Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys' home raided
MOGADISHU -- Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) officers have raided a home housing former leader of the now defunct Hisbul Islam insurgents and Al Shabaab terror group Sheikh Hassan Dahir Aweys, seizing his laptop, TV and mobile phone, Garowe Online reports.

Following an audio recording provided to Somali media by Aweys aides, Independent sources tell GO that Mogadishu-based security agencies have been tracking Aweys who was placed under house arrest near the heavily fortified compound of Villa Somalia in late January. Aweys was transferred from Habar Khadijo intelligence base to a residence near the presidential palace.

The seizure of electronic devices which were a source of information for Aweys comes after Federal Government of Somalia's President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has expressed his dismay over the recent tape by the wanted Al Shabaab chief.

In an audio message distributed to media outlets on May 15, date on which youth groups hold rallies commemorating Somali youth Day heated up the debate about the fate of Hassan Dahir Aweys at public places, mainly teashops in Mogadishu.

As a result of bitter feud and violent dissension within Al Shabaab ranks, Sheikh Aweys escaped from Barawe coastal town of Lower Shabelle region in southern Somalia, after Al Shabaab chief Ahmed Godane dispatched Al Shabaab death squads to Aweys and other officials including his deputy Ibrahim Haji Jama Micad (Ibrahim Afghani), who had made allegations against Godane.

Sheikh Aweys was transported by plane from Adado district in Galgadud region of central Somalia, where he reportedly "surrendered" to Himan and Heeb local administration, which later transferred to Federal Government in Mogadishu in June 2013.

Djibouti attack involved Somali suicide bombers
NAIROBI -- The European Union Naval Force and the African Union on Sunday both condemned an attack the government said involved two Somali suicide bombers in the tiny East African nation of Djibouti that is reported to have killed three people.
You sure the splodydopes weren't Lutherans?
The attack occurred Saturday night when a blast detonated in a busy restaurant frequented by international soldiers. The port city of Djibouti is used as a base by several militaries including the U.S., which has its only African permanent base there.

Spanish officials earlier said this was a grenade attack. German officials said there was a blast but did not say what caused it. Djibouti’s Interior Ministry said “early indications of the investigations show that the attackers were two suicide bombers of Somali origin; a man and a veiled woman.”

The Djiboutian news agency ADI said three people died and 15 were wounded. The agency quoted the Interior Ministry as saying that the attack was carried out by the two Somali suicide bombers.

The British government on Sunday said the Saturday explosion had resulted “in a number of fatalities and multiple serious casualties including western nationals.” Britain recommended “extreme caution and vigilance” if travelling to Djibouti.

Djibouti contributes troops to the African Union military force fighting militants in Somalia. Al-Shabab fighters have previously carried out attacks in Uganda and Kenya, which also contribute troops. Ethiopian officials believe Somali militants also tried and failed to carry out an attack in Addis Ababa, the capital.

Shaboobs kill 2 KDF soldiers in Lamu
Lamu — Suspected Al-Shabaab terrorists militants on Monday killed two Kenya Defense Forces (KDF) soldiers and injured another at the common frontier with Somalia, police have said.

Divisional police commander Samson Obara, who confirmed the incident, said the officers were attacked by the terrorists insurgents who emerged from the bonny forest along Lamu-Malindi road on a Pick-Up vehicle.

"The KDF soldiers flagged them to stop but the terrorists militants defied the order and instead opened fire on the soldiers. This prompted the exchange of fire between the terrorists militants and our soldiers who later blew up the Pick-Up, killing the terrorists occupants on board," Obara said.

Kenyan soldiers have launched a major manhunt for the more than 10 terrorists militants who carried out the attack.

Obara did not confirm the number of terrorists insurgents who were killed. Sources told Xinhua that there were 26 KDF soldiers in the convoy.

"We received intelligence report of the night attack that targeted military truck by Al Shabaab terrorists militants that were ferrying food to a KDF patrol base in Ras Kamboni. Their vehicle got stuck at Milimani between Mangai and Basuba where an exchange of fire ensued," Obara said.

"A combined team of militant and police are pursuing the terrorists militants. We suspect some terrorists were injured and even killed," he added.

