I've been pretty hard on both Radical Islam and those who in the Islamic Community that have given only lip service to "Peaceful Islam".
So I"m always delighted when I see stories like this
In the wake of a deadly shooting attack at a synagogue in Denmark las week, a group of Norwegian Muslims intends to hold an anti-violence demonstration at an Oslo synagogue this coming weekend by forming a "peace ring" around the building
I'm even more encouraged when I see who is organizing this:
One of the event organizers, 17-year-old Hajrad Arshad, explained that the intention was to make a clear statement that Muslims don't support anti-Semitism.
"We think that after the terrorist attacks in Copenhagen, it is the perfect time for us Muslims to distance ourselves from the harassment of Jews that is happening," Arshad told the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation NRK in an interview cited by The Local News website on Tuesday.
She noted that the group aimed to "extinguish the prejudices people have against Jews and against Muslims."
This isn't without risk, there will be some radicals who will not approve of this. This young woman deserves our praise, our encouragement, .....and our protection.

AlanC, I don't think she's faking. I know a number of Muslims who feel the same way. But it's hard for them to stand up and say so - sort of like standing up for conservative principles at a DC cocktail party (but deadlier.)

Glenmore has the correct take on this. Plenty of Muslims have reasonable and even laudatory aims. Having them as allies against the monsters is a good idea and there is no reason to disparage their actions.

Before Obama was elected, I used to think the "Obama is a Muslim" crowd were crazy: not quite "9/11 Truther" crazy, but almost. The notion seemed, at the time, pretty far-fetched.
But after he was inaugurated, I began to wonder; his Cairo speech was a real eye-opener.
And now, a month into the 7th year of Obama's reign, I'm all but convinced he's the Manchurian Candidate: a subversive, taqiyya-spouting closet Muslim whose aims are to weaken Western civilization and facilitate the elevation of Islam to total world domination.
To those who are sure Obama is not a Muslim, I ask: if he were really a Muslim, with the aims I cited above, how would his actions be any different from what we've already seen from him?
No different at all, I say.

I always though the Communist Party was officially atheist so I have a hard time believing he's really a Muslim.

Considering that the feds are doing everything they can to remove the ability for Americans to get guns, and they are importing more Muslims as possible makes me believe that he is a Muslim that wants to remake the US as a Islamic state even more.

SO let this conspiracy theory play out. After the Shah of Iran fell, the new government built a plan to destroy America. Understanding they could not defeat us with force, they needed another path. So they find this young black Muslim man who's father was friendly to Iran when he worked at Embassies. They get wahabbiests to pay his way through the finest colleges. They put an operative living in America to handle him and introduce him to all of the radical left in America and mold his philosophies. After all, they have been funding Dorn and the rest for years. They keep him clean and out of trouble. They fund him while he does community outreach. They pay for his pilgrimage to Pakistan and other Islamic states. They mold this candidate into someone with little or no traceable past. Then they fund him into the Senate. They control his voting, voting present almost entirely, insuring he will be untouchable if he would only keep his mouth shut. They marry him to a radical leftist. They fund his presidential campaign through small donations made electronically through China, filtering million into his game. Once in office his lifetime handler becomes his chief of staff. He places Radical leftists into key positions like placing a Black Panther in DOJ. Then he goes on a slow march to destroy the credibility and capability of every department in the government. The IRS was easy, just target the first "Average Joe" to speak out and destroy him, then go after every low lever politician and political group. Driving the congress into stalemate is child's play and turning the Democratic party into a near fascist organization by driving out moderates and Blue dogs is also simple. He embraces the lawless attacks anyone who arrests someone of color as racist and sends in the DOJ Black Panther to disrupt any type of investigation. The last department to tear apart in his terms as president is DOD. He spend years removing all of the warfighter generals that were responsible for the largest killing of muslims in centuries. Then he goes after officers of integrity. He will spend the next two years tearing DOD apart from the inside.
The manuscript for the next Manchurian candidate is written.

[TOWNHALL] But the President touting a victory about core Al Qaeda isn't the most bizarre part of the piece. Further down, Obama claims those engaging in violent extremism have "legitimate grievances" that must be addressed.
Governments that deny human rights play into the hands of extremists who claim that violence is the only way to achieve change. Efforts to counter violent extremism will only succeed if citizens can address legitimate grievances through the democratic process and express themselves through strong civil societies.
What, exactly, does Obama mean when he says "legitimate grievances"? The grievances Al Qaeda and ISIS hold are against infidels and Muslims who don't go far enough to wage jihad on the West. These "grievances" aren't economic, despite what the State Department would like us to believe.

