring that agency's ex-head. Hans-Georg Maassen lost his job amid allegations of improper dealings with the party.

The controversial former head of Germany's domestic intelligence agency (BfV), Hans-Georg Maassen, is joining a Cologne
...the largest city in North Rhine-Westphalia and the fourth populated city in Germany....
law firm that counts the far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD) among its clients, German media reported on Monday.

Maassen has, however, said that he will not take on cases involving the party, according to the reports by broadcasters WDR and NDR and the daily Suddeutsche Zeitung.

"I do not want to be accused of being the AfD's lawyer," he was quoted as saying.

It was partly allegations that he had passed sensitive information to the AfD and harbored sympathies with the party's anti-immigration stance that led to his being forced into retirement in late 2018 after six years as BfV head.

FELLOW CONSERVATIVES
The Cologne firm took successful legal action against the BfV in February of this year to prevent it from continuing to make public its classification of the AfD as a "case under surveillance" (Pruffall) for alleged unconstitutional activities. The court ruled, among other things, that the classification could deter potential voters.

The firm is run by Ralf Höcker, an expert on media law who is also the front man for the WerteUnion, an association of conservatives of which Maassen is also an active member. Although the WerteUnion takes as members only those who already belong to Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists...
's CDU/CSU conservative bloc, its youth branch JU or associated groups, it is not recognized by the CDU as a party organization.

According to Höcker, the AfD takes only third place among his firm's political clients after the CDU and the SPD.

The reports quoted Maassen as saying he would not take on cases "connected with the BfV," or represent the Left Party or Green Party.

"That would not be good for them or good for me," he was quoted as saying.

Chemnitz neo-Nazi group in court over Germany attack plot
[DW] Eight members of an alleged neo-Nazi
...adherents of a philosophy that was seen even at the time as pure evil, which makes them either consciously and purely evil, or attention-seeking ratbags. Pick one, or both....
terror cell from Chemnitz are on trial in an eastern German court. The case involves a suspected plan to carry out "violent attacks" and launch a civil-war-like rebellion in Berlin.

The trial against the far-right Revolution Chemnitz group was set to begin in Dresden's Higher Regional Court on Monday.

The eight suspects ‐ aged between 21 and 32 ‐ are accused of "forming a right-wing terrorist organization" in the eastern city of Chemnitz in September 2018.

COMPLEX TERROR CASE
The trial, expected to run until at least April 2020, is one of the most complex cases to come before the Dresden court, involving more than 60 files and testimony from around 75 witnesses.

The accused are alleged leaders in the skinhead, hooligan and neo-Nazi scenes in and around Chemnitz.

Violent anti-migrant riots erupted in the eastern German city last year following the fatal stabbing of a German man by a Syrian asylum-seeker in August.

Prosecutors say five of the defendants "armed with glass bottles, weighted knuckle gloves, and an electroshock appliance" launched an attack on several foreign residents of Chemnitz in September 2018.

They allege this incident was a "test run" for the planned rampage in Berlin on October 3. Police arrested the suspects in raids on October 1.

RISING DANGER OF VIOLENCE
The eastern state of Saxony, where Chemnitz is located, has seen a fierce backlash against Chancellor Angela Merkel
...chancellor of Germany and the impetus behind Germany's remarkably ill-starred immigration program. Merkel used to be referred to by Germans as Mom. Now they make faces at her for inundating the country with Moslem colonists...
's decision to allow almost a million refugees to enter Germany in 2015.

Support for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party and the anti-Islam PEGIDA movement is particularly strong there. In regional elections earlier this month, the AfD won 27.5% of the vote, only slightly behind Merkel's conservative Christian Democrats on 32%.

Interior Minister Horst Seehofer has warned that the danger posed by the bully boy right is growing and is "as big a threat as radical Islamism."

Seehofer announced over the weekend that police last year uncovered 1,091 weapons during investigations linked to the far right ‐ a significant increase from the 676 found in 2017.

