Afghanistan
Cash Assistance to Afghanistan Leaps to $1.673 Billion
[Khaama (Afghanistan)] The Central Bank of Afghanistan stated on Tuesday that a new package of $40 million had arrived in Kabul, taking the total amount of cash assistance from the international community to Afghanistan since the installation of the country’s new administration to $1.673 billion.

According to the Central Bank of Afghanistan, also known as Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB), these cash assistance packages have been deposited in a commercial bank in Kabul, the Afghan capital, as part of humanitarian aid to the country.

The DAB records show that since the new administration took control in Afghanistan in mid-August last year, the total amount of cash assistance from the international community has exceeded $1.673 billion in 18 packages of $40 million and over 30 packages of $32 million each.

Despite the arrival of the packages poverty, hunger, and unemployment remain at all-time highs in Afghanistan, magnified by natural disasters that exacerbate the country’s people to experience one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.

The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction (SIGAR) previously accused the Biden administration of impeding investigations into $1.1 billion in aid to Afghanistan and concealing information.

According to SIGAR, a watchdog known for sharp criticism of excessive US funding in Afghanistan, inquiries involving $1.1 billion in humanitarian aid used “to support the Afghan people since the Taliban’s takeover” have been shunned by the Biden administration.

The US State Department’s spokesperson, Ned Price, responded to the US special inspector’s remarks by claiming that Sapko’s scope of duty does not include investigating and inquiring into Afghan humanitarian aid.

AU: Al-Shabaab facing imminent defeat in Somalia
[Garowe] The African Union

to bomb innocent civilians are triggered by the fact they have lost grip of their traditional strongholds, following a crackdown instigated by the Somali National Army [SNA] and their allies.

While condemning Sunday's al-Shabaab attack in Villa Rays Hotel in Mogadishu, the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia [ATMIS] insisted the murderous Moslems are facing imminent defeat thus "reckless and cowardly" attacks targeting innocent civilians across the country.

The ATMIS team lauded the Somali National Army [SNA] for its spirited operation against the murderous Moslems across the country, which acknowledged support from the local militia who have equally played an indispensable role in neutralizing the Death Eaters.

"The barbaric attacks and sieges show that the snuffies have broken into the battlefields where the visiting Somali security forces continue to inflict heavy losses and recapture many areas that were previously occupied by the terrorists. have," said the Special Envoy of the Chairperson of the African Union Council and Head of ATMIS, Ambassador Mohammed al-Amin Seyf.

He added,: "These kinds of hostile attacks against innocent people once again underline the need for strong action against terrorism."

Ambassador Seyf praised the Somali security forces who fought hard to protect the lives of the people in the Villa Rays Hotel and sent his deepest condolences to the families of those who bit the dust. He wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Across the borders, Djibouti President Ismail Omar Guelleh, whose country is part of the Troops Contributing Countries [TCC], also condemned the al-Shabaab attack at Villa Rays Hotel in Mogadishu, which left eight civilians and one security officer dead.

"We strongly condemn last night’s terrorist attack on the Villa Rose Hotel in Mogadishu," he said.

"This new outburst of violence is an abject reprehension of snuffies targeting innocent civilians, in the wake of bitter failures encountered on the ground, the continuation of combined offensives by armed and lively forces of the Somali sister nation."

Somalia has been battling al-Shabaab for the last four months in what Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre says has left over 500 murderous Moslems dead and several others injured.

This year alone, the United Nations

Middle East stability cannot be achieved unless Palestinian cause is comprehensibly settled: Egypt FM
Apparently yesterday was the International Day of Solidarity with the Paleos, and naturally the government of Egypt had to spout the usual platitudes, however untrue they know them to be. Here are a few, with more at the link.
[AlAhram] Egypt has affirmed that regional stability in the Middle East cannot be achieved unless the Paleostinian cause is settled in a just and comprehensive way on the basis of the two-state solution and the relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

Egypt marked on Tuesday the International Day of Solidarity with the Paleostinian People, which the UN General Assembly calls for observing on 29 November every year since 1978.

The 29 November date is of significance to the Paleostinian people, for on that day, in 1947, the UNGA adopted the Partition Plan of Paleostine, Resolution 181, which endorsed establishing an Arab state and a Jewish state in historic Paleostine.

"Egypt marks this day in solidarity with the steadfast people of Paleostine and in confirmation of the existence of the Paleostinian cause alive in international forums and in the global conscience," the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement on Tuesday.

The ministry stressed that such global conscience stands in support of the Paleostinian people in their just and legitimate demands as well as in support of their right to establish their independent state.

"The Paleostinian cause will always remain the Arab’s top issue. As part of their historical responsibility, Egypt's government and its people remain constantly supportive of the Paleostinian cause as the central issue of the Arab world," the statement added.

The ministry also affirmed that Egypt will exert every effort until the Paleostinian people obtain their legitimate right in establishing their independent state.

"The constants of the Egyptian position toward the Paleostinian cause has not and will not change, and [Egypt’s] commitment to the cause of Paleostine, the Paleostinian people, and Jerusalem and its al-Aqsa mosque is an authentic commitment," the ministry said.

Egypt also stresses the necessity to put an end to the cycle of violence in the occupied Paleostinian territories and to stop the unilateral measures that undermine fair and final settlement efforts, the ministry said.

The most significant among these unilateral measures include conducting illegitimate settlement activities, evicting and evacuating Paleostinians in the city of Jerusalem, changing the demographic nature of the city, and dividing al-Aqsa Mosque and its vicinity both temporally and spatially, the ministry stressed.

"Egypt, based on its historical responsibility and commitment to uphold the inalienable rights of the Paleostinian people, will continue to exert its tireless and sincere efforts to resume the grinding of the peace processor and encourage the parties to come back to the negotiations table with the support of the international community and partners," the ministry added.

#1  I think the headline was meant to say "comprehensively", but now that I think about is "comprehensibly" works just fine.

#2  If every Palestinian were loaded up on a bus and driven into Egyptian Sinai, that would comprehensibly settle the issue.

Caucasian scholars argue about the connections of a murder victim in Grozny with ISIS
Direct Translation via Google Translate. Edited.
[KavkazUzel] The man who killed the security official in Grozny hardly acted alone, and it is logical to consider the photo with the IS flag as a sign of connection with this organization, Akhmet Yarlykapov pointed out. The connection of the security official who attacked with ISIS is doubtful, otherwise he would have mentioned this organization on his dying audio recording, objected Aleksey Malashenko.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 21, a man was shot dead in the center of Grozny, who attacked a traffic police officer with a knife and then tried to escape with his service weapon. According to Ramzan Kadyrov , the policeman left for ablution in the prayer room, where he was mortally wounded.

Pakistan's support for Afghan Taliban dwindles amid increasing Durand Line tensions
[ANI] The honeymoon period between Pakistain and the Afghan Taliban
...mindless ferocity in a turban...
is over as Islamabad is facing an emerging security situation in border provinces and an assertive Taliban, which is unwilling to accept any 'one-sided' change in the status quo ante on the Durand Line issue.

Pakistain has been an ardent advocate of engagement with the Afghan Taliban government. In fact, Islamabad celebrated the arrival of Taliban 2.0 on the Kabul scene as a step closer to its goal of 'strategic depth' beyond the Durand Line that divides the two countries, reported policy research group, Poreg.

Iraq
Iraq to deploy two joint brigades on the borders with Iran
[Shafaq News] On Monday, an Iraqi official revealed that two new military brigades of the Iraqi and Kurdish forces are formed to protect the boundaries of the Kurdistan Region with Iran.

The deputy-chairman of the security and defense parliamentary committee, Sagvan Sindi, told Shafaq News agency, "The two military brigades are composed of the people of the Kurdistan Region and would be funded from the federal budget."

Sindi pointed out that the brigades will deploy on the borders soon.

Earlier, the Ministerial Council for Iraqi National Security decided to deploy Border Guard forces from the Iraqi army and the Peeshmergs on the borders to stop the Iranian missiles and drones inside Kurdistan.

Earlier this month, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) attacked positions in northern Iraq held by Kurdish groups with missiles and drones.

IRCG said the attacks inflicted "heavy damage" on two Kurdish groups that Tehran considers "terrorist" organizations.

The latest Iranian attack comes days after the IRGC's Quds Force commander, Esmail Qaani, traveled to Iraq for high-level meetings and after repeated warnings by Tehran to Baghdad to disarm or relocate the groups.

[FoxNews] an encrypted telephone interview with Fox News Digital Monday, an Iranian woman who called herself "Mahoora" and lives in southern Iran, said, "It's not just some people in Iran, it is the majority of people in Iran that want the U.S. to win (on Tuesday). The silent majority [of Iranians] did not celebrate the regime team’s victory over Wales."

Celebrations occurred in many districts of Tehran, the capital of Iran, as well as the highly populated cities of Mashhad, Isfahan and Karaj.

#3  Do you really believe only Kurdish Iranian resent living in a totalitarian Muslim state, Aca Joe? This is the second or third time in recent years that Iran has been riven by mass protests, and most of the protesters have been Medes and Persians, not Kurds. Iran’s under-25s are well educated but massively underemployed, heavily using drugs to kill time and the women prostituting themselves just to make a little money because the Mad Mullahs’ government has been under international sanctions for exporting their Muslim revolution since shortly after they overthrew the Shah in 1979. They aren't just living worse than their parents, but their parents have been living worse than their own parents, and the kids are highly aware of the fact, having watched Mom sell off the family treasures bit by bit over the years to put some food on the table.

But thank you for that Redacted. It’s nice to see you exercise at least some part of the exquisite manners your mother worked so hard to instill in you.
