I think today I'm gonna restrict my reading to Asmodeus. All these legal wranglings and election shenanigans are too much for my heart. Can't even watch Fox, can't even watch Tucker Carlson these days. I did, however, contribute to the President's legal defense.

[ToloNews] Gen. Yasin Zia, Chief of Army Staff, who is in south of the country following an increase in Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... attacks, said on Thursday that more al-Qaeda members have been killed in operations by Afghan National Defense and Security Forces in a Taliban-influenced area in Farah province in the last few days.
"The Taliban still have close coordination and conduct operations with other terrorist organizations including al-Qaeda," Zia said. "Recently you saw that the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces killed a top al-Qaeda leader in Ghazni. Recently, we also launched an operation in a Taliban-influenced area between Nimroz and Farah provinces and killed several al-Qaeda members."
This comes a day after Taliban front man in Doha rejected al-Qaeda presence in Afghanistan weeks after the Afghan cops during an operation killed a big shot of the network Abu Mohsin al-Misri in a Taliban-influenced area in Andar district of central Ghazni province.
"Right now, there is no al-Qaeda presence in Afghanistan," Naeem said in an interview with TOLOnews.
On February 29, the Taliban sealed a peace agreement with the US in Doha based on which, the group committed not to allow any terror group including al-Qaeda to operate on Afghan soil or stage attacks against other countries including the US.
Experts said that in the US-Taliban peace agreement, it has not been explained that what an approach the US will adopt towards the Taliban if the Taliban continue its relations with al-Qaeda.
"There are serious shortcomings in their agreement including sufficient guarantees. We don't know whether the Taliban will be committed to their assurances to cut their ties with al-Qaeda and other groups. Also the message that is conveyed by Americans regarding this issue is vague," said Omar Sadr, a university lecturer.
"The presence of al-Qaeda and other groups in Afghanistan certainly poses a threat to Afghanistan’s future. al-Qaeda and groups like them would not be involved in a grinding of the peace processor, which means if there is a peace deal, these groups would still be there, they would still be in a position to fight, they would still be in a position to provide arms and other support," Afghanistan affairs analyst Michael Goleman said.
The Afghan government has also confirmed that imported muscle are still fighting against the Afghan forces alongside the Taliban.
"The Taliban along other terrorist groups including al-Qaeda are continuing their operations. The Afghan cops killed an al-Qaeda criminal mastermind in Ghazni. Few days back, several al-Qaeda affiliates were eliminated in a Taliban-influenced area between Nimroz and Farah," presidential front man Sediq Sediqqi said
According to the Afghan government, imported muscle are fighting Afghan forces in Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... , Badakhshan and Ghazni provinces.
[ToloNews] Gen. Yasin Zia, Chief of Army Staff on Thursday said that the Afghan cops have cleared Zherai and Panjwai districts of the Taliban ...Arabic for students... Officials from the Ministry of Defense said that the military operation will continue in those districts to help displaced families to repatriate safety to their homes.
"The Taliban wanted to create chaos and horror in suburbs of Kandahar city. They used civilians as shield like what they do during their suicide kabooms. First they appeared in Arghandab’s green belt and did not allow the people to come out of their homes, therefore our operation moved slowly," said General Zia.
"In joint cooperation and coordination between the national police and the national army and rest of the security agencies, we managed to recapture all fallen areas," said colonel Amanullah, the commander of Afghan Army Brigade in Panjwai.
Two week back the Taliban launched a major offensive on Panjwai, Arghandab and Zherai districts.
Panjwai was one of the safest districts in the southern region of the country. The Taliban attacked Panjwai after nine years.
"Our national and local police forces made tactical retreat. We are on defensive status now," said Janan, a member of Afghan local police.
Panjwai once was one of the strongholds of the Taliban in Kandahar. Reports say that shops and businesses are still closed in the district.
"The festivities started at 1:30 and continued till 4:00pm, but now I don’t know about the scale of the conflicts," said Abdul Hai, a resident in Panjwayee.
As well as last month, the Taliban launched an attack on outskirts of Lashkargah city, the center of the southern province of Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... . The attack on Lashkargah left thousands of people homeless.
The Afghan forces later on retook the fallen checkpoints.
[KhaamaPress] The Ministry of Defense reported, AAF conducted an operation in Kandahar Province, 13 Taliban ...the Pashtun equivalent of men... fighters have reportedly been killed in the Arclight airstrike ...KABOOM!... s.
The ministry says in a blurb on Wednesday, that the operation took place in the Panjwai district.
The airstrikes also destroyed a large amount of Taliban weapons and ammunition depots, the statement reads.
MOD indicates all of the Death Eater’s attacks restrained threats to provincial collapse into the hands of the Taliban.
The southern province of Kandahar is evident to heavy festivities between Talibs and the Afghan government in the past weeks.
According to reports, in the past few days, the Taliban have suffered heavy casualties in Arghandab and Zheray districts of Kandahar province.
[KhaamaPress] Abdullah Jan, a Taliban ...Arabic for students... commander, was killed along with eight of his fighters in the Nawa district of Helmand ...an Afghan province populated mostly by Pashtuns, adjacent to Injun country in Pak Balochistan... Province.
During the reciprocal operations, security forces defused 28 Improvised Explosive Devices placed on public places.
Meanwhile, ...back at the railroad tracks, Little Nell tried to kick her bound feet and scream post the snotty handkerchief Scarface Al had stuff into her mouth... the Ministry of Defense reported, three Talibs were killed and five others were maimed in the Gizab district of Uruzgan Province, during ANDSF’s reciprocal attacks. Much of the weapons and ammunition belonging to the group were also destroyed.

