Tamim Shansab Kept Illegal Weapons: Kabul Police
[ToloNews] Kabul police on Wednesday said that all weapons and ammunitions which were seized from the residence of Tamim Shansab, head of a former security company, were illegal and that no security firm had been registered under his name in the Ministry of Interior.

The Kabul police Crime Investigation Department said that Shansab is in the custody of the National Directorate of Security
...the Afghan national intel agency...
(NDS) for investigation and that the police will ask him that why and how he managed to keep such large amount of weapons in the capital.

Sources within the government have said that Tamim’s father Naseer Shansab had sold out the house to a person named Assadullah, but his son, Tamim Shansab was against the deal.

Kabul police has seized 17 types of weapons including RPG, AK47 and over 15,000 of bullets and military uniforms from Shansab’s house, which was under security forces’ siege for at least 20 hours when Shansab refused to leave the building.

"No security company under the name of Tamim Shansab is registered in the Ministry of Interior. Only one company has been registered under the name of Hamid Wardak who is Shansab’s step brother. He (Tamim Shansab) used from the name of the same company," said Mohammad Salim Almas, head of Kabul police Crime Investigation Department.

"When you see all these, you realize that there is was something going on here. When you see this big house with large number of illegal gunnies, an investigation must determine the details of what was going on here," said Basir Mujahid, the Kabul police front man.

Shansab and his 18 guards were incarcerated
Book 'im, Mahmoud!
on Tuesday after 20 hours of standoff with police.

Some residents and shopkeepers in the area meanwhile talked about what they saw outside the house in Shahr-e-Naw area in Kabul’s PD10 when Shansab was arrested by security forces.

"I saw two armored vehicles came here and several people came out and took Tamim (Shansab) with them," said Sayed Nasim, a shopkeeper in the area.

One Afghan police officer was killed and six others including one journalist were maimed during the standoff.

The 20 hours of resistance by Shansab and his guards against the security forces have raised serious questions on the rule of law in the country.

The Supreme Court of Afghanistan has not made a comment on the issue.

Tajideen, 63, pleaded guilty before a Washington court and faces five years in prison and a forfeiture of $50 million if his deal with prosecutors is accepted.

Tajideen has been detained since extradition to the United States in March 2017 after his arrest overseas, the statement added.

"We are going to keep targeting Hizbullah and other terrorist groups and their supporters, and we are going to keep winning," said Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker, who hailed the guilty plea.

#1  Give him a bushel of monopoly money that he has to count every day in his cell and submit the correct total by dinner time. The guards can have fun adding and subtracting bills at random each day. Bad count, no chow.

IDF special forces discovered by Hamas had been in Gaza Strip for weeks – report
The revelations continue.
[IsraelTimes] TV news cites Paleostinian source familiar with investigation of deadly shootout that led to escalation as saying operatives rented an apartment and handed out medical equipment

An Israel Defense Forces special unit, which last month fought its way out of the Gazoo Strip in a deadly shootout after being discovered by Hamas, one of the armed feet of the Moslem Brüderbung millipede, security personnel, had been operating inside the Paleostinian enclave for weeks, Hadashot television news reported on Wednesday.

The Israeli team rented an apartment and was posing under the cover of workers in a non-government medical equipment charity, "Bamasa," which has two branches, one in Khan Younis and one in Gazoo City, according to a Paleostinian source familiar with the Hamas investigation into the incident cited by Hadashot.

The Times of Israel could not independently confirm the existence of a charity by that name.

During its time in Gazoo the IDF team engaged in handing out medical equipment, mostly wheelchairs, the source told the news channel. Hamas located the apartment where the team was allegedly based and Sherlocks found medical equipment, wheelchairs and evidence that the force had been there for weeks.

On the night of November 11, the Israeli unit was exposed inside the southern Gazoo city of Khan Younis following a search of their vehicle at a Hamas checkpoint, resulting in a firefight in which an Israeli lieutenant colonel was killed, along with seven Paleostinian button men. "Something out of the ordinary" about those in the vehicle prompted Hamas suspicions, the Hadashot TV report said.

It was entirely by chance that the force was discovered, Hadashot reported. Until the clash Hamas had no suspicions regarding the workers.

On the night of of the incident, the troops were stopped at a Hamas checkpoint and questioned. During their interrogation, the Hamas button men noticed that the alleged Israeli soldiers’ accents did not match the addresses listed on their ID cards.

"They told the fighters at the checkpoint that they were delivering patients back from clinics to their homes and had a wheelchair in the back of the van. They presented their ID cards but the [fighters] manning the checkpoint were suspicious as their accents and voices did not match the areas where they said they were from," a Hamas official said.

According to the Paleostinian officials, when a more senior Hamas commander decided to bring in the suspects for additional questioning, the Israeli special forces soldiers opened fire, killing the senior commander, Nour Barakeh, and his deputy.

Palestinian-American in PA custody says she was tortured
[IsraelTimes] Detention of Suha Jbara, 31, extended by 15 days on suspicions she funded ’illegal organizations’ and ’worked with the enemy’

A Paleostinian court on Thursday extended the detention of a hunger-striking Paleostinian-American activist who claims she was tortured in captivity.

Suha Jbara, 31, a US citizen born in Panama, shuffled into the Jericho courtroom with her head down, appearing ashen and weak. Her father and son reached out to embrace her but were restrained by Paleostinian authorities.

The court ordered that Jbara remain in jug 15 more days on suspicions she funded "illegal organizations" and "worked with the enemy." Paleostinian authorities refused to elaborate on the accusations. Jbara insists the only organizations she supports are Islamic charities advocating for Paleostinian prisoners in Israel.

When the judge announced her extended detention, her youngest son, Mohammed, erupted into sobs and her father shook his fist, wailing, "Shame on you! I swear this is not justice!" as security officials ushered him out of the courtroom.

Jbara started a hunger strike two weeks ago to protest what she says is unjust treatment by Paleostinian authorities. She told her lawyer on Thursday that she will continue striking for her remaining days of detention in hopes of bringing attention to her plight.

She told the advocacy organization Amnesia Amnesty International that after arresting her from her home in a midnight raid, Paleostinian authorities tortured her and deprived her of water, sleep and medicine she needs for a heart condition. She said security officials threatened her with sexual violence and forced her to sign a document admitting to charges she says are false.

"He insulted me all the time, used very dirty and violent sexual language, threatened to bring a doctor to look into my virginity and say that I was a whore, and threatened to hurt my family and to take my kids away from me," she said of her Paleostinian interrogator.

Jbara said security officers also punched her in the chest and back and threw her against a wall.

She told the human rights
...which are often intentionally defined so widely as to be meaningless...
group that she was hospitalized after suffering a seizure upon her arrest, but was dragged from her hospital bed by Paleostinian officers.

"I was in bed with tubes in my arms when I clearly remember gunnies came into the room... The gunnies took off the tubes and dragged me out. I was feeling very weak and could barely move or talk... They put me in a minivan and I slept on the floor. I woke up in another place and they said to me, ’Welcome to the Jericho slaughter house,’" she said.

Her father, Badran Jbara, said Jbara lived for nearly a decade with her American husband in New Jersey, where she obtained US citizenship and raised her three children. Now divorced, she lives with her family in the West Bank city of Turmas Aya, known for its large population of Paleostinian-Americans.

"Every day my daughter Suha is dying," Jbara said. "These people are committing brutal crimes against humanity and against the Paleostinian people."

Her lawyer, Mohannad Karajah, called the Paleostinian authorities’ accusations "baseless" and "politically motivated."

The New York-based watchdog Human Rights Watch released a report last month accusing both the Western-backed Paleostinian Authority in the West Bank and Hamas, the well-beloved offspring of the Moslem Brotherhood, in Gazoo of using "machineries of repression" to stifle criticism.

The investigation reported that that Paleostinian security forces routinely use torture and arbitrary arrests to quash dissent by peaceful activists and political opponents.

Identity of Hezbollah member caught in tunnel footage is exposed
[Jpost] The individual caught by the cameras placed inside Hezbollah tunnel is confirmed to be a Hezbollah member.

After the launch of Operation Northern Shield on Tuesday, the IDF placed a camera inside the first tunnel exposed. The success of the operation was immediate as the secrecy surrounding it escaped the eyes of Hezbollah, as two of their members were caught on video.

Merely two days after the publication of the video, the identity of the first individual caught on tape was revealed. The man was confirmed to be Dr. Imad "Azaladin" Fahs. Azaladin is known to be a commander for the Hezbollah observation unit on the border with Israel and a commander in the tunnel unit, i24news reported.

According to i24news' source, Hezbollah claimed the two men appearing in the video were drug pushers and not a part of the Hezbollah organization.

The video of the two Hezbollah personnel caught inside the tunnel was posted on Youtube by the IDF Spokesperson's Unit:
The Times of Israel adds:
Fahs, who is in his 30s and is married with two children, has a PhD in mechanical engineering from K. N. Toosi University of Technology in Tehran.