Greece wants to return 10,000 migrants to Turkey after deadly camp fire
[AlAhram] Greece said Monday it wanted to start sending back thousands of migrants colonists to The Sick Man of Europe Turkey

LHC allows Hafiz Saeed's case to be shifted from Gujranwala to Lahore
[DAWN] The Lahore High Court on Monday allowed that a terrorism financing case against Hafiz Saeed, chief of the banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa
...the front organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba...
(JuD), be shifted from a Gujranwala anti-terrorism court (ATC) to one in Lahore.

LHC Chief Justice Sardar Shamim Ahmed heard a petition filed by Saeed in which he said that he was being kept in a jail in Lahore but was transported to Gujranwala for every appearance before the court.

He said that in light of the security situation, appearing before the Gujranwala court was not fitting and added that if he was being held in a jail in Lahore, the case should also be shifted there.

During the proceedings, a lawyer for the government said that they had no objection to shifting the case.

Issuing the order, the LHC chief justice wrapped up the petition.

In July, Saeed was arrested in connection with the terrorism financing case while on his way from Lahore to Gujranwala. Prior to his arrest, the , were booked in nearly two dozen casestop 13 leaders of JuD, including Saeed and Naib Emir Abdul Rehman Makki for terror financing and money laundering under the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997.

Million march decision irreversible, says JUI-F chief
[DAWN] Chief of his own faction of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman on Sunday said that his party’s decision about the “million march” towards Islamabad was irreversible, saying “neither do we want to strike any deal with the government nor do we want to give it any space”.

Speaking at a press conference after JUI-F district executive council’s meeting here on Sunday, he said they don’t accept the “illegitimate” government of Imran Khan which had been imposed on the masses as a result of “rigged” elections. “The establishment is responsible for the illegitimate government,” he said, but added that his party did not want any confrontation with state institutions.

Commenting on the prime minister’s speech on the Kashmir issue at the UN General Assembly, the JUI-F chief said that emotional speeches alone were not enough for a just settlement of the Kashmir issue and practical steps were necessary to convince the world about the seriousness of Pakistan’s stand.

“What message the prime minister wants to convey to the world when he threatened to start nuclear war with India and admitted during an interview that the ISI and Pakistan Army had trained the activists of Al Qaeda,” he said.

ATC returns Mureed Abbas murder case to sessions court in Karachi
[DAWN] The case pertaining to the murder of TV anchorperson Mureed Abbas and another person allegedly by their business partner took another turn on Monday, with an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Bloody Karachi
...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous...
ruling that the case did not fall within the meaning of ’terrorism’.

The ATC-I judge thus transferred the case to the District South sessions court for conducting the trial of a detained suspect, Atif Zaman, in the double murder.

Police had booked and arrested Zaman for allegedly killing his two business partners ‐ Abbas and Khizar Hayat ‐ in Khayaban-e-Bukhari, DHA, on the night of July 9.

Earlier, Judicial Magistrate (South) Abdul Raqeeb Tunio had referred the case to the administrative judge of the anti-terrorism courts on August 20 for further trial, observing that the matter fell within the ambit of terrorism.

The magistrate had accepted the charge sheet filed by the investigating officer, who had incorporated Section 7 (punishment for acts of terrorism) of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, in addition to the charge of murder.

On Monday, the ATC judge pronounced his verdict on an application moved by Atif Zaman seeking the transfer of the case to the sessions court.

The judge ruled that the motive behind the murder, according to the FIR, appeared to be a dispute between the parties on account of an investment of the dear departed with the suspect. He further declared that the incident did not cause any sense of terror in the society, and therefore it did not fall within the meaning of terrorism.

The judge allowed the suspect’s application for transfer of the case to the sessions court concerned.

Pakistan summons Indian diplomat over shelling in Kashmir
[PRESSTV] Pakistain has summoned India’s deputy high commissioner in the wake of a recent ceasefire violation by Indian forces in the disputed Himalayan region of Kashmir
...a disputed territory lying between India and Pakistain. After partition, the Paks grabbed half of it and call it Azad (Free) Kashmir. The remainder they refer to as "Indian Occupied Kashmir". They have fought four wars with India over it, the score currently 4-0 in New Delhi's favor. After 72 years of this nonsense, India cut the Gordian knot in 2019, removing the area's special status, breaking off Ladakh as a separate state, and allowing people from other areas to settle (or in the case of the Pandits, to resettle) there....
"The ceasefire violations by India are a threat to regional peace and security and may lead to a strategic miscalculation," Pakistain’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.