[ToloNews] 13 coppers, including key security officials were arrested and referred to the court over the Kabul University attack, said the Kabul police front man, Ferdaws Faramarz.
The police chief and head of police intelligence department of PD3 and head of the security department of the Kabul University are among the arrested officials and referred to the court over "negligence" in ensuring the security of University, said Faramarz.
On Monday, at least 22 people were killed and over 40 others were maimed after two button men attacked Kabul University which was ended after six hours festivities.
In total, 18 students, 16 students from the Public Administration Faculty and two of them from the Law Faculty, bit the dust in the attack.
The attackers had military uniforms, eyewitnesses said.
ISIS has grabbed credit for the blast.
But First Vice President Amrullah Saleh blamed the Taliban ...mindless ferocity in a turban... for the Kabul University attack and said there are many evidences to prove his claim.
Giving details about his daily morning meetings with security officials, Saleh said the weapons used by the attackers do not match the weapons shown by "fake" ISIS statement in which they grabbed credit for the attack.
Saleh said the two men shown in "fake" ISIS statement do not resemble the "terrorists" killed in Kabul University attack.
He also said that the Taliban flag was also found in a box belonged to the "terrorists." He added that the last words they wrote on the walls of the classrooms were "long live Taliban."

[Libya Observer] Clashes erupted Wednesday in Tarhouna after Libyan Army forces under the Government of National Accord raided locations of gangs that are practicing torture, extorting and kidnap, a source from the raiding brigade (444) said.Brigade 444 said it was carrying out an operation in Tarhouna as per General Prosecutor’s orders to arrest four people over kidnap and torture as well as extortion of families whose sons were fighting for al-Kani militias of Khalifa Haftar ...Self-proclaimed Field Marshal, served in the Libyan army under Muammar Qadaffy, and took part in the coup that brought Qadaffy to power in 1969. He became a prisoner of war in Chad in 1987. While held prisoner, he and his fellow officers formed a group hoping to overthrow Qadaffy, so it's kind of hard to describe him as a Qadaffy holdover. He was released around 1990 in a deal with the United States government and spent nearly two decades in the United States, gaining US citizenship. In 1993, while living in the United States, he was convicted in absentia of crimes against the Jamahiriya and sentenced to death. Haftar held a senior position in the anti-Qadaffy forces in the 2011 Libyan Civil War. In 2014 he was commander of the Libyan Army when the General National Congress (GNC) refused to give up power in accordance with its term of office. Haftar launched a campaign against the GNC and its Islamic fundamentalist allies. His campaign allowed elections to take place to replace the GNC, but then developed into a civil war. Guess you can't win them all. Actually, he is, but slowly... in the war on Tripoli ...a confusing city, one end of which is located in Lebanon and the other end of which is the capital of Libya. Its chief distinction is being mentioned in the Marine Hymn... The source said the gangs rejected handing in the four wanted persons, which led to the raid that ended with detaining several of the button men as others fled the city.
Meanwhile, ...back at the wreckage, Captain Poindexter awoke groggily, his hand still stuck in the Ming vase... a source from Misrata said the joint operations force ambushed the fleeing button men in Zlitin and detained a number of them with their weapons and vehicles.
These gangs are from Tarhouna and they were outside the city when al-Kani militias were in control as they were subject to kidnap and extortion as well as killing at the time.
When the war on Tripoli by Haftar broke, these gangs fought against al-Kani militias and Haftar's forces and helped GNA forces to recapture the city of Tarhouna. They were allowed to join peacekeeping forces in the city provided that they avoided vendetta, the source explained.

