[KhaamaPress] At least five holy warriors were killed after the U.S. drones targeted a vehicle of the Talibs in southeastern Paktia province of Afghanistan.
The 203rd Thunder Corps of the Afghan Military in the Southeast in a statement said the dronezap was carried out in the vicinity of Zurmat district.
The statement further added that a vehicle which was carrying Talibs was targeted in Yamnai Khel area of the district, leaving five holy warriors dead.
The 203rd Thunder Corps also added that the vehicle was also destroyed during the same Arclight airstrike.
The anti-government armed holy warriors including the Talibs have not commented regarding the report so far.
Paktia has been among the relatively calm provinces in Southeast of Afghanistan but the security situation of the province has tanked comparatively during the recent years.
The holy warriors are active in some districts of the province and often attempt to carry out terrorist related activities.
[KhaamaPress] The Afghan National Police Forces have thwarted a plot by the anti-government armed snuffies to detonate a magnetic bomb in Kabul city.
The Kabul Police Commandment in a statement said late on Saturday evening that a magnetic Improvised Explosive Device was discovered and defused before the snuffies manage to detonate it in the 5th police district of the city.
The statement further added that the mine was planted on a roadside in Niaz Bek area in the 5th police district of Kabul.

The provincial government media office in a statement said at least four Talibs were killed in the raid and depot containing weapons and explosives was destroyed.
The statement further added that the operation was conducted at 12am local time on Friday in Khalaqdad area of Khogyani district which continued until 3am in the morning, leaving four forces of Evil dead.
Another Taliban Hamidullah who was expert in producing improvised bombs was tossed in the calaboose Please don't kill me! along with seven others during the same operation, the statement said.
The Afghan forces also confiscated some suicide kaboom vests, weapons, munitions, mines, and other explosives during the operation which were later destroyed, the provincial government said, adding that the NDS forces and local residents did not suffer casualties during the operation.

[DAWN] A suicide car kaboom on a bus carrying coppers and workers in central Afghanistan killed at least six people and maimed dozens on Saturday, officials said.
The Taliban ...Arabic for students... -claimed blast happened as the bus entered a police compound in the Wardak picturesque provincial capital of Maidan Shar, provincial police front man Hekmatullah Durrani said.
Six bodies and 31 maimed had been taken to hospitals in the city, health director Salim Asgharkhil said. Provincial governor spokesman Abdul Rahman Mangal confirmed the corpse count.
In a WhatsApp message, Taliban front man Zabiullah Mujahid said "tens of Afghan police and soldiers were killed" in the attack.

[RADIOSHABELLE] The security forces of Somalia’s southern Federal member state of Jubbaland have carried out a massive security operation in the coastal city of Kismayo ...a port city in the southern Lower Juba province of Somalia, at the extreme southern end of the country (assuming Somalia can be called a country). It is the commercial capital of the autonomous Jubaland region... following a heavy shootout.
Sa’id Hassan Dahir, the front man of Jubbland security agencies, told Radio Shabelle that the sweep saw the arrest of at least 11 soldiers said to be behind Saturday’s festivities.
He promised that the detained renegade soldiers will be arraigned in court to face the justice after killed a prominent traditional elder during the firefight with state troops.
The situation of the city has returned to normal on Sunday, according to the front man who added that the operation will keep on until the overall security is assured.

Air Commodore Ibikunle Daramola, NAF Director of Public Relations and Information, in a statement on Sunday said the operation was carried out on Saturday.
" The operation was carried out overnight of October 27 and early morning of October 28, following a report from troops at Gashigar that their location was under attack.
" Accordingly, a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) platform that was on a mission at another location was immediately redirected to Gashigar," he said.
The NAF front man said that In addition, a pair of Mi-35 helicopter gunships were scrambled to the location.
" Overhead Gashigar, the NAF ISR platform was joined by another from the Nigerien Air Force and they both were able to identify the location of the BHTs, in 13 Gun Trucks, as they advanced towards the camp from two different directions.
" They subsequently directed the fire of the helicopter gunships and ground troops support weapons towards the terrorists," he said.
Daramola said that the combined fire forced the BHTs to retreat from the camp.
" However, man does not live by words alone, despite the fact that sometimes he has to eat them... the BHTs attempted to regroup at a location outside the camp but were again engaged by the helicopter gunships and sent scampering in different directions, with several of them killed or injured in the process," he said.
According to him, the ISR platform and helicopters remained within the location providing necessary air support for the troops until the situation was stabilised and threats neutralised.
The front man said that the NAF, working in concert with ground forces, would sustain the tempo of operations with a view to destroying all remnants of the bully boyz on the fringes of Lake Chad and other areas in northern Borno.

