Former Democrat San Diego Mayor Bob Filner pleaded guilty this morning to three criminal counts related to the sexual harassment allegations that drove him from office after a summer of scandal. finally
Specifically, Filner pleaded guilty before Superior Court Presiding Judge Robert Trentacosta to one criminal count of false imprisonment by violence, fraud, menace and deceit and two misdemeanor counts of battery.
The charges involve three unnamed women victims.
U-T Watchdog reported earlier this month that a criminal grand jury had been empaneled to hear evidence of possible criminal charges against Filner, 71, who resigned from office on Aug. 30. At least two lawyers said that they had clients who were called to testify in front of the panel, with appearance dates later this week. The guilty plea indicates the impending proceedings may have provided leverage for a plea deal. [DAILYCALLER] Republican National Committee (RNC) chairman Reince Preibus called for Hillary Clinton ... former Secretary of State, sometimes described as For a good time at 3 a.m. call Hillary and at other times as Mrs. Bill, never as Another Edmund Randolph ... , Harry Reid ... the charismatic senator-for-life from Nevada, currently majority leader ... , and the Democratic National Committee (DNC) to return campaign donations they received from a man who pled guilty to identity theft of the terminally ill.
Clinton, Reid, and the DNC all received donations from Joseph Caramadre. Democratic Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe invested $47,000 in an illegal business in which Caramadre applied for annuities and bonds with the stolen identities of dying people.
Caramadre donated $27,000 to McAuliffe's last gubernatorial campaign in 2009 and hosted a fundraiser for the former DNC chairman. McAuliffe and his campaign immediately vowed to make contributions to the American Cancer Society to atone for the investment and 2009 campaign contribution from Caramadre.
"The allegations are horrible and he never would have invested if he knew he was being deceived," said a McAuliffe front man.
But the RNC found that the scandal is wider than initially thought.
Caramadre and his wife Paula have donated $13,000 to Hillary Clinton since 2005, $9,200 to Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid since 2007, $5,000 to the DNC since 2007, and $28,250 and $25,250 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC) and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) respectively since 2006.

[WASHINGTONTIMES] Election officials across Virginia are grappling with how to follow through with a directive from the State Board of Elections to purge up to 57,000 registered voters from the state rolls -- a move that has prompted a lawsuit from the Democratic Party of Virginia and outright defiance by at least one registrar.
The state, working this year for the first time as part of a multistate program intended to validate voters, says it is required by law to conduct maintenance on voter lists and is not canceling voters but directing local registrars to review registrants carefully. The program provides information to election boards about voters who are registered in more than one state.
But the timing of the move -- weeks before the state's gubernatorial election -- has raised eyebrows. The state Democratic Party filed a lawsuit this month and asked a federal court for an injunction. A high number of registered voters and a large turnout generally are considered to be advantages for Democrats.
A hearing is scheduled for Oct. 18 -- three days after the voter registration deadline passes in Virginia.
"Local election officials in counties throughout the state have identified countless errors in the SBE's list of 57,000," the lawsuit says. It further argues that the purge is being enforced by Attorney General Kenneth T. Cuccinelli II, "notwithstanding the direct conflict of interest that Cuccinelli has as the Republican gubernatorial candidate."

Reminds me one day I was talking with a one of these French who believe flowers grow under Obama's steps. I told him about Democratic voter fraud. Of course he replied Republicans cheat at least at much. I told him: It is easy to know which party relies on voter fraud to win elections: Which party wants to enforce voter id and which one opposes it". That silenced him. :-)
BTW, here in France it is simply a no-brainer that you have to produce an offiical Id with photo for voting. No ID no vote. You are also required to register at the latest by end of Decemeber of the preceeding year and for registering you are required to prove you are a citizen. No registering, no vote. This prevents or at least reduces the amount of voters who vote without knowing whom they are voting for and the amount of cheating consisting into picking bumps in the street, give them a sandwich and bus them to vote.
(BTW: At last presidential election in many districts of Massachusetss rollout was over 100%. At times over 200%. Ie unregistereed people, who probably weren't required to produce an ID, exceeded the number of registered people. Those districts voted massively for Obama. And they influenced the vote at state level. Now do that in swing states and you can alter the outcome of a presidential election. Obama won about evry swing state.

Bounce the 57,000 names against EBT applications and weekly usage. That should give you an indication of status, and if nothing else, dietary habits, which then can be sold to NSA for commercial marketing purposes. Zombies don't eat, right ?

Each state should delete the entire voters list every 4 years and let people register all over again. Dems could view it as guaranteed permanent employment for ACORN and its progeny.

My brother lived with us for a few years, then moved out. I might have voted for him, in 2012, but I was asked for my Virginia driver's license to vote. A few weeks ago, he was dropped from the Virginia voter rolls. At least he can't vote Democratic from Korea.

It's a hefty bet on the future, given that government officials have been trying for nine years, with little success, to get automakers to build more hydrogen cars.
The project is part of a sprawling but little-known state program that packs a powerful financial punch: It spent $1.6 billion last year on a myriad of energy-efficiency and alternative-energy projects.
Even as California has scaled back education, law enforcement and assistance to the disabled in this era of financial stress, the energy program has continued unrestrained and is expected to grow significantly in coming years.
State agencies have invested in milk trucks that run on cow manure, power plants fueled by ocean tides and artificial photosynthesis for powering vehicles and buildings.
The spending is drawing increasing scrutiny. Some of the energy investments have gone bust, electricity costs have soared, and some economists have disputed the benefits. The legality of some consumer fees that fund the programs also is being challenged in court.
The alternative-energy projects are largely financed by small charges on electricity bills or obscure consumer fees that are seldom noticed. The hydrogen fueling stations, for example, will be financed by a $3 fee on license plates.
Proponents of this spending say the funds are working the way they were designed. The money is helping position the state as an international leader in energy-conservation technology, said Michael Peevey, president of the California Public Utilities Commission.
"We are on a mission to deal with climate change," said Peevey, who oversees most of the spending. "It is considered a great success story."
Not everybody is convinced that the investments are doing any good for ratepayers.
"Suddenly, you look up and there are literally hundreds of millions of dollars going into investments that produce marginal benefits," said state Sen. Rod Wright (D-Inglewood), a member of the Energy, Utilities and Communications Committee.
"You know the tale of Robin Hood? Well, this is robbing the 'hood," he said. "You are taking from poor people to give to rich people."
Over the last decade, the state has invested nearly $15 billion in its campaign for energy efficiency and alternative energy.
The vast majority of the money is doled out through about 20 programs run by three agencies -- the California Energy Commission, the Public Utilities Commission and the Air Resources Board.
The spending dates back to the 1970s energy crisis. More recently, the passage of the 2006 Global Warming Solutions Act has shifted California's focus to become a leader in greenhouse-gas reduction.
The largest amount is for a $1-billion-a-year program that funds rebates and subsidies -- on products including solar panels, industrial equipment and energy-efficient swimming pool pumps -- for residential and commercial customers of utilities. About 24,000 free refrigerators were delivered to families that met income qualifications.

After Tesla sales I'd bet on electric cars before I'd bet on hydrogen. They'll extend battery life and come up with a way to rapid charge or quick change out the batteries and slowly improve while hydrogen stays where it is.