The i24NEWS TV channel first reported the story, citing an unnamed security official. Later, Hadashot TV said it had contacted a friend of Fahs who confirmed he had recognized him in the published footage.

Hadashot said its efforts to contact Fahs himself had been fruitless, adding that he appears to have gone underground, literally and figuratively, over the past two years. He has dramatically reduced his online presence and has stopped posting to his Facebook account.

Earlier posts by Fahs on social media feature many photos of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, as well as photos of himself in southern Leb.

Fahs reportedly trained in the past with Mexican narco mobs near the border with the United States.

Homs: Russia offered US to jointly control Tanf region – report
[AlMasdar] The Russian military offered the U.S. Coalition to jointly control the al-Tanf region in southeast Homs, the Sputnik News Agency reported on Friday.

Citing Russian Chief of Staff General Valeri Gerasimov, the Sputnik News Agency reported that Moscow offered the U.S. Coalition joint control of the al-Tanf region in order to alleviate the humanitarian situation at the nearby Rukban Refugee Camp.

"For our part, we proposed to end the monopolization of the region and considered a joint Russian-US control over the border crossing, but the American partners left our proposals unanswered," the Russian commander said.

The U.S. has been in control of the al-Tanf region since their rebel allies seized the area from the Islamic State
...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems....
(ISIS/ISIS/IS/ISIS) in 2016.

Since its capture, the al-Tanf region has turned into an area of influence for the U.S. Coalition; it has also allowed them to remain close to the Iranian forces in southeast Syria.

Deir Ezzor: we’re training lotsa Kurds, huge US convoy approaches, ISIS fails in Hajin again - 80 die, Coalition massively airstrikes, Syria sez Coalition killed hospital

US looks to train at least 40,000 forces in Syria

[AlMasdar] US and allied forces in eastern Syria need to complete training between 35,000 to 40,000 local troops to establish stability in eastern Syria following the defeat and expulsion of the Daesh terror group in those areas, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs General Joseph Dunford said.

“We estimate about 35,000 to 40,000 local forces have to be trained and equipped in order to provide stability,” Dunford said at a Washington Post event on Thursday. “We are probably somewhere along the line of 20 percent through the training of those forces.”

Dunford explained that the stabilization process would need to continue for an indefinite period of time in eastern Syria.

“With regard to stabilization we still have a long way to go. We can say our presence in Syria right now is sustainable and can be adjusted based on conditions,” he said.

Dunford gave no details of the number of US Special Operations Command troops that were currently operating in eastern, Syria, but he did say there were no plans to evacuate them.

When asked if the US forces in eastern Syria would be maintained in the region for the foreseeable future, Dunford replied, “No. That’s right… They’re not leaving any time soon.”

The training of local forces was necessary to re-establish effective local government and services in the region including sewage, law and order and electric power, Dunford said.

Massive US military convoy heads to eastern Syria despite Turkey’s objections (video)

[AlMasdar] (10:40 P.M.) – A large U.S. military convoy was seen traveling to the eastern countryside of the Deir Ezzor Governorate this week as the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) intensify their battle against the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) in the key town of Hajin.

In a short video released by pro-SDF activists, a U.S. military convoy consisting of tens of vehicles made its way to the eastern region of Syria to aid their partners from the Syrian Democratic Forces in their ongoing offensive:

In the past, the Turkish regime has slammed the U.S. military for providing aid to the Syrian Democratic Forces, who Ankara considers an offshoot of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK).

Despite Turkey’s disapproval, the U.S. and their Coalition partners have continued to provide military aid to the Syrian Democratic Forces and Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) at several fronts across northern and eastern Syria.

Daesh’s desperate counter-offensive in Hajin fails to gain traction (video)

[AlMasdar] (11:30 P.M.) – The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) launched a counter-offensive inside the key town of Hajin, yesterday, in a bid to retake the areas they lost to the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

However, the terrorist group’s counter-offensive would fail to gain any traction, as they were ultimately repelled by the Syrian Democratic Forces.

Among the SDF units foiling this Daesh attack was the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) Jaysh Al-Thuwar, who recently deployed their fighters to this front in order to expedite the offensive against the terrorist group.

As shown the short video below, Jaysh Al-Thuwar was engaged in a fierce battle with the Daesh forces before they were ultimately able to fully repel them inside of Hajin.

Currently, the Syrian Democratic Forces control at least 25 percent of Hajin, with most of the northern districts under their authority.

The Syrian Democratic Forces are now working to push into the town-center as they look to overpower the remaining terrorist combatants inside Hajin.