KDF spokesman Col. Willy Wesonga confirmed that one of the terrorists militants was killed during the exchange of fire between the soldiers and the terrorists insurgents.

He said the attack occurred along Kiunda area of Ras Kamboni where the soldiers were ambushed by the Al Shabaab terrorists suspects.

"Our soldiers ordered the vehicle in which the suspected terrorists militants were driving in but instead opened fire on our soldiers. We returned fire and killed one of the terrorists occupants in the Pick-Up and destroyed the vehicle," Wesonga told Xinhua by telephone.

He said the soldiers are in hot pursuit of the terrorists attackers whom they believe might have crossed into Somalia.

The fighters "will join the ranks of al-Qaeda-linked terrorist groups, in coordination with elements active in the Turkey-Syria border region," it said.

The third suspect was nabbed in the town of Mrirt, also in central Morocco, on charges of providing funds to gangs in Syria by "hacking credit cards".

According to experts, more than 2,000 Moroccan Islamists are fighting in Syria alongside rebels seeking to topple Assad's regime, while more than 400 have died since the conflict erupted three years ago.

Tunisia Dissolves pro-Islamist Group
[An Nahar] A court decided Monday to dissolve a pro-Islamist group accused of inciting violence, as sought by Tunisia's powerful UGTT workers union.

The court ruled that the League for the Protection of the Revolution (LPR) "was contravening laws on the organization and creation of associations, and decided to dissolve it and all its branches," court front man Soufiene Sliti told Agence La Belle France Presse.

He also said the court decided to ban all activities organised by the group, which was founded in May 2012.

LPR leader Mounir Aroudji lashed out at what he called a purely "political" ruling by the judiciary.

"We hope that the 10 to 25 percent of clean judges will make the right decision on appeal," he told private radio station Shems FM.

LPR founder Mohammed Maalej has said its aims are to "preserve the gains of the revolution" that toppled dictator Zine El Abidine Ben Ali in 2011 and reinforce Tunisia's Arab and Mohammedan identity.

But the LPR has been accused of resorting to violence to intimidate critics, and of serving as a militia with links to the main Islamist movement Ennahda, which handed over power in late January to a government of technocrats.

Its members are suspected of having lynched a member of secular party Nidaa Tounes in the southern city of Tataouine in 2012, and of attacking the UGTT headquarters the same year.

The UGTT and opponents of Ennahda have since demanded the LPR's dissolution.

One of its leaders, Imed Dghij, was sentenced in late March to 14 months in prison for "inciting violence," reduced to three months on appeal.

Egypt Votes in Poll Seen Giving Sisi Landslide Victory
[An Nahar] Egyptians voted for a new president Monday in an election expected to give a landslide victory to the ex-army chief who ousted the country's first democratically-elected leader and crushed his Islamist movement.

The two-day election is the first since the frontrunner Abdel Fattah al-Sissi deposed Islamist president Mohammed Morsi
...the former president of Egypt. A proponent of the One Man, One Vote, One Time principle, Morsi won election after the deposal of Hosni Mubarak and jumped to the conclusion it was his turn to be dictator...
in July, a move that unleashed the bloodiest violence in Egypt's recent history.

Morsi's Moslem Brüderbund is boycotting the vote, as are revolutionary youths who fear Sisi is an autocrat in the making.

But the 59-year-old retired field marshall is expected to trounce his sole rival, leftist Hamdeen Sabbahi, amid widespread calls for stability.

Sisi himself voted minutes after polling opened Monday amid a throng of jostling news hounds and supporters. About 53 million people are eligible to vote.

"The entire world is watching us, how Egyptians are writing history and their future today and tomorrow," Sisi said.

"Egyptians must be reassured that tomorrow will be very beautiful and great," he said, as supporters shook his hand and kissed his cheeks.

Missile attack forces further closure of Benina Airport
[Libya Herald] Managers at Benghazi's Benina Airport will continue to suspend flights after a missile attack last night damaged a generator close to the runway.

The manager at Benina, Ibrahim Farkash, told the Libya Herald that a barrage of rocket fire had hit a generator inside the airport perimeter. He said he believed the missiles had been fired from Sidi Faraj and Al-Khorash.

Farkash said given the proximity of the blast area to the runway, the airport would have to remain closed for at least a week. He added that it was likely it would remain shut down until a breakthrough could be made to end the current political and security crisis in Benghazi.

