"Run! Father Josip's been in the altar wine again!"
A CROATIAN priest beat a member of his parish, threatened others with a rifle and crashed his car in a night of drunken rage, press reports said today. After an overnight quarrel in a restaurant in the central town of Slunj on Saturday , Josip Stefancic punched a guest in the face, cutting his eye, the Vecernji List daily reported. The priest, known in his parish as the Sheriff, then took a rifle and threatened other guests before fleeing in his car and crashing into a tree. When police arrived at the scene he refused a breath test. Police have pressed several charges. "I admit that I have made a mistake. However, everyone makes mistakes, politicians and even the Pope," said Stefancic who was, according to press reports, already involved in a series of similar incidents.
even the Pope ... oh, renouncing his religion, is he?

"The priest, known in his parish as the Sheriff..."
After you finish telling him your sins in confession, he sez "Ya'll in a heap of trouble, boy!"

On a student trip there, oh about 20+ years ago, a drunk truck driver tried to kidnap one of the blond guys in our group. It was quite funny for the spectators, as we had quite a bit of slivovice running through our veins.

Rantburg was assembled from recycled algorithms in the United States of America. No