Gaurav Ahluwalia, the deputy high commissioner, was summoned to hear Islamabad’s protest.

Pakistain says a 60-year-old woman and a teenage boy were killed in a deadly shelling along the volatile Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday and Sunday.

A front man for India’s Foreign Ministry said it had no immediate comment on the matter.

Kashmir has long been a flash point between India and Pakistain, which have fought two of their three wars over the disputed territory. Both countries rule parts of Kashmir while claiming it in full.

India regularly accuses Pakistain of arming and training Death Eaters and allowing them across the restive frontier in an attempt to launch attacks. Pakistain strongly denies the allegation.
"allowing"? Try "Sending"
On August 5, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a surprise executive decree to strip the Indian-controlled portion of the Moslem-majority region of its special status. Modi claimed the decision was necessary for Kashmir’s economic development and it was meant to stop "terrorism."

Iraq reopens key border crossing with neighboring Syria
Anbar (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Iraq opened on Monday a key border crossing with neighboring Syria, a move which is expected to strengthen trade ties between the two countries.

The crossing which lies between the Iraqi town of al-Qaim and Syria’s Albu Kamal was closed seven years ago during Syria’s civil war.

The crossing was reopened for travelers and trade.

The western town of Qaim was recaptured from Islamic State

The Syrian town of Albu Kamal was also an Islamic State stronghold.

Iraq-Syria border crossing reopens amid series of reported Israeli strikes

[IsraelTimes] The crossing between Qaim and Boukamal is located near the Imam Ali Base, the Iranian-controlled compound seen as key to facilitating Iran’s arms shipments.

The opening was also a boost to Iran’s influence in the region, allowing Iran-backed militias in Iraq easier access to eastern Syria amid soaring tensions in the region between Iran

Israel responsible for attacks on Popular Mobilization Units: Iraqi PM
[PRESSTV] Iraqi Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi has held Israel responsible for a string of attacks on the positions of the pro-government Popular Mobilization Units (PMU), following investigations into recent assaults on the voluntary forces.

"Investigations into the targeting of some Popular Mobilization Forces positions indicate that Israel carried it out," Abdul-Mahdi said in an interview with the Doha-based Arabic-language al-Jazeera television news network on Monday.

The Iraqi prime minister added that "many indicators show that no one wants war in the region except for Israel."

Earlier this month, the air defenses of the Popular Mobilization Units, better known by the Arabic name Hashd al-Sha'abi, thwarted an Arclight airstrike

by an "unidentified" drone on a main military base in Iraq's north-central province of Salahuddin.

The Salahuddin Operations Command Center of the volunteer forces announced in a statement on September 11 that missile defense systems fired shots at the aircraft as it was flying over the headquarters of the 35th Brigade of the fighters.

US says 128,000 Syrians subject to arbitrary detention
[AlAhram] The United States said Monday nearly 128,000 people face arbitrary detention by the Syrian regime and called for their release.

"This practice is unacceptable," US Ambassador Kelly Craft told the UN Security Council at its monthly meeting on the conflict in Syria.

"The Assad regime must release detainees and provide international monitors access to detention centers," she said.

Syria's Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Trampler of Homs...
has declared several amnesties of prisoners since the conflict began in 2011 -- notably in 2014, 2018, and in mid-September.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergey Vershinin called for the "elimination of Lions of Islam in Idlib" province, while stressing that utmost care be taken to spare civilians.

The conflict has claimed the lives of an estimated 370,000 people.

"The time has come to encourage and not impede Syria's return to the Arab family," Vershinin said.