"The sect who were supposedly in a procession, established an illegal roadblock denying motorists free passage.
" When the troops’ convoy attempted to clear the road block, they met stiff opposition from the sect.
"Members of the sect used various objects to barricade the road and also pelted the troops with stones and other dangerous items.
"They smashed both military and civilian vehicles’ windscreens and windows.
"They also attempted to overrun the escorts to cart away the ammunition and missiles the troops were escorting.
"This led to the troops opening fire to extricate themselves.
"Consequently, troops of 102 Guards Battalion in whose Area of Responsibility the incident occurred rushed to the convoy’s rescue.
"Unfortunately, during the encounter 3 members of the sect were killed while 2 soldiers sustained various degrees of injuries and are being treated at a military medical facility."
SHIITES DENY According to Daily Post, the front man of the Shiite sect, Ibrahim Musa said the Army lied to Nigerians just to justify the killing of their members.
Musa said they were on a peaceful procession when they were attacked by the Army.
The group’s front man also claims that there are video recordings of what happened.
Musa issued a statement saying "Our attention has been drawn to a false, unsubstantiated and mischievous press statement by the Nigerian army, signed by one Major General JAMES MYAM, the Commander Army Headquarters Garrison to justify the bestiality they meted the innocent, unarmed members of the Islamic Movement yesterday, while carrying out their solemn religious duty of Arbaeen mourning procession at Zuba.
"We categorically refute the storyline of the Nigerian Army. These age long worn-out malevolent storylines are no longer being believed by members of the public because over time, the Islamic Movement has convincingly demonstrated its peaceful disposition while conducting its religious obligations, even in the face of extreme official persecution.
"What was witnessed last Saturday was done in broad daylight and in full glare of the public. Video clips of both the procession prior to the unprovoked, brutal attacks and of the fierce attacks by soldiers at unarmed people scrambling for cover while the soldiers take deliberate steps to seek them and shoot them dead are all in the public domain.
"Therefore, the government and its Army cannot confuse members of the public by going further with their plans of campaign of calumny and false propaganda with a view to malign the Movement and its leadership.
"The public is led to believe that the government and its Army are resorting to these vicious campaigns in desperation. Yet, they would never wish away or bury their crimes against humanity."

The source said the air strikes targeted Houthis’ reinforcements which were on their way to the port city of Hodeidah.
Fighting also erupted between the Yemeni legitimate army and the Iranian-backed Houthi militias near the Kilo 16 highway connecting the capital Sanaa with Hodeidah, adding to the casualties among the Houthis.
A senior Yemeni military source that the militias were trying to bring in their military reinforcements to the center of the port city, adding that the Arab coalition fighter jets destroyed a number of military vehicles and equipment reinforcements that were on the way to the Houthi militias.
In another development, Tension and armed confrontations widened between the militias of Abdul Malik al-Houthi and his uncle, Abdul Azim al-Houthi, a Zaidi holy man in several areas in the governorates of Saada, Hajjah, Amran and Sanaa with both rallying their bases in many regions of Saada.

[DW] Police found wire pulled across a stretch of train tracks in Bavaria, national media reported. A conductor mistook the sound of the incident for a shorted circuit.
German media reported on Sunday that authorities in the state of Bavaria were investigating a possible attempted terror attack on a high-speed train. The incident, according to the Bild daily, involved a steel wire being pulled across the tracks.
On October 7, a conductor on a train heading south from Nuremberg and Munich heard a strange sound he attributed to a small technical glitch on the train.
Later, however, police found the wire that was stretched across the train's path and wooden wedges were placed on the tracks.
According to Bild, authorities are also in possession of a threatening letter in Arabic, which promises more attacks, and the incident occurred near a bridge with Arabic graffiti.
The newspaper did not, however, clarify if that was connected to the attempted attack on the train.

Diyala (IraqiNews.com) ‐ Two Iraqi farmers were maimed Sunday in a kaboom in northeastern Diyala province, a security source was quoted as saying.

The death raises to seven the number of Paleostinians killed as a result of Friday’s festivities when thousands again approached the border fence.
At least 214 Paleostinians have been killed by Israeli fire in months of protests and festivities along the Gazoo border.

However Ankara is bitterly opposed to the YPG, regarding it as an extension of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), which has waged a deadly insurgency in Turkey since 1984. The PKK is designated as a terror group by Turkey and its Western allies.
Washington's support of the YPG remains a major point of contention between the US and Turkey, and a large-scale offensive east of the Euphrates could aggravate already tense relations between the NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A single organization with differing goals, equipment, language, doctrine, and structure.... allies.
Turkey has also repeatedly threatened an attack on the YPG-controlled Syrian city of Manbij, where US troops are deployed.
To ease tensions, Washington and Ankara agreed to have troops conduct coordinated patrols around the city, and such a patrol went ahead on Sunday, Ottoman Turkish armed forces said.
Earlier this year, Turkey launched operation "Olive Branch" in Syria west of the Euphrates, successfully ousting YPG forces from their enclave in Afrin.
Ankara has long opposed the YPG controlling a continuous stretch of territory on its border up to Iraq, fearing the creation of an autonomous region or even independent entity that could embolden Turkey's own Kurds.

Damascus (Iraqinews.com) ‐ A Syrian family was killed Sunday in an air strike by the U.S.-led international coalition warplanes on Albu Kamal town on the Iraqi-Syrian border.
According to the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), the aerial bombardment left a five-strong family dead and caused severe damage to several buildings and property.
There were two children among the casualties.
The town of Albu Kamal, on the western bank of the Euphrates, was retaken by Syrian government forces in December.
Iraq also carries out air strikes on suspected IS Death Eaters near the border in Syria.