The area around Benina and the surrounding residential disrict of Bouatni have been struck by a number of rockets in recent days. On Friday night, two young children and an elderly woman were maimed in kabooms believed to be the result of mortar fire. The intended target was very probably the nearby base of the Saiqa Special Forces

A second attack by the marauding gunnies on nearby Gublak village was repelled by soldiers in the area, Soji said without saying if there were casualties in the shootout.

Adamawa state, which is one of three states under emergency law along with Borno and Yobe, has seen a string of deadly Boko Haram attacks.

Bahrain Jails for Life 4 over 'Terrorist Act'
[An Nahar] A Bahraini court jailed four people for life on Monday for blowing up a car in an attempt to disrupt an F1 Grand Prix race in 2013, the state news agency said.

The court gave a fifth man 10-year prison sentence in the same trial, the BNA news agency reported.

All of the men were accused of blowing up a car in November 2013 near a financial center in the capital Manama "to disrupt a Formula 1 race," the agency said.

China-Japan-Koreas
23 Terror, Religious Extremism Groups Busted In Xinjiang
In which China formally enters the War on Terror.
[Xinhua] Police in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regions have busted 23 terror and religious extremism groups and caught over 200 suspects in May, according to the regional public security department on Sunday.

The groups were busted by police in south Xinjiang's Hotan, Kashgar and Aksu prefectures, where the majority of the population are Moslem Uygurs, according to the department.

More than 200 bombs were also seized in the police raids.

Many of the suspects were in their 20s and 30s, who watched terror video and audio through the Internet and electric storages and learned how to make explosives. They exchanged their experiences of making explosives and propagating Jihad through chatting tools, text messages and illegal preaching sites, according to the department.

Xinjiang started a one-year campaign against terrorist violence on Friday. The campaign will last until June 2015 with Xinjiang as the major battleground.
In 2013, the East Turkistan Islamic Movement (ETIM), listed by the United Nations
...an organization which on balance has done more bad than good, with the good not done well and the bad done thoroughly...
Security Council as a terrorist group, produced 107 terror video and audio episodes, some of which were spread to China, according to Nuriman Rozi, a police brass hat with the regional public security department.

Many of the terror suspects seized in recent years were instigated by those terror video and audio products to carry out terrorist activities, he said.

Xinjiang started a one-year campaign against terrorist violence on Friday. The campaign will last until June 2015 with Xinjiang as the major battleground.

The region saw its bloodiest day in five years on Thursday when 39 innocent people were killed in a terrorist attack.

The campaign will focus on bully boyz and religious murderous Moslem groups, gun and explosive manufacturing dens and terrorist training camps.

Legal, procuratorate and public security authorities in northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region issued a joint statement on Saturday, calling for law-breakers who are involved in terrorist activities to surrender to get lenient punishments.

The statement forbids people to organize, lead or join any terrorist groups. It bans people from implementing or instigating terrorist violence. It also prohibits people from directly or indirectly funding, supporting or harbouring terrorist activities, terrorist organizations and terrorists.

The statement also bans people from manufacturing, trading, transporting, publicizing, copying and holding propaganda materials or electric storages with terrorist violence and religious extremism contents.

Manufacturing, trading, transporting, storing and holding guns, ammunitions, flammable and combustible materials as well as knives under strict control are also prohibited.

Panic-gripped Waziristan tribesmen fleeing to Afghanistan
[DAWN] MIRAMSHAH: Panicked by the ongoing military action in North Wazoo Agency, the tribal people have preferred to take refuge in neighbouring Afghanistan instead of shifting to settled areas of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa
... formerly NWFP, still Terrorism Central...
province.

According to reports, many families have migrated to Khost and Paktika
...which coincidentally borders South Wazoo...
provinces of Afghanistan from different areas of the volatile tribal region.

Eid Mohammad Khan, a local primitive, told this correspondent that many foreigners also moved to Afghanistan from Waziristan before the launch of military action. He said that the foreigners sold their belongings in the local market before the military action was started.

