[Daily Mail, where America gets its news] The son of the man expected by many to be America's next President abandoned a laptop containing a treasure trove of top-secret material, including his father's private emails and mobile phone numbers, The Mail on Sunday can reveal.
In an astonishing lapse, Hunter Biden chose to protect his MacBook Pro computer — crammed with what an IT expert last night described as a 'national security nightmare' and 'classic blackmail material' — with a single, simple password: Hunter02.
Remarkably, the 50-year-old businessman and self-confessed drug addict took the machine to a back-street IT store in Delaware in April 2019 to get it repaired — yet never returned to collect it.

It is fucking CRIMINAL that our news media have throttled any and all mention of this specimen, whom Biden calls "my beautiful son" and who was kicking back 50% of his scams and laundered money, a living breathing national security risk who flew on Air Force 2 with his corrupt dad to score deals with the CCP.
This is nothing less than criminal interference with a presidential election. Prosecute these bastards.

From the Senate Intel Committee's Grassley-Johnson report, it appears that the Biden Crime Family's "CEFC" ChiCom partners were actually PLA intelligence operatives
So add treason to the list.
Our media organizations have spiked a news story about credible evidence that a presidential candidate was taking millions from a Chinese Communist Party front group for ChiCom intelligence operations.

It’s stupid, and even more stupid because plenty of new news organizations have sprung up to supply the information ever more customers want. The broadest minded reporters have migrated to the new companies, leaving the mainstream media to go through round after round of shrinkages and layoffs.
Darwin always wins, and they are proudly choosing to lose, even as all their efforts to hide information fail spectacularly. *shrug* Can’t stop stupid from throwing itself on the ash heap of history... and all the other clichés that lot have been parroting for a century.
[IsraelTimes] Firebrand former Labour MP who caused outrage by saying the party had been “too apologetic” in handling antisemitism has called for unions to “defund and disaffiliate form the Party” after Jeremy Corbyn’s suspension.
Because suspending the Lavour party’s chief Jew-hater does not support organized Socialist workers somehow. On the other hand, an awful lot of organized workers voted Brexit and then Conservative in the last round or two, suggesting that most English labour union members don’t hold hating Jews and socialism as central to their political lives.
[GatewayPundit] Big Tech nuked her accounts for exposing the truth and for being a Trump supporter.
This is her story:
My name is Sherilynn “Cheri” Macale. I’m a former die-hard liberal progressive Democrat and “Leftist”. I’m also an Instagram influencer and recently retired model (@heycheri) who walked away from the Left after discovering the lies I’d been fed by the mainstream liberal media. These were lies that convinced me I should hate the President, believe all Republicans are racists, and that all Trump supporters are white supremacists. Now, after using my influence to speak up about the fake news diet we’ve all been steadily fed, Big Tech has banned and silenced me.

[Right Scoop] Kayleigh McEnany posted tonight about the latest example of Americans REJECTING the media-Democrat complex’s collusive manipulation. So did Dan Scavino. And President Trump had his own commentary. It was all great.
See, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and state Attorney General Keith Ellison — yes THAT Keith Ellison — in concert with press outlets full of easily-manipulated suckers like Jake Tapper and malevolent conspirators like Brianna Keilar did everything they could to prevent Trump’s crowds from hearing his remarks, showing their support, exercising their free speech, and participating in the right to peaceful protest.
[Free Beacon] A Pittsburgh, Pa., election official said Wednesday that the U.S. Postal Service has potentially lost thousands of mail-in ballots, CBS 2 Pittsburgh reported.
Leslie Osche, chair of the Butler County board of commissioners, said that, based on the number of phone calls and emails her office has received, thousands of voters have likely not yet received their mail-in ballots.
With just days until the election, her office is scrambling to get new ballots out to voters.
In the meantime, election officials have advised voters to fill out provisional ballots in-person at polling locations on Election Day.
The Postal Service said it was unaware of any delay in services and that it's working with the county board of elections to justify the problem. The Pennsylvania Department of State has asked the county and post office to investigate the error.
The possible mixup is just the latest mail-in voting problem in Pennsylvania, a battleground state in an election in which record numbers of people will vote by mail. Earlier this month, an IT outage shut down the Pennsylvania State Department website, preventing residents from registering to vote and applying for mail-in ballots. Federal investigators are also looking into an incident in Luzerne County in which nine mail-in ballots were found in a dumpster.
President Trump narrowly leads Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in Pennsylvania, according to the most recent Trafalgar Group poll.

so what judge is going down in the history books as most worthless corrupt dumb ignorant brainless useless piece of excrement and signing off on this worthless election that would cause military intervention in any real country?
[NYPOST] A second laptop belonging to Hunter Biden was taken by the feds back in February. The computer was found in the Massachusetts offices of celebrity psychiatrist Dr. Keith Ablow during a raid and seized by Drug Enforcement Administration agents, according to a new report from NBC.
Ablow’s medical license was suspended after he was accused of sexually exploiting patients and other professional misconduct. He has not been charged with a crime and has denied the allegations. No, no! Certainly not! Hunter Biden has not been the target of the search or the investigation and his lawyer ultimately got the laptop back, the network reported. It’s unclear what was on the machine or why it would have been in Ablow’s offices.
As The Post previously reported, a different Hunter Biden laptop made its way to a Delaware computer repair shop last year. The store owner later delivered its hard drive to Rudy Giuliani after he said Hunter never returned to retrieve the property.
The laptop contained a trove of emails detailing various discussions between Hunter and foreign contacts — which potentially included setting up meetings with his famous father while he was vice president.