I think I am going to throw up.
So that's the new narrative? So its the same excuse making all over again?
Haven't they been listening to what ISIS is saying?
Please explain all of those rich pampered kids running off to fight with these monsters

Looks like ISIS or ISIL will end up similar to Hamas, Hezbollah, PLO, Iranian Revolutionaries.... And actually be recognized as a ruling entity for which to appease.

"I think I am going to throw up. So that's the new narrative? So its the same excuse making all over again?"
Yup. The New Narrative is no different from the Old Narrative: Muslims are the new "Officially Recognized Poor Helpless Brown-skinned Victims of Western Imperialism" and are to be fawned over and pandered to. Treating these murderous savages as having "legitimate" grievances makes Progressives feel warm, fuzzy, and "inclusive."
"Haven't they been listening to what ISIS is saying?"
Of course not. They only listen to Marx, Mao, Chomsky and Michael Moore.

How about – corruption? President Obama correctly argues that for recruitment purposes terrorists exploit citizen’s discontent with their government. Many of the Obama CT policies rightly deserve considerable criticism. This twisted statement is not one of them.

That's a lot of words to dance around an issue and try to make it a conscious well thought out policy.
BS on that. They don't want to call it ISLAMIC because that would contradict the narrative that makes Islam the religion of peace and Christianity the religion of fanatics.
What the author doesn't get that this has been the consensus policy of the Western political class since at least 9/11 2001.
In fact the very term 'War on Terror' was chosen in order to frame the issue. The enemy is the method 'terror.'
By giving in to Muslims' political demands we can show them that they don't need 'terror' to make us compliant. Thus 'terror' is defeated and the war is won.

I agree its a conscious policy. The hope was that if we could be seen as the strong horse the bulk of Muslims would fall to our side (as long as we didn't offend them by blanketting their entire religion).
Now we have pissed away the strong horse image so we will never know if they would have fallen to our side or if they were always on the radical side but too lazy and cowardly to actually do anything about it.
Tut tut. And tut.
[DAWN] STOCK-TAKING is under way in the wake of Tuesday's suicide kaboom in Lahore which ended five precious lives. The incident was followed by yet another bombing at an imambargah a day later on the outskirts of Islamabad. In Lahore, a bigger, more devastating incident was avoided since the attacker was apparently unable to reach his target; yet, significantly, the bomber escaped notice and managed to reach the gate of the police lines that should have been one of the most protected places in the city and is a very obvious target.
The recent incidents of terror which have come in quick succession have caused much unease across the country, and are enough reason for law-enforcers brought together by the National Action Plan to review measures, reaffirm their resolve and consolidate their efforts to root out militancy. For the sum to be meaningful, each part must first be fully empowered and committed to the job.

I'd be curious how many of these women are actually non-muslims. I think the number is roughly 2 (the austrian idiots). The rest are most likely Muslims living in the West, possibly born in the West, but not actually OF the West.
[DAWN] THE burning to death of 45 people in western Iraq and the beheading of 21 Egyptian Coptic hostages in Libya should make regional states and world powers revise their pusillanimous strategy if they are serious about destroying the criminal hordes operating as the self-styled Islamic State. ...formerly ISIS or ISIL, depending on your preference. Before that al-Qaeda in Iraq, as shaped by Abu Musab Zarqawi. They're very devout, committing every atrocity they can find in the Koran and inventing a few more. They fling Allah around with every other sentence, but to hear the pols talk they're not really Moslems.... The response by the US-led coalition hasn't served to break the IS militia's strength, for it continues to remain in occupation of large chunks of territory and seems to be expanding its area of influence. Its stunning advance from western Iraq to Syria as far as the Turkish border has come to a halt, and now, like similar bad boy groups looking to conquer territory, it will need time to consolidate. However,

The strategy should use drones to find any troop movements on the open road and then destroy the leading elements. Follow up with A10 runs or B52 strikes to finish the job.
Before long they'll be hiding in the cities and running out of food.