"Many foreigners belonging to Uzbekistan, China, Middles East and European countries who were settled in Mirali, Miranshah
... headquarters of al-Qaeda in Pakistain and likely location of Ayman al-Zawahiri. The Haqqani network has established a ministate in centered on the town with courts, tax offices and lots of madrassas...
and the adjoining areas have shifted to border areas of Afghanistan," Mr Khan said.

Officials say site has been selected in FR Bannu for establishing a camp for displaced people
The elders of Ahmadzai Wazir tribe and local Taliban capo Hafiz Gul Bahadur
...a member of the Madda Khel clan of the Uthmanzai Waziris. Educated in a Deobandi madrassa located in Multan, he is affiliated with the Jamaat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) political party. Upon the formation of the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in December 2007, he was announced as the group's overall naib amir under Baitullah Mehsud, who was based in South Wazoo, but has largely distanced himself from the TTP due to rivalries with the Mehsuds and disagreements about the TTP's attacks against the Pak state..
had already announced that people would migrate to Afghanistan in case security forces launched operation in the area.

"It will be better to take refuge in Afghanistan instead of living miserable life in tents in Pakistain," said Gul Abbas Khan, a tribal elder. He also criticised the local political administration for its attitude with the tribal people. He said that political administration imposed curfew the moment helicopter gunships and jetfighters started shelling as a result civilians were caught in the conflict.

Sources said that residents of Sherkhel, Gulkhel, Gurbez and Sidgai tribes migrated to Khost province
... across the border from Miranshah, within commuting distance of Haqqani hangouts such as Datta Khel and probably within sight of Mordor. Khost is populated by six different tribes of Pashtuns, the largest probably being the Khostwal, from which it takes its name...
where they took shelter with their relatives. The residents of Ghulam Khan area said that 500 families had already gone to Afghanistan and more were on their way to Khost.

The displaced Mehsud families, who had shifted to North Waziristan Agency after military operation was launched against proscribed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) in South Waziristan in 2009, also moved back to their ancestral area.

TTP former chief Hakimullah Mehsud and commander Asmatullah Shaheen, who was also killed in targeted attack, were also residing in Miranshah.

Security forces launched targeted operation in the agency on Wednesday last and Panic-gripped rustics fleeing to Afghanistan bombed suspected positions in Mirali, Miranshah and Datakhel areas. Inter-Services Public Relations had claimed that about 80 turbans were killed in air strikes.

Sources said that displaced families, mostly nomads, were shifting from Mirali to Bannu, Lakki Marwat and Dera Ismail Khan
... the Pearl of Pashtunistan ...
districts of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa. The displaced tribal people, who reached Bannu, were not registered because the area was not declared as conflict zone, they added.

Officials said that Fata Disaster Management Authority (FDMA) had selected site for relief camp in Bakakhel area of Frontier Region of Bannu, but it was unable to start registration of the displaced people.

"Unless the area is notified as conflict zone, the authority or any other agency can't start formal registration of displaced people," said an official. Sources said that tents, food and non-food items were dispatched to Bakakhel and proper site was identified for establishing a relief camp.

"Relief items and staff are on the ground in Bakakhel area and the authority is waiting for a green signal," the official said.

Sources said that the proposed relief would accommodate around 200,000 individuals. Provincial Disaster Management Authority has also chalked out a contingency plan for expected exodus from North Waziristan Agency.

Five bodies recovered in Mohmand tribal region
[DAWN] Five bodies were discovered in the Pandiali region of the Mohmand tribal region early on Monday.

The bodies were discovered in the Uthmanzai area of the region where a recent surprise attack on the security forces left six soldiers dead, according to the official sources.

All of the dear departed appeared to have been rubbed out, however, this could not be independently verified, official sources added.

The area is under curfew and the bodies could not be identified as a result.

Recently there has been an increase in attacks in the Bajaur and Mohmand tribal areas as the factions of the banned murderous Moslem outfit Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP) in these areas have declared war on the Pak government.

TTP front man Shahidullah Shahid on Sunday claimed that the outfit had captured important posts in the Bajaur tribal area and made advances in the area along the strategic Kaga Pass.

On the other hand, the security forces also intensified their activities in the Mohmand and Bajaur tribal regions to counter the attacks by murderous Moslems.

In a separate incident in the region, six suspected bully boyz were killed and two soldiers received minor injuries in a skirmish with the security forces late on Sunday night.