[AlAhram] 'One can see that all are to be linked to the radical Islamist milieu,' Public Security Director Franz Ruf told a news conference.
All 15 people arrested in connection with a deadly rampage in Vienna on Monday are part of the radical Islamist scene and just under half have criminal convictions, some for terrorism offences, Interior Ministry officials said on Thursday.
[ARABNEWS] A teenager has been charged in the southern French city of Marseille with supporting terrorism for remarks he made during a homage for murdered teacher Samuel Paty, a prosecutor said Thursday.
The 14-year old boy, an Afghan national, openly welcomed the killing in class, saying he "would have done the same," the La Provence newspaper reported.
The teenager had been released after questioning but will remain under supervision, Marseille prosecutor Dominique Laurens told AFP.
Marseille has clocked up seven such school-related incidents this week, the head of the region’s education authority Bernard Beignier told La Provence.
Three of them were believed to involve the "justification of a terrorist act."
Paty was beheaded near his school outside Gay Paree last month by an 18-year-old Chechen man after an angry online campaign over him showing cartoons mocking the Prophet Muhammad as part of a free-speech lesson.
On Tuesday, prosecutors in the eastern city of Strasbourg opened an inquiry into two 12-year-olds over comments made during a national homage to Paty, suggesting that the teacher had got what he deserved.
They added that two similar incidents were also reported involving children aged eight and nine, prompting a social welfare inquiry.
Interior minister Gerald Darmanin told politicians this week that 66 inquires into alleged support of terrorism had been opened since Paty’s death, often involving "young people, aged 12 to 16."
All these yoots make undesirable citizens. It’s time to throw them back to wherever they or their ancestors came from.

[STARTRIBUNE] Law enforcement officials arrested more than 600 people after protesters blocked Interstate 94 in Minneapolis late Wednesday and early Thursday. The Minnesota Department of Public Safety (DPS) said the arrests by State Patrol troopers and city police were necessary to clear the interstate of a people who stopped freeway traffic.
"No force or chemicals were used, and no protesters or law enforcement officers were maimed during the incident," the DPS said in a statement issued Thursday.
Marchers gathered early Wednesday evening for a protest, led by multiple local organizations, dubbed "Don't Let Trump Steal the Election." Marchers went from downtown streets to I-94, where they caused closure of the freeway from Interstate 35W east to Hwy. 280. The interstate was cleared and reopened at 1:23 a.m. Thursday, the DPS said.
The agency said 646 people were cited, arrested and released. Six vehicles were towed.
"State law makes it illegal for pedestrians, bicyclists or other nonmotorized traffic to be on a freeway. In addition, walking on the freeway is very dangerous for pedestrians and drivers, especially after dark," the DPS statement said.