Syria was suspended from the Arab League
...an organization of Arabic-speaking states with 22 member countries and four observers. The League tries to achieve Arab consensus on issues, which usually leaves them doing nothing but a bit of grimacing and mustache cursing...
in 2011, and the issue of its return has divided the organization's members for more than a year.

Security Council members welcomed the creation of a UN-sponsored constitutional committee by the government and the opposition, after two years of arduous negotiations.

The UN envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, said the committee's formation marked the first concrete political agreement between the government and the opposition.

"It is also a shared promise to the Syrian people to try to agree under the auspices of the United Nations
...an organization originally established to war on dictatorships which was promptly infiltrated by dictatorships and is now held in thrall to dictatorships...
on new constitutional arrangements for Syria -- a new social contract to help repair a broken country," he said.

The committee's 150 members are supposed to hold their first meeting October 30 in Geneva.

Its revision of the constitution is viewed by the UN as a first step toward holding elections that would include the Syrian diaspora.

Last week, the Syrian regime stressed that no deadline has been set for the committee to conclude its work.

Iran rattles saber again
[PRESSTV] Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Mohammad Baqeri says the Islamic Theocratic Republic has mustered sustainable and strong deterrence power to ward off plots by enemies who think about any form of aggression against the country.

General Baqeri made the remarks while addressing a national gathering of commanders and staff officials of Iran's Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) on Monday.

"Praise be to God, at the present time, a sustainable and strong form of deterrence has been created in the face of enemy’s plot to carry out any act of aggression against the Islamic Iran
...a theocratic Shiite state divided among the Medes, the Persians, and the (Arab) Elamites. Formerly a fairly civilized nation ruled by a Shah, it became a victim of Islamic revolution in 1979. The nation is today noted for spontaneously taking over other countries' embassies, maintaining whorehouses run by clergymen, involvement in international drug trafficking, and financing sock puppet militias to extend the regime's influence. The word Iran is a cognate form of Aryan, the abbreviation IRGC is a cognate form of Stürmabteilung (or SA), the term Supreme Guide is a cognate form of either Shah or Führer or maybe both, and they hate Jews Zionists Jews. Their economy is based on the production of oil and vitriol...
and enemies have understood that the Islamic Iran enjoys the readiness, determination and courage and will not hesitate to defend its ideals, land and people," he said.

The top Iranian commander noted, "At the present time, the Islamic Theocratic Republic of Iran, as a superior regional power, recognizes its responsibility for maintaining regional security and stability and plays a basic role in this regard... it does not think about ... waging war and sowing insecurity and seeks calm and tranquility through regional cooperation."

Baqeri pointed to great achievements made by the IRGC's Aerospace Division and said the reinforcement of the country's defense, missile and drone capabilities, showing off the vigilant and firm preparedness of the country’s armed forces to counter the enemy's threats and plots, the destruction of the terrorists' bastions in different regional areas and the downing of an intruding US drone demonstrated only parts of the might of the IRGC and the Islamic establishment.

Syria rejects foreign interference in constitutional committee’ work: FM Muallem
[PRESSTV] Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Muallem says the Damascus government does not accept any foreign interference in the work of a constitutional committee on Syria, which will include members of Hereditary President-for-Life Bashir Pencilneck al-Assad
Lord of the Baath...
's government and foreign-sponsored opposition representatives.

"When an article or two of any standing constitution are amended, it becomes a new constitution. It will be subjected to a referendum. We didn’t only speak about discussing the current constitution, and we don’t exclude discussing a new constitution as these are the rules of procedures ... We are committed to them, thereby, before going to a new constitution, we should discuss the current one, which has witnessed a popular approbation after a referendum" Muallem said in an exclusive interview with Russia's RT Arabic television news network on the sidelines of the 74th session of the United Nations
...aka the Oyster Bay Chowder and Marching Society...
General Assembly in New York on Sunday.

He added, "But if we don’t reach an agreement with the other side, we don’t mind discussing another constitution, but not a ready-made one."

The top Syrian diplomat further noted that the Damascus government abides by the principles of the constitutional body announced a few days ago, and does not accept any violation, as it views the new committee a significant achievement for the Syrian nation.