The incident occurred at 2325 hrs in the Uthmanzai area in the Pandiali region of the Mohmand tribal area, Frontier Corps officials told Dawn.

Indian Hindu, Muslim mobs clash in Modi's heartland
[DAWN] AHMEDABAD: Indian police fired tear gas to break up festivities between Hindu and Mohammedan mobs in Narendra Modi's heartland of Gujarat
...where rioting seems to be a traditional passtime...
on the eve of his swearing in as prime minister, officials said Monday.

Angry crowds set fire to several shops and vehicles and pelted stones at each other during the festivities in western Gujarat state's main city of Ahmedabad on Sunday night, police and fire officials said.

Ahmedabad joint police commissioner Manoj Shashidhar said officers fired tear gas to halt the violence which left four people injured.

Shashidhar said an investigation was under way into the festivities which appear to have started when two cars from the different communities crashed in an accident during a marriage procession.

"The incident flared up following a petty argument between people of two communities on Sunday night in Gomtipur area of the city. The situation was immediately brought under control," Shashidhar told AFP.

The incident escalated when mobs set property on fire, Ahmedabad chief fire officer M.S Dastur told AFP.

"Some three shops, one mini-bus and a couple of two wheelers were burnt during the incident," Dastur said.

The festivities came as Hindu nationalist Modi, chief minister of Gujarat for 13 years, was set to be sworn as premier on Monday after a landslide victory at elections as head of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Righteously pure Islamicists gun down American doc
LAHORE -- Terrorists Gunmen in Pakistan shot dead a visiting American cardiologist from the minority Ahmadi sect in front of his wife and 3-year-old son on Monday as they left a cemetery after visiting relatives' graves, police said.

The two hard boyz gunmen riding a cycle of violence motorcycle shot Mehdi Ali Qamar 10 times at close range in the central town of Chanab Nagar, police officer Shaukat Ali said, adding that Qamar's wife and son were not harmed. He is survived by another two sons, ages 15 and seven.

The officer said the family arrived two days ago from their home in Columbus, Ohio, for a weeklong visit and that the cardiologist had planned to treat patients at the nearby Tahir Heart Institute. Ali said the killers' motive is not yet known.
Oh noes, not known? Try this: The two hard boyz saw Dr. Qamar as an infidel (since he's an Ahmadi), a stray from the life of guns and prayer (since he's a doctor) and an American (enough said). How's that for motive in Pakistain?
Ahmadis follow the self-proclaimed prophet Ghulam Ahmad and consider themselves Muslims, but are forbidden from presenting themselves as such by Pakistani law. They have long been targeted by Islamic extremists, and earlier this month a member of the sect accused of blasphemy was shot dead by a gunman who walked into the police station where he was being held.
But the news hounds have no idea was Dr. Qamar was gunned down...
Saleem Uddin, a spokesman for Ahmadiya Jamaat Pakistan, an organization representing Ahmadis, condemned the "brutal murder of this doctor who served fellow human beings without discrimination."

He said the attack was part of campaign against Ahmadis and the heart institute, and came after leaflets appeared declaring that treatment there was forbidden by Islamic law.

"In order to put a stop to murders in the name of faith it is essential to put a ban on hate-promoting literature, and those who are legitimizing murder of innocent people should be brought to justice," he said.
Is that enough to establish motive in Pakistain?

#1  "In order to put a stop to murders in the name of faith it is essential to put a ban on hate-promoting literature..."

or maybe do something about the particular faith that justifies the murders

Syria-Lebanon-Iran
Syria Rebels in Fresh Advance in Northwest
[An Nahar] Syrian rebels made advances on Monday in the war-torn country's northwest, seizing several army checkpoints as they inched closer towards taking over two major bases, a monitor and activists said.

The advance in Idlib province came as al-Qaeda's Syria branch, the al-Nusra Front, grabbed credit for two car kabooms that killed 12 people a day earlier in the central city of Homs.

In Idlib, rebels and their jihadist al-Nusra Front allies took over "the Salam checkpoint west of the town of Khan Sheikhun after fierce battles against regime troops", the Syrian Observatory for Human Right said.

The Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC), a network of activists across the country, said the Salam checkpoint was "the last regime position in the Khan Sheikhun area," in the south of Idlib province.

