Two roadside kabooms went kaboom! in the restive northern Sinai Peninsula killing three members of Egypt’s security forces and wounding 10 others, officials said Friday.
The bombs went off near separate checkpoints in the town of Sheikh Zuweid late Thursday, said two security officials and a medical official, who asked to remain anonymous because they were not authorized to brief the media.
The officials didn’t say who was responsible for the attacks and no one immediately grabbed credit, but Egypt has been battling an Islamic State-led insurgency in the Sinai that intensified after the military overthrew an Islamist president in 2013.
The bandidosLions of Islam have carried out scores of attacks, mainly targeting security forces and minority Christians.
The first explosion Thursday night left one dead and seven maimed, while the second killed two and maimed three, the officials said. The casualties were transferred to El-Arish military hospital.
Also on Thursday, the Egyptian military carried out a series of raids in the same town killing four krazed killers, officials said. It wasn’t clear if the raids took place before or after the bombings.
The conflict in Sinai has largely taken place out of public view, with journalists and outside observers barred from the area. The fighting has so far not expanded into the southern end of the peninsula, where popular Red Sea tourist resorts are located.
In February 2018, the military launched a massive operation in Sinai that also encompassed parts of the Nile Delta and deserts along the country’s western border with Libya. Since then, the pace of Islamic State attacks in Sinai’s north has diminished.

In March 2011, al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula declared the governate an Islamic Emirate after seizing control of the region. The New York Times fastidiously reported that those in control, while Islamic hard boyz, are not in fact al-Qaeda, but something else that looks, tastes, smells, and acts the same. Yemeni government forces launched an effort to re-establish control of the region when President-for-Life Saleh was tossed and the carnage continues... , and moving them to their elected positions," the statement read.
The new government includes ministers loyal to President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi and supporters of the secessionist STC, as well as other parties, a government official told AFP.

[Jpost] Four people have been arrested in La Belle France as part of an investigation into a knife attack in Gay Paree on Sept. 25, a judicial source said on Friday.
The source told Rooters that one of those held has been charged with a terrorism-related offense and placed in jug in the southwestern Gironde region.
On Sept. 25, a stabbing in which two journalists were maimed took place in Gay Paree's rue Nicolas-Appert, where Islamist gunnies killed 12 people in the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo ...A lefty French satirical magazine, home of what may well be the majority if the active testicles left in Europe... five years ago.
The main suspect in the attack was an 18-year-old man from Pakistain. Police arrested him soon after the stabbing.
That’d be 18 year old Ali No Last Name, who arrived in France three years earlier as a refugee, and was known to police.
French daily Le Gay Pareeien reported on Friday that the four detained people of Pak origin had allegedly encouraged the attacker to act.
Several attacks in recent months, including the beheading of a teacher who had shown his class caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad, have prompted the French government to take action against Islamist "separatism."
[AnNahar] A court in Denmark on Friday ordered a Danish national facing terror charges on suspicion of having fought alongside the Islamic State ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that they were al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're really very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear western pols talk they're not really Moslems.... group in Syria held in pre-trial custody until Jan. 6.
The 32-year-old man was arrested Thursday when he arrived in Copenhagen having been extradited from The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... . The Copenhagen police said he had been in jug since he was arrested on an international warrant in January by Ottoman Turkish authorities.
Police did not give the man's name, but Danish media widely identified him as Jacob El-Ali, who has a Lebanese-Paleostinian background.
Possibly he grew up in Ein el-Hellhole or one of the other “refugee camps” mostly inhabited by non-Palestinians nowadays.
The suspect has been sought since December 2014 for supporting terrorism after he posted photos of himself standing with severed heads and praised the Islamic State group. In October of the following year, he was also suspected of promoting terrorism for allegedly having fought for the Islamic State group and for having planned a trip to Syria for at least one other person.
On Friday, he was charged with having been recruited himself and attempting to recruit several other people to join the Moslem bully boys. Danish media said he pleaded not guilty "Wudn't me." but admitted having been in Syria. He also has claimed that he was a spy there for the Syrians.
If found guilty, he faces up to six years in prison.
[AlAhram] The Ottoman Turkish consular official, a Greek national employed with the Ottoman Turkish consulate on the island of Rhodes, and a second Greek national were arrested on Friday.
Police in Greece have detained a Ottoman Turkish consular official on suspicion of spying, a senior Greek source said on Friday, in a case likely to further strain troubled relations between the two NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. A single organization with differing goals, equipment, language, doctrine, and structure.... allies.
The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor... 's foreign ministry swiftly condemned the arrest, saying it violated the consular official's rights.
The official, a Greek national employed with the Ottoman Turkish consulate on the island of Rhodes, was arrested on Friday after being questioned a week ago. A second Greek national was also arrested.
"One person was working at the Ottoman Turkish consulate in Rhodes and the second man worked on a passenger ship which was operating the Rhodes-Kastelorizo line as a cook," a police official told Rooters.
Kastelorizo is a small Greek island just off the Ottoman Turkish coast.
Turkey's foreign affairs ministry said the consulate worker was a secretary at its Rhodes representation.
"In the process that led to the arrest of our employee, who holds Greek nationality, Greece violated his freedom, security and respect for private and family rights in the framework of the European Convention of Human Rights and Vienna Convention on Consular Relations," the ministry said.
One of the suspects was accused of photographing movements of Greek armed forces in the Aegean Sea. Greek media have reported that both individuals are members of Greece's Moslem minority based in the north of the country and that they had been under surveillance for several months.
Greece and Turkey have long running tensions, ranging from the divided island of Cyprus to exploration rights in the Aegean and Mediterranean Sea. Tensions flared in August when Turkey sent a seismic exploration vessel into waters claimed by Greece.