[DAILYTIMES.PK] Security guard Ahmad Nawaz shot Malik Imran Hanif, branch manager of National Bank of Pakistain, Qaedabad, Khushab, accusing him of blasphemy ...the act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence to a deity, or sacred objects, or toward something considered sacred or inviolable. Some religions consider it to be a crime. In Pakistain you can commit blasphemy by looking cross-eyed at a Koran... Ahmad Nawaz attempted to kill Malik Imran after a heated argument.
Malik Imran Hanif was taken to a local hospital in a critical condition, and is reportedly being shifted to Lahore due to the severity of his wounds.
Sources claim that the security guard had been fired from his job a few months earlier, but was rehired, however his behavior with coworkers was not appropriate. Guard Ahmad Nawaz did not have a good working relationship with the manager, and got into a heated argument with him a few days earlier.
Nawaz shot the manager as he reached the bank early morning on Wednesday. He claims to have done it over an alleged blasphemy committed by Imran Hanif, however coworkers and police sources suspect that the motive was the security guard’s personal grudge.
Several videos surfaced the social media after the incident took place. The security guard can be seen rejoicing over his act as a cheering mob greets him with slogans of appreciation.
In another video, the guard is seen at the roof of the local cop shoppe, waving to the crowd of supporters gathered on ground, clapping and chanting "behead those who insult the Prophet".
The victim’s family sources have claimed that the guard committed the heinous act to settle his personal vendetta and is now using the blasphemy card to justify it. Imran Hanif’s uncle shared a video message saying that his family is a lover of the Holy Prophet and are Moslems, the security guard has turned a personal issue into a blasphemy case to justify his action.

[Jpost] IDF soldiers neutralized an armed man who is suspected of attempting to commit a terrorist attack near Shomron Junction on Wednesday morning, according to the IDF.
No soldiers were maimed and an investigation of the details of the event is ongoing.
[IsraelTimes] Military says suspect drove up to Hawara checkpoint and opened fire; Paleostinians identify him as a captain in the Preventative Security Forces, say he was executed.
The Israel Defense Forces said on Wednesday morning that a member of the Paleostinian Authority’s security services shot up troops in the northern West Bank and was rubbed out by Israeli forces.
Though not unprecedented, it is highly unusual for members of Paleostinian security forces, which often coordinate closely with the IDF and other Israeli defense agencies, to carry out attacks against Israeli troops and civilians.
"IDF soldiers who were at a military post near the southern exit of the city of Nablus responded with fire after a terrorist armed with a pistol arrived from the direction of the city and shot at them from his vehicle," the IDF said in a statement.
The military initially said that the assailant was "neutralized" and later confirmed that this meant he was killed.
The Paleostinian Authority official WAFA news agency named him as 29-year-old Bilal Adnan Rawajbeh. Rawajbeh, a resident of Nablus-area village Araq al-Tayeh, was a legal adviser with the rank of captain in the Paleostinian Preventative Security Forces, one of the PA’s most powerful intelligence organizations.
It appeared as though the pistol used belonged to the Paleostinian security service as well.
According to WAFA, Rawajbeh was fired upon by Israeli troops "at point blank range... while he was passing through the checkpoint." The PA official news source called his death "an execution."
A spokesperson for the PA security services did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The IDF staunchly denied this account, saying Rawajbeh had shot up the Golani Brigade soldiers from inside his vehicle at a junction south of Nablus.
"The car with the assailant came from the city, turned left at the roundabout, and opened fire toward the [soldier’s] position. The commander of the troops responded quickly and fired his weapon. Immediately afterward, two soldiers at the bus stop ran over and joined the incident, opening fire at the assailant. The assailant was struck by a number of bullets," said Lt. Col. Shahar Barkai, the commander of the soldiers’ unit, the Golani Brigade’s Barak Battalion.
The Paleostinian Red Islamic Thingy said in a statement that the IDF kept its medics from accessing the scene and providing first aid to Rawajbeh after he was shot. The IDF typically ensures that a suspect does not have an explosive vest or otherwise presents a threat before allowing civilian medics to treat them.
Video footage posted to social media appeared to show an IDF soldier approaching the suspect’s vehicle at the Hawara checkpoint and firing toward it. The footage seemed not to show the initial attack.
The incident came days after Israeli troops opened fire on a Paleostinian car after a homemade bomb was thrown from the vehicle at a junction manned by soldiers in the central West Bank, the army said.
"The soldiers blocked the road to stop the terrorist cell. The car accelerated in their direction and the fighters responded by firing at the terrorists," a statement from the IDF said, adding that the car was hit by bullets.
Paleostinian media reported that three people in the car were maimed during the incident, which took place overnight Thursday near the West Bank city of Jenin.