[NYPOST] President Trump greeted hundreds of supporters gathered outside a Minnesota rally venue Friday night after Democratic state officials limited attendance to just 250 socially distanced seats.A crowd many times larger than the number of people allowed a seat near Trump gathered outside the gates in Rochester, southeastern Minnesota, images tweeted by journalists indicate.
Trump took a motorcade to the overflow crowd rather than the state-sanctioned stage after disembarking Air Force One.
"There are thousands of people all because the governor wants to play games," Trump said as he approached within feet of the large group of supporters gathered behind a barricade.
"There are thousands of people injured by this," Trump said. " I’m going to go back and speak to 250 people... This should be a lesson [for Democratic Gov. Tim Walz]."
When he walked on stage, supporters were spaced out in folding chairs permitted by Minnesota authorities before Trump’s lectern.
The president tore into Walz and Minnesota’s Democratic Attorney General Keith Ellison, a former congressman.
"We’re given a very very hard time by your so called leaders but they’re not very good leaders as you found out during the riots," Trump said.
"There are at least 25,000 people who wanted to be here tonight. We just saw a lot of them, wanted to pay our respects. They were here for a long time, they waited and waited and then the governor did bad things."

[MIAMIHERALD] Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernández Rundle wants every mail distribution center in the county to be searched for undelivered ballots, and for those ballots to be brought immediately to the Miami-Dade Elections Department ahead of the Nov. 3 election.
In a statement Friday night, the county’s top prosecutor called for action from the U.S. Postal Service after the Miami Herald reported a backlog of mail at the Princeton post office in South Miami-Dade County near Homestead.
Fernández Rundle said she was working with the elections department and the USPS inspector general’s office "to make sure that all ballots are accounted for and all votes are counted."
"I have requested that all postal distribution centers be audited and any and all ballots that may remain in these centers be immediately transported to the Department of Elections," she said. "I have offered the full resources of the State Attorney’s Elections Task Force to Elections Supervisor Cristina White and South Florida’s Special Agent in Charge of the United States Postal Inspector’s Office Antonio Gomez."

Miami-Dade State Attorney Katherine Fernández Rundle wants every mail distribution center in the county to be searched for undelivered ballots
Not so fast there, Queen Canute. Are the persons searching for the undelivered ballots the same persons responsible for the undelivered state of said ballots? We'd feel a bit more trust for these selfless, non-partisan civil servants if they weren't union members who just came out for Biden.

/\ I have attempted to mail a book to a retired SADF Sergeant Major living near Bloemfontein, for over two years. The first attempt was returned after a year as undeliverable. According to the USPS tracker, the second attempt disappeared in a NJ postal facility, never returned.

[NYPOST] Reps for President Trump’s reelection campaign and GOP pundits wasted no time ginning up outrage Friday after Joe Foreign Policy Whiz Kid Biden ...Candidate for president in 2020. Poor kids are just as bright and just as talented as white kids.... attacked a group of Trump supporters honking their car horns in protest during his Minnesota rally as "ugly folks.""Joe Biden’s staffer who tweets for him tweets about "decency" all the time. Yet when Biden speaks, he regularly insults Trump supporters," said GOP Rapid Response Director Steve Guest in a tweet. "Last week, Biden called Trump supporters "chumps," now, he calls us "ugly folks." Spare us the moral preening, Joe!"
Trump campaign director of press communications Erin Perrine added that "I’d rather be Team Ugly Folks than an anti-vaxxer" — a likely reference to many Democrats public suspicions of a potential COVID-19 vaccine that emerges during the Trump administration.
"Deplorables. Irredeemables. Ugly folks. Remember, Joe’s The "decency" candidate," added Fox News primetime host Laura Ingraham.
The "ugly folks" video was also widely disseminated by Team Trump on Twitter with appearances on the official accounts for Trump War Room and RNC Research.

[JONATHANTURLEY.ORG] We previously discussed the effort at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to have the famous statue of Abraham Lincoln removed as racist. The student government has now voted unanimously in favor of a resolution that calls for the removal of the Abraham Lincoln statue on campus. The students declared that the president who signed the Emancipation Proclamation, advocated for the 13th Amendment, and led the war against the South and slavery was "not pro-Black" and a "remnant of White Supremacy." That would likely have come as something of a surprise to John Wilkes Booth.
One issue that was raised by student is that Lincoln ordered the execution of 38 Dakota men and signed the Homestead Act, which gave settlers land forcibly taken from Native Americans.
As I previously discussed, Lincoln’s role in the Dakota executions is legitimately controversial but has been presented without some countervailing facts. The Sioux or Dakota uprising occurred not long after Minnesota became a state and involved the death of hundreds of settlers. The Army crushed the Sioux and captured hundreds. A military tribunal sentenced 303 to death for alleged crimes against civilians and other crimes. The trial itself was a farce with no real representation or reliable evidence. Lincoln reviewed the transcripts of the 303 and told the Senate:
"Anxious to not act with so much clemency as to encourage another outbreak on one hand, nor with so much severity as to be real cruelty on the other, I ordered a careful examination of the records of the trials to be made, in view of first ordering the execution of such as had been proved guilty of violating females."
However, a clean conscience makes a soft pillow... only two men were found guilty of rape and Lincoln later expanded the criteria to include those who participated in "massacres" of civilians as opposed to battles with the Army.
Lincoln however commuted the sentence of 264 of the 303 convicted.
This is not the first time Lincoln has faced the ire of some in Wisconsin. When Lincoln called the nation to war against the South, many in Wisconsin did not support the cause and rioted against Lincoln. Ultimately, however, Wisconsin sent multiple regiments who fought valiantly in the War and sacrificed much to defeat both the South and slavery.
Having a statue to a leader like Lincoln is not an endorsement of his entire legacy. I have heavily criticized Lincoln for the unconstitutional suspension of habeas corpus and the loss of free speech rights as well as other decisions. We learn from such public memorials, which can be augmented with a more full historical context and criticism. However, a clean conscience makes a soft pillow... to say that Lincoln is a symbol of white supremacy ...the pernicious doctrine that laws were intended to be obeyed, that society works better when people don't pour shreiking from their places of worship every Friday for a weekend of rioting over insults real or imagined; and that cannibalism, beastiality, incest, murder, theft, rape, and similar activities are bad. A Dead White European (which invalidates his opinion) philosopher once opined that societies thrive when a person's word can be relied upon, and that a society which puts individual happiness first will invariably fail. Strangely enough, other successful societies, such as China, Japan, Korea, and those kinds of places could also be lumped with white supremacist societies, since they push the same values... ignores his pivotal role in fighting slavery, a cause for which he would ultimately give his own life.

I'm not sure they get a lot of attention, and that probably rankles. So they say insane things.
True, I haven't looked at the student newspapers in some years (one was heavily left of center, the other straight-up marxist), but I doubt things have changed much.

FWIW, there was a bit of a movement against the federal government's Fugitive Slave Act in Wisconsin back in the day.

Lincoln did not attack the South because of slavery or to "free the slaves". That is the nonsense that is forced down our throats in government schools, or at least a big part of it.

There goes Clem. The 13th Amendment says it all. Period. Wring your hands all you want.
Buried in the history books, is that the state of Kentucky declared its neutrality in the matter. That wasn't good enough for the Confederacy. Playing the victim is so late 20th and early 21st Century.
Almost as bad as those evil racist Californians - two-thirds of whom are foreign-born or descended from Asians or Latin Americans or other third-world nations - who, the California governor now says, need to pay reparations for slavery.
Which never existed anywhere close to California.

Civil War was not started over slavery. "My policy sought only to collect the Revenue (a 40 percent federal sales tax on imports to Southern States under the Morrill Tariff Act of 1861)." reads paragraph 5 of Lincoln's First Message to the U.S. Congress, penned July 4, 1861.
"I have no purpose, directly or in-directly, to interfere with the institution of slavery in the States where it exists. I believe I have no lawful right to do so, and I have no inclination to do so," Lincoln said it his first inaugural on March 4 of the same year.

Didn't the Confederate states withdrew from the Union because they felt Lincoln was going to end Slavery? If so I'm not sure it matters what Lincoln actually thought. The Confederate States wanted to protect states rights, specifically the right to own slaves.
#16
rjschwarz no. The Republican platform included the 40% tariff which would have bankrupted many Southerners. They also didn't like that they were paying 80% of the money going to government coffers while receiving only a pittance in return. When someone told Lincoln that maybe they should let the South go he said, "Let the South go! My god, man, who would pay our tariffs?" The primary reason was money.

Lincoln did not claim slavery was a reason even in his Emancipation Proclamations on Sept. 22, 1862, and Jan. 1, 1863. Moreover, Lincoln's proclamations exempted a million slaves under his control from being freed (including General U.S. Grant's slave) and offered the South three months to return to the Union (pay 40 percent sales tax) and keep their slaves. None did. Lincoln affirmed his only reason for issuing was: "as a fit and necessary war measure for suppressing said (tax) rebellion."

Abe "Habeas Corpus" Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation only freed slaves in the Confederacy, not in the "Union":