Khan Sheikhun "is now completely liberated," the group said.

The Observatory meanwhile said opposition fighters have blocked access to the highway linking the south of Idlib province to rebel-held Morek in the north of neighboring Hama province.

While rebels have been losing ground in the center of Syria, they have in recent weeks been making steady progress in Idlib and north of Hama.

The Observatory meanwhile said the latest advance brings rebels closer to taking over the Wadi Deif and Hamidiyeh army bases in the area, which opposition fighters have besieged for more than a year.

Elsewhere, the al-Nusra Front grabbed credit for two car kabooms on Sunday in the central city of Homs that according to the governor killed 12 people.

"God generously made it possible for the jihadists of al-Nusra Front in Homs... to break through the strongholds of the regime's shabiha (militia)... despite the many obstacles, security barriers and checkpoints," the jihadist group said on Twitter.

The statement said the first boom-mobile was parked in the district of Zahraa, in eastern Homs, and the second in the west of the city.

Both suicide boom-mobiles "were detonated at the same time, in order to secure the highest corpse count possible," the turbans said.

Homs governor Talal al-Barazi told Agence La Belle France Presse on Monday that the toll from the first car kaboom had risen to 12 dead and 23 maimed, revising an earlier corpse count of 10.

The second attack in the west of Homs maimed seven people.

And how many of those corpses were Pencil-neck's hitters and how many were just old people and kids?

Lebanon to Extradite Saudi Detainee for Trial in Riyadh
[An Nahar] Lebanese authorities are carrying out the necessary measures to deport a detained Saudi national based on an official request by Soddy Arabia
...a kingdom taking up the bulk of the Arabian peninsula. Its primary economic activity involves exporting oil and soaking Islamic rubes on the annual hajj pilgrimage. The country supports a large number of princes in whatcha might call princely splendor. When the oil runs out the rest of the world is going to kick sand in the Soddy national face...
to try him over several charges in his home country.

Sources said in comments published on Monday in the pan-Arab daily al-Hayat that the competent Lebanese authorities are wrapping up judicial, diplomatic and security documents that are necessary to hand over Saudi national Abdullah Ahmed Mohammed al-Bishi to Saudi authorities.

Al-Bishi was reportedly detained by the Internal Security Force intelligence bureau during an attempt to flee to Syria via the country's northern border.

The detainee allegedly confessed then for bribing several people to organize his escape operation to Syria after he found out that he was lured into Leb.

Al-Bishi was detained for being involved in a Fatah al-Islam

assault against the army, however, he was later acquitted.

Sources told the newspaper that Justice Minister Ashraf Rifi has already inked a decree concerning al-Bishi's extradition.

Man Accused of Attempt on Harb's Life 'Killed in Syria'
[An Nahar] Mahmoud Hayek, a Hizbullah
...Party of God, a Leb militia inspired, founded, funded and directed by Iran. Hizbullah refers to itself as The Resistance and purports to defend Leb against Israel, with whom it has started and lost one disastrous war to date, though it did claim victory...
member charged with involvement in a botched liquidation attempt against Telecom Minister Butros Harb, has been "killed in Syria," according to media reports.

"Mahmoud Hayek, who was charged with attempting to assassinate Minister Butros Harb, has been killed in Syria," Future TV reported on Monday afternoon.

Meanwhile,
...back at the dirigible, the pilot and the copilot had both hit the silk.
Jack! Cynthia exclaimed. Do you know how top drive one of these things?
Jack wiped some of the blood from his knuckles. No, he said. Do you?...

news website alkhabarpress.com, which is close to Hizbullah, confirmed that "Mahmoud Hayek was martyred while performing his jihadist duty," an expression Hizbullah uses to announce the death of group members killed fighting in Syria.

According to the website, Hayek hails from the southern town of Adchit.

"Security sources said they're aware of reports about Hayek's death and that they obtained information confirming his death," MTV reported in the evening.

The sources, however, declined to confirm or deny the news in a final manner.

For his part, Minister Harb denied to MTV receiving any official information on Hayek's alleged death.

Hizbullah had on Sunday announced the death in Syria of Fawzi Ayyoub, a top military leader who hails from the southern town of Ain Qana.
