-Lurid Crime Tales-
Could the bombs that targeted Democrats win them the midterm elections?
[Washington Examiner] Democrats are gearing up to use attempted bomb attacks on frequent objects of President Trump’s criticism, including the Clintons and former President Barack Obama, as part of their closing argument less than two weeks out from the midterm elections.

Although Trump denounced these "despicable acts," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said his "words ring hollow until he reverses his statements that condone acts of violence," listing his reaction to Charlottesville, praise for a congressman who body-slammed a reporter, description of media outlets as the "enemy of the people," and encouragement of fights at his raucous campaign rallies as examples of his coarsening of the public discourse and incitement of a violent political culture.

It’s a tactic that has worked before. Then-President Bill Clinton struck back at anti-government rhetoric in the aftermath of the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing and eventually used a heroic survivor of that attack to rebuke congressional Republicans for government shutdowns. "I challenge all of you in this chamber: Never, ever shut the federal government down again," he said in his 1996 State of the Union address.

Some have credited Clinton’s response to Oklahoma City with saving his presidency after the 1994 elections dramatically handed Congress to Republicans for the first time in decades. "The haters and extremists didn’t go away, but they were on the defensive, and, for the rest of my term, would never quite regain the position they had enjoyed after Timothy McVeigh took the demonization of government beyond the limits of humanity," he wrote in his memoirs.

'The Camp of the Saints' - Judge Napolitano gets it wrong again
[Wash Times] In Jean Raspail’s 1973 dystopian novel, "The Camp of the Saints," about 1 million poor folks from India make their way on hundreds of ships around the southern tip of Africa and up to the French Riviera. The international media use helicopters to follow the flotilla, and the news of the flotilla’s movements dominates the headlines for weeks.

As the flotilla gets closer to France, panic sets in, and fear becomes a political weapon. The government doesn’t know what to do. The president of France finally orders the French military to secure the borders and use deadly force to prevent the flotilla from landing.

Then, after pangs of conscience set in and animate him, the president tells senior military personnel to instruct their troops to use their own judgment and do the right thing. With the exception of some stereotypical holdouts, the military members take their arms and flee into the countryside.

The flotilla lands. The passengers have no desire to assimilate, and they murder people who do not welcome them. They change immigration laws and become a paradigm for other mass migrations. Across the West, pro-immigrant governments are established.

When the book was first published, it found favor in many nativist quarters. It is brilliantly written, and the standard English translation offers compelling reading and is hard to put down. It is also rabidly racist, portraying nearly all in the West as thoughtful, intelligent and honest and nearly everyone of color as avaricious, lazy and amoral.

#3  It is also rabidly racist, portraying nearly all in the West as thoughtful, intelligent and honest and nearly everyone of color as avaricious, lazy and amoral.

Throughout the book, Raspail does consistently describe the invaders as brown. Which they are. But if you read through to the end, the author explicitly makes the point that it is all about culture and skin color has nothing to do with it.

The book was disturbing in that the Europeans simply threw up their hands and did nothing to stop the invasion. Doubly so when the same events, differing only by scale and continent of origin, played out on the daily news. And now, we are watching it again. I can only hope the ending will be different this time.

-Short Attention Span Theater-
NY Times delivers Trump assassination stories for its rubes
An excerpt:
[JustOneMinute] The Russian landed at Dulles after 48 hours of traveling. Of necessity, he came from Moscow by a circuitous route. A long way with a very specific task. There would be no return flight.

(snip)

When it was time, he went downstairs, took his place in the lobby before the entourage appeared. The hotel staff had been lined up to see their boss, the president, go by. A few of them applauded. Most did not.

The president didn’t seem to notice. He waved, in his desultory fashion. The Secret Service agents clustered around him, ushered him toward the armored limo idling outside at the curb.

The Russian waited until they were a few steps past before he drew the gun. He sighted on the center of the president’s back, and squeezed the trigger.

The Makarov misfired.

The Secret Service agent at the president’s shoulder heard the click, spun into a crouch. He registered the scene instantly, drawing his own weapon with razor-edge reflexes.

The Russian tasted failure. He closed his eyes and waited to pay the cost.

It did not come.

He opened his eyes. The Secret Service agent stood before him, presenting his Glock, butt first.

“Here,” the agent said politely. “Use mine. …”

So Venezuela was behind the great Honduras migrant caravan all along?
By Monica Showalter

[AmericanThinker] According to Vice President Mike Pence, Honduras's president, Juan Orlando Hernández, told him that the illegal migrant caravan heading from his country through Mexico on to the U.S. is the work of Chavista Venezuela, with that country's oil cash being employed to destabilize both countries.

Here's what Breitbart reported, citing an interview with the Washington Post's Bob Costa:

Europe
How the Kremlin Manipulates Europe's Refugee Crisis and Possibly More
Excerpt:
[Observer - 04/06/16] The hand of Russian intelligence behind some European far-right politicians and sensationalist news stories can be detected by those with the skilled eyes to see it, but there have also been nagging questions about whether the Kremlin is stoking the migrant crisis itself. It’s undeniably true that Syria, a Russian client state, has been perfectly happy to export its huge refugee problem to Europe, while Mr. Putin’s military intervention in that bloody civil war last year has only increased the flows of desperate Syrian refugees seeking sanctuary in the West.

But does Russian intelligence play a more direct role in encouraging migrants to head for the EU? Several Western security services have hinted at this reality, but only recently have any European governments been willing to go on the record with their concerns. In mid-February, Finland’s defense minister bluntly stated that the flow of migrants into his country via Russia was "our most serious challenge." Now, with refugees taking an Arctic route into the EU from Russia in unprecedented numbers, Helsinki is openly accusing the Kremlin and its intelligence services of flooding Finland, and therefore the EU, with refugees as a political weapon to destabilize Europe.