Nearly 80 Daesh, SDF fighters killed in southeast Deir Ezzor

[AlMasdar] (11:30 A.M.) – Dozens of fighters from the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) and U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have been killed in and around the key town of Hajin in southeast Deir Ezzor, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported on Friday morning.

According to the SOHR report, approximately 80 fighters from the Syrian Democratic Forces and Islamic State have been killed over the last four days at the Hajin front.

Of the nearly 80 fighters killed in the last four days, at least 25 were killed as a result of yesterday’s clashes in the northern districts of Hajin.

The death toll will likely double in the coming days as the battle reaches the town-center of Hajin.

US Coalition unleashes largest attack on eastern Syria this year

[AlMasdar] (12:10 A.M.) – Over the last 24 hours, the U.S. Coalition has conducted their largest attack in eastern Syria this year, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported.

According to the SOHR report, the U.S. Coalition conducted more than 100 airstrikes over the Islamic State’s (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) positions inside the key town of Hajin.

The massive assault by the U.S. Coalition was conducted in conjunction with the Syrian Democratic Forces’ (SDF) big push to capture Hajin and the Islamic State’s last positions east of the Euphrates River.

However, during this large-scale assault on the Islamic State forces, the U.S. Coalition reportedly killed eight civilians that were trapped behind the terrorist group’s lines in Hajin.

The U.S.’ recent air campaign in eastern Syria has proven costly as a large number of civilians have been reported dead as a result of their airstrikes in the Euphrates River Valley.

Syria accuses US Coalition of completely destroying hospital in Deir Ezzor

[AlMasdar] The Friday airstrikes of the US-led Coalition have completely destroyed a hospital in the Syrian city of Hajin in the eastern Deir ez-Zor province, Ikhbariya broadcaster reported.

SANA and the Ikhbariya broadcaster reported earlier on Friday that eight more civilians were killed in recent airstrikes on Hajin. All of the killed civilians were reportedly members of one family.

The US-led coalition regularly carries out airstrikes in eastern Deir ez-Zor province, and has recently been concentrating its air power on Hajin.

According to the Wednesday US-led Coalition press release, all strikes were carried out near Hajin and destroyed supply routes, vehicles, fighting positions, as well as tunnels and buildings.

On Saturday, the SANA news agency reported that the coalition’s airstrikes hit the al-Buqa village near the town of Hajin in the province of Deir ez-Zor leaving 40 civilians dead.

The coalition’s spokesman Col. Sean Ryan told Sputnik that the coalition had conducted strikes in the area, which, however, did not result in any civilian casualties.

The coalition’s activities in Syria are authorized neither by the Syrian government, nor by the UN Security Council.

Ankara tells US to stop building observation posts on Syria-Turkey border
[Rudaw] The Sick Man of Europe Turkey
...just another cheapjack Moslem dictatorship, brought to you by the Moslem Brüderbund....
and the United States renewed their commitment to their road map for Manbij, agreeing to make concrete progress by the end of the year. Continued US support for Kurdish groups in Syria, however, is a sore point for Ankara.

US Syria envoy Jim Jeffrey is in Ankara for a meeting of Washington’s working group with Turkey. During their discussions, Ottoman Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar told Jeffrey that the US should stop building its observation points on the Syria-Turkey border.

"The US should cut ties with the YPG [Peoples’ Protection Units], which is no different from the PKK and the US should also call off its plan to set up observation points in northern Syria," Akar told Jeffrey, state-run Anadolu Agency reported.

US forces in northern Syria established five observation posts on the border with Turkey. The purpose of the posts ‐ that are manned by American soldiers ‐ is to watch the border to prevent any instigation from either side. The US made the decision to set up its watchtowers after their Kurdish allies in the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) briefly suspended military operations against ISIS in Deir ez-Zor when Turkey fired on their positions and villages along the border.

Ankara fiercely objects to US support of the Syrian Kurds and has threatened a military offensive against them, east of the Euphrates. America’s latest attempt to keep its two allies at peace as angered Turkey.

The Manbij roadmap was developed to appease Turkey’s opposition to Kurdish control of the Syrian city.

American and Ottoman Turkish forces conducted independent patrols of the Manbij area in the summer and in November began to joint patrols. Ankara has, however, accused the US of dragging its feet in implementing further steps of their agreed plan.

The two sides issued a joint statement after their meeting on Friday: "They committed to accelerated and concrete progress on the Manbij roadmap by the end of the year," Anadolu reported.

"Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to fight terrorism in all its forms and manifestations originating from within Syria and beyond."

The also agreed to meet more frequently, planning to next get together in Washington no later than February 2019.