Only time will tell if Acting President Harris will do a Hillary on the ANTI-FArt/BLOM leadership, like Hitler did in 1934 with his version called the "Brown Shirts".
[Rudaw] A journalist for the pro-Kurdish Mezopotamya News Agency (MA) was detained on Thursday for allegedly covering the story of two Kurdish men thrown out of a helicopter in September.
The arrest follows the imprisonment of several other MA journalists in recent months.
Zeynep Durgut and her colleague Azad Kaya, as well as Rojda Aydin and Derya Renwere, from the all-women outlet JinNews, were arrested on Thursday in the Kurdish-majority province of Sirnak in southeast The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...Qatar's satrapy in Asia Minor... , MA reported on Friday.
The journalists were held at police gunpoint at the entrance to the district, according to the agency. Durgut was handcuffed and taken to Sirnak provincial police department, while the others were "insulted by police" before being released.
MA claimed that Durgut was detained due to her coverage of an incident in Van province where two Kurdish villagers were thrown out of a helicopter by Ottoman Turkish security forces during an operation against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) on September 11.
One villager Servet Turgut, died of his injuries on September 30.
Correspondents from MA and JinNews have previously been arrested over their coverage of the incident, imprisoned in October for "reporting subversive social events."
MA’s office in Van was raided and their equipment and materials were seized, it added on Friday.

The drone reportedly landed in the area of Kafr Qaddum in the northern West Bank, where festivities between Paleostinian protesters and IDF troops were taking place. It was reportedly found and smashed by several rioters.
[ENGLISH.ALARABIYA.NET] Syrian fighters backed by The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the only place on the face of the earth that misses the Ottoman Empire... waged battles on Friday against Kurdish forces near the town of Ain Issa in northern Syria, where Russian and Ottoman Turkish troops jointly patrol a key highway.
Ottoman Turkish forces and their Syrian Death Eater allies seized territory in the region in an offensive last year against the Kurdish YPG militia which holds swathes of north and east Syria.
Ankara’s Western allies widely condemned that incursion, which was halted when Turkey reached separate deals with Washington and Moscow, the second of which agreed to establish the joint Russian-Ottoman Turkish patrols.
The YPG, which Turkey deems a terrorist group, forms the military backbone of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) alliance which defeated ISIS in northeast Syria with the help of US air power.
Ain Issa, where the festivities erupted overnight, sits along the M4 highway that links major Syrian cities and where the Russian-Ottoman Turkish patrols usually take place.
A rebel source with the Turkey-backed National Army said the faction seized some farmland after mounting an attack at the edge of the town.
An SDF commander told local Kurdish media that shelling hit parts of the town and highway but his forces were thwarting the attack.
Ain Issa, east of the Euphrates river, also has a sprawling camp for displaced people where the SDF has held families of ISIS fighters, including foreigners.
[Rudaw] Pro-The Sick Man of Europe Turkey ...the occupiers of Greek Asia Minor... murderous Moslems carried out fresh attacks on Friday against the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Ain Issa, with several civilian casualties reported by local outlets.
SDF forces in villages surrounding the town came under repeated attack from Thursday to Friday evening, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR).
The UK-based war monitor added that the murderous Moslems were backed by Ottoman Turkish intensive artillery fire when attacking villages of Jahbal and Mushayrifah, east of Ain Issa, but were unable to advance.
Two non-combatants were killed in the festivities, according to SDF-affiliated North Press Agency (NPA), which reported heavy Ottoman Turkish artillery fire. SOHR also reported an unspecified number of "human losses."
SDF snipers foiled infiltration attempts by the murderous Moslems into both villages, according to Hawar News Agency (ANHA).
Ain Issa is located to the east of Euphrates River, at a junction that connects many cities in northeast Syria, and has been a focal point of recent festivities.
Residents of villages surrounding Ain Issa have previously told Rudaw of their fears of a Ottoman Turkish attack, sleeping in deserted areas at night in case of renewed fighting.
Turkey’s proxies in northern Syria have been bombarding the strategic town in Raqqa province for months, but have been unable to make any advances.
There have been reports about Russia’s attempts to persuade the SDF to hand over the town to the regime forces to stop Ottoman Turkish attacks - a suggestion refused by the SDF.
Amina Omar, co-chair of Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) - the political arm of the SDF - told Rudaw on Friday that "Russia pressures the SDF to push it to hand over Ain Issa to Damascus."
Russians are present in the town but have been slammed by Kurdish officials and locals for their "indifference" against regular attacks from Ottoman Turkish proxies.
Omar added that Ankara's aim in the attacks is to "separate different parts of northeast Syria from each other."
Turkey and its proxies control stretches of northern Syria, including parts of Aleppo and Idlib provinces, and a so-called "safe zone" between Sari Kani (Ras al-Ain) and Gire Spi (Tel Abyad) in northeast Syria — taken by Ankara’s proxies after Operation Peace Spring, which displaced hundreds of thousands of civilians last October.
Ankara has evacuated seven of its observation posts in Idlib province - where the regime is dominant - to areas under its control, an unnamed Ottoman Turkish official told Rooters on Friday.
"It is not in the form of troop withdrawal or reducing their numbers. The situation is just about changing location," the source said.
Ottoman Turkish President His Enormity, Sultan Recep Tayyip Erdogan the First ...Turkey's version of Mohammed Morsi but they voted him back in so they deserve him.