This notion, which may sound far-fetched to neophytes, is taken very seriously by leading EU and NATO members, particularly those unlucky enough to be located close to Russia. "This is all the FSB," explained a senior security official from one of NATO’s border states, referring to Russia’s powerful Federal Security Service. "Migrants go where the FSB sends them, many of the human traffickers are FSB agents," adding that for the Kremlin this is a "win-win since it gets the migrants out of their lap and drops them in ours."
Emphasis added.

#1  If it worked for the Russians in destabilizing Europe, perhaps it will work for the Russians using Cuban proxy, Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro against the U.S.

Did someone see it coming ?

A year ago President Trump said the U.S. was considering a "military option" for Venezuela, and last month Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio said there's now "a very strong argument" that Venezuela presents a security threat to South America that calls for the use of the U.S. military.

Seemed like a rather strange statement from Senator Rubio at the time. Perhaps not so strange in light of recent events.

Hillary Clinton Makes 'Get Out The Vote' Tour Stop In Tijuana
[Babylon Bee] TIJUANA ‐ Democratic party icon Hillary Clinton held a "Get Out & Vote!" tour stop in Mexico's populous border city Tijuana Tuesday. Clinton stated that "the Republicans will lose the midterm elections because they are neglecting our minorities, while we're able to inspire many Mexican nationals to get out there and vote."

"Uh... Pokemon VAMINOS to the polls!" she added before aides silenced her.

Tour organizers claim Democrat voter registration is already healthy in Tijuana and surrounding Mexican cities but hoped that Clinton could inspire higher voter turnout in the coming midterms. They further claimed it's beneficial to the Democrats' cause to have Clinton not talk very much ahead of important elections, so they wanted to get her out of the country.

Barack Obama was reported to have been a part of the tour stop but didn't want to leave the country in fear of being unable to continue stabilizing the economy. "If there is anyone that can bring the people of Tijuana to the polls, it is my dear friend Hillary," said Obama. "We'll entrust this important task of registering foreign voters to her while I keep things together here in the States."

The tour will continue into Mexico, then make its way back into the U.S.‐but not before Clinton makes scheduled stump speeches at several local cemeteries.

San Francisco is allowing illegals to VOTE, but only few have registered and the reason why is AWESOME!
BLUF:
[Right Scoop] "People are really fearful because the Trump administration is perceived to be very anti-immigrant," Lee said. "There is legitimate concern that their information may be turned over to the federal government and that they may end up being detained or deported."

Lee and other community groups have been inviting prospective voters to register but also warning them of the risks. The city election department also has warnings on its registration form and on flyers saying voter information would be public and could be seen by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other agencies.

#1  Be advised: Georgia voter tracking device. It triggers a hidden camera as you walk out of the polling place. Wearing it on a shirt pocket usually results in a clear head shot. Sensors within the peach transmit your fingerprint and 'Google tracks' you to your residence. Pharamone sensor can track your dietary habits (rice-beans) for up to seven days.

You see any of the polling place people wearing them? Of course not.

A revealing story on the voting booths, electronic voting cards, and polling place parking lot security cams will air in Friday's Burg.

Dem Candidate Katie Porter Backs Reparations, Far-Left Agenda
[Freebeacon] A document that was deleted from the website of a progressive group shows Democratic congressional candidate Katie Porter, who is running in California's competitive 45th district against Republican representative Mimi Walters, would immediately back a far-left agenda and legislation if elected to Congress, including creating a commission to study reparations for slavery.
Give Katie a break. She thinks and acts no differently than any other democrat.
The document was uploaded to the Progressive Democrats of America's website but was deleted after the Washington Free Beacon contacted the group over a similar document in relation to Harley Rouda, the Democratic candidate in California's 48th congressional district. Before contacting the group about Rouda's answers, the Free Beacon downloaded responses by other candidates in the event the group scrubbed the files from the site, which they did.

On a questionnaire Porter submitted to the Progressive Democrats of America as she was seeking the group's endorsement, she signaled that she would support far-left legislation despite telling CNBC in early September that Democrats would "go to work in a serious way on the most pressing issues facing Americans."

Porter signaled that she would immediately support the likes of the Expanded and Improved Medicare for All Act, the creation of a Department of Peacebuilding, the Jobs for All Act, the Commission to Study Reparation Proposals for African-Americans Act, and the Raise the Wage Act, among a slew of other pieces of far-left legislation.

Study: People With Fewer Sex Partners Report Happier Marriages
[Atlantic] If you are on the proverbial market, as you rack up phone swipes, first dates, and‐likely‐new sexual partners, you might start to ask yourself, Is all this dating going to make me happier with whomever I end up with?

In other words, are you actually getting any closer to finding "the one"? Or are you simply stuck on a hedonic treadmill of potential lovers, doomed like some sort of sexual Sisyphus to be perpetually close to finding your soul mate, only to realize‐far, far too late‐that they are deal-breakingly disappointing?

Well, sociology has some unfortunate news!

Over at the Institute for Family Studies, Nicholas Wolfinger, a sociologist at the University of Utah, has found that Americans who have only ever slept with their spouses are most likely to report being in a "very happy" marriage. Meanwhile, the lowest odds of marital happiness‐about 13 percentage points lower than the one-partner women‐belong to women who have had six to 10 sexual partners in their lives. For men, there’s still a dip in marital satisfaction after one partner, but it’s never as low as it gets for women, as Wolfinger’s graph shows:
